WHILE LEAVING AN INTERSECTION I WAS TRAVELING DOWN A SLIGHT HILL , I HEARD A STRANGE SOUND AND REALIZED I HAD NO STEERING THE WHEEL WAS TURNING ,BUT WITH NO CONTROL OF THE CAR . THE CAR HIT A TELEPHONE POLE THAT WAS INSTALLED TO HOLD UP 4 MAILBOXES . THE ENGINE CARRIAGE OF THE CAR THAT IS BOLTED TO THE FRAME SEPARATED FROM THE FRAME PAST THE BOLTS CAUSING THE STEERING CONNECTION TO COME APART , THE CAR IS TOTALED . TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 1995 BUICK LESABRE. THE CONTACT NOTICED THAT THE PAINT ON THE DOORS, HOOD, TRUNK AND ROOF HAD BEGUN TO RUST AND CORRODE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO THE DEALER FOR REPAIRS. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 124,000 AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 127,000.

DRIVING MY 1995 BUICK LESABRE I DROVE DOWN AND UP A SLIGHT ROAD VARIATION AND THEN HEARD A NOISE I TURNED RIGHT TO GET TO MY OFFICE UPON MAKING THE TURN I LOST ALL STEERING I GOT THE CAR OFF THE ROAD AND LOOKED THE WHOLE UNDERCARRIAGE CRADLE WAS SITTING NEAR THE GROUND / I HAD THE CAR TOWED .. UPON FURTHER INSPECTION THE BOLTS OF THE CRADLE( UNDER ENGINE SUPPORTS WERE BROKEN. THANK GOD I WASN'T DRIVING ON A HIGHWAY SURELY MYSELF OR SOMEONE WOULD HAVE BEEN KILLED OR INJURED. THIS CAR MODEL HAS MANY OTHER CASES OF SIMILAR DEFECT I SAW ON LINE. THIS CAR SHOULD BE BANNED FROM THE ROADS. *TR

TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 1995 BUICK LESABRE. WHILE DRIVING 20 MPH, THE FOUR BOLTS FELL FROM THE CHASSIS. THE CONTACT LOST CONTROL OF THE VEHICLE. THE FRONT END OF THE VEHICLE FELL DOWN. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED AND HAS BEEN REPAIRED. THE CURRENT AND FAILURE MILEAGES WERE 74,000. UPDATED 02-01-08. *KB ALL FOUR BOLTS THAT WERE HOLDING THE CHASSIS HAD BROKEN OFF.

ON NOVEMBER 20,2003 I PAID $394.62 FOR REPAIR AND REPAINTT OF THE HOOD. THE FOLLOWING NOVEMBER MORE PEELING WAS NOTICED ON THE TRUNK AND ROOF OF THE CAR. ON JANUARY11,2005, I HAD THE ENTIRE CAR REPAINTED AT MAACO , 1570- N WASHINGTON ST., SARASOTA, FL 34243 AND PAID $811.00. LATER I WAS INFORMED THAT THIS YEAR MODEL WAS CONSIDERED A PEELER. CONSUMER STATED THAT THE BOLTS HOLDING THE ENGINE CRADLE WERE CORRODED. AS A RESULT, THE CRADLE FELL DOWN AND DISENGAGED THE STEERING LINKAGES. VEHICLE COULD NOT STEER PROPERLY. CONSUMER TOOK THE VEHICLE TO THE DEALER, AND THE MANUFACTURER WAS ALSO CONTACTED. CONSUMER WAS TOLD THAT THERE WAS NO RECALL FOR THIS MALFUNCTION, AND THERE WAS NOTHING THEY COULD DO. *AK

DOME LIGHT IS SO DIM THAT IT IS UNUSEABLE. ...HEAD RESTRAINTS ARE TOO LOW. WON'T EXTEND TO PROPER HEIGHT FOR PROTECTION ....POWER DOOR LOCK (DRIVER SIDE) STOPPED WORKING. KEY WON'T WORK EITHER. HAVE TO ENTER FROM PASSENGER SIDE....PASSENGER SIDE POWER DOOR LOCK ALSO STOPPED WORKING ABOUT A MONTH AFTER THE DRIVER SIDE WENT OUT....GAS GAAUGE IS DECEPTIVE. VERY INACCURATE. CHANGES WHEN MOVING AND WHEN STOIPPED. ....STORAGE/GLOVE BOX BETWEEN FRONT SEATS LOCKED ITSELF AND WOULDN'T OPEN. HAD TO BREAK IT OPEN TO RETRIEVE MEDICINE NEEDED.

THE MOTOR IN QUESTION WAS REPLACED BY THE DEALER 14 MONTHS AGO AT 50000+ MILES AND HAS FAILED ONCE AGAIN AFTER APPROXIMATELY 30 TIMES OF USE. I CONTACTED THE DEALER FOR ASSISTANCE IN REPLACEMENT AND WAS GIVEN NO ASSISTANCE OTHER THAN REFERRAL TO THE DISTRICT REP FOR BUICK. HE INFORMED ME THAT (AS A CONSUMER HE AGREED THE PART SHOULD NOT FAIL SO QUICK) BUT SINCE THE VEHICLE WAS OUT OF WARRANTY, BUICK HAD NO RESPONSIBILITY TO REPAIR THEREFORE, HE COULD NOT APPROVE THE REPAIR. I FEEL THE FAILURES ARE PREMATURE AND THAT BUICK SHOULD REPAIR AT NO EXPENSE TO THE CONSUMER.

AIRBAG MODULE ON THE STEERING WHEEL CAUSES THE HORN TO BLOW INTERMITTENTLY. ALSO, POWER WINDOW MOTOR IS DEFECTIVE/ POWER SEATS HAVE RIPPED SEAMS, AND TIRES HAD A THUMPING SOUND AND HAD TO BE REPLACED. DEALER AWARE OF PROBLEMS, AND COULD NOT REMEDY SITUATION. PROBLEM STILL EXISTS. ALSO, A LOT OF PAINT HAS BEEN CHIPPED OFF THE VEHICLE, BUICK REFUSES TO REPAINT. *AK *ML
