THE NEXT DAY THE MESSAGE WAS GONE APPARENTLY RESETTING ITSELF. BECAUSE OF THE DANGEROUS SITUATION I TOOK THE CAR TO THE LOCAL CHEV. DEALERSHIP (LEN DUDAS MOTORS, STEVENS POINT, WI) HOWEVER THEY WERE NOT ABLE TO DETERMINE THE CAUSE. THE SENSORS TESTED NORMAL AND THE MECHANIC THEORIZED THE YAW RATE SENSOR BRACKET WAS AT FAULT, BUT HE WAS UNABLE TO FIND A PART. DURING THE PAST WEEK THE PROBLEM RESURFACED 2 MORE TIMES. I'VE RESEARCHED CORVETTE FORUMS ONLINE AND IT APPEARS THAT THIS IS A PROBLEM WITH CORVETTES AND THERE APPEARS TO BE MANY OPINIONS ON HOW TO FIX THE PROBLEM, MOST OF WHICH I DON'T UNDERSTAND BECAUSE I AM NOT A MECHANIC. MY UNDERSTANDING IS THE HARNESS IS TO SHORT AND THE TELESCOPIC MOVEMENT CAUSE WEAR IN THE CONNECTOR WHICH CAUSES THE STEERING WHEEL SENSOR TO SHOW AN OPEN CONNECTION TELLING THE COMPUTER TO ACTIVATE THE HANDLING SYSTEM..
