MY WIFE HAD AN ACCIDENT A FEW YEARS AGO AND THE AIR BAGS DID NOT DEPLOY. WE WERE TOLD THAT THE AIR BAG DID NOT DEPLOY BECAUSE IT WAS NOT A DIRECT FRONTAL COLLISION. RECENTLY WE HAD TO TAKE OUR CAR TO THE DEALERSHIP BECAUSE THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT STAYED ON. ALSO EVERY ONCE AND A WHILE THE AIR BAG LIGHT WOULD BLEAK AND GO OFF. IT ENDED UP BEING THE ELECTRONIC CONTROL MODULE $446.00 TO REPAIR. THE DEALERSHIP STATED THAT THIS NEEDED TO BE REPAIRED RIGHT A WAY BECAUSE THE AIR BAGS WOULD NOT DEPLOY. IF IT WAS NOT FOR THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT STAYING ON WE COULD HAVE HAD AN ACCIDENT NOT KNOWING THAT THERE WAS A DEFECT WITH THE RESTRAINT SYSTEM. *NM
