My father gave me his 2013 Cadillac SRX and I have noticed the headlights have dimmed significantly over the past few months. I replaced the lamps, but the same issue still exists. I spoke with my local Cadillac dealership and they told me of the known issue with the headlights. I did some research and see there was a class action lawsuit against Cadillac, but it does not seem to apply to vehicles registered in Wisconsin. I will need to correct this problem as driving at night has now become very difficult. If you have history of this issue with other drivers, any insight or direction would be much appreciated. Vehicle Headlamps fail to project adequate light to see the road. Several hundred dollars have been invested in attempting to fix this, resulting in zero noticeable help.
Left front headlight is so dim I cannot drive my car in the dark. I have spent money replacing the bulbs, cleaning the lenses through professional shop(s) and still goes dim and unsafe. After researching this I see this is a ongoing problem with this vehicle. I am now having to spend over $1,000 to replace the entire headlight assembly and I don't even know how long that will last. From research from another person it looks like the assembly where the light get hot is chrome sprayed plastic. Cheap parts causing me so much money that should be reliable in my vehicle. I see GM reimbursement owners in Fl and CA for this issue for a few years. this is terrible as I am a working adult required to commute in the dark. Iw ant to be reimbursed for this unsafe headlight assembly and know the other is failing too.
I purchased this vehicle on January 1, 2025. I drove it last night for the first time after dark. The headlights were so dim I could hardly see to drive. I had to use my brights except when a car was coming towards me, then I put them on dim and slowed way down. Leaving them on bright would have endangered other drivers and myself. I purchased the car with no warranty so now I either drive only during daylight hours or I pay out of pocket to have them fixed which I'm sure isn't cheap. I am going to go to the dealership that I purchased it from to see if they will help me at all, but since there was no warranty, I'm not expecting them to give me any assistance with this. When you look at the headlights during the daytime, which is when I bought the car there is no visible sign of an issue with them. No warning lamp has come on to let me know there is an issue and since I just purchased the car I don't know when they first appeared so dim. I noticed there are numerous complaints about this issue. Why isn't GM doing something about it.
2013 Cadillac SRX has ridiculous (pointing down) low beam headlight issues. Adaptive forward lighting makes this impossible to be driven at night on low beams, because visibility is so poor! You have to drive with high beams on. These are barely decent and are like having weak low beams. No one flashes to have me turn them off, which is telling of how lame the high beams point. Visibility at night is paramount and this issue is quite dangerous. They (GM) know that this is a problem and have been sued. It is time for you to do your job and make them do theirs for safety sake.

I cannot see when driving at night. I'm getting cars flashing me to turn my lights on but they are already on. If I drive with my high beams on I'm going to blind other drivers. I just bought the car 2 days ago and called the dealership to take it in. They said there is nothing they can do that it's a common problem. I'm not understanding why I these cars are on the road if there is nothing that can be done. It's an accident waiting to happen.
The headlights failed to provide enough light to see the road at night. This, of course, is dangerous when driving on the highway or country roads as we are unable to maintain the speed required on the highway in order to safely navigate the turns in the road, which could also cause a disruption in the traffic flow, possibly causing an accident if other cars were not expecting a slower vehicle on the road. Not to mention not being able to see any wildlife in the road in enough time to react. The problem, to my knowledge, has not been reproduced or confirmed by a dealer or independent service center prior to our purchase of the vehicle. We have discussed the issue with the dealer but the service manager is unable to comment on the matter or any type of solution. The vehicle or component has not been inspected by the manufacturer, police, insurance representatives or others. There were not any warning lamps, messages or other symptoms of the problem prior to the failure. It first appeared the first night time drive after purchasing the vehicle, used, in 2021. We had discussions with the Dealer's service department and they would not speak to any "known" issue. We performed an on-line research that showed that there was a problem with the lighting system and GM decided to not issue a recall. I believe for a short time there was compensation provided for those that complained, but that time is long gone. These cars are still on the market and without a resolution to fix this issue there can be an accident or even death in an accident.

Headlights are dim
Same issue in two class action lawsuits against GM: moisture entered the headlight casing which eroded the plating reflecting the light, resulting in dim headlights, unsafe to drive at night. We have had this issue for year, but managed to drive other cars at night. Now we need to drive this car at night for work. We have replaced the light bulbs. But the issue remains. GM said they sent letters to Cadillac SRX owners in California in 2020 as a result of the lawsuits. After I told the GM rep that I had never seen such letter, she said the best she could do was to take a note on my file. GM should recall the affected SRX’s and replace the headlights, as it is a safety issue.
Low beam headlights are so dim it is extremely dangerous to operate during dark hours. Purchased this car this date from Charlottesville Mercedes Benz. The contact stated that there was a previous recall for the headlight issue but it expired in June 2022. Although the low beam headlights are too dim, the vehicle somehow still passed state inspections.

Back in 2020 I believe there was a known headlight issue with Cadillac vehicles. Communication was sent out to owners for a headlight reimbursement program. We unfortunately didn't receive any communication regarding this. Back in March 2022 my husband had a work trip which required him to travel hours away and during the evening. This is what prompted me to call the Cadillac Customer Service number regarding the headlights, and the headlight program once I discovered it searching the internet. Spoke to someone and a ticket was issued. Missed a call, called back and was told I could only speak that same person. So I called again, received a couple of emails, and was eventually ghosted. A week or so ago I seen on the evening news that once again Cadillac had a re-call of sorts with their headlights. This was so frustrating, Once again my husband had to travel for work and the same issue arises and his safety was in jeopardy. So this past Monday called again and spoke to someone regarding his dim headlights. Received a call back today and was told the GMC dealership (the dealership we get all work done) isn't an "official" Cadillac dealership and there's isn't anything they could do. We could go to a Cadillac dealership, but there's no guarantee they would fix the issue. The dealership that we bring our vehicle to (GMC) had told my husband a few times now that it would be cheaper to purchase the new headlights online, because they would cost him over $1000 each through the dealership. This information was also relayed to the customer service rep with Cadillac customer services. The Cadillac customer service rep then turned around and offered us a $100 gift card to use towards our future dealership services. I think this is absurd given the fact this is a known issue and had been made public twice that I know of. I would like them to honor the $1600 headlight reimbersburtment that they originally offered and we never received or was notified of.

Low beam headlights are very dim . Changed bulbs with no improvement. This is dangerous to occupants in my vehicle and oncoming traffic because we have to use high beams all the time at night.this was seen by dealer and I was told there was no problem.

I just bought the vehicle. Headlights low beam are extremely dim. New bulbs installed and headlight brightness dim output remained the same. Research shows that several SRX owners are having same issue. Recall needs to be issued.
Passenger side low-beam headlight is very dim. Replaced bulb and headlight is still very dim. Reflectivity seem to be almost nil inside the headlamp assembly.

Headlight low-beam bulbs are too dim for safe night time driving. I have had numerous safety incidents arise during night time driving, do to the dim factory installed low-beam bulbs on the automobile. GM should assume responsibility for the in-effective low-beam bulbs used for the CADILLAC SRX 2013 and initiate a SAFETY RECALL concerning the low-beam bulbs installed in all model CADILLAC affected.

Exterior headlights are almost non existent. The vehicle can not be driven safely at night. I must use high beams to safely drive at night.
The headlights are damaged from normal use. the lights leak water which shorts out the light ballast , the repair requires removal of the front facia of the car which is a $400 repair. the interior lens of the light is heat damaged which dims the headlight. Gm wants 1300 for each headlight plus labor. Apparently the enginers at cadillac did not know how to build a headlight, so them made temporary headlights from the factory. still waiting for permant headlights. Bill
No accident for crash of involved in this report. I'm reporting not able to drive at night just use high beams at all times safety visibility issues with low beams are terrible use my high beams non-existence low beam headlights so many people have to get hurt or killed before GM does something about this and not a recall for the factory lamp assemblies they have on the shelves or say they don't and when they are available that's what you'll get should be independently tested with inspections yearly automotive manu manufacturers should be completely liable for a simple headlights that's part of the vehicle and major safety concerns for all drivers passengers and the other vehicles on the road I mean wake up should be government regulated and tested yearly with inspections they don't pass manufacturers completely liable for replacement monies and all of it labor for the bad design and engineeringof llow grade parts
The low beam headlights are so dim it is almost impossible to drive at night. While turning into my driveway at night, my neighbor who was walking her dog stepped into my driveway to get out of the way of oncoming traffic not realizing who was driving down street, I did not see her until the last second. I have spoken with dealer twice and they told me to call GM Divisional Headquarters which I called. I was told to have vehicle inspected by dealer; inspection fee is $135. If headlights are found defective dealer would replace for approx. $1800. I could then submit paperwork to GM Headquarters, and they would consider a reimbursement.

Low beam headlight are so dim, that it creates a safety hazard driving at night. The reflector material on the inside of the light bulb housing assembly has deteriorated to the point that the light bulbs light cannot project out the front of the light assembly. This makes driving at night very dangerous. We have not experienced an incident or accident concerning this problem, but I will not have anyone in my family drive this vehicle at night. This is a safety hazard that GM is not addressing.

The front headlights are extremely deem. Found moisture inside the light assembly, having no damage to cause such moisture buildup. The front headlights both low beam and high beam failed at night on 16th September 2021 due to but not limited to moisture and then i discovered this was a known defect, but I did not learn officially of this until the 17th Sept 2021.

CADILLAC KNOWS OF THIS DEFECT AND EVEN SETTLED A LAWSUIT TO REPLACE THEM BUT THEY DO NOT COVER THE ENTIRE COST AND REPLACES THEM WITH INDENTICAL UNITS. THIS VEHICLE IS A EXTREME HIGH RISK WHEN DRIVING AT NIGHT TO THE PUBLIC. THIS CAR COULD NOT PASS STATE OR FEDERAL HIGHWAY LAWS FOR WORKING HEADLAMPS. IF A RECALL WAS EVER NEEDED THIS IS IT. CADILLAC WILL NOT FAIRLY DEAL WITH THIS ISSUE WITH ITS CUSTOMERS. A RECALL IS NEEDED BEFORE SOMEONE DIES.
THE SEAL AROUND HEADLIGHTS HAS DETERIORATED AND WATER IS VISIBLE INSIDE THE HEADLIGHTS AND THE LIGHTS ARE SO DIM VEHICLE CAN'T BE DRIVEN AT NIGHT.

THE HEADLIGHTS ARE DEFECTIVE ON THOUSANDS OF CADILLAC SRX MODELS, 2010-2015. THE LIGHT BULBS ARE FINE BUT THE REFLECTIVE CHROME INSIDE THE LIGHT PEELS AWAY AND THE LIGHTS DO PRODUCE ENOUGH LIGHT TO SEE AT NIGHT. THIS IS CERTAINLY A SAFETY ISSUE AND HOPE YOU INVESTIGATE.

MY CAR IS UNSAFE TO DRIVE UNLESS I USE HIGH BEAMS AT ALL TIMES. THIS IS NOT A SIMPLE CHANGE THE BULB FIX. THIS IS A VERY WELL KNOWN ISSUE WITH 2010-2015 CADILLAC SRX MODELS THAT THE HEADLIGHTS ARE SO DIM AT NIGHT THAT THE CAR CAN NOT BE DRIVEN SAFELY. GM, INSTEAD OF DOING A NATIONAL RECALL HAS INSTEAD SETTLED ON A CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT WHERE THE OWNER HAS TO BRING THE CAR IN AND PAY OUT OF POCKET ROUGHLY 1500 DOLLARS FOR REPLACEMENT PARTS AND THEN THEY WILL REIMBURSE THE COST. I DO NOT HAVE THE EXTRA MONEY TO REPLACE THEIR DEFECTIVE HEADLIGHTS. GM NEEDS TO STEP UP AND ISSUE A RECALL AS THIS IS AN EXTREMELY DANGEROUS SITUATION.

THE HEADLAMPS ARE DEFECTIVE AND DO NOT PROVIDE ADEQUATE LIGHTING AT NIGHT. I REPLACED THE BULBS ON 1/3/2020. THE ISSUE IS NOT THE BULBS IT'S THE LAMPS. I WOULD LIKE TO HAVE THE LAMPS REPLACED BY CADILLAC.
I BOUGHT MY CADDY IN 2015 (AFTER DEFECT WAS MADE KNOWN TO REPAIR SHOPS) AT CARMAX. REPLACED LIGHT BULB 1/2020. THE PROBLEM IS THE HEADLIGHT HOUSING LETS WATER IN DIMMING BULB UNTIL NIGHT DRIVING IS IMPOSSIBLE! I RECIEVED THE NOTICE FROM GM ABOUT HEADLIGHT DEFECT LATE MARCH 2020. THE PANDEMIC HIT AND I DIDNT HAVE THE $ OR WILLINGNESS TO EXPOSE MYSEF TO COVID. GM GAVE OWNERS UNTIL JUNE 2020 TO MAKE THE REPAIR OUT OF POCKET AND FILE FOR REIMBURSE MENT. 6 MONTHS LATER CUSTOMERS ARE STILL WAITING ON CHECKS FOR REIMBUIRSEMENT. GM REFUSES TO REOPEN THE MATTER AND FEELS THEY HAVE DONE ENOUGH TO MAKE THIS RIGHT FOR CUSTOMERS. THIS WILL EVENTUALLY CAUSE A WRECK AND POSSIBLE DEATH.

GM HAS ACKOWLEDGED THE PROBLEM AND SETTLED WITH OWNERS IN CALIFORNIA AND FLORIDA BUT REFUSE TO REPAIR ANY OTHER VEHICLE OUTSIDE THOSE STATES. THE HEADLIGHT SELAS ARE DEFECTIVE ALLOWING MOISTURE TO ENTER THE HEADLIGHT ASSEMBLY CORRDING CONTACTS AFFECTING THE BULBS. IT BECAME OBVIOUS FROM COMMENTS BY OTHER CADILLAC SRX OWNERS, THAT THIS IS INDEED A PROBLEM. WE ARE NOW FORCED TO DRIVE WITH OUR HIGH BEAMS ON AT NIGHT AND ARE CONSTANTLY HAVING TO DIM THEM FOR ONCOMING TRAFFIC. I PURCHASED THE VEHICLE IN MARCH 2014 (USED) FROM THE DEALER WITH THE EXTENDED WARRANTY. SINCE I HAVE OWNED THE VEHICLE, I HAVE ALWAYS HAD IT SERVICED AT THE DEALER. AS PART OF THE SERVICE MOST OF THE TIMES A GM MULTI POINT VEHICLE INSPECTION (GM MPVI)WAS DONE ON THE VEHICLE WITH THE LATEST ONE DONE ON JANUARY 14,2019. LOOKING BACK AT THE INSPECTION REPORTS NEVER HAS THERE BEEN ANY INDICATION OF THE AN ISSUE WITH THE LIGHTING. ALSO I HAVE NEVER SEEN OR BEEN ADVISED OF A PROBLEM WITH THE HEAD LIGHTS BY THE DEALER OR GM. THE DEALER TOLD ME THAT THERE IS A LAW SUIT IN CALIFORNIA RELATIVE TO THIS ISSUE HOWEVER A CLASS ACTION SUIT WAS DISMISSED. I AM FORCED TO USE HIGH BEAMS DURING RAIN AND IN LOW LIGHT CONDITIONS SINCE YOU CANNOT SEE THE ROAD AND DRIVING IS VERY DANGEROUS. CADILLAC DEALER SAID THAT BOTH HEADLIGHT ASSEMBLIES NEED TO BE REPLACED AT A COST OF $1500.

BY FEBRUARY 2017 WE NOTICED THE HEADLIGHTS WERE DIM AND MALFUNCTION, LEAVING US IN FEAR THEY WILL FAIL WHILE DRIVING AT NIGHT, WHICH CAUSED THE SUV TO STAY PARKED AT NIGHT UNLESS ABSOLUTELY NEEDED. ONE NIGHT , COMING BACK FROM AIRPORT WE PULLED OFF THE ROAD AND SAW THE LOW-BEAM HEADLIGHTS HAD COMPLETELY FAILED, WE HAD TO DRIVE HOME WITH THE LAMPS IN "BRIGHT" MODE.THE OUTSIDE INSPECTION INDICATED -EXTERIOR HEADLIGHT HOUSING UNITS WEAR OUT AND DETERIORATED, CAUSES HEADLIGHT PROBLEMS THAT INCLUDE FAILURE OF THE BULBS DUE TO CORROSION OF THE COMPONENTS SUCH AS THE IGNITERS, IN ADDITION TO ELECTRICAL SHORTS THAT OCCUR DIM LIGHT. IT IS VERY DANGEROUS TO DRIVE AT NIGHT WITHOUT HAVING MY BRIGHT LIGHTS ON.
THE NORMAL HEADLIGHTS (NOT THE HIGH BEAMS) ARE SO, SO, SO DIM EVEN WITH BRAND NEW BULBS, THE CAR IS INCREDIBLY DANGEROUS TO DRIVE AT NIGHT. ALMOST CAUSED 2 ACCIDENTS. THIS IS A KNOWN PROBLEM OF THE HEADLIGHT ASSEMBLY HOUSING WHICH DETERIORATES ON THE INSIDE (PRESUMABLY CAUSED BY THE MOISTURE GETTING IN AND RUINING THE INSIDE OF THE HOUSING SO THAT VERY LITTLE LIGHT FROM THE BULBS CAN MAKE IT OUT). DO A GOOGLE SEARCH. THERE ARE HUNDREDS OF CUSTOMERS EXPERIENCING THIS SAME EXACT ISSUE. SPOKE TO CADILLAC AND THEY SAID THEY ARE ONLY FIXING IT FOR PEOPLE IN CA AND FL (THEY WERE SUED FOR THIS ISSUE IN BOTH THOSE STATES) BUT REFUSE TO HELP ANYONE FROM ANY OTHER STATE. SOMEONE IS GOING TO DIE IN AN ACCIDENT. THIS IS EXTREMELY, EXTREMELY DANGEROUS SITUATION. ON MONDAY, MARCH 11, 2019 DAVID SAID HE WOULD EMAIL US A COPY OF THE LETTER WHICH HAS THE INFORMATION ABOUT THE PAY UPFRONT SIXTEEN HUNDRED DOLLARS ($1,600) FOR OUR RECORDS BECAUSE WE NEVER RECEIVED THAT LETTER OR ANY INFORMATION ABOUT THE FAULTY HEADLIGHTS. AT THIS TIME WE HAVE NOT BEEN GIVEN ANY INDICATION THE PROBLEM WILL BE FIXED!

THE LOW BEAM HEADLIGHTS ARE EXTREMELY DIM AND MAKE NIGHT DRIVING DIFFICULT IF NOT IMPOSSIBLE DUE TO SAFETY. THIS APPEARS TO BE A KNOWN DEFECT IN THIS MODEL VEHICLE BUT CADILLAC WILL NOT ACKNOWLEDGE. THE HALOGEN BULBS HAVE BEEN REPLACED THREE TIMES BUT IT DOES NOT HELP REMEDY THE PROBLEM. THE MECHANIC STATED THAT THE ISSUE IS WITH THE DESIGN OF THE REFLECTOR IN THE LIGHTING ASSEMBLY AND THAT THE WHOLE HEADLIGHT ASSEMBLY HAS TO BE REPLACED TO RECTIFY THE PROBLEM. THIS IS A VERY EXPENSIVE SOLUTION FOR THE CONSUMER AND ONE WHICH IS BECAUSE OF AN APPARENT DESIGN FLAW ACCORDING TO THE CADILLAC MECHANIC.
BOTH OF MY HEADLIGHTS ARE FAULTY / ARE WEARING PREMATURELY. MY HEADLIGHTS HAVE AN EXTREMELY LACK OF ADEQUATE ILLUMINATION MAKING IT EXTREMELY DIFFICULT TO SEE THE ROAD AT NIGHT. THE HEADLIGHT DEFECT IS A POOR SEAL THAT ALLOWS MOISTURE TO ENTER THE HEADLIGHT. THE MOISTURE IS CAUSING CORROSION AND SHORT-CIRCUITING CAUSING BOTH OF MY HEADLIGHTS TO SIGNIFICANTLY REDUCE THE HEADLIGHT'S OUTPUT. MY HUSBAND HAS CONTACTED THE CADILLAC DEALERSHIP ON LIME STREET IN METAIRIE, LA TO REPORT THE PROBLEM AND THEY SAID THEY KNOW OF THE PROBLEM. THEY SAID THEY CANNOT DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT BUT REPLACE THEM FOR ABOUT A $1,300 FEE. THEY ARE AWARE THAT THE HEADLIGHTS ARE AN ISSUE BUT HAVE NOT PUT A RECALL ON THE ISSUE. THEY TOLD WE HAD TO TAKE THE COMPLAINT UP WITH THE EXTENDED WARRANTY COMPANY THEN THEY DOUBT THE WARRANTY I PURCHASE WITH CADILLAC FOR $5,000 WILL NOT COVER IT. CADILLAC DID NOT TELL ME BEFORE OR AFTER I PURCHASED THIS $37,000 VEHICLE THAT THEY KNOW ABOUT THEIR LOW GRADE FAULTY HEADLIGHTS AND THAT THEY PLAN TO DO NOTHING ABOUT THE ISSUE WHEN IT HAPPENS.

COMPLAINT INVOLVING DIM HEADLIGHTS - POOR LIGHTING. MY 2013 CADILLAC HEADLIGHTS ARE DIM WITH VERY LOW VISIBILITY AND DANGEROUS TO DRIVE AT NIGHT. AFTER RESEARCHING FURTHER, OTHER OWNERS OF THIS SAME VEHICLE HAVE COMPLAINED OF THE SAME ISSUE AND CONFESSED THAT REPAIR IS ONLY A TEMPORARY FIX - THERE IS A MANUFACTURER DEFECT OF THE SEAL AROUND THE LIGHT FIXTURE WHICH ALLOWS CONDENSATION INSIDE THE BULB. WE CALLED GM AND THEY BOLDLY TOLD US NO WARRANTY, NO REPAIR. WHAT ABOUT SAFETY??!!!! WE WERE UNDER BUMPER TO BUMPER WARRANTY FOR 50,000 MILES. WE WERE TOLD THAT'S JUST THE WAY THEY ARE. WE TOOK IT IN TO OTHER DEALERSHIPS AS WE TRAVELED AND WERE TOLD THE SAME THING. AFTER 9 DIFFERENT TIMES OVER 2 1/2 YEARS, WE FINALLY INSISTED THEY BE CHECKED, AFTER OUR WARRANTY HAD RECENTLY EXPIRED. THEN THEY CONFIRMED THERE WAS AN INTERNAL FAULT WITH THE LAMPS AND THEY NEED TO BE REPLACED, AT A COST OF $1,100. WE CONTACTED GM WITH OUR COMPLAINT. THE BEST THEY WILL DO IS INSTALL THEM FOR FREE, BUT WE HAVE TO PAY OVER $800 FOR NEW LAMPS. WE HAVE SINCE LEARNED THERE IS A CLASS ACTION SUIT STARTING BECAUSE THIS IS A HUGE PROBLEM FOR MANY. WE LITERALLY CANNOT SEE AT NIGHT OR BEFORE DAYLIGHT WITHOUT USING OUR HIGH BEAMS. WE NOW WILL REPLACE THEM OURSELVES WITH AFTER MARKET PARTS BUT THAT'S NOT A GUARANTEE THAT WILL FIX THE PROBLEM. WE SAW A NUMBER OF COMPLAINTS ON YOUR WEBSITE. WHAT MAKES US ANGRY IS THAT WE WERE LITERALLY BLOWN OFF WITH OUR COMPLAINT 9 TIMES AT VARIOUS DEALERSHIPS (ATTACHMENT HAS ALL THESE DOCUMENTED) BEFORE A DEALERSHIP SAID THEY HAD JUST DIAGNOSED THIS PROBLEM WITH ANOTHER CUSTOMER AFTER SHE INSISTED THE SERVICE ADVISOR DRIVE IT HOME ONE NIGHT. IT IS A SAFETY HAZARD AND A DEFECT. WE ASSURE YOU, CADILLAC IS AWARE OF IT. THERE ARE A LOT OF US DRIVING UNSAFELY. WE TRY TO AVOID DRIVING AT NIGHT OR DUSK BUT THAT'S NOT ALWAYS POSSIBLE.
THE HEADLIGHTS HAVE BEEN DIM FROM THE TIME WE BOUGHT THE CAR, BUT HAVE BECOME DIMMER OVER THE PAST MONTHS. IT IS HARD TO SEE AT NIGHT ON A WELL LIT STREET AND JUST ABOUT IMPOSSIBLE ON A DARK NEIGHBORHOOD STREET. I AM AFRAID THAT THIS WILL LEAD TO AN ACCIDENT AND INJURY. THE PROBLEM IS GETTING WORSE. I FEEL THE NEED TO DRIVE WITH THE BRIGHTS ON ALL THE TIME NOW.

NHSTA 14132 GM 14132. DOES NOT DO THIS ALL THE TIME BUT FREQUENTLY LIKE THIS AM WHEN I WAS DRIVING IT, HAS DONE THIS ALSO SINCE I BOUGHT CAR A YEAR AGO.

THE HEADLIGHTS ON THIS VEHICLE ARE DANGEROUSLY DIM. I HAVE SPOKEN TO NUMEROUS OWNERS WHO SUGGESTED THE SAME ISSUE. THE DEALERSHIPS WANT TO CHARGE OVER $2000.00 TO CORRECT THIS AND IT IS NOT CLEAR THAT REPLACING THESE LIGHTS WITH THE SAME LIGHTS WILL REPAIR THE ISSUE. THIS NEEDS GOVERNMENT ACTION OR PEOPLE WILL GET HURT.

THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 40,000. THE VIN WAS NOT PROVIDED.
