The contact owns a 2014 Chevrolet Cruze. The contact stated that while driving approximately 46 MPH, a Chevrolet Impala rear-ended the vehicle, causing the vehicle to flip over and slide into the woods. There were no warning lights illuminated. The contact was unable to exit the vehicle at first but was later able to exit through the rear window. The driver was able to walk out of the woods to the highway to obtain assistance. Upon research, the contact associated the failure with NHTSA Campaign Number: 14V372000 (Air Bags). The air bag warning light was turning on and off days prior to the failure. There was an abnormal odor coming from the vehicle. The contact stated that several air bags deployed, trapping the contact in the vehicle. The contact sustained an extremely deep gash on her leg from the air bag. Medical attention was provided at the hospital. There was no reported fire. A Police report was filed but was not provided to the contact. The vehicle was towed to an unknown location. vehicle has a recall for a few years already and dealer is saying that parts are not available.I have call multiple time and different dealers already and all of them have the same answer. time is passing by and Chevrolet Motor Company has not come with a solution to correct the problem.This make us feel unsafe to drive this vehicle. If they are not going to come to a solution to this recall and letting time pass for vehicle to get older and be junk out by the consumer so they can save a buck and sticky to the consumer once again. What is the purpose for the NHTSA get funded by the consumer if nothing will get done by Cherolet.

Recall on my car has no remedy and has had a safety recall for 7 months. I have tried to contact both chevy and GM for a solution as I do not feel safe driving my car and they both told me I just have to wait. So now I am unable to drive my car out of fear for the safety of myself and others, and they will provide no solution other than to just wait and allow my car to be unused for an undetermined amount of time.

Air bags did not deploy in a serious wreck, also with the seat belts not properly securing. First week I bought it. It shut off on the interstate because it was overheating. Ac compressor was broke so it got replace. The fan motor does not spin right. When my air/heater is on my engine make a LOUD noise (since the day I bought it). Cooling system has been replaced 4 times. Overall terrible car and everything needs to be recalled on it. Not safe to drive.

Now when I drive into my driveway it may turn off because of the curb, when I turn into work it may turn off because there is a small area where the road has small holes.

EVERY TIME I TUNED THE KEY TO THE OFF POSITION AND THEN TURNED IT TO ACCESSORY, THE DASH DISPLAYS SERVICE AIR BAG AND SERVICE POWER STEERING. THE WINDOWS, DOOR LOCKS, TRUCK RELEASE WILL NOT WORK. I HAD TO CALL MY INSURANCE COMPANY AND SET UP A TOW TO GET THE CAR BACK HOME. I HAD TO BE AT WORK AT 7AM THAT DAY, I WORKED 16 HOURS, AND DIDN'T GET HOME TILL 1:30AM ON SEPTEMBER 9TH. TAKATA RECALL FOR AIRBAGS ON A 2014 CHEVY CRUZE. AIR BAG FAILED TO FINISH DEPLOYMENT AFTER BEING TRIGGERED. IT EVOLVED TO THE FOLLOWING ISSUES: RADIO CONTROL PANEL GOING OUT WITH NO VOLUME CONTROL BESIDES THE STEERING WHEEL, STATIC ON THE RADIO, A WARNING THAT PARK ASSIST NEEDED TO BE SERVICED (VEHICLE DOES NOT HAVE PARK ASSIST), HEADLIGHTS WOULD NOT TURN OFF UPON THE VEHICLE BEING TURNED OFF. THE "SOLUTION" AS THERE WERE SO MANY ERRORS THAT RANDOMLY STARTED POPPING UP (MIND YOU, MY CAR WAS SERVICED LESS THAN A MONTH AGO) IS A $1500 CHANGE OF A SENSOR OR UNPLUG THE BACKUP CAMERA PERMANENTLY. THIS CLEARLY IS A MANUFACTURER DEFECT, AS WHY ALL OF A SUDDEN WOULD THE CAR SUDDENLY THINK I HAVE FEATURES THAT I DON'T EVEN HAVE ON THE CAR.

DRIVING DOWN A ROAD ON THE FRIDAY MORNING. WHEN A DEER POPPED UP IN FRONT OF ME. I HIT THE DEER ON CRUISE CONTROL GOING 70 MPH; BUT WAS HARD BRAKING TO AVOID THE DEER. ON A SIDE NOTE, I HAVE OWNED THIS CAR FOR 2 MONTHS NOW AND HAVE ONLY BEEN ABLE TO DRIVE IT FOR APPROXIMATELY 17 DAYS BECAUSE I HAVE TO KEEP TAKING IT BACK TO THE SHOP TO BE WORKED ON FOR MALFUNCTIONS IN OTHER SYSTEMS OF THE BRAND NEW CAR. THEY ADVISED THAT STILL HAD NO INSTRUCTIONS FROM GM. IT HAS NOW BEEN OVER A WEEK AND HAVE NOT HEARD FROM THE DEALER . I CANNOT BELIEVE THAT IT IS TAKING SO LONG TO GIVE INSTRUCTIONS TO THE DEALER. IN MARCH GM HAD REALIZED THEY HAD A PROBLEM . GMC SENT OUT AN INSPECTOR AND HE WAS SURPRISED. A REPORT WAS PREPARED AND ULTIMATELY IT WAS STATED THAT THE CAR WAS EXPERIENCING A ROLL OVER EVENT. HOWEVER, THE DATA IN THE REPORT DOES NOT SUPPORT GMCS CONTENTION. ONE MAJOR ERROR DISCOVERED ON THE REPORT WAS THAT THE SENSOR SAID IT WAS A SMALL ADULT SITTING IN THE PASSENGER SEAT. THAT ADULT WEIGHED 265 POUNDS OR MORE AT THAT TIME. NEXT ONE OF THE DATA RECORDS SAYS THE EVENT TOOK PLACE ON 7/5/2013. ONE OF THE EVENT RECORDERS STATES THE CAR WAS ROLLING IN A CLOCKWISE FLASHING BUT ANOTHER ONE SHOWS THE CAR WAS ROLLING HEAD TO TOE. FINALLY, THE GRAPHICAL DATA SHOWS NO ROLLOVER IN ONE SENSOR AND A COUNTERCLOCKWISE ROTATION IN THE OTHER. GMC STATED THAT THEY WOULD FIX THE CAR FOR FREE AND OFFERED TO PAY MEDICAL FEES AND BILLS. THE PASSENGER SUFFERED A BROKEN COLLAR BONE, A RUPTURED EAR DRUM AND BLOOD PRESSURE ON SITE OF 220/140. THE VEHICLE SENSOR STATED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS HIT ON THE SIDE (BROADSIDED). THE DATA RECORDER STATES THAT BOTH AIRBAGS WENT OFF AT THE SAME TIME, BUT THERE WAS A THREE SECOND DELAY BETWEEN THE PASSENGER AIRBAG, THEN THE DRIVER AIRBAG. THE PASSENGER AIRBAG INDICATOR STATUS WAS SET TO THE OFF POSITION, THUS NO PASSENGER AIRBAG SHOULD HAVE DEPLOYED PER MANUFACTURER SPECS. NO REAR CURTAIN AIRBAGS DEPLOYED. THE REPORT SHOWS THE AIRBAG DEPLOYED OUTSIDE THE STANDARDS SET FOR AIRBAG DEPLOYMENT. *TR
