I AM COMPLAINING ABOUT THE 1990'S CHEVROLET BLAZERS. SEVERAL CONSUMERS HAVE REPORTED TO ME THE SAME PROBLEM. THE DASH THAT IS DIDITAL SHOWING THE MILEAGE, SPEDOMETER AND GAS CONSUMPTION GOES OUT AFTER A PERIOD OF TIME AND IS DEFECTIVE WHICH MAKES THE VECHICLE UNSAFE BECAUSE I CANNOT SEE HOW FAST I AM GOING, AND GAS CONSUMPTION. I TRULY BELEIVE THIS IS A DEFECTIVE PART. I SPOKE TO A COUPLE OF BUSINESS'S THAT DEAL WITH THIS TYPE OF REPAIR AND I WAS INFORMED THAT IT WOULD COST OVER ONE THOUSANDY SHOULD OF INFORMED THE CONSUMERS THAT THER WAS A POSSIABLIIT DOLLARS TO REPAIR AND I WAS ALSO INFORMED THAT THEY WERE AWARE OF MANY OF THESE PARTS GOING OUT MAKING THIS A DEFECTIVE PART. I FEEL THAT CHEVROLET. *AK

WHILE DRIVING AND WITHOUT PRIOR WARNING ALL ELECTRICAL COMPONENTS WENT COMPLETELY OUT, CAUSING POOR DRIVER VISIBILITY. *AK

ABS BRAKE LIGHT STAYS ON EVEN WHEN VEHICLE IS TURNED OFF. CONSUMER HAS REPLACED BATTERY TWICE. CONSUMER WILL CONTACT MANUFACTURER TO SEE IF THEY WILL REPAIR IT. *AK
ALTERNATOR CAUGHT ON FIRE WHILE DRIVING. PLEASE PROVIDE ADDITIONAL INFORMATION. VEHICLE WAS TOTALLED.*AK *SLC
BATTERY CABLE WAS DESIGNED TOO CLOSE TO BATTERY RACK. THIS CAUSED BATTERY TO SHORT OUT AND LOSE POWER. MANUFACTURER NOTIFIED, AND INFORMED CONSUMER THAT VEHICLE WAS OUT OF ITS WARRANTY, AND NOTHING COULD BE DONE. *AK CABLE NEEDS TO BE INSULATED AND STRAPPED TO PREVENT CHAFFING AND SHORENING. *YH
WHILE DRIVING SMOKE STARTING COMING OUT OF THE DASHBOARD. FIRST, SPEEDOMETER AND OTHER GAUGES BLACKED OUT. AFTER TURNING VEHICLE OFF FOR A FEW MINUTES, IT STOPPED SMOKING. DEALER AND MANUFACTURER HAVE BEEN NOTIFIED ABOUT THE PROBLEM. CLUSTER MODULE SENT TO BE "RECONDITIONED." *AK *ML
WAS DRIVING VEHICLE WHEN VEHICLE SUDDENLY LOST POWER. AFTER LEAVING VEHICLE, IT EXPLODED & CAUGHT FIRE. FLAMES PUT OUT BY FIRE DEPT. INDICATION OF FIRE WAS IN FUEL LINES WHICH WAS CAUSED BY A SHORT IN ELECTRICAL WIRING.
DRIVING THE TRUCK THE BATTERY LIGHT CAME ON, AND THE TRUCK STARTED LOSING POWER, THE TRUCK COASTED TO A SERVICE STATION. SMOKE WAS COMING FROM UNDERNEATH THE HOOD, SAW FLAMES CALLED FIRE DEPARTMENT, AND WAS TOLD LATER THAT THE FIRE STARTED IN THE ALTERNATOR. *AK *SLC
THE WIRING HARNESS CAUGHT ON FIRE FOR NO REASON. OWNER SPOKE WITH VARIOUS PEOPLE WHO HAD SAME PROBLEM. THE EXACT CAUSE HAS NOT BEEN DETERMINED. *AK
CONSUMER LEFT VEHICLE TO WARM UP, UPON RETURNING DISCOVERED THAT VEHICLE WAS ON FIRE IN THE ENGINE COMPARTMENT. FIRE DEPARTMENT STATED THAT FIRE WAS ELECTRICAL. CONSUMER IS WAITING TO HEAR FROM INSURANCE COMPANY. *AK
DELCO FREEDOM BATTERY POSITIVE TERMINAL POST BROKE ,CAUSING BATTERY TO SPILL ACID AND CORRODING BATTERY CABLE, 1ST VEHICLE ON 515741.
THE ALTENATOR BLEW UP AND IT CAUSED THE RADIATOR HOSE TO CATCH ON FIRE AND BURN THE ENGINE. PLEASE DESCRIBE. *AK
