So many issues with the Buick. Made of glass. First I had no coolant line and I took it to be inspected before at, Baumen Ford and they said everything was fine with it. Turns out needed new coolant line, head gasket, timing cover, and switch. 5 new tires, rebuilt transmission, epc solenoid, transmission lines, rear pivot, left front wheel barring, formed band, and many many more. Currently with everything replaced and more that I haven’t listed/can’t state because don’t know the term. Already Has costed me 10k. And still have issues, with the APP, code P1125, P2120, P2138, & C0240. Need to inspect these car Models from 2003-2009 as they all have similar issues and nothing has been done.

LOW-BEAM HEADLAMPS TURNED OFF WHILE VEHICLE WAS RUNNING. HIGH-BEAM LIGHTS STILL FUNCTIONAL. WHILE DRIVING, MY HEADLIGHTS WOULD SUDDENLY TURN OFF WITHOUT WARNING, AND I'D HAVE TO USE MY HIGH-BEAMS. AFTER A FEW SECONDS, THEY WOULD COME BACK ON. THIS HAPPENED A FEW TIMES, BUT NOW THE LOW-BEAMS DON'T COME ON AT ALL. THERE IS A RECALL FOR THIS ISSUE, BUT MY VIN ISN'T INCLUDED FOR SOME REASON.

HELLO, MY 2006 BUICK LACROSSE REGULAR BEAM HEADLIGHTS KEEPS GOING OUT DUE TO THE WIRING GETTING HOT FOR SOME REASON. NO AFTERMARKET HIGHLIGHTS OR BULBS BEEN ADDED. THE WIRING IS MELTING COMPLETELY. YOU CAN SEE SMOKE COMING FROM THE HEADLIGHT ASSEMBLY. I'M ALSO EXPERIENCING MY ENTIRE DASH GOES OUT WHILE DRIVING FOR 2-SECONDS THEN COMES BACK ON, I'M NOT SURE IF THE WIRING THAT'S SHORTING OUT FROM MY LOW BEAM HEADLIGHTS AFTER BURNING IS CAUSING THIS ISSUE OR NOT SINCE THE WIRES BEGINS TO TOUCH AFTER THE WIRE COVERING IS BURNED. I CONTACTED BUICK THE MANUFACTURE, AND THEY ARE GIVING ME THE RUN AROUND ASKING ME QUESTIONS THAT DOESN'T EVEN PERTAIN TO THE ISSUES AT HAND, LIKE WHEN WAS YOUR LAST OIL CHANGE? THIS ISSUE WITH THE HEADLIGHTS IS HIGHLY DANGEROUS AND CAN CAUSE A FIRE AND PREVENT VISIBILITY FOR MYSELF AND OTHERS TO SEE ME AT NIGHT, PLUSH GETTING A TICKET FROM THE POLICE FOR HAVING NO HEADLIGHTS. RECALL IN 2014 RE: IGNITION SWITCH FAILURE OF MORE THAN ONE KEY ON KEYRING IN IGNITION. WEIGHT WOULD CAUSE CAR TO SHUTDOWN(TURN OFF IGNITION) IN A CRASH THUS NOT ALLOWING AIRBAGS TO DEPLOY. RECALL STARTED IN 2014. DID NOT OWN THE CAR UNTIL 2017. WAS NOT AWARE OF RECALL. SON WAS INJURED IN CRASH OF SUCH VEHICLE ON 2/16/19. HIT A TELEPHONE POLE AT APPROXIMATELY 60MPH. I LOOKED THE PROBLEM UP ONLINE AND FOUND THAT MANY PEOPLE HAVE COMPLAINED ABOUT THIS. IT IS A SAFETY CONCERN SINCE I WILL NOT BE ABLE TO GET OUT OF THE CAR IN AN ACCIDENT.

WHILE DRIVING AT NIGHT, BOTH HEADLIGHTS FAILED TO ILLUMINATE. THE AREA THAT I LIVE IS RURAL AND BACK ROADS DO NOT HAVE STREET LIGHTS. WHILE THE BRIGHTS WERE WORKING, THAT ALSO CREATED A HAZARDOUS CONDITION, AS THE BRIGHTS COULD TEMPORARILY BLIND AN ONCOMING DRIVER, ESPECIALLY DANGEROUS ON NARROW 2 LANE ROADS. THE CAR WAS TAKEN TO ART MORAN BUICK DEALERSHIP AND I PAID OVER $300.00 TO REPLACE HEADLIGHT MODULE. I WAS TOLD THAT GM ONLY COVERED THIS FROM DATE OF PURCHASE TO 12 YEARS OR 150,000 MILES. THIS HAPPENED SIX MONTHS PAST THAT DATE. THE CAR HAS 98,300 MILES ON IT AS OF TODAY. THIS IS A DEFINITE SAFETY HAZARD, AND NHTSA SHOULD REQUIRE A FULL RECALL. I HAVE THE RECALL LETTER FROM GM, AS WELL AS THE PAID BILL FOR THE REPAIR FROM THE BUICK DEALER. HOWEVER, I AM NOT A COMPUTER GENIOUS, SO TELL ME HOW I CAN GET THESE DOCUMENTS TO YOU.

THE ABS AND TRACTION CONTROL WARNING INDICATORS ILLUMINATED. ALSO, THE INSTRUMENT PANEL FAILED TO REMAIN ILLUMINATED IN ORDER FOR THE CONTACT TO VIEW NECESSARY INFORMATION WHILE DRIVING. IN ADDITION, THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE RECEIVED THE AFTERMARKET SEAT COVERING INDICATED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 06V417000 (AIR BAGS). THE VEHICLE WAS NOT INCLUDED IN THE RECALL FOR THE COVERING TO BE REPLACED DESPITE THE MANUFACTURER ASSURING THEM IT WAS THE SAME MATERIAL USED. THE CONTACT TOOK THE VEHICLE TO A CERTIFIED MECHANIC WHO DIAGNOSED THAT THE HUB NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED, BUT THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE VEHICLE HAD NOT RECEIVED A SECOND REPAIR FOR THE ABS AND INSTRUMENT PANEL. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 48,000.

CONTACTED GM WHO CLAIMED MY PARTICULAR CAR WAS NOT INCLUDED IN RECALL. AS MENTIONED IN PREVIOUS COMMENTS, THAT MAKES NO SENSE. IF ITS THE SAME PROBLEM AS OTHER RECALLED CARS HAD WHY ISN'T MY CAR ALSO RECALLED? IN MY OPINION GM NEEDS TO RECALL ALL CARS WITH THIS PROBLEM OR SUPPLY A VALID REASON WHY SOME CARS ARE EXCLUDED FROM THE RECALL.

THE CONSUMER STOPPED AND INSPECTED THE VEHICLE AND DISCOVERED SMOKE COMING FROM THE FUSE BOX. HE DISCONNECTED THE BATTERY CABLE, BUT SMOKE WAS STILL COMING OUT. HE REMOVED THE COVER FROM THE FUSE BOX AND A PART OF THE FUSE BOX HAD MELTED AND SMOKE CONTINUED TO COME OUT BUT AFTER A MINUTE IT STOPPED. I HAD TO BE TO WORK BY 6:00 AM ON THE DATE OF THE INCIDENT. I ENTERED MY VEHICLE AT 5:30 TO LEAVE AND DISCOVERED UPON IGNITION THAT THE LOW BEAM HEADLAMPS WERE OUT OF SERVICE. WE PUT UP WITH IT FOR A BIT, THEN I PURCHASED A NEW VALVE AND INSTALLED IT MYSELF, LIGHT DID NOT GO OUT AND IT STILL TO THIS DAY SAYS THE VALVE (NEW ONE EVEN) IS STUCK OPEN. A RELATED PROBLEM WITH THE FRONT AND REAR DRIVER SIDE DOOR WHERE THE DOOR WILL NOT OPEN FROM INSIDE OR OUTSIDE. REPLACED THE CABLE IN THE FRONT DRIVER SIDE THAT WAS CORRODED, NOW EXPERIENCING THE SAME PROBLEM WITH THE REAR DRIVER SIDE. I DON'T WANT TO SPEND $200 TO REPLACE ANOTHER CABLE. IF I POUND THE INSIDE OF THE DOOR JUST RIGHT AND IN THE RIGHT SPOT, I CAN GET IT TO OPEN. I WENT TO THE PARKING GARAGE AFTER WORK, AND HAD DIFFICULT GETTING INTO MY VEHICLE. THE REMOTE DID NOT WORK. WHEN I PUT THE KEY IN THE LOCK, IT WOULD TURN BUT NOT UNLOCK THE DOOR. AFTER ABOUT 15 MINUTES, I FINALLY GOT INTO MY CAR. I PICKED MY SISTER UP AND WENT TO THE RESTAURANT. I WAS UNABLE TO GET OUT OF THE CAR. I TRIED THE REMOTE, THE INSIDE RELEASE AND PULLING ON THE LOCK. I FINALLY GOT IT TO RELEASE. THEN I HAD PROBLEMS CLOSING THE DOOR. WE GOT IT SHUT BUT WHEN WE CAME BACK FROM THE RESTAURANT IT WAS OPEN. I DROPPED MY SISTER OFF AND DROVE THE MILE HOME, THE DOOR AGAIN WOULD NOT OPEN NOR WOULD THE PASSENGER DOOR OPEN. I AM CLAUSTROPHOBIC AND BECAME VERY UPSET. I WENT BACK TO MY SISTER'S AND GOT THE DOOR OPEN . WE LEFT IT AJAR, AND WHEN I GOT HOME IT STILL WOULD NOT OPEN. AFTER ABOUT ANOTHER 15 MINUTES, I FINALLY GOT IT TO RELEASE. THEN NEXT DAY WHEN MY HUSBAND TOOK THE CAR OVER TO THE DEALERS, HE COULD NOT GET THE DOOR TO OPEN. HE WAS ABLE TO GET THE PASSENGER DOOR OPEN AND CLIMBED OUT THAT WAY. I CAN UNDERSTAND THE ELECTRONICS MALFUNCTIONING, BUT NOT THE MANUAL SYSTEM. I REALLY FEEL THIS IS A SAFETY HAZARD. DASH LIGHTS WILL NOT COME ON WHEN STARTING THE CAR. THIS HAPPENS ON OCCASION (ABOUT 2 TIMES PER MONTH). IT IS IMPOSSIBLE TO DETERMINE WHEN THIS HAPPENS. THE DASH LIGHTS MAY COME ON FROM FIVE MINUTES TO AN HOUR AFTER THE CAR IS STARTED. THIS MOSTLY HAPPENS WHEN THE CAR IS FIRST STARTED. ON SEVERAL OCCASIONS IT HAS DONE OUT WHILE DRIVING. GM HAS OFFERED A DIAGNOSES OF THE PROBLEM BUT THIS WOULD ONLY BE BENEFICIAL IF THEY WERE OFF AND STAYED OFF WHEN I WOULD GO TO A DEALER.
