THE MANUFACTURER STATED THAT THE VIN WAS EXCLUDED FROM THE RECALL. SHE BELIEVES THAT THE VEHICLE SHOULD BE INCLUDED IN THE RECALL SINCE THE FAILURES ARE IDENTICAL. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 43,000.

I RECEIVED A RECALL NOTICE FROM CHEVROLET APPROX 3 WEEKS AFTER MY DAUGHTER'S ACCIDENT. THEY HAVE PERFORMED TESTING, BUT SAID THE TESTS ARE INCONCLUSIVE AND DENY RESPONSIBILITY. THE 4-WD TEST INDICATED NO PROB. BUT THE VEH. WAS NOT IN 4WD AT THE TIME OF THE ACCIDENT. GOOD WEATHER AND ROAD CONDITIONS, SKIP MARKS INDICATE TO ME THAT THE ABS DID IN FACT FAILED OR MALFUNCTIONED. PRODUCT LIABILITY PERSON IS VERY DIFFICULT TO CONTACT, BUT FINALLY GOT BACK WITH ME AND TOLD ME TO HAVE THE DAMAGES REPAIRED, THEN THEY WILL DO THE RECALL WORK ON THE BRAKES. IF THERE IS NO PROBLEM WITH THE BRAKES, THEN WHY WOULD THEY DO THE RECALL WORK? I FEEL WE ARE BEING DECEIVED AND NEED HELP RESOLVING THIS WITH CHEVROLET.
