The contact owns a 2001 Audi TT. The contact stated while driving approximately 40 MPH and following a slight left curve in the road, the rear end of the vehicle was drifting to the left and to the right violently. The contact had difficulty regaining control of the vehicle. The contact stated no warning light was illuminated. The contact stated that before the loss of control there was an abnormal sound like metal striking the ground from the rear of the vehicle.
