I think even though it says no recalls on my mother's car I think it is part of this recall because it keeps happening after repaired correctly by her car repair person. She had it fixed twice for leaking antifreeze then after fixed twice it was fine for a bit then it blew all out and said overheating like what I read in this website link on recall. Real bad oil leak my oil been leaking for months and a intake manifold code P2076 I really need this problem fix. I done spend a lot of money getting this car repaired everytime I get this Chevy Cruze out the shop something else wrongs I can’t out no more money into this car too many car problems I haven’t drove this car in 3 weeks because I was driving somewhere and white smoke started coming out the tailpipe bad somebody called the fire department and police on me that’s how bad the smoke was coming out the tailpipe mind you I had just got the car out the shop i had got code P0303 fix this car cost me alot of money I got alot of repairs done on this car

MY TRUNK IS COMING OPEN ON ITS OWN. SOMETIMES WHEN I UNLOCK MY CAR THE TRUNK WILL POP OPEN OTHER TIMES IT WILL JUST POP OPEN WHEN I'M DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD. IT IS NOT MY KEY FOB BECAUSE I HAVE USED DIFFERENT KEY FOBS THAT I HAVE AND THE PROBLEM IS STILL HAPPENING. THIS IS DANGEROUS WHEN DRIVING DOWN THE HIGHWAY. THIS CAN HAPPEN WHEN IT'S SITTING IN THE DRIVEWAY. OVERNIGHT I WAKE UP IN THE MORNING AND THE TRUNK IS OPEN OR WHEN I'M DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD. THIS STARTED HAPPENING JUST THIS MONTH AND HAS BEEN HAPPENING SPORADICALLY BUT AT LEAST ONCE A DAY IF NOT MORE. THE KEY ITSELF IS OK, BUT COMPLETELY SEPARATED FROM THE BASE OR HOUSING. PLEASE NOTE THIS IS THE SECOND TIME THIS HAS HAPPENED, I THOUGHT MY 11 YEAR OLD BROKE THE FIRST ONE SO I HAVE BEEN USING THE SPARE. THE BREAK LOOKS EXACTLY THE SAME THIS TIME AS THE FIRST TIME, I JUST MUST HAVE DROPPED THE ACTUAL KEY PART OUT WITHOUT NOTICING.

TO WHOM THIS MAY CONCERN, THIS VEHICLE HAS ISSUES WITH STABILTRAK/TRACTION CONTROL. THIS VEHICLE HAS BEEN SERVICED ROUTINELY THROUGHOUT THE TIME I HAVE HAD IT. THIS VEHICLE WAS BROUGHT IN AT THE DEALERSHIP UPON RECEIVING THE LETTER FOR THE RECALL, I DO NOT THINK THIS WAS THOROUGHLY INSPECTED. IT WAS UNDER TEN MINUTES, THAT I WAS TOLD THE VEHICLE DIDN'T HAVE A PROBLEM. IN MY OPINION, THIS WAS TOTALLY INCORRECT. THE PROBLEM PERSISTED STILL TO THIS DAY. NOBODY REPORTED THIS PROBLEM, WHICH COULD BE A MAJOR SAFETY CONCERN FOR MY FAMILY AND I. THIS WILL BE THE FIRST INVESTIGATION INTO THIS MATTER. IF THE DEALERSHIP DID SAY THEY THOROUGHLY INSPECTED IT, WHY DIDN'T THEY REPORT THIS MATTER TO YOU, WHICH WOULD BE LANDERS MCCLARTY CHEVROLET, HUNTSVILLE AL. I HAVE DONE MAJOR RESEARCH AND THIS MATTER IS UNACCEPTABLE. THE DEALERSHIP WAS COMPLETELY IN THE WRONG. NONE OF THIS MATTER WAS HANDLED CORRECTLY, WHY DIDN'T I GET ANY DETAILS OR DOCUMENTATION. WHY WASN'T IT REPORTED?? I'M GONNA CONTINUE TO SEARCH FOR PAPERWORK, AND THE EXACT DATES WHICH I TOOK IT THERE. I WILL BE IN CONTACT WITH MY LAWYER, AND GET ANY PAPERWORK AND EVIDENCE REVIEWED. THE STABILTRAK LIGHT STAYS ON, AND CAUSED ME NOT TO GO INTO REVERSE. THE STEERING COMPLETELY WENT DOWN AND PARKING ASSIST, AS WELL AS TRACTION CONTROL IS ALWAYS ON. THIS HAS BEEN A COMPLETE DISASTER. WHILE DRIVING MY 2011 CHEVROLET CRUZE LT WHEN IT GETS T0 BETWEEN 30-40 MPH THE RPMS WILL GO EXTREMELY HIGH THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT WILL COME ON AND THE CAR WILL SLOW DOWN AS IT IS SLOWING DOWN IT WILL JERK INTO THE LOWER GEARS IF I DON'T PUT THE CAR IN NEUTRAL. SINCE I DON'T HAVE A READER FOR THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT I HAVE TO PULL OVER AND DISCONNECT MY BATTERY TO GET THAT TO SHUT OFF. I HAVE TO LET MY CAR ENGINE/TRANSMISSION COOL DOWN BEFORE DRIVING AGAIN OTHERWISE I WILL ONLY MAKE IT EIGHTH OF A MILE DOWN THE ROAD AND THE SAME THING HAPPENS. I WANT THIS PROBLEM FIXED. HAVE A 2011 CHEVY CRUZE THAT I BOUGHT A FEW YEARS AGO, FROM CARMAX. SINCE I BOUGHT THE CAR A FEW YEARS AGO, MY CAR HAS ALWAYS BEEN VERY WARM ON THE DRIVERS SIDE FOOT AREA, AND WHERE MY LEG RESTS THERE IS A PANEL ON THE RIGHT OF THE GAS PEDDLE THAT IS WHERE THE HEAT COMES FROM. I HAVE BROUGHT MY CAR A FEW TIMES TO THE DEALERSHIP AFTER I NOTICED HOW HOT IT GOT IN THAT AREA. OVER 130F! (I GAVE UP AT THIS TIME,) LAST WEEK, MY WIFE HAD A SMALL REAR END CRASH ON MY CAR. NOTHING MAJOR BUT WE TOOK IT TO THE BODY SHOP TO GET WORK ON. WHEN I BROUGHT THE CAR IN TO THEM, I ASKED THEM IF THEY CAN PUT SOME NEW INSULATION PIPE ON MY CAR HEAT PIPES, BECAUSE THE OLD ONES WERE PROBABLY NEEDING TO BE REPLACED. WHEN THE REPLACED IT AND MY CAR WAS READY FOR PICK UP, THEY TOLD ME THAT THEY PUT THE NEW INSULATION ON IT, BUT THEY SHOWED ME THE OLD ONE. THE OLD ONE WAS BURNT AND THEY SAID COULD HAVE ALMOST CAUGHT FIRE THOSE PIPES. ALONG WITH THE SIDE PANEL WAS WARPING DUE TO THE AMOUNT OF HEAT COMING OUT OF THERE. I TOLD THEM AT THE TIME, THAT ITS A SAFETY ISSUE, BUT THEY SAID BECAUSE MY WARRANTY IS EXPIRED FROM YEARS AGO, THEY HAVE TO CHARGE ME FOR INSPECTING IT, FROM THERE IF THEY FIND A ISSUE THEN WE CAN DISCUSS WITH GM WHAT IS THE BEST WAY TO HANDLE TO REPAIRS AND COSTS. THEY CAN NEVER FIND THE SOURCE. THEY THOUGHT A OIL PAN LEAK WAS IT. THAT WAS FIXED AND THE SMELL STILL IS THERE. THEY CLAIMED TO FIND AN OIL LEAK ANOTHER TIME AND FIXED. THEN IT WAS A TRANSMISSION LEAK, WHICH WAS FIXED AND STILL THE SMELL. THERE IS NEVER FLUID UNDER THE CAR. I HAVE THE SMELL NOTED EVERY TIME.

THEN WE DONT KNOW WHAT HAPPENED, BUT THE CAR ACCELERATED AND WENT THE LENGTH OF A FOOTBALL FIELD AND THEY HIT A POLE AND MY MOTHER IN LAW DIED INSTANTLY AND MY FATHER IN LAW DIED AT 5:10 AM.MY CONCERN IS WHY ISN'T IT AN INDUSTRY STANDARD THAT ONCE THE AIRBAGS ARE DEPLOYED THE THROTTLE DOESN'T SHUT DOWN. IF THE THROTTLE WOULD HAVE NOT WORKED THEY WAY STILL BE ALIVE.IF YOU CANT HELP ME COULD YOU SEND ME IN THE RIGHT DIRECTION.

TOOK TO DEALERSHIP (WHERE PURCHASED) AND THEY DETERMINED ENGINE COOLANT LEAKING FROM FAULTY WATER PUMP. THOUGHT THE ISSUE WOULD BE COVERED BY GM EXTENDED WARRANTY BECAUSE ALREADY EXISTING SPECIAL COVERAGE BULLETIN 14371A, EXISTED FOR THIS ISSUE IN 1.4L ENGINE, ...BUT NOT FOR THE 1.8L ENGINE, WHICH IS WHAT I OWN. THE WATER PUMP IN THE 1.4L IS THE EXACT SAME PART IN THE 1.8L ENGINE, SO I'M LEAD TO BELIEVE THAT THE WATER PUMP IN MY VEHICLE SHOULD HAVE BEEN COVERED DUE TO IT BEING A FAULTY PART, IN GENERAL. WATER PUMP WAS REPLACED AND HAVE EXPERIENCED NO MORE LEAKAGE. I AM UNABLE TO ATTACH THE SERVICE INVOICE FROM MCKINLEYVILLE CHEVROLET AND BUICK, BUT CAN PROVIDE HARD COPY.

I TOLD THEM THAT THIS COOLANT IS ALSO INSIDE THE CAB OF MY 2011 CHEVROLET CRUZE AND THEY SAID THAT I WOULD BE CHARGED TO HAVE MY 2011 CHEVROLET CRUZE CHECKED FOR REASON OF LEAK BUT ONCE COOLANT IS LEAKED OUT OR LOW THEY WOULD REPLACE IT. THIS CHEMICAL IS A LABELED 'A' POISON FOR HUMANS WITHIN IT'S LABEL. WHICH I HAVE HAD THOSE AFFECTS FROM IT'S RELEASE AT THIS POINT. I IMMEDIATELY WENT FROM 65 MPH TO 30 MPH.( I WAS ALMOST REAR ENDED BY A CAR BEHIND ME) I COASTED MY WAY TO THE RIGHT LANE AND WAS ABLE TO GET OFF THE EXIT. THE CAR TOOK ABOUT 4 HOURS TO GO BACK TO NORMAL. ( I RETURNED TO MASS, I HAD TO TAKE THE BACK WAY HOME AND AVOID THE HIGHWAY AS THE CAR STILL HAD REDUCE SPEED) THE CAR WILL RETURN TO NORMAL AND THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT WILL GO OFF. EVERYDAY NOW THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT WILL COME ON AND IT WILL SAY SERVICE STABLITRACK. THE CAR IMMEDIATELY LOOSES POWER AND YOU CAN HEAR THE ENGINE (SOUNDS LIKE A FAN BLOWING HARD) THE TRANSMISSION WILL NOT SHIFT. THE RPM WILL JUMP TO 4-5 WHILE ONLY GETTING TO A SPEED OF 35 MPH. HOWEVER, I HAVE MENTIONED THE STARTING(MINOR AS IT SEEMS) ISSUE TO MY DEALER WHILE THE VEHICLE WAS STILL UNDER WARRANTY. THEY, AS I LIKELY EXPECTED, TOLD ME THERE WERE NO CODES OR ANYTHING UNUSUAL THEY COULD FIND THAT MAY LEAD TO THIS ISSUE.THUS FAR I RATE MY CRUZE A SOLID 9 OUT OF 10! I NOTICED THAT ON 1/12/14 THE NEXT DAY THAT THE RADIATOR COOLANT TANK WAS ALMOST EMPTY AFTER FILLING IT UP ALL THE WAY LAST NIGHT. LOOKING AROUND MY FATHER AND I SAW ANTIFREEZE SITTING ON THE TRANSMISSION AND NO HOSES ARE LEAKING. IT IS BEING TAKEN INTO THE DEALER AGAIN ON 1/13/14 FOR THIS ISSUE AGAIN. I HAVE FILLED A COMPLAINT WITH GM AND GOT A CASE #. GM CUSTOMER SERVICE NOTIFIED ME THAT IF THIS HAPPENS AGAIN AFTER BEING TAKEN TO THE DEALERSHIP TO CALL THEM AGAIN. MY FATHERS GUESS IS THAT THE PRESSURE IN THAT TANK IS 20PSI AND SINCE THE HOSE DOES NOT APPEAR TO LEAK THAT THE ANTI FREEZE FROM THE RADIATOR COOLANT TANK IS COMING OUT OF THE TANK FROM THE PRESSURE CAP.

MY 2011 CHEVY CRUZE HAS AN ACCELERATION HESITATION. STARTING ABOUT 2 MONTHS AFTER I BOUGHT THE CAR IN 2010 THE ISSUE BEGAN. WHEN I NEED TO ACCELERATE IN CERTAIN SITUATIONS SUCH AS PULLING OUT ON A ROAD, PASSING ANOTHER VEHICLE, ACCELERATING AFTER REDUCING SPEED, ETC. ETC. THE CAR LOSES POWER WHEN I STEP ON THE GAS FOR THREE-FIVE SECONDS BEFORE SLOWLY RESPONDING AND ACCELERATING TO WHERE I NEED IT TO BE. IT'S AS IF THE CAR DIES FOR A FEW SECONDS. THOSE FEW SECONDS ARE ALWAYS IN SITUATIONS WHEN I NEED TO BE MOVING. I BROUGHT THE CAR IN TO THE DEALERSHIP AND WAS TOLD THAT IT WAS NORMAL.THE ISSUE IS GETTING WORSE SO I BROUGHT THE CAR IN TO DEALERSHIP AGAIN AND WAS TOLD THERE WAS NOTHING WRONG.MY CAR WAS IN FOR OTHER RECALLS AND THEY GAVE ME A LOANER 2013 CRUZE TO DRIVE. THE NEWER CRUZE DID NOT HAVE THE HESITATION PROBLEM AT ALL, IT DROVE BEAUTIFULLY. THERE ARE THOUSANDS OF PEOPLE WITH THE SAME YEAR, MAKE AND MODEL THAT HAVE THIS SAME ISSUE. IT IS DANGEROUS!! JUST BECAUSE NO ONE THAT WE KNOW OF HASN'T DIED YET THAT DOESN'T MEAN THAT THERE ISN'T AN ISSUE. THE 2011 CRUZE IS UNSAFE AND SOMEONE NEEDS TO DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT. *TR

THE FIRST SAFETY ISSUE WAS NOTICED WITHIN THE FIRST WEEK OF OWNERSHIP. THE AIR BAG INDICATOR LIGHT INDICATED "OFF" WITH AN ADULT PASSENGER IN THE PASSENGER SEAT. THIS CAR HAS BEEN TO THE DEALERSHIP 4 TIMES FOR THIS ISSUE AND IT REMAINS UNSOLVED. THE SECOND SAFETY ISSUE WAS NOTICED IN OCTOBER OR NOVEMBER 2012. THE CAR FILLS WITH AN ODOR OF ANTI-FREEZE WHEN THE HEATER IS IN USE. THE CAR HAS BEEN TO DEALERSHIP 4 TIMES FOR THIS ISSUE AND IT REMAINS UNSOLVED. I THINK WE HAVE A ANTI FREEZE SMELL INSIDE THE CAR WHEN EVER THE HEATER IS USED. I CAN NO LONGER DRIVE THE CAR IF I AM GOING TO NEED HEAT. DEALER WORKED ON THE CAR 4 TIMES AND HAS NOT FIXED THE PROBLEM. THE ONLY SMELL GM WILL ADMIT TO IS A HOT PLASTIC SMELL. EVEN IF IT IS HOT PLASTIC WHAT IS IT DOING TO PEOPLES HEALTH? WHEN CHEVY CRUZE REACHES FULL OPERATING TEMPERATURE, USING THE HEATER PRODUCES A VERY STRONG SMELL COMES FROM THE HEATING DUCTS INSIDE THE CAR. ESPECIALLY DURING USE OF THE DEFROST SETTING. THE SMELL IS LIKE BURNING ANTIFREEZE AND BURNING PLASTIC. THIS HAPPENS WHEN THE HEATER IS SET TO FULL HOT. FAN SPEED DOESN'T SEEM TO MATTER. THIS ONLY EXISTS ONCE THE CAR HAS REACHED FULL OPERATING TEMP. WITH THE CAR OFF OVER NIGHT RESIDUAL SMELL STILL PERMEATES INSIDE THE CAR. THE SMELL ON A 30 MINUTE COMMUTE IS SO BAD THAT I FEEL DIZZY, NAUSEOUS, AND I HAVE TO ROLL THE WINDOWS DOWN EVEN WHEN IT IS COLD OUTSIDE. I HAVE ASKED OTHERS TO RIDE WITH ME AND EVERY PERSON HAS EXPERIENCED THE SMELL.

WHEN YOU BACK OFF THE THROTTLE AND SLOW TO 20 TO 25 MPH, YOU NEVER KNOW WHAT THE CAR WILL DO. IT MAY COAST LIKE A NORMAL CAR. IT MAY DOWNSHIFT AND SLOW MODERATELY. OR IT MAY DOWNSHIFT TO FIRST GEAR AND SLOW RADICALLY. WHEN THIS HAPPENS, THE COMPUTER TAKES FULL CONTROL OF THE VEHICLE. YOU STEP ON THE GAS AND NOTHING HAPPENS. THE COMPUTER HAS CONTROL OF THE VEHICLE FOR THE NEXT 5 SECONDS. THIS HAS HAPPENED AT LEAST 40 DIFFERENT TIMES. THIS CREATES A VERY DANGEROUS SITUATION. FIRST, I AM IN THE DRIVER SEAT AND I SHOULD HAVE CONTROL OF THE VEHICLE. I DO NOT. SECONDLY, MOST PEOPLE DRIVE WITH THE FLOW OF TRAFFIC. IF I SLOW RADICALLY FOR ABSOLUTELY NO REASON AND ALL OF THE DRIVERS AROUND ME CONTINUE ON, SOMEONE BEHIND ME WILL RUN INTO ME. IT IS ONLY A MATTER OF TIME BEFORE A DISTRACTED DRIVER SMASHES INTO ME. AND THIRDLY, SINCE I NEVER TOUCHED THE BRAKE, THE BRAKE LIGHT NEVER CAME ON. THE DRIVER BEHIND ME HAVE NO WAY OF KNOWING THAT I AM RADICALLY SLOWING AND CREATING SUCH A DANGEROUS SITUATION. IF YOU STEP ON THE GAS TO GET THE CAR TO GO, NOTHING HAPPENS. THEN THE COMPUTER RETURNS CONTROL TO THE DRIVER AND THE CAR TAKES OFF AT FULL SPEED. IF YOU STEP ON THE BRAKE, THE COMPUTER TAKES OVER. YOU THEN MUST COME TO A FULL COMPLETE STOP BEFORE THE COMPUTER WILL RETURN CONTROL TO THE DRIVER. IF YOU ARE MAKING A TURN WHEN THE CAR RADICALLY SLOWS, YOU COULD VERY EASILY LOOSE CONTROL. WHEN THE PAVEMENT IS WET OR SLIPPERY, THE PROBLEM IS GREATLY INCREASED. YOU ARE TOTALLY AT THE MERCY OF AN INSANE COMPUTER. FEEL FREE TO CONTACT ME IF YOU NEED ANY FURTHER INFORMATION. I WAS DRIVING AT 30 MPH AND LOOKING TO CHANGE LANES. I BACKED OFF THE THROTTLE TO LET ONE CAR PASS. JUST WHEN THERE WAS AN OPENING IN TRAFFIC AND I WAS READY TO ACCELERATE, THE COMPUTER TOOK FULL CONTROL OF THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE DOWNSHIFTED TO FIRST GEAR AND RAPIDLY SLOWED TO 10 MPH. AT THIS POINT THERE WAS NO LONGER AN OPENING IN TRAFFIC AND I HAD TO COME TO A COMPLETE STOP IN THE MIDDLE OF THE ROAD AND WAIT FOR ANOTHER OPENING IN TRAFFIC. I HAVE AN EXCELLENT DRIVING RECORD AND I DID NOT ACCOMPLISH THIS BY DOING STUPID THINGS LIKE COMING TO A DEAD STOP IN THE MIDDLE OF THE ROAD FOR NO REASON. I CONTINUED ON. A QUARTER OF A MILE DOWN THE ROAD I BACKED OFF THE THROTTLE TO SLOW FOR A CURVE. AGAIN THE COMPUTER TOOK FULL CONTROL OF THE VEHICLE. WHEN I WENT TO ACCELERATE, THE VEHICLE BOGGED TERRIBLY. FOR THE NEXT 5 SECONDS I HAD ABSOLUTELY NO THROTTLE RESPONSE. AGAIN I AM SLOWING FOR NO REASON AND CREATING A HAZARD. I CONTINUED ON. TWO MILES DOWN THE ROAD I STOPPED FOR A TRAFFIC LIGHT. I WAS LOOKING TO MAKE A HALF LEFT. WHEN THE LIGHT TURNED GREEN, I EASED FORWARD AT TWO MILES AN HOUR WAITING FOR AN OPENING IN TRAFFIC. WHEN THERE WAS AN OPENING IN TRAFFIC, I BEGAN MY TURN AND STEPPED ON THE GAS. THE VEHICLE CONTINUED AT THE SAME SPEED AND THEN BEGAN TO ACCELERATE VERY SLOWLY. I NEARLY GOT HIT BY AN ONCOMING CAR. THE OTHER DRIVER DID NOT EXPECT ME TO CONTINUE MY TURN AT 2 MPH. I CONTINUED ON. ANOTHER TWO MILES DOWN THE ROAD, THE VEHICLE FAILED AGAIN. I WAS EASING FORWARD AT 2 MPH, WAITING FOR AN OPENING IN TRAFFIC TO MAKE A RIGHT TURN. WHEN IT WAS CLEAR I BEGAN MY TURN AND GAVE THE CAR THROTTLE. AGAIN THE CAR FAILED TO ACCELERATE. I WAS THEN FORCE TO COME TO A COMPLETE STOP AND WAIT FOR A VERY LARGE OPENING IN TRAFFIC. AGAIN THE DRIVERS BEHIND ME ARE WONDERING WHY I AM STOPPING FOR NO REASON. NEW 2011 CHEVROLET CRUZE. 270 MILES ON ODOMETER. ENTERING MY GARAGE AND STEPPED ON BRAKES AND CARE WOULD NOT STOP. RELEASE BRAKE AND REAPPLIED AND CAR STOPPED. TOOK TO DEALER WHO TESTED AND FOUND NO PROBLEM BUT WHEN TECHNICIAN WAS TAKING CAR INTO BAY TO INSTALL MUDFLAPS PROBLEM RE-OCCURRED.
