CONSUMER GOT INTO VEHICLE AND STARTED IT UP. THEN, REALIZED THAT SHE DIDN'T HAVE REMOTE CONTROL TO GARAGE DOOR. WHEN GETTING OUT OF VEHICLE IT STARTED ROLLING BACKWARDS. DOOR KNOCKED DOWN CONSUMER, AND VEHICLE RAN OVER CONSUMER'S LEG. SHE SUFFERED A BROKEN LEG. STATE FARM INSURANCE ADVISED CONSUMER TO CALL NHTSA AUTO SAFETY HOTLINE. CONSUMER WILL ALSO BE CALLING MANUFACTURER.*AK *SLC
CONSUMER WAS TRAVELING ON A SIDE STREET AND WITHOUT PRIOR NOTICE, VEHICLE STARTED KNOCKING/HESITATING, AND THEN SURGING. SUDDEN SURGING ALMOST RESULTED IN AN INCIDENT. DEALERSHIP IS AWARE OF PROBLEM.*AK
ENGINE SURGES/ IT STALLS/ROUGH IDLE/ HARD START.ING, AND LOSS OF POWER BRAKES AND STEERING WHEEL DUE TO DEFECTIVE MODULE. MANUFACTURER HAS RECEIVED NOTICE #C96067 FOR DEFECT. *AK THE VEHICLE STALLS AT SLOW SPEED, CHECK THE ENGINE LIGHT CAMES ON. POWER DOOR LOCK IS INOPERATIVE.
CONSUMER PUT VEHICLE IN TO THE DRIVE POSITION, VEHICLE'S ACCELERATOR WENT TO THE FLOOR AND WAS STUCK, CAUSING THE VEHICLE TO FISHTAIL UNCONTROLLABLY THROUGH A PARKING LOT AND THEN PROCEEDED INTO AN ALLEY WHERE THE VEHICLE FINALLY STOPPED AFTER CRASHING THROUGH ONE FENCE AND BEING STOPPED AT ANOTHER.
THE WRONG SIZE VACUUM LINE INSTALLED ON ACTUATOR WHICH CAUSED THE CRUISE CONTROL TO NOT WORK PROPERLY. *MJS
VEHICLE DESCRIPTION: PICKUP TRUCKS, CREW CABS, UTILITY TRUCKS AND SPORT UTILITY VEHICLES. THESE VEHICLES WERE BUILT WITH THE POLARITY OF THE WIRING FOR THE ZERO ADJUST BRAKE SWITCH REVERSED FROM WHAT WAS SPECIFIED ON THE SWITCH DRAWING. WITH THE REVERSED POLARITY, THE CONTACTS IN THE BRAKE SWITCH CAN WEAR OUT PREMATURELY. THE BRAKE SWITCH WILL PERFORM NORMALLY UNTIL THE BRAKE SWITCH CONTACTS WEAR OUT, RESULTING IN LOSS OF THE BRAKE LAMPS WITHOUT ANY WARNING TO THE DRIVER. THIS IS THE SAME PROBLEM I HAVE WITH MY VEHICLE. PLUS, THE CRUISE CONTROL WILL NOT SHUT-OFF BECASE THE BRAKE LIGHTS ARE NOT TURNED ON WHEN PUSHING DOWN ON THE BRAKE PEDAL.
BRAKE PEDAL SEIZED WHEN DRIVING OVER 40MPH, HAPPENS OFF AND ON. *AK
WHILE DRIVING VEHICLE WOULD BE MISSING/BACKFIRING AND BLOWING BLACK SMOKE. WENT TO EMISSION CONTROL INSPECTION, AND VEHICLE DIDN'T PASS. ALSO, FUEL INJECTION LINE IN THROTTLE BODY WAS A PLASTIC LINE AND IT SPLIT. FILLED UP FUEL INJECTION SYSTEM WITH GASOLINE. IF THERE WAS A SPARK, VEHICLE WOULD CATCH ON FIRE. IN ADDITION, REPLACED CATALYTIC CONVERTER/O2 SENSOR/ RADIATOR CAP/ BRAKE ROTORS, AND THROTTLE BODY AIR VALVE. HOWEVER, VEHICLE WAS STILL EXHIBITING THE SAME PROBLEM. CONTACTED DEALER . *AK
VEHICLE HAD ROUGH IDLE, CLEANED EGR VALVE. REOCCURRING PROBLEM. *AK
VEHICLE COLLIDED WITH TREE AS A RESULT OF SUDDEN ACCELERATION. MJS
VEHICLE EXPERIENCED SUDDEN ACCELERATION ON WET PAVEMENT, CAUSING COLLISION, RESULTING IN PROPERTY DAMAGE. *YC

WHILE TRAVELING AT VARIOUS SPEEDS, WITH THE CRUISE CONTROL ON OR OFF, DRIVER ACCELERATED TO PASS AND THE VEHICLE KEPT ACCELERATING. TURNING OFF THE CRUISE CONTROL DID NOTHING IN ONE INSTANCE. THIS HAS HAPPEDNED WITH AND WITHOUT THE CRUISE CONTROL ON.
BRAKES: WHEN DRIVING AND COMING TO STOP SIGN ,PUT FOOT ON BRAKE PEDAL AND VEHICLE ACCELERATED AND LUNGED FORWARD. ALSO BRAKES MAKE A CLUNKING NOISE. *AK
WHEN BRAKES ARE APPLIED THE VEHICLE LURCHES FORWARD , RESULTING IN EXTENDED STOPPING DISTANCE. THE DEALER HAS BEEN NOTIFIED. *AK
