FOR NO APPARENT REASON, MY ENTIRE GAUGE CLUSTER LIGHTS, A/C & AIR CONTROL KNOB LIGHTS, AND THE LIGHT FOR THE SHIFTER ALL STOPPED WORKING. ALSO, MY TRIP ODOMETER DOES NOT FUNCTION EITHER. I CHECKED THE FUSE PANEL LOCATED ON THE LEFT OF THE STEERING WHEEL AND NOTICED I WASN'T MISSING ANY OF THEM & NONE WENT BAD EITHER. WHAT ELSE COULD BE CAUSING THIS TO HAPPEN? OBVIOUSLY IT'S AN ELECTRICAL PROBLEM OF SOME SORT.

DT: THE VEHICLE WAS SITTING WHEN FIRE OCCURED. IN THE ENGINE COMPARTMENT. SMOKE WAS COMING FROM UNDER HOOD. THERE WAS NO WARNING BEFORE FIRE. IT WAS A FUEL FIRE. OWNER DOESNT KNOW WHAT COMPONENT. VEHICLE HAD BEEN DRIVEN FOR A SHORT TIME PRIOR TO VEHICLE. THE FIRE DEPARTMENT PUT OUT THE FIRE. THERE WAS A SMALL INVESTINGATION, WITH RECORDS AVAILABLE. THERE WAS NO POLICE REPORT.*AK
WHILE DRIVING AT 60 MPH CONSUMER SAW SMOKE COMING FROM THE ENGINE COMPARTMENT. CONSUMER PULLED OVER TO THE CURB, AND SAW. FIRE IN THE ENGINE COMPARTMENT. THEN, CALLED THE FIRE DEPARTMENT. THE FIRE DEPARTMENT EXPLAINED THAT IT WAS AN ELECTRICAL FIRE BECAUSE THE ELECTRICAL WIRES BURNED. *AK

WHILE DRIVING CONSUMER NOTICED SMOKE COMING THROUGH THE VENTS INSIDE THE CAR. CONSUMER STOPPED CAR, PULLED UP THE HOOD, AND SAW FIRE ON THE LEFT SIDE OF ENGINE. *AK *ML
THE HEADLIGHTS FLICKER WHEN THE ENGINE SPEED DECREASES AND ESPECIALLY WHEN BRAKING.
CONSUMER WAS DRIVING VECHICLE WHEN HE SAW SMOKE COMMING FROM THE HOOD OF HIS VECHICLE, AND ALSO THE SMOKE WAS COMMING FROM THE BACK AREA. FLAMES IGNITED AND THE CAR AND IT CAUGHT ON FIRE. THERE WERE NO INJURIES. *AK

WHEN VEHICLE WAS STARTED THE OWNER HEARD A LOUD NOISE AND SAW THICK SMOKE COMING FROM UNDER THE HOOD. THE DEALER HAD REPAIRED THE MOTOR PRIOR TO THE INCIDENT. THE MANUFACTURER HAS NOT BEEN NOTFIED. *AK

SUDDEN, COMPLETE ELECTRICAL FAILURE WHEN THE WIRES ATTACHED TO THE BATTERY JUNCTION BLOCK OVERHEATED AND MELTED THE PLASTIC OF THE BLOCK CAUSING THE WIRING HARNESS TO SHORT OUT. OVERHEATING WAS DUE TO LOOSE WIRES.
TUBING COVERING RETURN LINE FROM ALTERNATOR TO BATTERY MELTED.
TWICE WITHIN 12 MTHS, REAR BRAKE LIGHTS GO OUT. FAILURE IS A RELAY QUOTED BY SELMAN CHEVROLET UPON FIRST REPAIR. PLEASE DESCRIBE DETAILS. *AK
