Got trapped inside the car in 100 degree weather plus humidity. The car started the whole and operated perfectly fine while a message prompted on the dash. After doing a push to start that morning before work. The car runs for 10mins until it shuts off. That morning closed myself in to get ready to head to work. Remote not detected prompted. It said it three times that day. The last time it said it I was heading home after getting food. After a push to start that’s when it trapped me inside. Called 911 in Rocky Mount Nc. All they were worried about is a OnStar button. If I had to wait on them probably would’ve been dead. Cause they have to ask a multitude of questions. Rescuers never came. While OnStar was on speaker I thought to check to see if I had the app available to unlock the doors. Usually I don’t pay the bill for it thought the remote way was better. Due to the fact that the app takes a while to upload and could update at anytime as well as signal issues in certain places. Luckily it was setup on autopay. Although it did take a little while to load I was kind of at ease knowing OnStar was still on the speaker. Spoke with a Gm specialist about doing a recall. Instead expressed that, that’s if my vehicle is even eligible for an upgrade. Had suggested the installation of physical unlock levers instead they ignored the suggestion. This is a deadly safety hazard not only for myself but for others as well. Especially if they are not alert about it. When I found that the key fob wasn’t rechargeable inside the vehicle after being trapped inside it. I bought a battery from the Chevy company that was brand new but still a dead battery. Which caused me not to be able to start the vehicle at all. The only thing that help was recharging the battery on the Apple Watch charger by removing the battery from the key fob. Not everyone knows that and still isn’t a good and or safe reliable method to use cause of uncertainty of battery life. Let the car go back for this reason.

The blender door that controls the air flow will close all the way and causes fog build up on the front windshield constantly whether it's cold or hot outside. It also randomly changes from hot to cold during driving. This is a concern due to drivability with the windshield fogging up or the comfortability of driving in extreme conditions ie... Hot, cold, or rainy conditions keeping the temperature in the car to see. Thank you for your time.

While driving I experienced the wheel becoming more stiff unexpectedly while turning even slightly it would randomly get harder to turn. A power steering warning came on saying to be careful and right after the car started shaking really bad. Stop the car checked tires tie rods sway bar other steering components and nothing seemed abnormal. Was able to drive the rest of the way home but still had the random stiffness at the steering wheel.

This car originally was towed four times because of the failure of the fuel pump wiring harness to the PCM unit the fix was they put a fusible link between the fuel pump I believe and the PCU it still has problems it's intermittent it has issues of burning and melting the case or the plug-in is burnt in there we've addressed it with upper management of Chevrolet and they wanted us to take it to a different dealership and it was just a fiasco after that they said they fixed it they didn't fix it gave it back to us. I'm the father of the driver of the car I worry about my grandchildren and my son having a fire in that car I keep having problems we have to go get them and jump start them and figure the mess with the wires in the trunk so tired of this thing please help there has been consecutively people on the internet telling how to fix which General Motors should be responsible for this fix is pathetic how much I've read about it

The side detection system has failed. i know chevy has been having a lot of issues with this and now its hit my car. i demand a law suit or a shut down or a government enforced mandatory repair at no cost to customer.

After having the car for a year with regular maintenance and service, out of nowhere car was giving electrical problems that was making my car battery die and the ABS brake system giving out completely to the point where the vehicle has no brakes at all & engine failure due to cylinder #1 no compression, car kept giving codes p0300 , C0299 , B1517 , notice there’s an service bulletin from GM NO. Pi1178F is know as a common problem for LTG engines, also the only way I found out that the engine was damaged when I took the vehicle to the dealership for diagnostic and was told that one of the Cylinders had no compression which had came down the line that an Piston ring had internally damaged my engine, vehicle has 145K and was running smoothly until sudden electrical problems.

Driving back from several trips out of state. On I15, the car shut completely off, while moving. Everything powers off. Car still in motion. Have to push the ignition button to turn back on and resume power and turned the car back on. The has happened now 5 times since i bought the car brand new in 2017. The dealer has never been able to reproduce issue. Are my charging cables for phones and ipod shorting out the car?? I dont know. It's the only thing that might be an issue.

"Shift to Park " message on my DIC, apparently this is an ongoing issue with Chevrolet and GMC models. My son was trapped in the car for 15 minutes because the lock would not release, he kept turning the car on, shifting to D and and returning to park without much success. Now he opens the door before he turns the car off which is not safe.

When I place my car in park, I get a message on my display that says “shift to park”. Once that message comes on, I cannot turn my vehicle off and have to keep restarting my car until the message goes away, so it does not drain my battery completely. It happens every time I shift to park.

The contact owns a 2017 Chevrolet Camaro. The contact stated while his wife was stopped at a traffic light, the light turned green and the vehicle lost motive power and stalled. The contact stated that his wife was unable to restart the vehicle. The contact stated that when he attempted to jump start the vehicle, the vehicle remained off, but the passenger’s side rear taillight illuminated, and the windshield wipers engaged independently. The contact was able to restart the vehicle after three attempts. There were no warning lights illuminated. The vehicle was taken to a dealer who diagnosed that the battery had failed. The vehicle was then taken to Connell Chevrolet (2828 Harbor Blvd, Costa Mesa, CA 92626) who diagnosed that the battery needed to be replaced. The battery was replaced, and the dealer test drove the vehicle but informed the contact that they could not duplicate the failure. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and a case was opened. The approximate failure mileage was 42,767.

THE CONVERTIBLE TOP HAD A RECALL ON MY CAR. I TOOK IT TO THE DEALERSHIP AND THEY KEPT THE CAR FOR A WHILE AND REPLACED THE TOP BUT IMMEDIATELY AFTER I TOOK IT HOME THE MECHANICAL MECHANISM BROKE AND HAVEN'T BEEN ABLE TO USE THE TOP AND NO ONE HAS CONTACTED ME TO REPLACE THE RECALLED TOP AND MOTOR TO THE CONVERTIBLE TOP PORTION

THE CAR SHUT OFF AND THEN WOULDN'T START. HAD ENGINE REPLACED BECAUSE THE ENGINE WAS LOCKED UP. RECENTLY RECEIVED THE VEHICLE AND GAUGE CLUSTER SHUTS DOWN COMPLETELY WHILE DRIVING VEHICLE ALONG WITH INFOTAINMENT SYSTEM. WHEN IT TURNS BACK ON SCREEN SHOWS: SERVICE STIBILLITRAC, ABS SYSTEM, BATTERY SYSTEM, ENGINE OIL LOW, ENGINE REDUCED POWER, REDUCE CLUTCH USE, AND CHECK ENGINE LIGHT. HAD NO POWER STEERING, NO ACCELERATION, AND HAD LOSS OF BRAKES.

I TOOK MY 2017 CHEVY CAMARO TO TOM BELL CHEVY LOCATED IN REDLANDS CALIFORNIA THEY REPLACED THE SOFT TOP ON MY CAR BECAUSE OF A RECALL. WHEN I GOT HOME I NOTICED THAT THE SOFT TOP WAS MAKING NOISES WHEN IT WAS GOING UP AND AS I WAS CLOSING IT. WHEN I LOOKED TO SEE WHAT THE NOISE WAS, I SAW THAT THE ARMS THAT RAISE THE SOFT TOP UP AND DOWN WERE COMPLETELY BROKEN. I CONTACTED TOM BELL CHEVY IMMEDIATELY AND WAS TOLD TO CONTACT THE 'UPHOLSTERY GUY' WHO I'VE NEVER MET IN MY LIFE. THEY GAVE ME A NUMBER TO CALL AND TOLD ME THAT THE PERSON OR COMPANY THEY USED TO REPLACE THE SOFT TOP THAT WAS RECALLED ON MY 2017 CAMARO WOULD COME TO MY HOME AND FIX THE ISSUE. IT HAS BEEN NOW MONTHS AND NO ONE HAS EVER CAME TO FIX IT NOR HAS TOM BELL CHEVY IN REDLANDS CALIFORNIA CALLED ME BACK. I E LEFT VOICEMAIL AFTER VOICEMAIL, EMAILED THEM MANY TIMES AND SENT TEXTS AND CALLED THE UPHOLSTERY PEOPLE BUT NO ONE HAS RETURNED MY CALLS OR EMAILS. THE VEHICLE IS DAMAGED AND IT WAS DONE BY WHOMEVER DID THE RECALL REPLACEMENT ON THE SOFT TOP. ALSO, THE SOFT TOP THAT MY VEHICLE WAS REPLACED WITH IS NASTY, VERY VERY CHEAP MATERIAL AND WHILE DRIVING THE CAR IT FEELS LIKE THE ENTIRE CAR IS GOING TO FLIP OVER BECAUSE OF HOW THIN AND CHEAP MATERIAL THE SOFT TOP WAS REPLACED WITH. CAR WAS TAKEN 2 TIMES TO DEALERSHIP FOR SERVICE, AT FIRST TIME THEY REPLACED ENGINE LIFTERS, AT SECOND VISIT THEY WERE UNABLE TO DUPLICATE CONCERN. CAR HAD CONTINUED TO SHOW SAME SYMPTOMS. CONTACTED GENERAL MOTORS CUSTOMER SERVICE, AND THEY OPENED A CASE # [XXX] THEY STATED WILL CALL BACK. DAYS LATER CR ACTED AGAIN, NO POWER, ENGINE MISFIRE, CHECK ENGINE LIGHT ON AND NO START CONDITION, AND FINALLY CACHED ON FIRE ON 01/10/2020. ALL SYMPTOMS WERE PRESENT WHEN CAR MOVING AND WHEN CHARGING GAS FOR EXAMPLE HAD TO SHUT ENGINE OFF, IT WILL NOT RESTART, LIKE BATTERY WAS DEAD, CALLED ROAD ASSISTANCE TRIPLE A, AND DIAGNOSED BATTERY TO BE FINE.THEY STATETED CAR HAS ELECTRICAL ISSUES. AS I'M DRIVING AT 55MPH OR HIGHER, ALL OF THE SUDDEN THE CAR SHUTS OFF AND COMES RIGHT BACK ON AND ALL YOU SEE ARE ALL THE DASHBOARD LIGHTS TURN ON AND OFF ALL AT ONCE WHICH IS SCARY BECAUSE WHEN THAT HAPPENS, YOU HAVE NO CONTROL OF THE CAR BECAUSE ONCE THE CAR SHUTS OFF, FOR THAT ONE OR TWO SECONDS IT DOES THIS YOU HAVE NO CONTROL AND THE STEERING WHEEL LOCKS ON YOU. THE CAR WILL ALSO NOT ALLOW YOU TO PRESS ON THE GAS PEDDLE TO MAKE THE SPEED GO UP, AT TIME WHEN I DEPRESS THE GAS PEDDLE, THE CAR HESITATES AND DOES NOT WANT TO ACCELERATE AND THEN ALL OF THE SUDDEN IT ACCELERATES AT A VERY HIGH SPEED WITHOUT YOU CONTROLLING IT.
