MY DEALER ASSURED ME THAT THIS ISSUE HAD BEEN RESOLVED ON MY BIKE BEFORE I TOOK DELIVERY OF IT. WITHIN DAYS OF TAKING DELIVERY OF THE BIKE, THE ENGINE WAS IDLING ROUGHLY, STALLING AT STOP LIGHTS AND RUNNING ROUGHLY WHEN OPERATED AT SLOW SPEEDS, BELOW 35 MPH. ON SEVERAL OCCASIONS, I APPLIED POWER TO START OFF FROM AN INTERSECTION AND THE BIKE STALLED. THESE WERE ALL SYMPTOMS OF THE FUEL LINE CLAMP ISSUE, AS REPORTED BY MANY SCARABEO 500 OWNERS. I FIXED THE PROBLEM MYSELF BECAUSE I DO NOT LIVE NEAR AN APRILIA DEALER. UPON REMOVING THE IN-TANK FUEL PUMP, I IMMEDIATELY NOTICED THAT THERE WERE NO CLAMPS ON EITHER END OF THE FUEL LINE. I INSTALLED THE CLAMPS, AS WELL AS REPLACED THE FUEL LINE WITH LINE APPROVED FOR SUBMERGING IN FUEL (SAE30R10), AS IT WAS UNCLEAR AS TO THE SUITABILITY OF THE STOCK FUEL LINE FOR SUBMERGED USE.
