For the airbag the car was sold to me without a working airbag. It’s in the steering wheel (I have been told this by a Chevrolet dealership) and the part that is broken is the part that will make it inflate in case of crash. This is scary to me. I was just in my first (and hopefully only) accident a month before in a more steely car and while no airbags were deployed it still hurts. The second issue is with the fuel pump or sensor - the coding is very unsure but the dash (including the mechanical gauge) says the car will go from half tank to empty on an 8 mile drive. It has no leaks on the underside and I had it into the mechanic twice. The second time because it stumbled and stalled at a stop light. Before dying - half tank. August 6th they just scanned it with their computer I got no paperwork from them. On the 15th I didn’t get any paperwork either. I will include the shop’s number.
I wanted to file this because I feel this a safety concern. My vehicle has always been kept up on maintenance. One day out no where it started acting up my 2013 Chevy Cruze Ls. I had a shop come back after they did a diagnostic that is was a faulty throttle body sensor and Pcv. I have issues with it shutting off and I’ll have to coast it to stop.What I’m not understanding how can there be recalls for my vechicle same problems same make/model but it’s not showing my vehicle matching up with my Vin #.I do have all the supporting documents and paperwork stating these issues.
Water pump, cooling system. There’s a recall on this system already but not for my vin. The service bulletin describes 100% off issues im having yes manufacture will not help because my vin isn’t attached to service bulletin. Car over heat constantly, I’ve pretty much replaced the entire cooling system twice now. Airbags also faulty. The entire passenger side of vehicle was hit by fedex truck not long after being rear-ended and an adjuster claiming car 95% totaled,( yet still ended up rebuilding it) no airbags deployed in both situations

Air Bag passenger rear impact sensor failed. Discovered due to warning light. Component replaced at dealership. Vehicle has 25,360 miles on it.
THE CAR AT RANDOM WILL HAVE A MESSAGE COME UP THAT SAYS AIRBAG SENSOR. THE CAR SHUTS DOWN ON YOU AND WILL NOT START UNTIL CAR IS PUT IN PARK, RAISE HOOD, THEN ROLL DOWN DRIVER WINDOW IN TRAFFIC. THIS SOMETIMES WORK FIRST TRY BUT NOT ALWAYS. THIS CAUSE A HUGE SAFETY ISSUE. IF THE AIRBAG DEPLOYS I COULD POTENTIALLY BE LEFT PARALYZED. SINCE I'VE HAD A CERVICAL FUSION

CHEVY CRUZE 2013 LTZ TURBO, I HAVE THE PAPERWORK STATING IT IS TURBO. I TOOK IT TO A DEALERSHIPS BECAUSE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON. I WAS TOLD IT WAS FINE. THEY CLEARED EVERYTHING. I HAVE BEEN TOLD DIFFERENT THINGS WHETHER IT HAS TURBO OR NOT. THE TURBO WAS SUPPOSEDLY CHECKED SEVERAL TIMES SINCE I BOUGHT IT. THE MECHANIC AT DEALERSHIP SAID IT DID NOT HAVE TURBO. I ASKED THE HEAD MECHANIC TO DRIVE THE CAR WITH ME IN IT. HE DID, THE HEAD MECHANIC CONVINCED ME IT HAD TURBO AND IT WAS WORKING FINE, I SAID IT DOESN'T ACT LIKE IT TO ME, HE SAID THIS IS ALL ITS GOT AND THAT'S IT, THE CAR IS FINE. THE HEAD MECHANIC SAID IT WAS FINE, I SAID SOMETHING IS NOT RIGHT, HE CONVINCED EVERYTHING WAS AND TO PUSH THE CLEAR BUTTON WHEN IT WOULD BE AND IT WOULD BE FINE. THIS HAPPENED BETWEEN 2014 AND 2018 THIS HAS HAPPENED OVER THE YEARS. I WAS TOLD TO BASICALLY TOUCH THE CLEAR BUTTON. CODES STARTED TO POP UP; IT STARTED WITH THE WINDOW. I WAS TOLD TO HIT CLEAR BUTTON WHEN THIS HAPPENS, SO I DID. THEN CHECK ENGINE CODES POP UP ON DASH SAYING: ROLE WINDOW DOWN AND BACK UP, CHECK TRANSMISSION, KEY REMOTE NOT DETECTED, START WITH REMOTE START, CHECK AIR BAGS, IT HAS DONE THIS OFF AND ON FOR A SEVERAL YEARS, OFF AND ON . NOW THIS WEEK IT GOT REALLY BAD TO THE POINT THE CAR JUST SHUTS OFF, THEN IT WILL NOT START, UNTIL I TOUCH THE CLEAR BUTTON OR I HAVE TO UNHOOK THE BATTERY OTHERWISE THE DASH WILL NOT TURN OFF AND I CAN'T START IT. I TOOK IT TO HAVE CODES CHECKED AND MASS FLOW SENSOR , THEN IT SAID VAPOR CANISTER PURGE VALVE THEN MAP SENSOR, I REPLACED ALL, THE CAR STILL ACTS THE SAME. CODES STILL APPEAR ON DASH. START THE CAR IT SEEMS OK, THEN YOU DRIVE IT AND THE ENGINE JUST SHUTS OFF AND CODES START TO APPEAR AGAIN. SHOULD THIS BE CHECKED INTO. I CAN'T FIND RECORDS, I WILL TRY, BUT I CAN TELL YOU DEALERSHIPS.

DROVE TO WORK IN THE MORNING AS USUAL WITH NO CHECK ENGINE LIGHTS, CAR SAT IN THE PARKING DURING THE DAY WENT OUT TO DRIVE HOME AT THE END OF THE DAY AND THE AIR BAG TROUBLE LIGHT IN ON. TOOK CAR THE GM DEALERSHIP TO HAVE THE CODE DIAGNOSED AND DEALERSHIP INFORMS ME THAT THE AIRBAG AND CONNECTING AIRBAG HARNESS WILL NEED TO BE REPLACED DUE TO THE FACT THE AIRBAG WILL NOT RECALIBRATE AND IS NOT COMMUNICATING WITH THE COMPUTER.

I BELIEVE THEIR IS A PROBLEM WITH THE BRAKING SYSTEM OR THE VACUUM SYSTEM IN THE BRAKES AND I AM NOT THE FIRST PERSON THAT THIS HAS HAPPENED TO IN A CRUZE, I LOOKED IT UP AFTER IT HAPPENED AND I FOUND A FEW OTHER STORIES OF THE SAME THING HAPPENING.

IT APPEARED THAT THE VEHICLE LOST POWER, SIMILAR IN NATURE TO THE MOST RECENT IGNITION DEFECTS ON OTHER GM VEHICLES. DUE TO LOSS OF BRAKING ABILITY, THE VEHICLE WENT STRAIGHT OFF ROADWAY AND CRASHED CAUSING SIGNIFICANT PERSONAL INJURY TO THE DRIVER. FURTHER, THE AIRBAG DID NOT DEPLOY. WE CONTACTED GM, AND AGREED TO ALLOW GM REPRESENTATIVES INVESTIGATE THE INCIDENT BY DOWNLOADING THE ESIS INFORMATION, WITH THE AGREEMENT THAT GM WOULD PROVIDE THE OWNER WITH THE RESULTS OF SAID INVESTIGATION IN A READILY UNDERSTANDABLE FORMAT. AFTER DOWNLOADING THE INFORMATION, GM DENIED ANY LIABILITY FOR THE INCIDENT, AND REFUSED TO PROVIDE THE OWNER WITH THE RESULTS OF ITS INVESTIGATION IN A FORMAT THAT WAS READILY UNDERSTANDABLE. WE WERE DRIVING HOME ON A HIGHWAY AT DARK WHEN WE HIT A BLACK ANGUS BULL WHICH WAS APPROXIMATELY 1000 POUNDS. IMMEDIATELY AFTER WE HIT IT, IT ROLLED UP ONTO THE PASSENGER SIDE AND CRASHED THRU THE WINDSHIELD INJURING MYSELF (THE PASSENGER IN THE FRONT). I HAD MULTIPLE FACIAL INJURIES AND GLASS CHARD INJURES AND WAS TAKEN BY AMBULANCE TO A HOSPITAL WHERE I WAS INPATIENT FOR 10 DAYS, 5 OF THOSE IN INTENSIVE CARE. THE MOST SEVERE OF MY INJURIES WERE FRACTURE OF MY ORBITAL FLOOR, FRACTURE OF MY NASAL BONE, FRACTURE OF MY MALAR AND MAXILLARY BONES, OPEN WOUND TO MY LIP AND MULTIPLE BRUISES AND CUTS. ALL FOUR OF US WERE WEARING OUR SEAT BELTS AND OUT OF 10 AIRBAGS THAT THE CAR HAD, NOT ONE WENT OFF. THE FRONT END OF THE CAR WAS SEVERELY DAMAGED AND WE LOST POWER TO THE CAR AS SOON AS WE HIT THE COW (NO FLASHERS, LIGHTS, ETC) OUR CAR WAS TOTALED AND WE NOW HAVE MULTIPLE MEDICAL BILLS TO ACCOUNT FOR.
