THE HEADLIGHTS ON MY 2014 CHEVROLET SILVERADO HAVE A LOT OF CONDENSATION ON THE INSIDE OF THE LIGHTS THAT IS CAUSING THE HEADLIGHT BULBS TO BLOW. THE EXTERIOR OF THE LIGHTS ARE MADE OF PLASTIC WHICH I CONSIDER INFERIOR. I CONTACTED GM @ THIS AND THEY OFFERED TO PAY @ 1/10TH OF THE REPAIR COST. THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE. THIS IS A MAJOR SAFETY FLAW THAT THEY NEED TO REPAIR FREE OF COST TO THE CONSUMER. THERE ARE MULTIPLE CASES ON YOU TUBE WITH OTHERS WITH THE SAME PROBLEM. MY VEHICLE IS ALWAYS GARAGED AND ONLY HAS @ 25000 MILES. PLEASE INVESTIGATE THIS AS IT COULD AND PROBABLY HAS CAUSED ACCIDENTS WITH THE HEADLAMPS GOING OUT WHILE DRIVING AT NIGHT BY NOT BEING ABLE TO SEE. THIS IS SERIOUS.

BRAKE FAILURE ON JUNE 21 2017, CAUSED ACCIDENT SAME ACCIDENT ON NOVEMBER 17 2017 AND AGAIN ON SEPTEMBER 1 2019. I HAVE HAD THE TRUCK IN SHOP TO BE FIXED NUMEROUS TIMES... ABS SENSOR IN FRONT RIGHT WHEEL WAS SUPPOSEDLY BAD. IT DID NOT FIX PROBLEM BC 3 RD ACCIDENT HAPPENED WEEKS AFTER. 9/11/19 GM RELEASED RECALL FOR BREAK FAILURE DUE TO THE VACUUM BOOSTER. MY ISSUE IS EXACTLY WHAT GM HAD JUST ANNOUNCED. CHEVY DEALER AND GM CORPORATE BOTH SAID THERE WAS NOTHING WRONG WITH BRAKES BUT THEY STILL GIVE OUT SLOWING DOWN INTERMITTENTLY. THE BACKUP CAMERA STARTED ACTING UP WHEN I HAD APPROX. 30 MILES ON THE VEHICLE. WHEN I BACKED INTO MY DRIVEWAY AFTER LEAVING THE DEALER, A PICTURE OF THE DEALERS LOT CAME ON THE SCREEN. I PUT IT IN PARK THEN REVERSE AGAIN THE SAME PICTURE OF THE DEALERS LOT CAME UP AGAIN. THIS HAPPENED 2 MORE TIMES. THEN THE CAMERA SWITCHED TO THE CORRECT PICTURE OF MY DRIVEWAY. THE PICTURE WAS NOW DISTORTED. ALMOST LIKE THERE WAS WATER IN THE LENS. I HAVE BEEN BACK TO THE DEALER 3 TIMES FOR THE PROBLEM. THEY REPLACED THE CAMERA TWICE. THEY TOOK A PICTURE OF THE PROBLEM AND SENT IT TO CHEVY. THE MECHANIC EVEN TOLD ME HE CHECKED OTHER SIMILAR VEHICLES ON THE LOT AND THERE WAS A PROBLEM WITH MINE. I WAS THEN NOTIFIED THERE WAS NOTHING THEY COULD DO ABOUT IT, THAT'S JUST THE WAS IT IS. THE CAMERA WAS NOT DISTORTED WHEN I FIRST PICKED UP. IT'S DANGEROUS ALMOST 1/3 OF THE CAMERA IS DISTORTED

WAS DRIVING NORTH ON I-77 AT 65 MPH. AT ABOUT EXIT 33, MY BRAKES FAILED WITH COMPLETE LOSS OF BRAKING POWER AND SEVERAL WARNING LIGHTS ILLUMINATED (STABILITY TRACK AND OTHER WARNING LIGHTS I DON'T REMEMBER). ONCE I WAS SAFELY OFF OF THE ROAD (USING GEARS TO REDUCE SPEED) AND SHUT OFF CAR AND TURNED ON CAR THE BRAKES WERE WORKING AGAIN. THIS IS THE ONLY TIME THIS HAS HAPPENED WITH MY CAR. MY CAR WAS RECENTLY SERVICES AND BRAKE FLUID LEVELS WERE NORMAL. I DRIVE A 2008 CHEVY TAHOE HYBRID AND THIS TYPE OF ISSUE HAS BEEN REPORTED ON FORUMS RELATED TO THIS MAKE/MODEL OF CAR. MY CAR LOOSES POWER AT RANDOM TIMES AND A LIGHT COMES ON SAYING ENGINE LOSING POWER. AT THAT POINT I NEED TO PULL OVER OFF HIGHWAY BECAUSE THERE IS NO POWER. I HAVE TO GET OFF ROAD AND STOP CAR AND THEN TURN OFF KEY AND RESTART CAR THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT STAYS ON AND I HAVE BROUGHT IT TO DEALER. SEVEN TIMES THE CAR HAS GONE IN AND A REPAIR IS MADE BUT THEN IT HAPPENS AGAIN. I AM AFRAID TO DRIVE THE CAR LONG DISTANCE OR DRIVE CARE WITH MY CHILDREN IN THE CAR.

RECENTLY ON MY 2001 CHEVY TAHOE THE LIFTGATE GLASS HINGE SEPARATED FROM THE MOLDING (APPEARED TO BE GLUED) CAUSING THE LIFTGATE WINDOW GLASS TO BECOME UNSAFE SINCE IT IS NOW HELD ONTO THE CAR BY ONLY ONE RUBBER HINGE BRACKET AND DEFOG WIRE. THE GLASS IN THE LIFTGATE WILL NOT CLOSE AND COULD EASILY BECOME SEPARATED FROM THE CAR WHILE IN MOTION MAKING THE CAR IN OPERABLE. THE CHEVY DEALER HAD SEEN THE PROBLEM BEFORE BUT SINCE THERE IS NO RECALL ON IT MY ONLY RECOURSE WAS TO PURCHASE A NEW REAR LIFTGATE WINDOW AT A COST OF NEARLY $1200. THE BRAKES AND SPECIFICALLY THE LOCKING HUB CONVERSION KITS SOLD BY THE RAM MAN INC ARE UNSAFE AND ARE FAILING UNDER NORMAL CONDITION. JUNE 6, 2016 I DIDN'T TEST OUT THE HUBS BEFORE INSTALLING THEM. INSTALLED THE KIT 1 WEEK AGO (MAY 31, 2016) I NEVER PUT THE TRUCK INTO 4WD TO SEE IF THEY LOCKED IN BUT COULD MANUALLY SEE THAT THE WHEELS DIDN'T SPIN THE CV AXIL WHEN UNLOCKED. WHILE DRIVING, I WAS CAUGHT IN SOME SAND AND SOUGHT TO PUT THE TRUCK BACK INTO 4WD. HOWEVER, AFTER LOCKING THE HUBS I DISCOVERED THAT EVEN WHEN LOCKED THE WHEELS WOULD NOT SPIN. UPON FURTHER INSPECTION WHILE LOCKED, THE DRIVE SHAFT WOULD SPIN BUT IT WOULDN'T SPIN THE CV AXIL CONNECTED TO THE WHEELS. I BELIEVE THAT THERE WAS A WEAK SPOT WHERE THE HUBS WERE MACHINED CAUSING THE SUPPLIED AXIL TO BREAK OFF. WHILE THE PROBLEM NEVER OCCURED WHILE DRIVING, AND THERE WAS NO SOUND TO INDICATE THAT THE PRODUCT BROKE WHILE THE HUBS WERE LOCKED, THE PRODUCT FAILED AND IS NO LONGER USEABLE. WHAT WOULD YOU LIKE DONE? I WOULD LIKE A FULL REFUND OR WORKING PRODUCT AS I BELIEVES THAT I WAS SHIPPED A BAD CV AXIL FROM THE START. ESSENTIALLY, THE PRODUCT WAS MACHINED INCORRECTLY CAUSING IT TO FAIL WHEN NEEDED. DESPITE PUTTING THE HUBS IN 4WD DRIVE, THE HUBS DO NOT LOCK AND LEAVE THE VEHICLE IN 2WD.

I HAD A SERVICE AIR BAG WARNING LIGHT T ON IN MY 2007 CHEVROLET SILVERADO PICK UP TRUCK. I WENT TO A DEALER TO HAVE IT SERVICED.AND WAS TOLD THAT THE RIGHT FRONT IMPACT SENSOR WAS CORRODED AND HAD TO BE REPLACED. I FELT THAT THIS BEING A SAFETY ISSUE THAT GENERAL MOTORS SHOULD COVER THE COST OF REPAIR. I CALLED G.M. AND WAS TOLD THAT THIS WAS AN ENVIRONMENTAL ISSUE AND THE SALT AIR IN MY AREA CAUSED THE CORROSION AND G.M WAS NOT RESPONSIBLE. I TOLD THE PERSON THAT I WAS TALKING TO THAT APPARENTLY G.M. M,UST BE AWARE OF THE PROBLEM IF THEY KNOW THAT THE SALT AIR CORRODES THE SENSORS. FURTHERMORE I MENTIONED THE FACT THAT SINCE THERE IS A PROBLEM THAT THE AIR BAG COULD POSSIBLE INFLATE WHILE DRIVING AND POSSIBLY CAUSE THE DRIVER TO SWERVE OFF THE ROAD OR INTO ANOTHER VEHICLE THUS CAUSING DEATH OR SERIOUS INJURY. I THEN STATED TO HIM THAT I WAS AWARE THAT CHRYSLER RECENTLY HAD A RECALL OF VEHICLES TO BE REPAIRED BECAUSE THE AIRBAG SENSORS WERE CORRODING. I WAS TOLD THAT G.M. HAD NO SUCH RECALL. MY ARGUMENT IS THAT THIS IS A SAFETY ISSUE. THE CORRODED SENSORS COULD MALFUNCTION AND CAUSE THE AIR BAGS TO DEPLOY THUS CAUSING THE DRIVER TO SWERVE AND POTENTIALLY GET INTO A SERIOUS ACCIDENT. NOW WITH 50,300 MILES, THE TRUCK IS SITTING IN MY DRIVE WAY NEEDING ANOTHER ALTERNATOR AND THE REAR BRAKES / ROTORS ARE WORN OUT AGAIN. SINCE I PURCHASED THIS TRUCK I HAVE ALREADY SPENT APPROXIMATELY $2800 ON BRAKES, BRAKE LINES, WHEEL / SPEED SENSORS AND NEW ROTORS AND REPLACED THE ALTERNATOR AND POWER DOOR MOTOR. THE TRUCK HAS STRANDED ME TWO TIMES WHEN THE BRAKES FAILED AND ONCE WHEN THE ALTERNATOR WENT OUT. IT APPEARS THAT THE DEALERSHIPS AND GM KNOW ABOUT THESE PROBLEMS BUT JUST TRY TO GET THEM PAST THE WARRANTY PERIOD. WHEN I HAD TO REPLACE THE FRONT ROTORS I OFFERED TO HAVE THE METAL / ROTORS ANALYZED TO DETERMINE WHY THEY FAILED BUT GM WASN'T INTERESTED. THEY PAID HALF ON THAT REPAIR AND REQUESTED THAT I LEAVE THE ROTORS WITH THE DEALERSHIP. I WAS LUCKY BOTH TIMES WHEN THE BRAKES FAILED BECAUSE WE WERE GOING SLOW AND ON RURAL ROADS WITH MINIMAL TRAFFIC, THE OTHER TIME THE TRUCK STRANDED US WE CAMPING ON A HOLIDAY WEEKEND AND THE ALTERNATOR WENT OUT WHEN WE WERE ABOUT 10 MILES FROM THE CAMP. THESE TRUCKS ENTIRE BRAKE SYSTEMS ARE VERY DANGEROUS. I THINK THAT THERE NEEDS TO BE A TECHNICAL REVIEW CONDUCTED TO EVALUATE THE MATERIALS USED FOR THE ROTORS AND THE BRAKE LINES. WHEN MY BRAKE LINES WERE REPLACED THEY CRUMBLED LIKE FLAKES OF RUST AND THE ROTORS BOTH FRONT AND BACK WERE DAMAGED FROM WHAT APPEARED TO BE OVERHEATING. I BOUGHT MY 2005 TRAILBLAZER IN AUGUST 2008. IN OCTOBER 2008, THE REAR WINDOW HINGE ADHESIVE WAS SEPARATING CAUSING THE HATCH TO NOT CLOSE PROPERLY. THIS WAS REPLACED BY THE DEALERSHIP. NOW IN SEPTEMBER 2010 THE SAME THING IS HAPPENING. THE REAR WINDOW ADHESIVE HAS COMPLETELY DISCONNECTED FROM THE HINGE AND THE WINDOW DOES NOT CLOSE PROPERLY AND HAS A POSSIBILITY OF COMPLETELY FALLING OFF. WHEN THE ENTIRE REAR DOOR IS OPENED NOW THE HINGE 'POPS' UP AND HITS THE GLASS. THE DEALERSHIP IS TRYING TO FIND AN APPROPRIATE ADHESIVE TO MEND THIS PROBLEM AND THEY SAY CHEVY WILL NOT PAY FOR ANOTHER GLASS REPLACEMENT. THE FIRST REPLACEMENT CAME FROM THE FACTORY WITH THE HINGE CONNECTED TO THE GLASS. THIS SEEMS LIKE A FACTORY DEFECT. I KNOW THERE ARE OTHER CHEVY VEHICLES OF DIFFERENT YEARS THAT HAVE EXPERIENCED THIS PROBLEM AND WORSE WHEN THE DOORS DID FALL OFF OR THE GLASS SCATTERED DUE TO THE POOR ADHESIVE ON THE HINGE. CHASSIS ENGINE FAILED ON SINGLE LANE HIGHWAY HILL CLIMB. SEEMED LIKE ENGINE CUT OFF ALLOWING DRIVER TO QUICKLY TURN INTO" HOLE IN THE WALL "QUICK STOP STORE PARKING AREA. THE PARK BRAKE ASSEMBLY AND BOTH PRESSURE SWITCHES WERE REPLACED. UPDATED IVOQ 12/19/12 THE CONSUMER STATED WHILE FILLING RE-FUELING THE MOTOR HOME, A PASSERBY INFORMED HIM GASOLINE WAS DRAINING FROM THE MOTOR HOME. HE QUICKLY REMOVED THE HOSE AND SAW A LARGE PUDDLE OF FUEL UNDER THE GAS TANK. THE CONSUMER WAS NOT SURE, WHERE IT WAS COMING FROM, BUT IT DID APPEAR TO FLOW FROM A CONNECTING PIPE AT THE VERY REAR OF THE MOTOR HOME FILLING SECTION AND ABOUT 4 INCHES AT THE TANK INTERFACE. 2004 CHEVY MALIBU WAS TAKEN IN DUE TO POWER STEERING COLUMN AND SERVICE CAR LIGHT COMING ON AND CLUNKING COMING FROM CAR. FAILURE HAS OCCURRED TWICE ON MY 2004 AVALANCHE SURROUNDING THE INEFFICIENCIES WITHIN MY DASH BOARD. THE SPEEDOMETER WAS READING INCORRECTLY. IT WAS VERY DANGEROUS AS THE ACCURATE SPEED WAS NOT REPORTING. I WAS ABLE TO GET THIS REPLACED AT ABOUT 40,000 MILES. RECENTLY, THE GAS GAUGE IS NOT WORKING CORRECTLY. AFTER FILLING UP THE TANK AND TAKING A ROAD TRIP THE GAS GAUGE IMMEDIATELY REPORTED AN EMPTY GAS READING. THE GAS GAUGE CONTINUES TO READ INCORRECTLY AND FLUCTUATES. I HAVE CONTACTED THE COMPANY TO FIND OUT THAT THERE IS A SERVICE WARRANTY ON THE VEHICLE UP TO ABOUT 70,000 MILES. CURRENTLY MY TRUCK IS AT 86000 MILES ALL DUE TO HIGHWAY TRAFFIC TO WORK (30 MILES EACH WAY). I DO NOT FEEL THAT I SHOULD EXPENSE THIS COST SINCE THIS IS CLEARLY A FACTORY ISSUE. HAD TWO CHEVY SILVERADOS THAT DEVELOP INTAKE AND WATER PUMP GASKET FAILURE ON A 4.3 LITER ENGINE. BOTH DEVELOP COOLANT LEAK THROUGH THE GASKET. THE LATEST WAS IN NOVEMBER ON MY 2004 CHEVY SILVERADO. UPON CHECKING THE OWNERS MANUAL IN REGARDS TO THE DEXCOOL COOLANT IT CLEARLY STATES THAT THIS COOLANT WILL BURN IF SPILL ON A HOT ENGINE. IT THAT THE CASE THEN WHY CAN IT BURN IT THE INTAKE GASKET FAIL AND COOLANT IS LEAKING IN THE ENGINE. I HAD A 2000 CHEVY SILVERADO WITH INTAKE GASKET FAILURE AND ALSO A 2004 CHEVY WITH GASKET FAILURE. BOTH VEHICLES I HAD REPAIRED MY CONCERN IT THE GASKET FAILURE ON THESE GM PRODUCTS VEHICLE THAT NO ONE AT CHEVROLET SEEMS TO CARE. WHEN I TOUCH THE BUTTONS ON MY RADIO THEY GET VERY VERY HOT. THEIR IS A LONG LIST OF THINGS WRONG WITH THIS 2002 CHEVY TRAIL BLAZER. THE TAPE PLAYER STARTS ON ITS OWN, AND WILL BLOW A FUSE CAUSING AN ELECTRICAL SMELL. THE DAY I BOUGHT THE 2002 CHEVY TRAIL BLAZER THE HEAD GASKET BLEW AND THE DEALERSHIP REPLACED IT WITH A USED HEAD GASKET. THIS SUV HAS ALOT OF ISSUES AND IS GETTING UNSAFE TO DRIVE. THERE ARE SEVERAL DIFFERENT ISSUES WITH THIS TRUCK: 1. THE WHEELS ARE MAKING A SQUEAKING NOISE WHILE DRIVING; REPLACED BRAKES, ROTORS, HAD TIRES ROTATED, BALANCED AND NEW ALIGNMENT DONE WITH NO HELP 2. BRAKES GO TO FLOOR WHILE BRAKING..THIS JUST STARTED 3. BACK WINDSHIELD WIPER MAKES A LOUD NOISE AND DOESN'T WORK...EVER! 4. SEAT CONTROL GETS STUCK AND WON'T MOVE 5. NO REVERSE LIGHT(S) AND CANNOT FIGURE OUT ISSUE 6. FINAL AND BIGGEST ISSUE IS THAT ALL THE LIGHTS (INCLUDING HEADLIGHTS) FLICKER BOTH WHILE DRIVING AND IDLING) I HAVE HAD THE ALTERNATOR TESTED AND REPLACED AS WELL AS THE BATTERY..STILL HAPPENING I BOUGHT THIS TRUCK DECEMBER 8, 2007 USED FROM A LOCAL DEALER. MY 2007 TAHOE IS A PIECE OF ?!@#$%. SINCE I GOT THE TRUCK IT HAS BEEN IN AND OUT OF THE SHOP. MY GAS GAGE FLOATS I CAN START OUT AT OF A TANK AND IT WILL GO UP TO OF A TANK. THE DEALERSHIP HAS CHANGED MULTIPLE PARTS AND CAN NOT SEEM TO FIX IT. THE BLOWER IN THE AIR CONDITIONER WENT OUT THAT HAD TO BE REPLACED AS WELL. MY SERVICE LIGHT CAME ON AND ANOTHER PART HAD TO BE REPLACED. I WOULD HAVE TO SAY THAT MY TRUCK HAS BEEN IN THE SHOP AT LEAST 30 DAYS. I WOULD NOT BUY ANOTHER GM VEHICLE. 2001 CHEVY 2500 HD TRUCKS ( FRONT WHEEL HUB ASSEMBLIES) LOOSING UP UNDER NORMAL DRIVING CONDITIONS. THESE ARE SEALED HUB UNITS SO YOU MUST PURCHASE BRAND NEW ONES AT A COST OF OVER $500-700 PER UNIT. I HAVE HAD BOTH SIDES LOSING UP ON ME AND NOW THE REPLACEMENT IS NOW LOOSE AGAIN AFTER 30,000 MILES. TO TEST THIS YOU MUST JACK THE WHEEL OFF THE GROUND AND PUSH/PULL ON THE WHEEL IT WILL ROCK BACK AND FORTH AS IF ITS READY TO COME OFF THE WHEEL ASSEMBLY. I WAS A MECHANIC FOR 9 YEARS SO IM NOT YOUR AVERAGE DRIVER WHO WOULD NOT NOTICE ITEMS SUCH AS THIS. I TAKE BETTER CARE THAN MOST FOR MY TRUCKS AND SEE THIS AS A MAJOR SAFETY FACTOR FOR ALL OTHER CHEVY TRUCKS ON THE ROAD. NOTE: THIS WAS AN EXPERIMENTAL HUB THEY USED FOR ONLY A COUPLE OF YEARS. WE OWN A 2000 S-10 ZR2. THE ORIGINAL TRANSMISSION HAD 42,000 MILES (6000 MILES OUT OF WARRANTY) WHEN IT FAILED. THE 2ND TRANSMISSION FAILED 1 YEAR LATER AS IT ONLY HAD 22,000 MILES ON IT. WE ARE NOW SPENDING $2600.00 ON A 3RD TRANSMISSION AND DRIVETRAIN PROBLEM. GM/CHEVROLET REFUSED TO HELP US WHEN WE CALLED IN MAY OF 2004. THEY CLAIM SINCE IT WAS OUT OF WARRANTY THEY COULDN'T HELP.
