The contact owns a 2014 Chevrolet Camaro. The contact was unable to remove the key fob from the ignition. The contact manually moved the clutch to be able to remove the key fob. The contact stated that several attempts were needed to remove the key fob from the ignition. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic and the failure was confirmed. The contact received a new key fob. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was unknown.

Anytime the break is pressed it causes the center console from working properly: audio stops, display does not work, turn signal sounds do work, lock/unlock buttons don’t work, AC system does not work. Radio console should be recalled. This issue started over 4 years ago and it continues to get progressively worse. Costly to repair.

The contact owns a 2014 Chevrolet Camaro. The contact stated that while driving at various speeds, the turn signals and the defroster were inoperable. Upon investigating the failure, the contact discovered that the failures had occurred because the grounding wire was not thick enough to support the electrical functions. The contact also discovered that other mechanics had added an additional ground wire to correct the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure, but no assistance was provided. A case was opened. The failure mileage was approximately 122,000.

The radio makes a loud pop & makes me jump as it goes on & off whenever it wants to. As this happens, the dash light turns off, the heater/ac turns off, the signal lights stop flashing, & when the turn signal is activated it makes a loud static noise that flashes through the speakers. It is a safety issue because it's distracting & it's dangerous for signal lights not to work properly. The car only had 60,000 miles when this began. I've been told there are computer chips, ECM modules, a new stereo with On Star navigation & I honestly can't remember all that was tested wrong with the electrical system that is estimated at $1000 to repair. I have seen numerous complaints of the same issue on the web. I sincerely believe it is a problem Chevrolet is aware of & a recall should be made before an accident is caused.

About 80% of the time I stop, I put the car into 'park" and attempt to remove the key, it is stuck. The solenoid in the steering column will not release the key although it is in position 2. My wife just left the key stuck and it drained the battery, stranding her. I have not taken the car to the dealer but research online has shown that this is a widespread problem among Camaros and other Chevrolet vehicles between 2010-2015. Users report the Chevy is refusing to declare a recall and dealers are charging $700 to replace the gear shifter which houses the switch that activates the solenoid in the steering column.

There is a distracting pop in the radio which also affects the signal lights, the heater and air conditioner controls, and the controls for the radio itself. There are numerous complaints on the web for this same year vehicle with the same problem. It is very distracting as when the radio pops it makes a loud noise that is similar to running over something or hitting something with your vehicle. Also the tail light on the driver side won't stay on and the headlight on the passenger side has a short in it also. These problems I have been listed numerous times on the web. I have had several service mechanics look at it and they haven't been able to fix it as of yet. I recently read online. There is a short in those radios. But the radio is still is listed as at $700. I don't have this kind of money to replace it. And I'm not sure if that will fix the problem or not. I wrote to Chevrolet when it first happened about 35,000 mi ago. I got a reply that they didn't have enough complaints yet. I don't know if they ever looked on the web because at the time there were quite a few and they are still listed today. This was the year after I bought my car which would have been 2018. It's a 2014 Chevrolet Camaro LS. Please assist as this affects where I go as I am afraid that something will happen to my car since it affects so many things already. I don't want it to cause other problems as these are more than enough to affect my driving. My car had approximately 30,000, mi at the time this incident began.

The key gets stuck in the accessory position rendering the car unable to be shut off, you have to keep shifting and putting it back into park while engaging the lever very hard several times to allow the button to release the key . Doing research online, as it was getting progressively worse, I have found that many Chevy owners experience this same problem. I found videos and threads that owners discovered it is the shifter assembly not the ignition. My car is currently at the dealership while they replace the assembly, confirming it is damaged. This will cost me about 1000 dollars to fix after tax. I have 8100 miles on my car, and it's in excellent condition. I can show the invoice when It is finished being repaired

When I drive my knee turns the key, causing a the car to turn off. This is a safety issue that is concerning I am a mom. Every time my knee hits the part key while the car is on it turns the car off. The heater is an issue I have air but no heat. In order for me to fix the heater I told they would have to remove the entire window, but I would have to sign a waiver, because the window could break. Then they would have to remove the dash and another part in order to fix the heat in the car. This is in my opinion a safety issue I don’t understand how the heater could be fixed without causing the window in the car to possibly break. I was told the chances of the window not breaking in order to fix the heater in the car is nearly impossible. Which means I would have to buy a window and pay for labor in order to fix the heat in the car. 1. I have an ignition issue my knee is turning off the car when I drive. 2. Fixing the heat in the car is nearly impossible. 3. Please help check for recalls

The a/c clicks on and off my turn signals are effected and now I am having to get a jump to start my car and I have a 1 year new battery. When I purchased it 3 years ago, the driver side white tail light would work, then it wouldn't. Bulb & fuse are fine. Now it doesn't work at all. Radio turns off & on with a pop sound through the speakers while driving at random times.

The radio will pop and all power goes out to the radio the heater and air conditioner. Will come back on after 5-10 seconds the pops again and it repeats. Even if the radio is off and not moving. I have a video of this.

HELLO IM REACHING OUT DUE TO A SAFETY CONCERN WITH MY 2014 CAMARO. THE VIN IN LOCATED IN THE SUBJECT LINE ABOVE. I REACHED OUT TO GM LETTING THEM KNOW THAT I WAS HAVING ISSUES WITH MY STEREO. THE SPEAKERS ARE ALSO AFFECTED WHEN THE PROBLEM PERSISTS.. THE TRIGGERS ARE USING THE POWER WINDOWS, USING TURN SIGNAL, ADJUSTING HEAT/AC, OR PUTTING THE VEHICLE INTO REVERSE. NOT ONLY IS IT INCONVENIENT TO NOT HAVE RADIO OR HEAT/AC. IT IS ALSO A SAFETY HAZARD TO NOT HAVE TURN SIGNALS AND HAVE VERY LOUD AND DISTRACTING POPPING NOISES WHILE DRIVING. WHEN I TURN THE VEHICLE OFF, THE KEY WILL NOT ROTATE TO THE LOCK POSITION, AND CAR ONLY HAS 24,000 MILES ON IT. AFTER MOVING THE GEAR SELECTOR MANY TIMES FROM DRIVE TO PARK THE KEY FINALLY ROTATES TO THE LOCKED POSITION TO ALLOW REMOVAL OF THE KEY. DURING THIS SUMMER THE ISSUE HAS BEEN GETTING WORSE AND WORSE, TO THE POINT I AM AFRAID TO DRIVE THE VEHICLE ANYWHERE. I HAVE ALSO NOTICED WHEN YOU ENTER THE VEHICLE AND JUST ROTATE THE KEY TO RUN POSITION, IT WILL LOCK UP AS WELL, NOT ALLOWING THE KEY TO ROTATE BACK INTO THE LOCK POSITION. THEN HAVE TO CYCLE THE SHIFTER FOR THE TRANNY FROM PARK TO DRIVE MULTIPLE TIMES TO GET IT TO ROTATE IN TO THE LOCK POSITINO FOR I CAN REMOVE THE KEY..

THE CAR STILL RUNS AND RESPONDS TO THE GAS AND BRAKE PEDALS AND THE STEERING CONTINUES TO WORK. THIS IS EXTREMELY DANGEROUS AND VERY CONFUSING AND SCARY WHILE DRIVING THE CAR. I HAVE STOCK EVERYTHING ON MY CAMARO. THE RADIO, TURN SIGNALS, AND A/C GLITCH OUT ALL OF THE TIME. MY RADIO WILL RANDOMLY GLITCH OUT SOMETIMES WITH A LOUD NOISE COMING FROM THE SPEAKERS AND SOMETIMES QUIET. I NO LONGER HAVE CONTROL OF WHAT STATION TO LISTEN TO OR THE VOLUME. SOMETIMES IT HAPPENS EVERY COUPLE OF MINUTES AND OTHER TIMES EVERY 10 SECONDS. IF THE REAR DEFROST IS ON, THE RADIO HAS NO SOUND UNTIL I TURN THE REAR DEFROST OFF. WHEN I HIT THE BRAKES, TURN ON MY HIGH/LOW BEAMS, OR USE MY TURN SIGNAL, THE RADIO GLITCHES. IT ALSO GLITCHES WITHOUT TOUCHING ANYTHING IN THE CAR WHAT SO EVER. ALSO SOMETIMES WHEN I USE MY TURN SIGNALS, IT MAKE MY SPEAKER SOUND LIKE THEY ARE BLOWN WITH A LOUD SOUND THAT DOES NOT STOP UNTIL I SHUT THE CAR OFF, REMOVE THE KEY, AND OPEN THE DOOR. SOMETIMES THE SOUND KEEPS GOING EVEN AFTER THAT. THE TURN SIGNAL CLICK SOUND DOESN'T ADD UP TO THE LIGHT FLASHING ANYMORE. SOMETIMES THE AIR OR HEAT WILL NOT TURN ON AND THE LIGHTS TO THAT SYSTEM FLASH REPEATEDLY/QUICKLY ON AND OFF EVERY TIME THE CAR GLITCHES, DOOR OPENS OR CLOSES, OR CAR GETS LOCKED/UNLOCKED. THE IGNITION ALSO TRIES TO KEEP MY KEY, AND MY CAR WILL NOT TURN COMPLETELY OFF UNTIL I CAN GET MY KEY FROM THE IGNITION. I HAVE BEEN STUCK TRYING TO GET MY KEY OUT FOR A FEW MINUTES. THIS IS AFTER THE IGNITION RECALL WHICH DID NOT HELP IN ANY WAY POSSIBLE. THE RADIO NEEDS TO BE REPLACED, THE ISSUE AFFECTS MULTIPLE THINGS INCLUDING SAFETY. HOWEVER AT THIS POINT WITH ALL THE COMPLAINTS GM HAS NOT PERFORMED A RECALL AND IS STATING THAT THEY WILL NOT COVER THIS UNDER A KNOWN MANUFACTURER DESIGN FLAW. AND AS SUCH, I HAVE ALSO RECORDED THE ISSUE WHILE IT WAS HAPPENING AND READ A MYRIAD OF REVIEWS, COMPLAINTS AND WATCHED VIDEOS. I BELIEVE THAT GM AND CHEVROLET NEED TO BE HELD ACCOUNTABLE. KEY RECALL- SINCE THE KEY RECALL HAS BEEN DONE ABOUT 3 WEEKS AGO THE LAST WEEK WE HAVE BEEN HAVING ISSUES WITH THE CAR JUST DYING IN THE MIDDLE OF THE ROAD. IT LOSES ALL POWER AND SHUTS ITSELF OFF. I HAVE CONTACTED ONSTAR AND HAD THEM DO A DIAGNOSIS AND THEY COULDN'T FIND ANYTHING. THIS IS A HUGE SAFETY ISSUE. IT ALMOST COMPLETELY DIED IN RUSH HOUR TRAFFIC ON THE FREEWAY. MY CAR WAS PART OF THE IGNITION SWITCH RECALL IN 2014. FOR THE PAST WEEK, WHENEVER I PARK THE CAR I CAN NOT GET THE KEY OUT OF THE IGNITION. THE DEALERSHIP EXPLAINED THAT THE PROBLEM IS BEING CAUSED BY THE SHIFTER NOT COMMUNICATING TO THE CAR THAT IT'S IN "PARK" SO IT WON'T RELEASE THE KEY. THEY ALSO TOLD ME THAT SINCE MY CAR HAS 55,000 MILES, THE REPAIR WILL NOT BE COVERED UNDER WARRANTY BECAUSE IT'S ELECTRICAL AND CONSIDERED PART OF THE "TRIM". THEY INFORMED ME THAT THE REPAIR WOULD BE IN EXCESS OF $600.00. I AM EXTREMELY UNHAPPY BECAUSE I CAN'T AFFORD THIS REPAIR AND THIS IS MY ONLY MODE OF TRANSPORTATION. THE CAR IS PRETTY MUCH UN-DRIVABLE AT THIS POINT UNLESS I WANT TO GET STUCK SOMEWHERE.

CAR IGNITION KEEPS HANGING UP AND WILL NOT RELEASE KEY UPON SHUT OFF. TRAVELING BETWEEN STATES, A BURNING SMELL BEGAN TO COME THROUGH THE VENTS, THE CAR SHUT OFF WITHOUT WARNING TRAVELING 70 MPH ON THE HIGHWAY, REMAINING LIT AND APPEARING FULLY FUNCTIONING. IT STRUCK ME AS VERY FAMILIAR TO THE IGNITION ISSUE I HAVE HAD FOR THE WAY THE CAR SHUT OFF AND BEGAN TO ACT. UPON STOP AND ACTUALLY SWITCHING OFF, CAR WOULD TRY TO CRANK, BUT DID NOT CATCH. AFTER TOWING TO DEALERSHIP, CAR CRANKED AND DROVE AS USUAL. CHECK ENGINE LIGHT INDICATED LOW FUEL PRESSURE, AFTER DIAGNOSTICS FOR THE THIRD TIME THE DEALERSHIP IS STILL INSISTING NOTHING IS WRONG WITH THIS CAR. KEY RING HAS A TOTAL OF 3 KEYS AND LIGHTWEIGHT, DEFINITELY NOT WEIGHING DOWN THE IGNITION. THIS IS DEFINITELY COMPUTER RELATED, ELECTRICAL AND AFFECTING THE MECHANICAL ABILITY OF THE CAR AS WELL AS THE SAFETY OF THE DRIVER. I SEE NUMEROUS COMPLAINTS ABOUT THIS ISSUE ONLINE, NO RECALLS HAVE BEEN FOUND AND CHEVROLET IS NOT CORRECTING THIS DESPITE NUMEROUS CAR FIRES REPORTED AND ACCIDENTS PROBABLY CAUSED.

MY CHEVY CAMARO HAS A SAFETY RECALL ON THE KEY FOB IGNITION SYSTEM. THE KEY WAS FOUND FAULTY AND WOULD TURN OFF WHILE DRIVING. THE PROBLEM IS THAT THE PADDLE SHIFTER ON THE STEERING WHEEL STILL COMES IN CONTACT WITH THE KEY WHILE TURNING, THEREFORE TURNING OFF THE IGNITION. WHILE DRIVING, THE TAPSHIFT LEVER WAS CAUGHT IN THE KEY RING ATTACHED TO THE KEY IN THE IGNITION. I WAS TURNING ONTO THE HIGHWAY THAT THE SPEED LIMIT IS 65 MPH FROM A SIDE ROAD. I WAITED FOR ONCOMING TRAFFIC TO PASS AND THEN PULLED OUT. AS I PULLED OUT, TURNING RIGHT, MY CAR HAD A SUDDEN LOSS OF POWER. I TRIED TO RESTART AND IT WOULD NOT RESTART. I HAD DIFFICULTY PULLING OVER TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD DUE TO THE STEERING WHEEL BEING STIFF AND HARD TO HANDLE. AFTER I GOT TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD, I WAS ABLE TO RESTART MY CAR.
