ON SEVERAL OCCASIONS, VEHICLE WILL SHUTDOWN WITHOUT PRIOR WARNING. CONSUMER TOOK VEHICLE TO DEALERSHIP. MECHANIC PUT IN A NEW FUEL INJECTOR. *AK CONSUMER BELIEVES THIS PART IS UNDER RECALL AND IS REQUESTING REIMBURSEMENT.

FUEL SYSTEM WAS CUTTING OFF DURING DRIVE. TAKEN IN AND WORKED ON BY DEALER. REAL AXLE SEALS HAVE BEEN REPLACED 2/3 TIMES (97/99). DRIVER'S SEAT HAS SEPARATED FROM THE FRAME. BATTERY/ALTERNATOR MALFUNCTION RECENTLY. WILL BE TAKING IN VEHICLE TO DEALER ABOUT SEAT AND BATTERY/ALTERNATOR SITUATION THIS WEEK. I JUST HAVE TO GET THE BATTERIES RECHARGED ENOUGH TO GET THE TRUCK STARTED. JUST HAD ALL 8 GLOW PLUGS REPLACED END OF NOV 1999 RIGHT AFTER THE WARRANTY COMPLETED.( DOT NUMBER: AD11C98356 TIRE SIZE: LT 245/75R )

WHILE DRIVING DOWN FUEL INJECTION PUMP MALFUNCTIONED, CAUSING VEHICLE TO STALL/ DIE. THIS CAN CAUSE THE DRIVER TO LOSE CONTROL BECAUSE DRIVER LOSES POWER STEERING AND AND POWER BRAKES. TOOK TO DEALER 3 TIMES FOR SAME PROBLEM. CONSUMERS WARRANTY HAS EXPIRED, AND DEALER WILL NOT FIX IT AGAIN. CONSUMER FEELS THAT THE DEALER NEVER REALLY CORRECTED THE PROBLEM. *AK

THE VEHICLE STALLED OUT AT 65MPH AND ALL POWER STEERING AND POWER BRAKES WENT OUT. THIS WAS DUE TO THE VEHICLE NEEDING A FUEL INJECTION PUMP. DLR HAS REPLACED THE PUMP TWICE. PROBLEM STILL EXIST. MJS

AN APPROVED GM REPAIR FACILITY HAS REPLACED THE FUEL INJECTOR PUMP ON THIS VEHICLE 5 TIMES. IT CAUSES THE TRUCK TO HESITATE WHEN ACCELERATING AND JERK SEVERLY WHEN DECELERATING. I KNOW OF OTHER VEHICLES OF THE SAME MODEL THAT HAVE HAD THE SAME PROBLEM WITH THESE PUMPS. I AM CURRENTLY LOOKING FOR ANOTHER TRUCK TO PURCHASE AND CANNOT GET A FAIR TRADE-IN ON THIS TRUCK BECAUSE OF THE REPAIRS THAT HAVE BEEN UNSUCCESSFUL. SOMETHING NEEDS TO BE DONE TO RESOLVE THIS PROBLEM WITH NEWER MODELS IF IT EXISTS AND TO COMPENSATE PRESENT UNSATISFIED OWNERS.
