LATER INVESTIGATION SHOWED GAS DROPLETS COMING DOWN FROM THE TOP OF THE FUEL TANK WHEN IT WAS FULL OR NEAR FULL. SUBSEQUENT EXAMINATION BY GM DEALERSHIP REVEALED RUSTED OUT FUEL MODULE (PUMP/SENDER UNIT) LOCKING RING AND RUST HOLE IN TOP OF FUEL MODULE. EXAMINATION REQUIRED GAS TANK TO BE REMOVED. LABOR AND FUEL MODULE REPLACEMENT COST = $1000.00.
