Driving out of a driveway with a slight slope, my traction engaged. It has done this 3-4 times in perfect driving weather and I had not swerved or experienced any issue prior to the light illuminated "TRACTION ENGAGED". It is pretty noisy under my car as well and the ride is not smooth and rather bumpy. It has engaged just backing up in a parking lot.

Well I am uncertain but we have two 2006 Cadillac cts and both have had multiple transmissions replaced. Multiple differential problems and air bag and wireing problems

MY DIFFERENTIAL LOCKED UP , EVEN AFTER THE RECALL FOR THE PINION SEAL WAS COMPLETED. MY VEHICLE LOST CONTROL ON THE HIGHWAY.

TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2006 CADILLAC CTS. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING AT VARIOUS SPEEDS SHE NOTICED THAT THE REAR END OF THE VEHICLE WOULD SEEM LIKE IT'S SLIPPING. SHE ALSO NOTICED THAT THE AIR BAG WARNING LIGHT HAS APPEARED ON THE INSTRUMENTAL PANEL FOR THE PAST TWO YEARS. THE VEHICLE HAS NOT BEEN INSPECTED BY A DEALER NOR HAS THE VEHICLE BEEN REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 60,000.

TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2006 CADILLAC CTS. WHENEVER THE VEHICLE WAS DRIVEN AT VARIOUS SPEEDS, THE CONTACT WOULD HEAR A GRINDING NOISE. SHE TOOK THE VEHICLE TO THE DEALER AND WAS INFORMED THAT THE REAR AXLES NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE MECHANIC ONLY REPAIRED THE REAR DIFFERENTIAL. THE FAILURE RECURRED AND THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN BACK TO THE MECHANIC. THE DEALER REPAIRED THE REAR DIFFERENTIAL AND THE REAR AXLES; HOWEVER, THE FAILURE PERSISTED. SHE RETURNED TO THE DEALER AND WAS INFORMED THAT THE FUEL FILTER AND THE MODULE SENSOR CENTER NEEDED TO BE REPAIRED. THE VEHICLE IS CURRENTLY AT THE DEALER AWAITING REPAIRS. THE MANUFACTURER HAS NOT BEEN NOTIFIED. THE VIN WAS UNKNOWN. THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 18,000 AND FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 25,000.

MY CAR STARTED MAKING "CLUNKING" SOUNDS EVERY TIME PLACED IT IN DRIVE. AFTER DOING SOME RESEARCH ON LINE, I CAME UP WITH A RECALL GM WAS DOING ON MY CAR. ACCORDING TO GM, THERE WAS A BAD REAR DIFFERENTIAL SEAL, AND THAT OIL MAY LEAK OUT. WELL THAT'S EXACTLY WHAT HAPPENED TO MY CAR. NOT ONLY DID THE DIFFERENTIAL FLUID LEAK OUT BUT THE BUSHING BROKE AS WILL. THE DEALERSHIP COVERED THE FLUID LEAK REPAIR (RECALL)...BUT SAID THE BUSING BROKE BECAUSE OF WERE AND TEAR...NOT BECAUSE OF THE OIL LEAK. THEY QUOTED ME OVER $500 TO REPAIR WHEN THIS WOULDN'T OF HAPPENED HAD THE SEAL BEEN GOOD IN THE FIRST PLACE! *TR

TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2006 CADILLAC CTS. THE CONTACT RECEIVED A RECALL NOTICE FOR THE REAR AXLE SUSPENSION ON FEBRUARY 8, 2008. THE DEALER SCHEDULED AN APPOINTMENT TO REMEDY THE RECALL ON FEBRUARY 26TH. THEY LATER CALLED TO POSTPONE THE REPAIR DATE BECAUSE THEY HAD NOT RECEIVED THE PARTS TO MAKE THE REPAIR. THE CONTACT IS DISSATISFIED BECAUSE SHE FEELS THAT THIS IS A SAFETY ISSUE THAT COULD CAUSE A CRASH. THERE HAD BEEN NO FAILURE TO DATE. THE RECALL NUMBER WAS UNKNOWN. THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 37,000.

TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2006 CADILLAC CTS. WHILE DRIVING 20 MPH, THE VEHICLE BEGAN DRIVING ROUGHLY. WHEN THE BRAKE PEDAL WAS DEPRESSED, THE VEHICLE WOULD REV AS IF IT WERE ATTEMPTING TO ACCELERATE. ON OCTOBER 9, 2007, WHILE BACKING OUT OF A PARKING SPACE WITH HER FOOT ON THE BRAKE PEDAL, THE VEHICLE LUNGED FORWARD AND MADE A LOUD NOISE. THE VEHICLE CRASHED INTO A TREE. THE BRAKES DID NOT WORK AND THE STEERING WHEEL WOULD NOT TURN. THE AIR BAGS FAILED TO DEPLOY. THE VEHICLE SUSTAINED FRONT END DAMAGE, INCLUDING THE TWO FRONT TIRES. THE CONTACT HAS PICTURES. THE CONTACT SUSTAINED A CONCUSSION, HAS HEADACHES AND DIZZY SPELLS, 50% HEARING LOSS, AND CRACKED TWO FRONT TEETH. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED, BUT STILL RIDES ROUGHLY. NHTSA CAMPAIGN ID NUMBER 07V589000 (SUSPENSION: REAR AXLE: SPINDLE) WAS REFERENCED. THE POWERTRAIN WAS UNKNOWN. THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 5,623 AND FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 5,548.
