Highlighting a materials defect with the rear crankshaft reluctor ring on the 2.8 LWN Duramax, installed in the Army Infantry Squad Vehicle and the 2015-2023 Chevrolet Colorado, from which it is based. When the ring delaminates, due to age, the vehicle engine shuts off and no start, rendered dead lined, as the ECU can no longer "see" the crank position. Requiring the transmission to be removed to rectify the issue. I was pulling a trailer up a hill on the freeway when my truck down shifted, in an effort to slow down for a bus that was merging unexpectedly and the truck died at speed. The increase in RPM initiated an unplanned, instant disassembly of the ring due to cracking on the material and increased centrifugal force, shutting off the engine without warning, at speed. Again, just dead stick to the shoulder, towing a trailer, on the freeway. That could have been bad... Had truck towed to GM dealer, for a month-long repair.
transmission is not shfting properly.Truck losses speed and shutters when trying to accelerate.Difficulty climbing hills.Especially dangerous when merging with traffic.Only 33,000 miles on my truck.GM should recall to address this much complained about issue.
Transmission oil leak with only 60,000 miles just bought from a dealership as is 3 days ago and was not informed of the issue
Clunking sound coming from rear end upon normal acceleration. When I take my foot off of the brake pedal, and depress the gas pedal, A loud clunk appears to come from the differential. If I coast first and then depress the gas pedal, it is not as pronounced. When you slow down to make a corner, and resume speed exiting the corner it is also pronounced. It should be noted that I am a safe adult driver (safe driver module installed in truck) and have 35,800 miles. My truck has always been serviced by my Chevrolet dealership; I am an older gentlemen and never drive recklessly. I'd like to think the rear differential should not be making a clunking sound at this point in its history
Suddenly losing power, shifting hard, slipping between gears, causing shuddering while driving, and surging forward while accelerating.
Key can't be removed when the truck is in park. Locks go up and down when vehicle is moving. Transmission stuck in 3rd gear. Stabilitrack and traction control indicator lights appear on dashboard. Exhaust brake and traction control switches don't work.
At around the 105k mile range the truck would make a gear whine sound and shudder between gears at around the 50mph range, speeding up or slowing down a bit would fix the issue. By 110k miles the truck was making the gear whine sound at speeds over 10 miles an hour studdering at every gear change. I took it to a mechanic who said there were no TSB's for the truck and suggested doing a trans oil dump and filter replacement. The trans filter was replaced, and 7 quarts Mobil1 LV ATF blue label oil was put into the transmission. The studdering has reduced to just at the 50mph range but the gear whine sound has if anything gotten louder.
In [XXX] I took my truck in for oil change, inspection and 3rd complaint of shaking, and shuddering, lurching at a stop, they told me my transmission was broken, they would have to order the part and their was no ETA on when they would get it. I was told there were NONE in the tri-state area from another dealership. We are a one (1) car family and Jim Trenary Chevy said they don’t give out loaners, therefore we had to rent a car at 370.00 a week. Here it is January 15 and we are STILL renting a car. They finally got the part sometime last week, but WE NEED HELP! We have spent over 5,000 in rental car fees and GM will not reimburse us until we return the rental car, even though we have paid cash every week, and we’re have had to borrow from my husbands future paychecks. WE ARE BROKE. We have to pay the deductible of 500.00 when it is finally fixed, plus, during the snow storm last week someone side swiped my rental car, and I have to give Enterprise 1500.00 when I turn in the car for my deductible from insurance. I read there is a 65 million$ law suit pending to GM for these faulty transmissions, yet they don’t feel responsible to pay our expenses for something that IS THEIR PROBLEM, NOT OURS, but they have made it my problem, and I am shouldering all the financial burden of this, their faulty transmission. WE NEED HELP, We are now broke and now can not afford to pay for the rental, or our repair deductible, or our car payment. We don’t make that kind of money. My husband is the only one that works full time. WE NEED HELP, and no one wants to listen or seems to care. WE ARE BROKE! Thank you for listening. transmission shudders from 20 to 60 under light acceleration. took to dealer and said that needed different oil. dealer stated that a common issue with these vehicles. Cost $500 to replace oil to proper oil.
shutter or vibration issue regardless of speed even when cruise control is active. took it to the dealer and they said the wrong fluid was installed at the manufacturer. also told me my extended warranty would not cover it since it was not a mechanical issue. i saw that GM has issued a service bulletin 18-NA-355. however, i have yet to discover from any online account that this fixed the problem. why is there no recall for this common issue.
The vehicle stuttered upon acceleration between 20mph and 35mph. After the 2018 Chevy Colorado was taken into the Chevy dealership for inspection, the torque converter failed at roughly 76,000 miles. A bad torque converter can potentially cause an accident. It can lead to engine revving issues, sudden speed changes, which can be dangerous while driving. The torque converter failed and left metal shavings in the transmission causing the transmission to need replaced as well. This was diagnosed by the Chevy dealership and has a repair ticket of over thirteen thousand dollars. ( $13,000.00 ) which most people can't afford to absorb. After a quick Google search, this appears to be a common problem. There should be a recall to fix this issue.
What component or system failed or malfunctioned, and is it available for inspection upon request? It appears to be a piston failure, as there is compression and diesel in the crankcase. Engine is still in the vehicle but once removed it will be available for inspection if needed. How was your safety or the safety of others put at risk? Power loss on a busy highway requiring lane changes without available engine power is dangerous. Has the problem been reproduced or confirmed by a dealer or independent service center? Not yet Has the vehicle or component been inspected by the manufacturer, police, insurance representatives or others? No Were there any warning lamps, messages or other symptoms of the problem prior to the failure, and when did they first appear? P0266 code and engine light set immediately after the failure. But there were no warnings prior
“Service trailer brake system” won’t turn over but will crank Transmission shifting very hard around 3rd and 4th gear
The key will not come out of the ignition when the vehicle is in park. This presents a safety issue where the driver cannot leave the vehicle because the key is stuck in the ignition. The problem has been reproduced by the dealer and found to be a faulty transmission control assembly. The faulty transmission control assembly has now been replaced twice on my vehicle, once at 19,000 miles and again at 33,000 miles. There were not any warnings or messages, just one day the key won't come out of the ignition.
When accelerating there is a shake. From diagnostic it seems there is an issue with the torque converter.
Transmission is slipping and vibrates while driving. Delayed acceleration.
While driving, there is noticeable “shudder” that seems to feel like an issue with the transmission when it is shifting (automatic transmission). Research online shows this to be a consistent issue and concern with many owners of the 2018 Chevy Colorado. Having this shudder has not had a solution by the several mechanic shops I’ve been to. Nobody seems to know what is causing this issue, but with many owners having this same problem there must be something that Chevrolet can do to resolve this issue. We bought the vehicle brand new in 2018, and it is now paid off, but this shudder while driving has happened since we have owned the vehicle. It seems to be more prevalent while driving between 30 mph to 60 mph. The shudder happens during ever drive we take. We have the vehicle maintenance performed on all of the recommended intervals for oil, fluids, tires, brakes, etc. This is definitely something that should be a recall.
Transmission is shuddering, some jerking starts and stops.
clunking in the transmission, when slowing down it feels like you got rear-ended. Then when accelerating from a stop the transmission seems to slip and then catch and then engages and shoots you forward, feels like it surges forward. TSB to replace the transmission fluid was done at about 18k miles, it didn't fix its still doing it now. It did it since day one from the factory and the TSB didn't correct it.
Car begins to shudder intermetiently if driven over 50 MP due to faulty factor installed transmission fluid, can cause panic when unaware of what is happening. Also can marginally effect handling.
The contact owns a 2018 Chevrolet Colorado. The contact stated while driving 40-60 MPH, the vehicle would shudder while depressing the accelerator pedal. There was no warning light illuminated. The contact stated that she was able to continue driving. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic, where it was test driven and diagnosed with transmission failure. The mechanic referred the contact to the dealer. The vehicle was then taken to the dealer, where the transmission fluid was flushed and replaced with HD transmission fluid per GM Technical Service Bulletin Number: 18-NA-355. The dealer then advised the contact to drive 500-1,000 miles to allow the new HD transmission fluid to circulate the transmission. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 22,589.

I have a 2018 Colorado 4x4 with 51K miles. Purchased with 28k. When driving at normal highway speed, get drive train shudder when increase torque is needed (hill, ramp, etc.). Only happens in overdrive. When tow/haul is activated shudder does not occur. It feels like transmission and/or drive shaft is about to fall off. I have not attempted repair due to numerous concerns voiced on this site and class action lawsuit now in progress. No warning lights or messages.
I have the 2018 Chevy Colorado, I got it at 22k miles and it had a slight shudder, it got a bit worse so I brought in to a dealership and had the transmission fluid changed at 50k miles. It made it better but can still feel the shutter and a slight jerk while shifting yet
when traveling at any speed usually between 1200-2200 RPM there is a rumble strip/ vibration feeling coming from the vehicle most notably around 35-45 MPH but happens at all speeds. I took it to my local mechanic and it was not a suspension, tire or drive shaft issue. i was informed it seems to be coming from the transmission. upon looking on other forums about this issue it seems to be a common problem with the 8 speed transmissions on the Colorado's. i still have been unable to fix this issue. No indicator lights are on, engine runs fine its only when traveling when the engine is between 1200-2200 RPM
My 2018 Colorado Z71 (40,000 miles) suffers from transmission shudder intermittently. Dealer took it for a 14 mile test drive and was unable to duplicate. Blamed it on the tires. Refused to flush transmission fluid in accordance with GM TSB 18-NA-355. Shudder becomes worse when trailering boat. Known issue to GM, however, dealers refuse to perform the solution provided by GM in the absence of a recall.
problems shifting shaking and vibration at higher speeds very noticeable while pulling a trailer 11449007 reference number
My 2018 Chevrolet Colorado is having transmission issues. It started at 90,000 miles and is now getting worse. The transmission stutters at various speeds and is very pronounced while going up an incline. I have taken it in several times to a chevy dealership only to be told nothing is wrong and no warning lights are on. Finally and just this week I have a dealership that is saying a code came up saying the transmission fluid needs to be change since they receive a service technical bulletin saying the wrong transmission fluid was original installed and needs to be replaced. The repairs are at my costs and it just doesn't seem right. Is there anything I can do?
The contact owns a 2018 Chevrolet Colorado. The contact stated that while driving approximately 35 MPH, the vehicle shuddered and started shaking abnormally. There were no warning lights illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer where the transmission was flushed and the vehicle was diagnosed. The contact was informed that the torque convertor needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure however, no additional assistance was provided. The approximate failure mileage was 82,630.

transmission indicated drive when actual gear was reverse 05
Ignition key gets stuck and will not come out of switch when vehicle is put in park and turned off. Must restart vehicle several times and engage transmission from park to drive or neutral several times before the key will eventually come out
It trys to constantly shif gears and when it does finnally shifts it starts to shutter bad have to pull off the road and shut it off sometimes it will stop it and sometimes it doesn't it very annoying and can't be safe or good I know that this specific transmission has a recall but for some reason my truck didn't I haven't even made my first car payment I noticed it the very first day I took it home the service porter said I had it in for wheel drive when it wasn't than blamed it on the tires .the dash lights go out .the radio changes stations Werth out me even touching the steering wheel
The contact owns a 2018 Chevrolet Colorado. The contact stated while driving approximately 45-65 MPH, the vehicle would shudder. The dealer was made aware of the failure and referred the contact to the manufacturer. The vehicle was not diagnosed nor repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and opened a case. The manufacturer referred the contact to the NHTSA to file a complaint. The failure mileage was approximately 65,000.
Mileage: 65,000
Upon acceleration the truck felt as if we were riding over rumble strips. No lights/warnings. Although this was ongoing whenever driving, the truck continued to operate normally otherwise. Searching the internet noted a problem with this year/make/model with the transmission - one search result suggested submitting the information here. The dealer flushed the fluid today and told us it might take up to 200 miles for the shudder/rumble to stop.
When driving over 40MPH there is a very pronounced Shuttering/Vibration that occurs. Assume it's caused by the transmission based on many complaints I've read on the internet.
IGNITION SWITCH FULLY WON'T TURN TO OFF POSITION. ENGINE DOES TURN OFF, BUT KEY CAN'T BE REMOVED. HAPPENS FREQUENTLY AND SO FAR, STARTING IT, PUTTING IT INTO DRIVE OR REVERSE AND MOVE A BIT, THEN BACK INTO PARK WILL WORK. AT SOME THAT MIGHT NOT WORK AND I'D HAVE TO LEAVE THE KEY IN THE IGNITION AND LEAVE THE TRUCK UNATTENDED. I COULD STILL LOCK IT, BUT IF SOME KIDS SEE IT OR BREAK INTO IT, THEY COULD DRIVE IT AWAY. CHEVY KNOWS ABOUT THIS. THERE IS A SERVICE BULLETIN #PI1429B.

2018 CHEVY COLORADO ZR2, 21000 MILES. ENGINE SHUT DOWN WHILE DRIVING IN MOTION ON ROAD. RESTARTED TWICE AND SHUTDOWN AGAIN TWICE. CHECK END ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON AND TRACTION CONTROL SAID IT WAS DISABLED. STARTED THIRD TIME AND PUT IN DRIVE. WOULDN'T PUT POWER FROM ENGINE TO DRIVE TRAIN. 4TH START, PUT IN DRIVE AND LIMPED BACK HOME. WAS TOWED TO CLOSEST DEALER AND THEY CLEARED ERROR CODES WITH DIAGNOSING. I SCANNED CODES BEFORE BEING TOWED AND ERROR CODES WERE U0700 AND U0100. AFTER 3 DAYS OF NO COMMS FROM 1ST DEALER HAD 2ND DEALER PICK UP VIA TOW TRUCK. THEY SAID 1ST DEALER CLEARED CODES AND COULD NOT DUPLICATE. PICKED UP TRUCK AND RAN FINE FOR A WEEK, THEN HAD SAME ISSUE ON BUSY ROAD. HAD TO RESTART, ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON AND LIMPED BACK HOME. SCANNED CODES AND RECEIVED SAME U0700, U0100. DEALER IS HAVING TOW TRUCK PICK UP TRUCK TO DIAGNOSE AND REPAIR. THIS IS A SERIOUS ISSUE CAUSING TRUCK TO SHUT OFF WHILE DRIVING AND NOT KNOWING IF IT WILL RESTART AND HAVE POWER TO DRIVETRAIN.

WHEN TURNING THE KEY INTO THE IGNITION POSITION THE VEHICLE WILL GIVE A RANDOM DOWNSHIFT UNLESS THE BRAKE PEDAL IS PRESSED DOWN. ALSO EXPERIENCING A ROUGH DOWNSHIFT BETWEEN 2ND AND 1ST GEAR WHEN STOPPING AS SMOOTHLY AS POSSIBLE. VEHICLE AS BEEN IN AND OUT THE DEALERSHIP WITH THE PROBLEM STILL EXISTING.

ABOUT A YEAR AGO, I STARTED GETTING A SLIGHT SHUDDER IN MY TRANSMISSION SO I TOOK IT TO THE DEALER FOR REPAIR. THEY COULDN'T GET IT TO SHUDDER. SEVERAL TIMES I'LL BE DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD AT OR AROUND 45MPH AND THE TRUCK WILL START SHUDDERING SO BAD I FEEL LIKE I HAVE TO PULL OFF THE ROAD. EVERY TIME I TAKE IT TO THE DEALER FOR REPAIR I END UP LOSING MY TRUCK FOR A DAY AND THEY TELL ME THEY CAN FIND ANYTHING WRONG EVEN THOUGH THIS IS A KNOWN ISSUE AND THERE IS A TSB OUT TO FIX THE ISSUE.
Mileage: 44,000
WHILE DRIVING ON CITY STREET AND HIGHWAY, TRANSMISSION SHIFTING AT SPEEDS OF 25MPH,45MPH,55MPH START VIBRATING ALSO COMING TO A STOP FEEL LIKE A REAR END BUMP.
THE TRUCK VIBRATES , STUTTERS SOME TIMES WHEN DRIVING. WENT TO DEALER HE SAID IT HAS BEEN HAPPENING IN TRUCKS. HE SAID THICKER TRANS OIL SHOULD FIX IT. IS THIS JUST A BAND AID FOR A BIGGER PROBLEM. WOULD LIKE YOUR VIEW. THANKS.

I AM WRITING TO INFORM YOU OF A SAFETY ISSUE WITH MY 2018 CHEVROLET COLORADO. WHEN PUTTING THE VEHICLE IN PARK THE IGNITION KEY WILL NOT RELEASE. CHEVROLET DOC# 4811390 DOCUMENTS A FLEET WIDE PROBLEM WITH THE COLORADO. THERE HAS BEEN NO RE-CALL ISSUED BY CHEVROLET TO CORRECT THIS SAFETY ISSUE. I GOT MY COLORADO REPAIRED AT A COST OF $642.15. I LOOKED AT THE SHIFTER THAT WAS REMOVED FROM THE TRUCK, AND FOUND THAT THE MICRO SWITCH THAT ACTIVATES WHEN THE VEHICLE IS PLACED IN PARK HAD A BROKEN MOUNTING POST CAUSING IT TO BE MISALIGNED. I HAVE INCLUDED PICTURES OF THE SWITCH AND MOUNTING POST. *JS

MY COLORADO HAS COMPLETELY SHUT DOWN/POWERED OFF WHEN MAKING A RIGHT HAND TURN. TWICE NOW. I'LL BE COMING TO A COMPLETE STOP, ACCELERATING THROUGH THE TURN AND THEN ALL OF THE SUDDEN, WITHOUT WARNING, THE TRUCK LOSES ALL POWER. NO FLASHING DASH, NOTHING. I HAVE TO COAST TO THE SHOULDER OF THE ROAD, TURN ON THE HAZARDS, PUT IN PARK, AND RESTART THE VEHICLE. THIS HAS HAPPENED TWICE NOW. FROM SOME ONLINE FORUMS I'VE READ, THE PROBLEM ONLY SEEMS TO GET WORSE AND HAS HAPPENED TO OTHERS AROUND 30-40 MPH. MY CAR IS STILL UNDER MANUFACTURING WARRANTY FOR ANOTHER 500 OR SO MILES. I TOOK MY TRUCK INTO A CERTIFIED CHEVY REPAIR SHOP AND AFTER A WEEK OF TROUBLESHOOTING AND TRYING TO RECREATE THE PROBLEM, THEY HAVE FOUND "NOTHING" WRONG WITH THE CAR. IF THIS DOESN'T GET FIXED AND CONTINUES TO OCCUR, IT'S ONLY A MATTER OF TIME BEFORE AN ACCIDENT HAPPENS.

IT HAS AN INTERMITTENT SHUDDER AT NO PARTICULAR SPEED AND A KIND OF TUGGING AT SLOW ACCELERATION SPEEDS, LIKE A QUICK UPSHIFT AND THEN DOWN AGAIN.

MY 2018 CHEVROLET ZR2 STARTED TO HARD SHIFT BETWEEN FIRST AND SECOND GEAR. IT ALSO SOUNDS LIKE IT IS RUNNING OVER RUMBLE STRIPS WHEN DRIVING BETWEEN 50-75MPH. WHEN I RESEARCHED THIS ISSUE, I FOUND THOUSANDS OF ISSUES ONLINE THAT MATCHED THIS PROBLEM 100 PERCENT. IT IS CALLED THE CHEVY SHAKE OR THE GMC SHUTTER. MIND YOU, THE DEALERSHIP VERIFIED THAT THEY HAVE BEEN SENT KITS FROM GM TO CORRECT THESE ISSUES. IT'S CALLED THE TCC SHUDDER.
Mileage: 80,346
THE TRANSMISSION IN MY TRUCK SHAKES, SHIMMIES, VIBRATES, SHUTTERS WHEN DRIVING AND SHAKES, SHIMMIES VIBRATES EVEN AT IDLE. I TOOK THE TRUCK TO THE DEALERSHIP AND THEY REMOVED ALL OF THE TRANSMISSION FLUID AND REPLACED WITH NEW FLUID AS PER CHEVROLET CORPORATE MANDATE. THE TRUCK REMAINS IN SHAKING, SHIMMIES, SHUTTERS AND VIBRATING.

TRANSMISSION SHUDDERING. - IDENTIFIED VARIABLE SPEED OCCURRENCE COULD HAPPEN AT 25 OR 65. UNRELATED TO TIRES/STEERING OR TO SHOCK CAVITATION OR ROUGH ROADS. HAPPENS ON SMOOTH OR ROUGH ROADS. VEHICLE HAS NOT BEEN OFF-ROAD. VARIED INCONSISTENCY. MORE APPARENT WHEN ENGINE IS COLD SHIFTING FROM 1ST TO 2ND TO 3RD THEN WILL DISSIPATE. SHIFTS HARD 1ST TO 2ND AND SOMETIMES 3RD WHEN ENGINE IS COLD. ONCE WARM SHIFTING IS SMOOTHER BUT SHUDDERING STILL OCCURS.

2018 COLORADO DEVELOPS A SHUTTER WHEN MOVING UP AN INCLINE FROM SPEEDS OF 45 TO 60 MPH ON HIGHWAYS. TRUCK HAS 33,000 MILES 10,000 MILES I PLACED ON THE TRUCK THE REMAINDER WAS WHILE THE TRUCK WAS PART OF A FLEET. JUST NOTICED THIS SHUTTER AT 32,000 MILES. THOUGH IT WAS TIRES , BUT TURNED OUT NOT TO BE THE ISSUE.
THE TRANSMISSION HAS A VERY HARD DOWN SHIFT WHEN COMING TO A STOP. ALMOST FEELS LIKE YOU'VE BEEN HIT FROM BEHIND. THE FASTER YOU WERE GOING BEFORE STOPPING THE HARDER IT DOWNSHIFTS. WHEN TAKING VEHICLE IN WE WERE TOLD THERE IS NO FIX FOR THIS. ALSO WHEN USING REMOTE START ONCE YOU PUT THE KEY IN THE TRANSMISSION JUMPS. WE WERE TOLD NOT TO BRING THE TRUCK BACK FOR THIS ISSUE.
TRANSMISSION EXHIBITS INTERMITTENT HESITATION, JERKING AND SHAKING WHEN TAKING OFF FROM A STOP AND REVERSE LURCHING WHILE AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS. THE TRANSMISSION FLUID HAS BEEN CHANGED PER THE BULLETIN WITHOUT SUCCESS. THE TRUCK HAS BEEN TO THE DEALERSHIP 4 TIMES WHERE THEY TYPICALLY REPORT "UNABLE TO DUPLICATE PROBLEM" AND THEREFORE DO NOTHING. THE LATEST COMMENT FROM GM CUSTOMER CARE WAS TO BLAME ALL THESE ISSUES ON MY TIRES (36000 MILES). LOSS OF POWER EQUALS A TIRE ISSUE?

SHUTTERS AND SHAKES FOR LONG PERIODS WHILE DRIVING. GROWLS AND MAKES A LOW RUMBLING WHILE SHAKING THE ENTIRE TRUCK. DURING THIS VIBRATION WHICH HAPPENS ALL THE TIME ITS HARD TO HEAR THE PERSON TALKING NEXT TO YOU OR THE RADIO IF ITS ON LOW. TOOK TO DEALER AND THEY SAID THEY ALL DO THAT; IT'S COMMON WITH THESE; NOTHING TO DO.
Mileage: 8,000
WHEN COMING TO STOP FROM ANY SPEED THE TRUCK DOWNSHIFT HARD THAT IT FEELS LIKE YOU'VE BEEN HIT FROM BEHIND. ALSO WHEN USING REMOTE START AND YOU PUT THE KEY IN THE IGNITION AND TURN IT ON THE TRANSMISSION DOES A LITTLE JUMP LIKE THE TRUCK IS GOING INTO GEAR. WE HAVE TAKEN IT IN FOR REPAIRS 3 TIMES AND THE LAST TIME WE WERE TOLD THE ISSUE COULD NOT BE FIX AND THAT IT WAS NORMAL.
Mileage: 22,000
TRANSMISSION HAS HORRIBLE SHIFTING. HARD SHIFTING AT LOW SPEEDS AND WHEN DECELERATING (FEELS LIKE I WAS REAR ENDED). TORQUE CONVERTER WAS REPLACED. FROM LOW SPEED, IT DOESN'T DOWNSHIFT TO ACCELERATE UNLESS THE PEDAL IS FLOORED. ALSO, THERE IS HESITATION/PEDAL LAG FROM A STANDSTILL, WHICH MAKES IT UNPREDICTABLE WHEN TRYING TO PULL INTO TRAFFIC. THAT PART IS A REAL SAFETY CONVERN.

TRUCK SHAKES AT SPEEDS ABOVE 55 MPH. AT 65 MPH MY PHONE WILL FLY OFF THE MAGNET MOUNT ON THE WINDSHIELD; WATER AND ICE SHAKE AS IF BOILING AT 70 MPH AND ABOVE. SOMETIMES THE VEHICLE FEELS LIKE IT IS COMING APART IT SHAKES SO HARD. WHEN THE VEHICLE WAS TWO MONTHS OLD IT STOPPED ON A CITY STREET IN ARLINGTON VA AND WAS UNDRIVEABLE. AFTER A TIMEOUT PERIOD OF 10-15 MINUTES IT WAS DRIVEABLE BUT AT 10 MPH IT WHINED AS IF THE TRANSMISSION OR ENGINE WAS GOING TO BLOW UP. AT 20-25 MPH IT WAS A SCREAMING DEMON AND HAD TO BE TOWED TO THE DEALERSHIP (BROWNS) WHO FOUND NO RECORD IN CAR COMPUTER SYSTEM OF FAULT. BATTERY OR ELECTRICAL SYSTEM WAS COMPLETELY DEAD ON 7 JUNE 2019 WITH ABOUT 10,200 MILES. DEALERSHIP KNEW I HAD APPOINTMENT AND I ASKED FOR TOW BUT THEY DON'T PROVIDE A TOW FROM REED-LALLIER. ONSTAR WAS OF LITTLE HELP SO I CALLED MY USAA INSURANCE ROADSIDE ASSISTANCE TO GET TRUCK JUMP STARTED; I MISSED APPOINTMENT AND THEY CANCELED APPOINTMENT THAT MORNING WHICH WAS TO CHECK FOR SHAKING AND ALSO 2ND OIL CHANGE. GMCUSTOMERCARE TOOK MY CONCERNS AND ASKED MY RESOLUTION WHICH WAS CHECK BATTERY FOR BAD CELL, BE AWARE OF FIRST TRANSMISSION PROBLEM IN ARLINGTON VA AND THE CURRENT PROBLEM OF VEHICLE SHAKING. I AM A RETIRED PARATROOPER WITH VERIFIABLE SEVERE NERVE DAMAGE TO MY BACK AND LOWER LEGS AND THIS VEHICLE CAUSES SERIOUS PHYSICAL AND NEUROLOGICAL PROBLEMS WHEN DRIVING HIGHWAY SPEEDS.

I HAVE A 2018 CHEVROLET COLORADO LT 4WD CREW CAB. MULTIPLE TIMES ON A COLD START THE ENGINE IS MISFIRING. THE CHECK ENGINE LIKE COMES ON, THE VSA, AND T/C LIGHTS ALL COME ON AND A NOTIFICATION ON THE DASH SAYING STABILITRAK IS DISABLED. THE VEHICLE SHAKES TERRIBLY. THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT WILL FLASH AND THEN GO SOLID. I AM AN AUTOMOTIVE TECHNICIAN. I KNOW THAT A MISFIRE SHOULD SET A HARD DTC. WHEN THE VEHICLE IS TURNED OFF AND STARTED SEVERAL HOURS LATER THERE IS NO CHECK ENGINE LIGHT OR ANY OTHER LIGHT ON. THE DEALERSHIP IN MARYSVILLE, OH HAD MY TRUCK FOR 3 DAYS AND TOLD ME THEY CLEANED A BUNCH OF TERMINALS AT SEVERAL CONNECTORS. WHATEVER THAT IS SUPPOSED TO DO. THEY SAID THEY STARTED THE VEHICLE SEVERAL TIMES AFTER AND EVERYTHING WAS GOOD. THE NEXT DAY AFTER I PICKED THE TRUCK UP, IT DID THE SAME EXACT THING! EXTREMELY FRUSTRATING! I KNOW A CONTINUOUS MISFIRE LET'S UNBURNED FUEL INTO THE CATALYTIC CONVERTER WHICH LEADS TO PREMATURE BREAKDOWN OF THE CATALYST. SO MY QUESTION IS WHAT IS BEING DONE ABOUT THESE ISSUES? ANOTHER ISSUE IS WITH THE TRANSMISSION. ON A COLD START THERE IS A CLUNK NOISE. THEN WHEN YOU ARE DRIVING AT CRUISING SPEED AND YOU LET OFF THE THROTTLE AND DEPRESS THROTTLE AGAIN THERE IS A SHUDDER. ALSO, WHEN YOU COME TO A COMPLETE STOP THE VEHICLE TRIES TO JOLT FORWARD. THIS IS EXTREMELY CONCERNING ESPECIALLY ON A VEHICLE WITH ROUGHLY 18,000 MILES ON IT. THIS NEEDS TO BE ADDRESSED PROMPTLY!!

CHEVY COLORADO A BAD VIBRATION IN DRIVETRAIN. TOOK TRUCK TO DEALER WHO SAID IT WAS TORQUE CONVERTER PROBLEM. IT HAS BEEN AT DEALER FOR 9 DAYS BECAUSE THEY ARE DOING 9 VEHICLES A DAY FOR THIS PROBLEM. SUPPOSEDLY THEY ARE GOING TO CHANGE TORQUE CONVERTOR, OTHERS THEY JUST CHANGE THE OIL IN TORQUE CONVERTOR. THIS IS DONE APPROXMATELY 9 TIMES A WEEK AT THIS ONE DEALER, ROSS DOWNING IN HAMMOND, LA. THIS IS THE 8SP TRANS. THAT IS USED IN SEVERAL GM REAR DRIVE CARS AND TRUCKS. MY TRUCK ONLY HAS 6300 MILES ON IT. WHEN TRYING TO PASS VEHICLES ON INTERSTATE IT VIBRATES SO BAD OVER 70 MPH I AM AFRAID TO WRECK. OTHERS I HAVE TALKED TO AT DEALERSHIP CLAIM THERE VEHICLE VIBRATES AT LOWER SPEEDS, SURGES AND MAKING NOISE. THIS DEALERSHIP DOING 9 A WEEK, THAT PROBABLY IS SEVERAL THOUSAND A WEEK STATEWIDE. THIS IS A TERRIBLE PROBLEM THAT NEEDS FIXIN. MANY THANKS.

UPON ACCELERATING THE VEHICLE ONTO A 3 LANE ROAD, ALL WARNING LIGHTS CAME ON IN THE VEHICLE. A WARNING MESSAGE PRESENTED ON THE DASHBOARD STATING "ENGINE POWER REDUCTION" AND THEN THE VEHICLE SHUT DOWN COMPLETELY WHILE MOVING. THE ENGINE SHUT OFF AND THE VEHICLE WOULD NOT DISENGAGE FROM PARK. VEHICLE HAD TO BE TOWED FROM THE LOCATION. AT THE DEALERSHIP, THE DEALER INFORMED ME THE ENGINE THROTTLE BODY AND INTAKE TUBE DUCT HOSE SHOULD BE REPLACED. HE ALSO INFORMED ME GM IS AWARE OF THIS ISSUE WITH THE VEHICLE AND HAS NOT DEVELOPED A PERMANENT FIX FOR THE ISSUE.

I HAD TRUCK STATIONARY PARKED ON A SLIGHT INCLINE ON A DIRT ROAD FOR ABOUT 5 MINUTES WHEN I HEARD A ODD SOUND LIKE "ARRRRR CLUNK" AND MY CAR ROLLED DOWN A HILL. I HAD MY CAR ON PARK WHILE ON 4LOW WITH THE ENGINE OFF. I DID NOT HAVE MY PARKING BRAKE ON THOUGH BUT THE INCLINE WAS SO SLIGHT I FEEL I DID NOT NEED IT. MY TRUCK WAS NOT LOADED WITH ANY EXTRA WEIGHT OR ANYTHING TO CAUSE IT TO ROLL DOWN THE HILL. I TRULY BELIEVE I AM NOT AT FAULT FOR THIS HAPPENING IT IS A BRAND NEW CAR HOW COULD THIS HAPPEN? PRIOR TO THIS I WAS NOT DOING ANYTHING EXTREME TO DAMAGE MY CAR IN ANY WAY. SOMETHING MUST HAVE FAILED ON MY TRUCK.
