BRAKE GAVE OUT WHILE APPLYING PRESSURE, CAR SLOWED DOWN AND DID NOT STOP, NEXT TIME PEDAL FADE TO THE FLOOR, REPLACE MASTER CYLINDER.
ALTERNATOR FAILED AT 45,600 MILES, WATER PUMP FAILED AT 46,000 MILES, MASTER CYLINDER FAILED AT 48,017 MILES. *AK
THE BRAKES WILL SOMETIMES STOP VERY HIGH WHEN DEPRESSED, USUALLY AFTER DRIVING A SHORT DISTANCE AND STOPPING AND THEN RE-STARTING THE CAR. AFTER RELEASING PRESSURE ON THE PEDAL, IT WILL THEN DEPRESS TO THE NORMAL POSITION. IT IS VERY SCARY AND WE DO NOT KNOW IF THE CAR WILL STOP ALTHOUGH IT DOES NOT SEEM TO AFFECT THE STOPPING POWER*AK.
IT HAD BEEN RAINING IN A PARKING LOT OF A DEPARTMENT STORE, VEHICLE PROCEEDED OUT OF PARKING LOT. DRIVER'S FOOT SLIPPED OFF BRAKE PEDAL, AND RAN HEAD-ON TO A LIGHT POLE. UPON IMPACT, DRIVER'S SIDE AIRBAG DIDN'T DEPLOY. HAD VEHICLE TOWED TO A SERVICE STATION. DUE TO FRONT DAMAGE VEHICLE HAS BEEN TOTALED. *AK

ABS BRAKES AND THE DASHBOARD SENSORS DO NOT OPERATE PROPERLY. DEALER CONTACTED, AND DIAGNOSTIC CHECK WAS DONE. FOUND THREE TROUBLED CODES, AND FAULTY ABS COMPUTER. PROBLEMS CANNOT BE REMEDIED, AND STILL EXISTS. *AK
I HAVE WRITTEN BUICK MOTOR DIVISION TWICE REGARDING THIS SERIOUS DEFECT AND HAVE BEEN DENIED ANY ASSISTANCE OR SATISFACTION. I RECEIVED THE TYPICAL BOILER PLATE LETTER REPLY STATING THAT BECAUSE MY VEHICLE WAS OUT OF WARRANTY AND BECAUSE IT WAS SEVEN YEARS OLD THEY FELT NO RESPONSIBILITY TO REPLACE THE COMPONENTS RESPONSIBLE FOR THE ABS FAILURE. I DOCUMENTED TO THEM A FIVE-YEAR HISTORY OF ABS FAILURES IN BUICK LE SABRES AND PARK AVENUES, BUT THEY DID NOT ACKNOWLEDGE THE PROBLEM (I DIDN'T EXPECT THEM TO). I BELIEVE THE NHTSA SHOULD INVESTIGATE THE BUICK'S CHRONIC ABS DEFECTIVE COMPONENTS AND REQUIRE BUICK TO RECALL THEIR PRODUCT TO REPLACE THE SYSTEM COMPONENTS TO PROTECT THE DRIVING PUBLIC FROM THIS SERIOUS SAFETY DEFECT. ABS LIGHT CAME ON. VEHICLE IN DEALER SHOP, AND WAS INFORMED VEHICLE NEEDS A PMV VALVE. DEALER REFUSED TO REPAIR UNLESS COST GOES TO CONSUMER. *AK
THE BRAKE PEDAL AND THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL ARE TOO CLOSE. SOMETIMES WHEN APPLYING THE BRAKES FOOT TOUCHES THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL, CAUSING THE VEHICLE TO SURGE FORWARD. *AK
WHEN TRAVELING AT 35 MPH AND ATTEMPTING TO MAKE A GRADUAL STOP THE BRAKE PEDAL TRAVELED TO THE FLOORBOARD, CAUSING EXTENDED STOPPING DISTANCE, RESULTING IN THE CONSUMER HAVING AN ACCIDENT. CONSUMER HAS CONTACTED THE DEALER, DEALER WAS UNABLE TO DETERMINE THE CAUSE. PLEASE PROVIDE ANY FURTHER DETAILS. *AK

DEALER STATED THAT THE BRAKES PEDAL GOES TO THE FLOOR AFTER TWO OR THREE ATTEMPTS. THE MOTOR PACK VALVES ARE BAD, REPLACED MOTOR PACK CODES 61-45. ALSO NEEDED MASTER CYLINDER TO COMPLETE REPAIRS. THIS IS WHAT THE DEALER STATED IN THERE REPORT THAT THIS VEHICLE NEEDED TO BE CORRECTED. *AK
