AIR CONDITIONER INOPERABLE DUE TO FAULTY CORE AND EVAPORATOR. CONSUMER STATES TIRES WERE BAD, ONE TIRE EXPERIENCED A LEAK, FAULTY VALVE STEM, NO SPECIFIC TIRE INFORMATION GIVEN. EXHAUST PIPE FAILURE, REPLACED FUEL FILTER, INTAKE MANIFOLD LEAKED AND WAS REPLACED. BATTERY AND GENERATOR ASSEMBLY REPLACED. STEERING GEAR FAILURE. TRANSMISSION COOLING LINES LEAKED. ROCKER PANELS RUSTED AND WERE REPLACED. *SLC
NATURE OF PROBLEM: I PURCHASED A LEMON!! I PURCHASED A 1993 BUICK PARK AVENUE ON 2/21/98 FOR $12,800.00 (ALONG WITH MY HUSBANDS 1991 JEEP WRANGLER) FROM STEPHENS BUICK/JEEP. AT THAT SAME TIME I PURCHASED AN EXTENDED WARRANTY FOR 48 MONTH OR 40,000 MILES, CLASSIC JCX FOR $1,466.00. SINCE THE DATE OF PURCHASE, I HAVE HAD NOTHING BUT PROBLEMS WITH THIS CAR. ABS LIGHT WOULD KEEP COMING ON & FAILED TO GO OFF. BEEN TO DEALER & WAS INFORMED ABS VALVE ASSEMBLY NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. PROBLEM DID NOT AFFECT BRAKES WHEN APPLIED. *AK
ABS HAS FAILED TWICE SINCE I HAVE OWNED THE CAR. THE FIRST WAS THE ORIGINAL SYSTEM, AND THE SECOND FAILED APPROX. SIX MONTHS AGO. THE ORIGINAL FAILURE WAS REPAIRED BY A BUICK DEALER/TERRY BUICK/JACKSONVILLE,FLA. *AK
WHILE DRIVING THROTTLE GOT STUCK, CAUSING THE VEHICLE TO SUDDENLY/ UNEXPECTEDLY ACCELERATE. BRAKES BARELY STOPPED VEHICLE. WHILE INSPECTING THE VEHICLE, THEY UNPLUGGED THE CRUISE CONTROL MODULE AND THE ENGINE RETURNED TO ITS IDLE. BUT WHEN PLUGGING IN THE CRUISE CONTROL MODULE, THE ENGINE STARTED TO IDLE VERY HIGH. TOOK VEHICLE TO DEALER, FOUND DEFECTIVE ENGINE CONTROL MODULE. REPAIRS MADE AT OWNER'S COST. *AK *ML
I HAVE BEEN THE OWNER OF THIS VEHICLE FOR THREE YEARS . I PURCHASED THIS VEHICLE FROM A DEALERSHIP IN RICHMOND AT THAT TIME IT HAD 34K MILES. I AM NOT A PERSON THAT DRIVE FAST OR RIDE MY BRAKES, SO I FIND IT VERY DISTURBING THAT SOMETHING AS MAJOR AS THE ABS BRAKING SYSTEM SHOULD HAVE TO BE REPLACED THIS SOON. THE PROBLEM I INCURRED WAS THAT THE ABS LIGHT WOULD NOT GO OUT EVEN AFTER FOLLOWING THE INSTRUCTIONS IN THE MANUEL. I THEN TOOK IT TO BE CHECKED OUT AS THE BOOK STATED. IHAD TO HAVE THE ABS VALUE ASSEMBLE REPLACED AND I FEEL THAT THIS SHOULD BE INVISTIGATED. THE COST OF THE PART ALONE WAS $578.95 THIS IS A MAJOR PART AND I THINK THEY MIGHT SHOULD HAVE HAD A RECALL ON SAID PART. *AK

DID FRONT BRAKE "JOB". 2 DAYS LATER THE LIGHT CAME BACK ON. THE AUTOMATIC DOOR LOCKS DO NOT WORK IN THE FRONT DOORS. THE PASSAGNER SIDE DOES NOT LOCK OR UNLOCK. THE DRIVERS SIDE LOCKS BUT WILL NOT UNLOCK. BUT THE CAR WILL LOCK THE DOORS WHEN YOU PUT IT IN GEAR OR TURN OFF THE ENGINE - LOCKING YOU IN THE CAR. THIS TOO WAS TAKEN TO A MECHANIC AND AFTER 400$ THE OWNER DECIDED THAT WAS ENOUGH MONEY TO SPEND AND NOT HAVE THE PROBLEM CORRECTED. *AK

THE CONSUMER HAS BEEN EXPERIENCING PROBLEMS WITH ANTI-LOCK BRAKES. DURING INCLEMENT WEATHER ANTI-LOCK BRAKE SYSTEM DOES NOT WORK. THE MANUFACTURER HAS BEEN CONTACTED. *AK
BRAKE LIGHT WAS ON ALL THE TIME, AS IF THE PARKING BRAKE WAS ON, THE BELL SOUNDS ALL THE TIME. DEALER REPAIRED $781, AND PROBLEM STILL EXISTS. DEALER CANNOT DUPLICATE THE PROBLEM. *AK

WHILE GOING DOWN A HILL APPLIED THE BRAKES, AND THE BRAKES DID NOT FUNCTION BECAUSE OF LOSS OF THE BRAKE FLUID. PLEASE DESCRIBE DETAILS. *AK
