AS WE WERE DRIVING HOME IN MAY OF 2014 THE LEFT FRONT BRAKE GRABBED AS IF I HAD APPLIED THE BRAKE,SINCE THEN WE HAVE HAD BOTH WHEEL BEARINGS REPLACED LOWER BALL JOINTS AND TIE ROD ENDS BUT NOTHING HAS CHANGED. IT HAS GRABBED SEVERAL TIMES SINCE THEN,THIS IS A SERIOUS MATTER THAT SHOULD BE DEALT WITH, I REFUSE TO LET MY WIFE DRIVE THE VAN ESPECIALLY WHEN WE HAVE OUR FIVE CHILDREN WITH US BECAUSE WHEN THIS OCCURS IT JERKS THE TO THE LEFT TOWARDS ONCOMING TRAFFIC. *TR

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2005 BUICK TERRAZA. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THERE WAS AN ABNORMAL SQUEAKING NOISE BEING EMITTED FROM THE REAR OF THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED ABOUT THE FAILURE AND INFORMED THE CONTACT THAT THE VEHICLE WAS NOT INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER 10V110000 (SUSPENSION). THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 91,000.

DURING RECENT PREVENTIVE MAINTENANCE, OIL CHANGE, TIRE ROTATION, AND INSPECTION. TECHNICIAN REPORTED THAT THE DRIVERS SIDE REAR HUB BEARING WAS FAULTY AND NEEDED REPLACEMENT. FURTHER INVESTIGATION REVEALED THAT THE REAR STABILIZER BAR WAS IMPROPERLY INSTALLED. THE LINK WAS INSTALLED THROUGH THE SPRING AND WAS RESTING ON THE SPRING INSTEAD OF BEING WRAPPED AROUND THE SPRING. THE VEHICLE WAS NEVER IN AN ACCIDENT, HAD NEVER BEEN WORKED ON, OTHER THAT PREVENTIVE MAINTENANCE AND MANUFACTURER RECALLS. WEAR TO BOTH THE SPRING AND THE STABILIZER LINK WERE NOTED. THIS IMPROPER INSTALLATION MUST HAVE HAPPENED AT THE FACTORY. *TR

I HAVE ALWAYS DRIVEN GM CARS AND I CAN'T UNDERSTAND WHY GM DOESN'T RECALL AND OF THE 2005 BUCK TERRAZA'S AND GIVE PEOPLE A REFUND OR A NEW CAR. THIS CAR HAS BEEN IN THE SHOP AT LEAST 30 TIMES SINCE FEB. 2006-MAR 2008. PROBLEMS FROM TIRES, FRONT END PROBLEMS, DOORS, CD/DVD PLAYER, HEATED SEATS, ELECTRICAL, BRAKES, ROTORS, YOU NAME IT, IT'S BEEN DONE. NOW I AM HAVING A SAME PROBLEM THAT I HAD IN MARCH 2007 AND IS HAPPENING AGAIN AND BECAUSE I NO LONGER HAVE A WARRANTY I WILL END UP PAYING FOR IT! I DON'T THINK THIS IS RIGHT. I WISH I COULD JUST GIVE THE VAN BACK AND MAKE THEM GIVE ME SOMETHING ELSE. I HAVE HAD BUICK'S IN THE PAST AND HAVE NEVER! HAD PROBLEMS. TL* - THE CONTACT COMPLAINED ABOUT A VARIETY OF VEHICLE PROBLEMS. FAILURES. THE HEATING AND COOLING SYSTEM DID NOT CONSISTENTLY PROVIDE HEAT OR AIR CONDITIONING. THE CONTACT TOOK THE VEHICLE TO THE DEALER 7 TIMES FOR THE HEATING AND COOLING SYSTEM FAILURE. HOWEVER, SHE STATED THAT SHE HAS HAD PROBLEMS WITH SYSTEM WORKING ON AT LEAST 15 OCCASIONS. THE LAST TIME THAT THE CONTACT TOOK THE VEHICLE TO THE DEALER FOR HEATING AND COOLING FAILURE WAS DECEMBER 27, 2006. THE CONTACT STATED THAT EACH TIME SHE HAS TAKEN THE VEHICLE FOR REPAIR IT WAS REPROGRAMMED. THE REPAIR WORKED FOR A WHILE AND THEN BEGAN FAILING AGAIN. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE CRANK SEAL WAS LEAKING AND REPLACED 01/02/07. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE SWAY BARS FOR THE STABILIZERS WERE REPLACED 07/2006. ALL 4 BRAKE ROTORS WERE WARPED AND THEY WERE REPAIRED, BUT NOT REPLACED 07/2006. THE CONTACT STATED THAT ALL FOUR TIRES HAD TO BE REPLACED AT 20,000 MILES BECAUSE THEY WERE ALL CUPPED, AND SHE HAD TO REPLACE ALL FOUR OF THEM 10/16/2006. THE CONTACT ALSO STATED THAT THE BACKUP ASSIST DIDN'T WORK FOR 3 OR 4 WEEKS. THE CONTACT ALSO STATED THAT THERE IS A CONSTANT DINGING NOISE SUCH AS WHEN YOU HAVE LEFT A CAR DOOR OPEN, HOWEVER, A CAR DOOR IS NOT OPEN. THE CONTACT STATED THAT IF SHE TURNS THE CAR OFF AND LETS IT SIT FOR A FEW MINUTES THE DINGING STOPS, BUT IF SHE DOESN'T TURN THE VEHICLE OFF AND WAITS IT KEEPS DINGING. THE CONTACT STATED THIS HAS HAPPENED FOUR TIMES TO DATE. THE CONTACT BELIEVED THERE WAS SOMETHING WRONG WITH THE ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. *AK

HORN TAKES A LOT OF PRESSURE TO MAKE IT WORK. 2 METRO BUICK DEALERS SAY ALL ABOVE IS NORMAL AND CAN NOT FIND ANYTHING WRONG. ONE DEALER PRINTED 2 SERVICE BULLETINS TO SHOW ME GM SAYS IT IS NORMAL. HEADLIGHTS AND INTERIOR LIGHTS DIM AND BRIGHTEN ON THEIR OWN. HAVE HAD NUMEROUS ONCOMING CARS BLINK THEIR HIGH BEAMS AT ME THINKING MY HIGH BEAMS ARE ON. I WAS DENIED IN MY REQUEST FOR A BUICK OFFICIAL TO GET INVOLVED. VAN IS NOW 9 MONTHS OLD AND ONLY 8,000 MILES BECAUSE IT IS UNBEARABLE TO DRIVE WITH ALL THAT SHAKING. *NM
VIBRATION IN CAR AT SPEEDS OF 45-TO-70--STEERING WHEEL VAN HAS BEEN BACK TO DEALER 6 TIMES, HAS ONLY 5900 MILES DEALER HAS REPLACED 2 TIRES, FORCED BALANCED ALL FOUR TIRES SEVERAL TIMES. THE TOW HAS BEEN SET AT ZERO AND ALIGNED 2 TIMES. JUST RECENTLY, THEY PUT 4 NEW MICHELIN TIRES ON VAN AT 5700 MILES, PROBLEM IS STILL THERE, AND IT STILLS GOES TO RIGHT. I HAVE BEEN TOLD AGAIN BY GM, THIS IS JUST THE WAY THE VAN IS AND THEY CAN NOT FIND A FIX, THEY OFFERED A 10 YEAR 100000 EXTENDED WARRANTY ON TOP OF THE 3 YEAR 36 MILE FACTORY WARRANTY. I TOLD THEM WOULD YOU DRIVE THIS VAN LIKE THIS FOREVER, THE PERSON AT GM SAID NO. SO I TOLD HER THAT IS MY ANSWER TO THE EXTENDED WARRANTY. ALSO, THEY HAVE TAKEN A 2006 ON THEIR LOT FOR A RIDE, AND IT HAS THE SAME PROBLEM AS MINE. I HAVE ALSO CALLED OTHER BUICK SERVICE DEPTS. AND I HAVE BEEN TOLD THAT GM HAS BEEN AWARE OF THIS PROBLEM AND STILL HAS NO FIX. MY WIFE AND YOUNG FAMILY NO LONGER FEELS SAFE IN THIS 2005 BUICK TERRAZA CXL. *NM
I OWN A 2005 BUICK TERRAZA. BOUGHT THE VEHICLE IN JULY OF 2005 AT AROUND 8000 MILES NOTICED A VIBRATION IN THE STEERING WHEEL ,TOOK IT TO THE DEALER AND THEY SAID THE TIRES NEEDED TO BE RE-BALANCED. AFTER I LEFT DEALERSHIP STILL NOTICED THE VEHICLE SHAKING. WENT BACK TO THE DEALERSHIP FRONT TIRES ARE NOW GOING BALD AND THEY STATE IT WAS MY FAULT FOR NOT ROTATING AT 5,000 MILES. SO THEY DO IT FOR ME REBALANCE TIRES AND SAY IT IS OKAY. AFTER 4 TIMES OF GOING BACK TO DEALERSHIP FOR THE VIBRATION THEY SAY THERE IS NOTHING THEY CAN DO ABOUT IT. SO I AM SUPPOSED TO LIVE WITH THIS VIBRATION WHEN DRIVING AT SPEEDS OF 65-70. THIS IS A BIG SAFETY ISSUE SINCE THIS WILL JUST LEAD TO MORE PROBLEMS DOWN THE ROAD. THE DEALER POINTS THE FINGER TO BUICK , BUICK POINTS THE FINGER BACK TO THE DEALERSHIP AND NOBODY WANTS TO TACK RESPONSIBILITY FOR THIS. *JB
CONSUMER STATES: THERE WAS A VIBRATION IN THE CAR WHILE DRIVING 45 MPH. THE CONSUMER COULD FEEL THE STEERING WHEEL VIBRATE. THE SEVERITY OF THE VIBRATING DEPENDED ON THE CONDITION OF THE ROAD. ON 5-26-05 THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER WHEN IT HAD ABOUT 500 MILES ON IT TO HAVE THE TIRES BALANCED. THAT DID NOT FIX THE VIBRATING. THE DEALER TOLD THE CONSUMER THEY COULDN'T DO ANYTHING ELSE TO THE CAR UNTIL THE VEHICLE HAD 5,000 MILES ON IT. HE TALKED TO GM ON APPROX. 6-30-05 AND THEY TOLD HIM THEY COULDN'T DO ANYTHING UNTIL THE VEHICLE HAD 7,500 MILES. THE CONSUMER IS AFRAID THE CAR MAY HAVE A BAD TIRE OR A BAD BEARING. THE CONSUMER THEN TOOK THE VEHICLE TO GOODYEAR, BUT THEY WANTED TOO MUCH MONEY TO LOOK AT THE VEHICLE. *NM
