I experienced shuttering when accelerating, leaving Treasure Island garage. I got on the freeway and drove 11 miles. I experienced shuttering again after waiting at a red light. I experienced final shuttering after reaching another red light. Had it towed to the dealership and was told that the transmission was no longer operational. Truck was 5.5 years old with a little over 60k miles. I was on the way to pick up my daughter and thankfully, she was not in the truck when this occurred. Truck did routine maintenance at Chevy dealerships only. Fairway for the majority and Findlay the final year of its life.
Transmission shakes, lurchers when driving, transmission stalls then engages abruptly at low speed and highway speed.
The contact owns a 2019 Chevrolet Colorado. The contact stated that while driving at various speeds, there was an abnormal rumbling sound coming from the front of the vehicle. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic where it was diagnosed and determined that the transmission needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired due to the part not being available. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 80,000.
Mileage: 80,000
Transmission Component: M5T: TRANSMISSION AUTO 8 SPD, 8L45 available for inspection. The vehicle shakes badly and shudders during acceleration and causes a brief inability to accelerate, often at higher speeds and with a great deal of rumbling and vibration. No other warning lamps, messages, or symptoms. The problem first appeared about 2 months ago. I recognized it as a persistent problem, and I was no longer comfortable driving the vehicle and feared that it would shut down while driving. I took my vehicle for diagnostic and maintenance at a local service center who also noticed that the transfer case "is making an unusual squeaking noise when driving". I was then notified that this is a known problem with this vehicle make and model for 2019 and referred here to file a complaint. Having less than 60K miles on this vehicle, I was referred to the dealership for possible next steps.
Vehicle will make a loud humming sound going 50 to 65mph and when letting off the gas pedal. It will stop when pressing on the gas pedal or when vehicle slows down below 50mph
Transmission Issues — Shudder And Vibration; Stuttering; Vibration And Slams Into Gear At Low Speeds When Going Into Gear. Problem has been confirmed by a independent service center. No warning lights. No codes detected by service center. Bought in May of 2019. 47,000 miles. Noticed about two months ago,
I purchased my 2019 Chevy Colorado Z71 new in Feb 2019 from a dealership. About two years ago I began having shifting issues from 1st to 2nd gear, it would shudder and seem almost stuck, this would only occur infrequently. Right after I hit 100,000 miles (about a year ago) I have had nothing but issues with the 8 speed transmission, my vehicle is unable to shift from 1st to 2nd without having the shudder occur, it feels like the whole truck is shaking and loses power at acceleration. I took it in for their recommended "service bulletin" which was something that I had to locate myself because GM has not once communicated about there being any kind of shudder issue and they performed a simple flush of the transmission, not the service bulletin recommendation of three flushes and a different fluid. My truck is now in the shop because I am unable to drive it due to this ongoing issue that GM fails to recognize and so far have spent $1,000 attempting to rectify this issue and being told that in order for them to actually perform the service bulletin, it will be another $225 to diagnose the problem, around $500-$700 to perform the service bulletin, and then if that "does not fix the problem", I will have to spend another $900 on a torque converter because that "could" be the issue, the dealership "doesn't know". Then the third fix would be to replace the transmission ($5500-$8500) This has been a known issue since manufacturing and GM is failing to provide adequate assistance to fix a known problem with their 8 speed transmissions. I no longer feel safe to operate my chevy colorado in fear that it could cause serious injury to myself and others due to GM not being able to provide a safe fix to their ongoing issue.
My vehicle has only 70,000 miles on it. My transmission began to shimmy and is getting worse and worse and several technicians have told me the transmission will have to be replaced. The parts are not available anywhere in the country to rebuild the parts of the transmission that are defective. Secondly I was told I could replace the transmission but there are no transmissions available in the entire country to repair my vehicle with. After investigation on the internet this is a massive problem with this model vehicle and Chevy has been well aware of it for years. A few months ago I had the same problem with them air conditioner compressor. There were no air conditioner compressors available anywhere in the country for my four and a half year old vehicle.
Transmission extreme Shudder
truck has intermittent vibration at highway speeds and they are getting worse. The dealer just called and said the torque converter was shot. That seems to be a great deal of the power train complaints
The contact owns a 2019 Chevrolet Colorado. The contact stated that on several occasions while driving 60-70 MPH, the transmission was slipping, and the vehicle decelerated and shook before slamming into gear and then continuing to accelerate. There was no warning light illuminated. The contact stated that after stopping, the vehicle proceeded to move off in another gear other than 1st gear, then abruptly downshifted into 1st gear. There were no warning lights illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the dealer but was not yet diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure, a complaint was filed, the contact was added to a list, and then referred to the NHTSA Hotline. The failure mileage was approximately 37,000.
Mileage: 37,000
See attached document for complaint
The contact owns a 2019 Chevrolet Colorado. The contact stated while driving 15 MPH, the vehicle jerked abnormally. The contact stated that when the gear shifter was shifted from park to drive, the vehicle jerked excessively. In addition, the contact stated that while driving uphill, the transmission was slipping. The vehicle was taken to the dealer for routine service and the dealer was made aware of the failure however, the vehicle was not diagnosed. The contact stated that the failure was persistent. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired by an independent mechanic or the dealer. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 5,100.

Transmission slips when starting on steep grades, and transmission hesitation/shuttering between first and second gears.
Transmission slips when starting on steep grades when first shifting from Park to first gear. Transmission hesitates/shudders between first and second gears.
The truck has a hard downshift and when stopping and starting again at a stop sign it will lunge forward sometimes. Also, when holding speed at 50-60 mph you can feel a slight shutter like the truck is not running correctly. The dealer flushed the transmission when I purchased the truck but the issue continued so I made an appointment with the service department on march 3,2023.They took the truck on a road test and did notice the hard downshift and noted that this is a normal characteristic of this transmission(this is not normal and is unsafe)and will not offer to repair it.It is now the end of July 2023 and the issue continues and no one seems to want to do anything about it.I am going to take it back again but I am probably going to get the same answer
The stabitrac system malfunctioned and went into low power mode while on the highway almost in an accident because of speed loss. The button to turn it off did nothing. Still unsure what caused this to malfunction but needs to be a way to override to maintain speed without power loss
Shuddering while driving, transmission feels like it is slow to shift. Forward crash sometimes alerts for no reason
I pulled off the dealer lot with 3 miles on the odometer, came to a stop sign and damn near smacked my face on the steering wheel due to a hard downshift from 2nd to 1st gear. Pulled back into the lot and was told that "I have to break it in". As I laughed in his face, I knew I messed up buying a GM product. 20 miles down the road, I start getting transmission shutter during light acceleration. Took it back to the dealer and they ended up changing the fluid. As I was coming to a stop to pull in my driveway, the transmission hard shifted and threw me past the driveway. Took it back in to hear "Yep, that is GM acceptable". I am now having transmission shutter so bad, the truck will barely accelerate at 30mph or faster. This truck is absolute junk and I tell everyone I know, not to buy a GM truck. I will never buy an American made truck until they are made in America again, as they are overpriced and don't last. I want my money back!
Transmission will jerk/run poorly between 30-50 mph. This will cause deteriorated driving conditions and inability to stay with other vehicles with acceleration. Service performed by Chevrolet to rebuild transmission due to pump failure which damaged clutch pack. Service was covered under powertrain warranty. Rebuilt transmission now slips out of 3 and 4 gear and allows for lose of acceleration control.
The contact owns a 2019 Chevrolet Colorado. The contact stated while driving at various speeds, the rear end of the vehicle was making abnormal roaring sounds and the vehicle was shuddering. Additionally, the contact stated while accelerating from a complete stop, the transmission would shift hard. There were no warning lights illuminated. The contact also stated that the front driver's side seat belt would not buckle securely. The vehicle was taken to the dealer; however, the vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 9,000.
Mileage: 9,000
Transmission problems. Vibrates under acceleration and deacceleration. Occasionally won't shift gears up or down, slips or hesitation between shifts. Violet jerks at times. Dealer has done a fluid drain and flush at 20k miles, replaced torque converter at 54k miles. Goes back in again on Monday for the same complaints. I'm responsible for transporting my 5 year old daughter to and from school. Difficult to travel highway speeds when it decides to act up. Research shows many design flaws and thousands of compliments. I fear for my families safety when driving this. I'm told it's safe by dealership??
Ignition Key Cannot Be Removed and/ or Does Not Rotate to the Off Position. It started about three weeks ago and has gotten progressively worse. The engine turns off but the vehicle remains energized. Repeat start, gear cycling, steering wheel movement and holding the shifter detent randomly allows the key to be moved to the fully off position and removed. Reference GM bulletin PI1429B. Applies to my 2019 as well. Dealer did no research when I took it in and could not reproduce at time of inspection. Said it was out of warranty and without being able to reproduce, would have to have a tech try to reproduce then diagnose.
The vehicle shakes and shudders when accelerating and driving under normal conditions. The feeling is that of a very bumpy road or going over rumble strips. It is more evident in hot conditions and in more humid conditions. I have contacted several dealers, but none can offer or guarantee same day service, and none offer a loaner in case of a long repair. There have been no warning lights or service lights to the condition. The dealers do state that it is a known condition. The drive-ability is compromised, and it is very uncomfortable and unnerving to operate at this point.
I EXPERIANCED TRANMISSION CHATTER AT AROUND 12,000 MILES. WHEN I READ THAT THIS IS A COMMON PROBLEM DO TO THE WRONG TRANSMISSION FLUID INSTALLED AT THE MANUFACTURER. IT WAS NOTED TO HAVE THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT CHANGE IT TO MOBIL 1 TRANSMISSION FLUID. AFTER 11,000 MORE MILES I NOW HAVE THE SAME CHATTER BACK. I FEL THAT THE SERVICE DEPARTMENTS DO NOT WANT TO DIVE FURTHER INTO FINDING OUT WHAT THE PROBLEM IS, CAUSE IT'S UNDER WARRENTY REPAIR AND THE DON'T MAKE ANY MONEY OFF OF YOUR COMPLAINT. SO THAT YOU COME BACK AND HAVE TO PAY OUT OF YOUR POCKET WHEN YOUR WARRENTY IS UP. THIS SHOULD BE A RECALL MATTER IN MY EYES. WRITE ALL YOUR COVERNS DIRECTLY TO GM AND VENT YOUR ANGER WITH THEM. AND IF THAT DOESN'T WORK I'M GOING TO THE NEWS CREWS TO MAKE IT KNOWN.
Key gets stuck in ignition when shutting engine off leaving driver stranded and stuck with vehicle until key releases from ignition. No warning lights.
TRANSMISSION SHUTTERING CAUSING CHALLENGES ESPECIALLY WHEN ACCELERATING
Mileage: 48,000
SINCE SHORTLY AFTER PURCHASING THE VEHICLE NEW, I HAVE EXPERIENCED HARD SHIFTING, SLIPPING WHEN ACCELERATING, ALSO EXPERIENCE ROUGH IDLE AT TIMES.I HAVE HAD THE TORQUE CONVERTER REPLACED BUT I STILL HA E THE PROBLEM. I'VE EVEN HAD THE SERVICE MANAGER RIDE WITH ME AND HE STATED HE EXPERIENCED THE LUGGING SENSATION, AND SAID IT'S NORMAL, THEY STILL DID NOTHING TO HELP ME, AND THIS IS NOTED ON THEIR SERVICE RECORD! THIS VEHICLE HAS BEEN IN THE SHOP SEVERAL TIMES FOR THE SAME ISSUE, AND I GET THE SAME ANSWER AS THEY FIND NOTHING WRONG.
Mileage: 31,719
THE TRUCK SHIFTS AGGRESSIVELY BETWEEN 10 AND 20 MPH. LIKE IT'S SLIPPING NOT ENGAGING INTO SECOND GEAR. STARTED NOTICING IT AT 16,000 MILES AND HAD THE TRUCK SINCE BRAND NEW.*DT*JB
Mileage: 16,000
AFTER COMING TO A COMPLETE STOP, THE TRANSMISSION DOES NOT DROP INTO 1ST GEAR. WHEN STARTING FROM A STOP, THE TRANSMISSION KICKS INTO GEAR VERY HARD, CAUSING A LOUD NOISE AND CAUSING THE DRIVER AND PASSENGERS TO HAVE THEIR NECKS JERKED BACK, VERY HARD. THIS PROBLEM WAS PRESENT FROM THE TIME I PULLED IT OFF THE LOT WITH 4 MILES ON IT. I HAVE TAKEN IT BACK TO THE DEALER, ONLY TO BE TOLD THEY CAN'T FIND ANYTHING. THIS PROBLEM OCCURS EVERY TIME THE TRUCK IS DRIVEN AT NEARLY EVER STOP I MAKE. THE REAR BRAKES PADS ARE WEARING OUT 3 TIMES FASTER, THAN THE FRONT PADS. I HAVE NEVER HAD TO CHANGE REAR BRAKES IN A VEHICLE, BUT THE CHEVY COLORADO HAS AN ISSUE WITH REAR BRAKES WEARING VERY QUICKLY.
Mileage: 4
TRANSMISSION DOES A SLIGHT KICK BEFORE SHIFTING AT SPEEDS BETWEEN 20-45 MPH ON STREETS AND HIGHWAYS. GIRLFRIENDS SISTER-IN-LAW EXPERIENCED SAME PROBLEM WITH HER VEHICLE. HER PAPERWORK WHEN SHE GOT HER CAR BACK REFERENCED CHEVY'S BULLETIN# 18-NA-091
Mileage: 24,000
TRANSMISSION IS SHUDDERING WHEN ACCELERATING. THIS SHUDDERING EVENT BEGAN AROUND 9,000 MILES AND HAS PROGRESSIVELY WORSENED. SERVICE BULLETIN 18-NA-355 HAS BEEN PUBLISHED BUT WITH MIXED RESULTS. REQUESTING GOVERNMENT AGENCY CONTINUES TO MONITOR THIS AS THE SUDDEN LURCHING COULD POTENTIALLY PUT DRIVERS INTO A DANGEROUS INTERSECTION OR BE UNABLE TO ACCELERATE TO AVOID A HAZARD. THIS IS A LARGE SAFETY CONCERN AND TRANSMISSIONS ARE EXPENSIVE TO FIX/MAINTAIN AND THE COST SHOULD BE ABSORBED BY THE MANUFACTURER AS REPORTS OF THIS ISSUE GROW AND BECOME MORE WIDESPREAD.
Mileage: 9,328
THE 2019 COLORADO Z71 I HAVE HAS BEEN IN THE SHOP AT THE DEALER 8 TIMES SINCE MARCH. THE TRANSMISSION SHUTTERS WHILE TRYING TO MAINTAIN A CONSISTENT SPEED BETWEEN 40-60 MPH. THE TRANSMISSION ALSO SLIPS AND JERKS WHEN SLOWING DOWN AND REACCELERATING. DEALER CONTINUES TO TELL ME THEY CAN NOT RECREATE THE ISSUES. IT HAS BECOME SO THAT I DO NOT FEEL SAFE ALLOWING MY WIFE TO TRAVEL IN THIS VEHICLE. I FEAR THAT SHE WILL BE STRANDED ON THE SIDE OF THE ROAD OR INVOLVED IN AN ACCIDENT BECAUSE OF THE ISSUE AT HAND. THIS IS HER PRIMARY MODE OF TRANSPORTATION.
HARD SHIFTING FROM 1ST GEAR TO 2ND GEAR SPECIALLY WHEN IT IS COLD OR ON THE FIRST DRIVE. THE TRANSMISSION SEEMS TO NOT ENGAGE THE SECOND GEAR AND WHEN IT DOES IT RESULTS IN A HARD JOLT.
Mileage: 6,000
THE TRANSMISSION SURGES CAUSING THE TRUCK TO LUNGE FORWARD WHEN STARTING FROM A STOP. THE KEY WILL NOT TURN COMPLETELY OFF ALLOWING THE KEY TO BE REMOVED. BOTH EVENTS OCCUR OCCASIONALLY SO IF THE DEALER SAYS IT DID NOT HAPPEN TO THEM THEN THERE IS NOTHING THEY CAN DO. BOTH THINGS ARE BEING REPORTED ON THE INTERNET BY NUMEROUS PEOPLE. BOTH THINGS ARE SAFETY HAZARDS.
Mileage: 100
IN MOTION. 8 SPEED TRANSMISSION FAILS TO SHIFT RIGHT . IT SHUTTERS BAD.
Mileage: 20,000
SHUTTERING/SHAKING WHEN SHIFTING GEARS WHILE IN MOTION SPEEDS FROM 10MPH TO 80MPH. MORE SO IN STOP AND GO TRAFFIC ON THE HIGHWAY OR CITY STREET. HARSH DOWN SHIFT WHEN COMING TO A STOP.
Mileage: 12,400
THE TRANSMISSION CAUSES THE TRUCK TO SHUTTER WHEN ON A SLIGHT INCLINE OR UNDER SLIGHT PRESSURE/STRAIN. OCCASIONALLY THE TRUCK SHIFT VERY HARD. I'M CONCERNED THAT THE TRANSMISSION WONT LAST AND IT CAUSES A TERRIBLE RIDE. *TR
Mileage: 3,500
THE TRANSMISSION HAS A DELAYED DOWNSHIFT, CAUSING THE TRUCK JUMP FORWARD DURING A STOP. WHEN COMING TO A STOP, IT FEELS LIKE THE TRUCK IS BEING HIT FROM BEHIND, AT THE SAME TIME, MAKING A LOUD MECHANICAL NOISE. SOMETIMES IT HITS SO HARD, IT WILL CAUSE THE TRUCK TO BE THROWN PAST MY DRIVEWAY, WHILE PREPARING TO TURN INTO THE DRIVEWAY. IT WAS RECOMMENDED THAT THE FACTORY TRANSMISSION FLUID BE REPLACED WITH A THICKER FLUID, SO I TOOK IT TO THE DEALERSHIP AND HAD THAT DONE. ALTHOUGH IT FIXED THE PREVIOUS ISSUE OF VIBRATION, CAUSED FROM THE TRANSMISSION SWITCHING BACK AND FOURTH BETWEEN GEARS RAPIDLY, BUT IT DID NOT FIX THE HARD AND DELAYED DOWNSHIFT. THIS HAS BEEN AN ISSUE FROM THE MOMENT I PULLED IT OFF THE LOT, WITH ONLY 4 MILES ON THE ODOMETER. THE TRUCK WAS IMMEDIATELY RETURNED TO THE DEALERSHIP, IN WHICH THEY SAID THEY COULD FIND NOTHING WRONG WITH IT. *TR
Mileage: 4
BOUGHT 6 MONTHS AGO 7000 MILES. WHEN DRIVING FELT LIKE I DRIVING OVER RUMBLE STRIPS, I TOOK IF TO THE DEALER AND THEY CLAIM THAT WAS NORMAL. THEY CHANGED THE FLUID AND SAID DRIVE IT FOR 500 MILES. NOW I TOOK IT BACK AGAIN BECAUSE EVERY TIME I START IT AND THERE IS A BANG IN THE TRANSMISSION, THEY WANTED ME TO LEAVE IT AND REFUSED TO GIVE ME A LOANER VEHICLE. THEY TOLD ME DON'T WORRY ABOUT YOU HAVE A 5 YEAR WARRANTY ON YOU DRIVE TRAIN. TOLD THEM ME AND MY WIFE WERE GOING ON VACATION AND THEY DIDN'T SEEM TO CARE. I AM VERY DISGUSTED WITH THIS PURCHASE I MADE. WOULDN'T RECOMMEND THIS VEHICLE TO ANYONE. *TR

2019 CHEVY COLORADO ZR2- SHUTTERS OR HESITATES BEFORE SHIFTING UP AT 5 / 45 / 65 MPH. FEELS LIKE YOU DID NOT PRESS THE GAS WHEN ACCELERATING. IT IS INTERMITTENT, SO THEREFORE VERY HARD TO DUPLICATE FOR THE DEALERSHIP. THREE TIMES TO THE DEALER. #1 TRANNY FLUSH #2 REPROGRAMMED THE TRANNY #3 SORRY MA'AM WE CAN'T DUPLICATE WHAT YOU ARE EXPERIENCING. I LIVE IN MICHIGAN ON THOSE 0 DEGREE MORNINGS THE TRUCK BARELY WANTS TO GET GOING. DEALERSHIP SAYS 'THIS IS NORMAL WITH AN 8 SPEED TRANSMISSION.' I TOLD THE DEALERSHIP I HAVE OWNED A LOT OF CARS AND NONE HAVE HAD THIS PROBLEM. OCCASIONALLY IT LUNGES FORWARD WHEN COMING TO A STOP- THIS IS SO DANGEROUS AS I DRIVE IN THE CITY EVERYDAY. VERY EXPENSIVE PROBLEM TO HAVE.
Mileage: 16,000
2019 CHEVROLET COLORADO Z71 4X4 VEHICLE SHUTTERS NOTICEABLY WHEN IN MOTION ON FLAT ROADS OR UPHILL. PROBLEM ALWAYS OCCURS IN ALL ROAD AND ENVIRONMENT TEMPS AND APPEARS MOST OFTEN IN MOVING OPERATION OF 45 TO 65 MPH.
Mileage: 22
THE TRANSMISSION SLIPS, BANGS INTO GEAR WHEN COLD. THE DEALER IS TELLING ME THIS IS NORMAL, BASED FROM A BULLETIN FROM GM. I BOUGHT THE TRUCK WITH A 112 MILES ON IT, THE TRASMISSION HAS SLIPPED FROM THE VERY FIRST DAY.

Mileage: 17,000
TRANSMISSION JERKS AND JUMPS GOING UP A GRADE, OR WHEN APPLYING POWER DURING ACCELERATION. IT IS LIKE DRIVING ON A RUMBLE STRIP, SHUDDERS AND VIBRATES THE CAB. HAVE APPOINTMENT WITH DEALER NEXT WEEK, VEHICLE WAS PURCHASED NEW AND HAS 3600 MILES.
VEHICLE SHUTTERS BETWEEN THE SPEED OF 15MPH TO 35MPH SHAKING VEHICLE VERY BAD. LEAKING BACK SLIDING GLASS, NO SEALANT AROUND GLASS DEALER HAD TO REPLACE BACK WINDOW NEW MOUNDING AND SEALANT. CARPET IN BACK IS SOAKED WITH POSSIBILITY OF MOLD. DEALER DID NOT MAKE ANY EFFORT TO CLEAN CARPET OR HEADLINER WHEN REAR WINDOW WAS REPAIRED. THE HEADLINER HAD A BAD STAIN AND WAS SUPERFICIALLY CLEANED, LEAVING POSSIBILITY OF MOLD IN THE FUTURE. THE CARPET AND FLOOR MATS WERE NOT CLEANED LEAVING POSSIBILITY OF MOLD IN THE FUTURE. POOR SERVICE IN THIS AREA.
Mileage: 350
I EXPERIENCE HARSH SHIFTS FROM 1-2 GEAR AND WHEN DOWNSHIFTING 2-1. IT JOLTS THE WHOLE TRUCK. IT SOMETIMES RANDOMLY DOWNSHIFTS FOR NO REASON WHEN I DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY I AM AFRAID THAT SOMETHING IS GOING TO FAIL IN THE DRIVETRAIN WHEN I'M DRIVING.
Mileage: 2,100
AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS OF ABOUT 60-65 MPH THE TRANSMISSION IN MY 2019 COLORADO ZR2 V6 AUTOMATIC (THE TRUCK HAS ONLY 5700 MILES ON IT) HAS A SHUDDER OR SHAKING PROBLEM WHICH SHAKES THE WHOLE TRUCK. IT ALSO CAUSES A LOUD LOW FREQUENCY BOOMING NOISE. WHEN IT STARTED HAPPENING IT WAS ALARMING.
Mileage: 5,700
TRUCK VIBRATES AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS IT'S LIKE DRIVING ON A GRAVEL ROAD
Mileage: 9,000
VEHICLE LURCHES FORWARD WHEN ROLLING UP HILL TO A STOP OR APPLYING THE BRAKE ON AN UPHILL STOP AT LOW SPEED OR WHEN GOING UPHILL AT LOW SPEED WHILE OFF ROAD & IT LUNGES HARD ENOUGH TO SPIN BOTH BACK WHEELS ON GRAVEL THIS HAPPENS WHEN ATTEMPTING TO PULL ONTO THE HIGHWAY FROM A GRAVEL DRIVEWAY

Mileage: 3,000
LATE DOWN SHIFT ... SHIFTS HARD ... VEHICLE LURCHES FORWARD ON A STOP
Mileage: 6
EIGHT SPEED TRANSMISSION SHUTTERS AND VIBRATES UNDER NORMAL ACCELERATION. MORE NOTICEABLE ON HILLS OR UNDER LIGHT LOAD. CHEVY DEALERS ANSWER: THEY ALL DO IT!! AFTER EXTENSIVE ONLINE SEARCHER, I FOUND THIS PROBLEM HAS BEEN ONGOING FOR 3 TO 4 YEARS WITH NUMEROUS COMPLAINTS AND DISSATISFIED OWNERS! THEY FAIL TO TELL YOU THIS WHEN YOUR BUYING VEHICLE. CHEVY HAS A TECHNICAL SERVICE BULLETIN # 16NA175 ON PROBLEM, BUT WILL NOT RESOLVE PROBLEM. OF ALL THE VEHICLES I'VE OWNED OVER THE YEARS, I HAVE NEVER HAD A DRIVEABILITY PROBLEM THIS SERIOUS.
Mileage: 500
. I WAS AT THE CARWASH VACUUMING THE TRUCK WHILE IN DRIVE WHEN I GOT BACK TO THE PASSENGER SIDE TO PUT THE HOSE UP, I REACHED IN TO REMOVE MY KEYS OUT OF THE IGNITION, AND THE TRUCK ROLLED BACKWARDS, I RAN TO THE DRIVER SIDE AND THE DOOR KNOCKED ME TO THE GROUND AND THE 2019 COLORADA RAN OVER MY ENTIRE BODY FROM MY FEET TO MY FACE AND HEAD. I SUFFERED A PUNCTURED LUNG AND MY PELVIC BONE IS FRACTURED IN SEVERAL PLACES. ALL OF THIS WAS CAUGHT ON TAPE.
Mileage: 7,000
AFTER REPLACING TRANSMISSION FLUID PER TSB 19417577 TRUCK OCCASIONALLY DOES NOT COME OUT OF GEAR WHEN SLOWING DOWN TO A POINT WHERE ENGINE GOES UNDER 500 RPM WHERE GAS IS APPLIED TO KEEP FROM STALLING. THIS SURGE WHILE BRAKING UNDER 10 MPH THEN REQUIRES HARD PRESS ON BRAKE WHICH DOES SEEM TO DROP TRANSMISSION OUT OF GEAR WITH HARD CLUNK. STOPPED JUST INCHES SHORT AT LIGHT FROM CAR IN FRONT OF ME STOPPED AT LIGHT. DEALER CAN NOT IMMEDIATELY REPRODUCE WITH SHORT TEST DRIVE, AND WILL NOT EVEN ATTEMPT TO TROUBLESHOOT. BEEN TOLD TO BRING BACK WHEN IT HAPPENS MORE OFTEN.
Mileage: 6,500
TRANSMISSION SHUTTERS AROUND 25 TO 35 MILES A HOUR UNDER LOAD

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2019 CHEVROLET COLORADO. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE SHOP TWICE FOR TRANSMISSION FAILURE. WHILE DRIVING 50 MPH, THE CONTACT STATED IT FELT LIKE HE WAS DRIVING OVER A BUNCH OF SPEED BUMPS. CAMP CHEVROLET CADILLAC (101 E MONTGOMERY AVE, SPOKANE, WA 99207, (509) 381-2970) REMOVED, INSPECTED, AND REINSTALLED THE TORQUE CONVERTER DURING THE FIRST VISIT. DURING THE SECOND VISIT, THE DEALER INSPECTED THE VEHICLE AND ONLY PERFORMED AN OIL CHANGE. THE CONTACT CALLED THE MANUFACTURER AND AN INSPECTION APPOINTMENT WAS SCHEDULED FOR APRIL 23, 2019. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 1,100.
Mileage: 1,100
TRUCK BEGAN SHUDDERING WHILE DRIVING AT 600 MILES ON THE ODOMETER. WHEN THE VEHICLE IS ACCELERATING AROUND 40 MPH AND ROUGHLY 1200 RPM IS WHEN IT IS MOST NOTICEABLE, BUT CAN ALSO FEEL IT AT HWY SPEEDS 60-75 MPH. FEELS LIKE I AM DRIVING OVER SPEED GROOVES IN THE ROAD (BEST WAY TO DESCRIBE THE SHUDDER WHEN THE TRUCK IS SHIFTING BETWEEN GEARS).
Mileage: 600
VEHICLE TRANSMISSION SEEMS TO LATE DOWN SHIFT WHEN SLOWING, CAUSING THE VEHICLE TO JUMP FORWARD ONCE SHIFTING HAS COMPLETED.

WHILE DRIVING AT DIFFERENT SPEEDS I GET A BAD VIBRATION. I HAVE READ WHERE A LOT OF PEOPLE HAVE THIS PROBLEM WITH THE COLORADO. DEALER SAYS TO WAIT FOR A RECALL. I WOULD LIKE TO HAVE IT REPAIRED NOW. I PAID OVER 30,000 FOR THIS VEHICLE AND CAN'T DRIVE IT THE WAY I WOULD LIKE TO. IT WILL LOOSEN EVERY BOLT ON THE VEHICLE.
