I was driving home and a truck overpassed me on a loose sand area causing me to have to make a sudden brake and my car due to the loose sand and rocks sing around and hit a power pole and the impact to the power pole that was on the corner bounced me car back and my car did a flip and it landed on its front bumper and ultimately rolled over 4 times down a hill and landed on all four tires during the impact front airbags did not deploy my whole entire front dash board exploded and fragments flew everywhere once my car festered to roll the side airbags dropped but did not inflate, at the moment that my car hit the pole my driver seat physically came out of place and and even with my seat belt on it throw me to my backseat and caused the seat belt to me twisted around me, this same issue was allegedly fixed by three way Chevy I had made a report during the time frame of June2023 when three way failed to fix my recall and fraudulently reported the recall repaired yet said no work was done to my car I was in contact with u guys already and this is unfortunately proof that supports my initial report to you from 2023 and need this investigation reopened
When someone sits in the passenger seat the airbag light/alarm goes on and off. My mechanic said I would need to take it to the dealer. I called dealer and they would need to diagnose if it is the seat belt or the seat weight sensor. Can cost upwards of $900. I just can't afford that. They should recall since I've researched so many complaints on this issue.

ON AUGUST 18TH 2020. I WAS INTERESTED IN BUYING THIS 2011 CAMARO FROM TS AUTO SALES IN ORLANDO FLORIDA. THE SALESMAN NAME IS [XXX]. I ASKED HIM IF THERE WAS ANY EXTENSIVE DAMAGE TO THE VEHICLE? HE SAID THE DRIVER SIDE WAS HIT AND IT WAS REPLACED. I ASKED HIM IF THERE WAS ANYTHING ELSE? HE SAID NO. AFTER I PURCHASED THE VEHICLE. I LATER FOUND OUT, THAT HE WAS NOT BEING TRUTHFUL WITH ME. I LOOKED THE VEHICLE UP, AND FOUND THAT THE AIR BAGS HAD BEEN DEPLOYED. WHICH IS A MAJOR SAFETY VIOLATION. I ALSO ASKED HIM WHY THE BATTERY WAS BEING DRAINED. HE SAID IT JUST NEED TO BE CHARGED. I TOOK THE CAR TO A STEVE'S AUTO ELECTRIC IN CLERMONT FLORIDA. THE TECHNICIAN TOLD ME THAT THE AIR BAGS NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. AT THE COST OF $3,500. THIS IS A REBUILD ABLE TITLE. YOU CAN NOT GET THIS VEHICLE INSPECTED IF ALL OF THE REPAIRS ARE NOT DONE, AND YOU MUST HAVE RECEIPTS FOR EVERY PART THAT WAS REPAIRED, OR REPLACED. THIS IS A VERY UNSAFE VEHICLE. TOOK IT TO THE DEALERSHIP AND THEY SAID THE AIRBAG NEEDS TO BE REPLACED AT AN EXPENSIVE PRICE. CURRENTLY RIDING AROUND IN A VEHICLE WITH FAULTY AIRBAGS FOR NO APPARENT REASON.
AROUND 60,000 MILES, THE "SERVICE AIRBAG" WARNING WAS DISPLAYED ALONGSIDE THE AIRBAG LIGHT ON MY VEHICLE. THE WARNING IS DISPLAYING AT ALL SPEEDS AND WHENEVER THE VEHICLE IS TURNED ON. I AM TRYING TO SELL THE VEHICLE TO PURCHASE ANOTHER VEHICLE BUT WAS TOLD TODAY AT A LOCAL DEALERSHIP THAT THE VALUE OF MY TRADE-IN WOULD BE DECREASED BY $2,000 DUE TO THIS WARNING WHICH WOULD HAMPER ME FROM BEING ABLE TO AFFORD ANOTHER VEHICLE. I AM NOT ABLE TO AFFORD THIS $2,000, SO IT SEEMS AS THOUGH I AM DRIVING AROUND WITH A VEHICLE OF WHICH ITS AIRBAGS ARE NOT FUNCTIONING. WHEN RESEARCHING THIS PROBLEM, IT SOUNDS TO BE A RELATIVELY COMMON PROBLEM THAT OTHERS ARE HAVING - BUT EVEN MORE CONCERNING, IT SOUNDS LIKE THIS ERROR MAY DEACTIVATE THE AIRBAG ALTOGETHER WHICH IS A CONSIDERABLE SAFETY CONCERN CONSIDERING I DON'T HAVE $2,000 TO PUT TOWARD THE CAR TO RESOLVE THIS ERROR.

THE CAR HADN'T BEN DRIVEN FROM OCTOBER 1ST UNTIL MAY 1ST BECAUSE IT WAS IN STORAGE AND THE LIGHT CAME ON THE MINUTE WE DROVE IT.
AT ABOUT 34,000 MILES ON THE CAR, I STARTED GETTING INTERMITTENT CODES WHENEVER SOMEBODY WAS SITTING IN THE PASSENGER SIDE SEAT ABOUT THE AIRBAG NOT BEING ACTIVATED. AFTER SOME TIME THE CODE WAS STEADY AND NOW THE AIRBAG REMAINS DEACTIVATED AT ALL TIMES, EVEN IF SOMEONE SITTING IN THE PASSENGER SEAT. I DID HAVE THIS DIAGNOSED AND IT CAME UP AS THE PASSENGER AIRBAG MODULE, THE REPLACEMENT COST IS APPROXIMATELY $1,000. I HAVE ALSO DISCOVERED THROUGH A RELATIVE THAT HAS ACCESS TO THE MECHANICS COMMUNICATION BOARD THAT ALTHOUGH IT COMES UP AS THE MODULE IT IS A KNOWN WIRING ISSUE. APPARENTLY THIS ISSUE HAS BEEN GOING ON THROUGH SEVERAL YEAR MODELS OF THE CAMARO. I DID REACH OUT TO CHEVROLET ABOUT THE PROBLEM HOWEVER THE ONLY HELP THAT THEY WOULD OFFER WAS TO CALL THE DEALERSHIP SO THE DEALERSHIP COULD CALL ME SO I CAN BRING IT IN AND HAVE IT FIXED. FROM WHAT I UNDERSTAND CHANGING THE MODULE DOES NOT FIX THE PROBLEM AS IT HAS SOMETHING TO DO WITH THE WIRING SYSTEM. I'M A LITTLE OUTRAGED THAT CHEVROLET HAS KNOWN ABOUT THIS PROBLEM AND YET CONTINUES TO USE THE SAME SYSTEM IN OTHER YEAR MODELS AND CHOOSES TO DO NOTHING ABOUT IT. SO AT THIS MOMENT I AM DRIVING AROUND WITH OUT AN AIRBAG ON THE PASSENGER SIDE. I'M NOT REALLY SURE WHY THEY HAVE NOT BEEN HELD ACCOUNTABLE ON SUCH A SAFETY ISSUE.

THIS IS RIDICULOUS I LOOKED ABOUT THIS CLAIM AND THERE ARE HUNDREDS OF CAMAROS WITH THIS EXACT SAME ISSUE. THIS IS A $700 REPLACEMENT AND DOES NOT SIT WELL WITH ME AS I'VE ALWAYS BOUGHT CHEVYS AND NOT HAD ISSUES BEFORE. THIS IS A SAFETY ISSUE AND IF I HAVE TO PAY $700 TO FIX A SAFETY ISSUE THAT WAS DEFECTIVE WITH THIS VEHICLE AND SEVERAL HUNDRED OTHERS THEN THIS IS A MANUFACTURE DEFECT THAT SHOULD NOT FALL ON CONSUMER TO GET IT REPLACED. I ORIGINALLY HAD TROUBLE WITH THE AIRBAG SENSOR IN 2013. I TOOK IT TO MY LOCAL DEALER WHO STATED THEY WHERE UNABLE TO DUPLICATE THE ISSUE. THEY RESET THE SENSOR AND IT WAS FINE. NOW WITH THE VEHICLE OUT OF WARRANTY ANYTIME SOME ONE SITS IN THE PASSENGER SEAT THE SERVICE AIRBAG LIGHT TURNS ON AND OFF THE WHOLE TIME I AM DRIVING. THE CAB WAS FILLED WITH WHITE SMOKE AND MY VISION WAS LOST MOMENTARILY. I WAS TRAVELING TO WORDS THE ROADWAY BUT MANAGED TO STOP PREVIOUS TO ENTERING THE ROAD. THERE WAS ONCOMING TRAFFIC AND I WAS ALSO BURNED AND MY NECK VERY SEVERELY INJURED DUE TO THE NATURE OF THE VIOLENT EXPLOSION RIGHT NEXT TO MY HEAD. MY LEFT EARDRUM IS ALSO PERMANENTLY RUPTURED DUE TO THIS EVENT. MY VEHICLE WAS LOCATED ON A MOUNTAN ROAD IN SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA HIGHWAY 2. HAD THIS HAPPENED IN A CORNER ON THE ACTUAL ROADWAY THE CONSIQUENCES MAY HAVE BEEN MUCH MORE SEVERE. AGAIN NOTHING AT ALL WAS STRUCK DURING THE DEPLOYMENT AND NOTHING HAS BEEN HIT SINCE. I FEEL THIS IS A SAFETY ISSUE THAT SHOULD BE TAKEN CARE OF BY GM. IF I AM RIDING IN THE CAR WITH THE AIR BAG OFF THIS IS A SAFETY ISSUE, I DO NOT WANT TO LOOSE MY LIFE OVER SOMETHING THAT GM SHOULD REPAIR AND HAS KNOWN ABOUT SINCE 2009. IT HAS BEEN IN THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT EACH TIME WITH WORK LISTED AS CONNECTIONS CLEANED, SENSOR CHECKED, WARNING RESET.....BUT NO REPLACEMENT PARTS AND NOTHING NOTED AS DEFECTIVE. I'VE BEEN TOLD PUTTING A LAP TOP ON THE PASSENGER SEAT COULD SET OFF THE SENSOR.....A BLUE-TOOTH CALL COULD SET OFF THE SENSOR, BUT NOT WHY? MOST RECENT TRIP (#5) TO HENDRICKS MOTORS WAS 04/24/2014. WE PICKED THE CAR UP, RAN ERRANDS (APPX. 40 MILES) AND THE LIGHT IS ON AGAIN - THE SAME DAY! I HAVE BEEN TOLD THE AIR BAGS WILL STILL DEPLOY, THE AIR BAGS MIGHT DEPLOY, AND THE AIR BAGS WILL NOT DEPLOY, AS LONG AS THE SERVICE LIGHT IS ON. WHAT IS MY NEXT STEP? I AM TRYING TO DOCUMENT EVERYTHING IN CASE THERE IS AN ACCIDENT AND THE BAGS DON'T DEPLOY.

I WAS TURNING RIGHT WHILE DRIVING THE VEHICLE AND THEN BY MISTAKE THE BACK RIGHT TIRE AND WHEEL HIT THE CURVE AND THAT MADE A LITTLE DAMAGE TO THE WHEEL AND THE WHEEL IS LITTLE BIT DIAGONAL. WORST CASE SCENARIO THE BEARINGS IS BROKEN. MY COMPLAINT IS WHY WOULD THE AIRBAGS DEPLOY THAT MOMENT WHILE THE IMPACT IS ONLY ON THE WHEEL? ALSO MY FRIEND WAS SITTING ON THE PASSENGER SEAT AND AFTER THE AIRBAG DEPLOYED THE POWDER THAT COMES OUT FROM IT GOT ON HIS SKIN AND HE GOT BURNED FROM IT, SINCE THAT IS A VERY DANGEROUS AND CAN CAUSE BURNS IF IT GETS ON UNPROTECTED SKIN, AND IT CAN SEVERELY IRRITATE THE LUNGS IF INHALED. THE MAIN POINT IS THE AIRBAG SHOULDN'T DEPLOY IN A SMALL DAMAGE AS THIS, I HAVE SAID THAT BECAUSE I EXPERIENCED IT WITH 2010 S600 MERCEDES BENZ, THE DAMAGE WAS WAY WAY WORSE THEN THE ONE ON THE CAMARO. THE DAMAGE ON THE S600 WAS TO WHEELS BROKEN AND THE BODY GOT EFFECTED AND THE ACCIDENT WAS VERY SIMILAR TO THE CAMARO AND THE AIRBAG ON THE S600 DIDN'T DEPLOY AND MERCEDES HAVE BETTER QUALITY AND MORE SAFETY THEN CHEVROLET. I WENT TO THE ROYAL CHEVROLET IN WEST BROAD STREET RICHMOND, VIRGINIA. THEY DIDN'T TREAT ME WELL THEY WERE TALKING TO ME AS CHILD THEY DIDN'T EVEN INSPECT THE CAR THEY JUST THE AIRBAGS DID WHAT IT SUPPOSE TO DO THAT WAS BY THE SERVICE MANAGER. I TOLD HIM THE DAMAGE WAS VERY MINOR AND THE DEPLOYMENT OF THE AIRBAG SHOULDN'T HAPPEN HE DIDN'T EVEN SAY ANYTHING HE WAS TRYING TO FLIP THE WHOLE THING ON ME. JUST PICKED UP CAR. IT WAS IN SHOP FOR TWO DAYS. CAR HAD A GRINDING AND SQUEALING IN THE STEERING. GM TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE TOLD THEM THE DISCONNECT SHAFT TO SEE WHERE NOISE WAS COMING FROM. DEALER HAD TO REPLACE ANGLE SENSOR AND SRS COIL FOR THE AIR BAG. PICK UP CAR AND WAS LIKE NEW AGAIN FOR ABOUT 35 MILE. I WAS BACKING INTO DRIVE WAY AND HEARD A SNAP FROM THE STEERING. THE FIRST FAILURE WAS AT 4500 MILES IN THE MIDDLE LANE AS CAR PULLED INFRONT AND WHEN I HIT THE BRAKES THE CAR WHEN INTO A SKID AND THE STEERING WHEEL LOCKED UP AT APPROX 40 MPH.THIS DEFECT DID NOT CRASH THE CAR.
