Passenger brake light harness keeps melting. This is my second Bmw and both had the same problem. The car keeps having loss of power while driving on the freeway. Probably something to do with fuel pump.

THE CAR DOORS GET STUCK IN LOCKED STATE AND WILL NOT UNLOCK FROM INSIDE. THIS HAPPENS WHEN VEHICLE IS PARKED AFTER A DRIVE OR WHEN YOU START UP THE VEHICLE AND IT IS IN PARKED POSITION. THIS IS A SAFETY ISSUE AS THE DRIVER OR PASSENGER CAN GET LOCKED INSIDE THE CAR. THIS HAPPENS DUE TO FAILED LOCK ACTUATOR AND POSSIBLE MECHANICAL FAILURE IN THE DOOR LOCK MECHANISM. THIS ISSUE IS EXTREMELY WIDESPREAD YET THERE IS NO RECALL FROM BMW ON THIS ISSUE. HERE IS A LINK WHERE MANY PEOPLE HAVE REPORTED THE SAME ISSUE. BMW DOES NOT HAVE A RECALL FOR THIS ISSUE AND THE REPAIR IS CHARGEABLE EVEN IF THE SAME ISSUE AFFECTS MULTIPLE DOORS OVER A PERIOD OF TIME.
