What happened 1. A dashboard message has been popping up since December 11 on my 2014 Chevy Cruz car. I only have 77,000 miles on it. The message indicates “service tracking control “ 2. I took the car to the dealer and they said they did a number of repairs and I was charged 900. Some odd dollars to fix some parts to re-Zoll Veve the tracking control issue. 3. I let them know that that message kept coming back up. 4. After several times of taking it back to the dealer paying another $78 for another part they still do not know what the problem is. 5. The main concern is that the message displays over the digital speed control and I cannot determine how fast I am driving. The dealer does not know how to fix this problem. It is a safety concern because I cannot tell how fast I am driving I have I cannot get this problem fixed, and the dealer does not know how to resolve the problem.

Recall on my car has no remedy and has had a safety recall for 7 months. I have tried to contact both chevy and GM for a solution as I do not feel safe driving my car and they both told me I just have to wait. So now I am unable to drive my car out of fear for the safety of myself and others, and they will provide no solution other than to just wait and allow my car to be unused for an undetermined amount of time.

Hello, I bought my car used from a dealership called Cody's Classic Cars in wisconsin. I bought it at 26,000 miles. I saw on the carfax report that there was a recall concerning the headgasket that was said to be repaired back in 2014. I have had the car since 2021 and have driven very little, currently I am less than 53,000 miles. There seems to be a coolant leak we cannot find. We replaced the overflow container and that did not fix the problem. The top of the oil dipstick has a bit of clumping which would indicate coolant leaking into the engine. I have not been in any accident and have maintained my vehicle. I was just wondering if there was any warranty on the recall work done. If the headgasket was recalled and "fixed" but it is an issue again, will the manufacturer cover the repair cost?

At [XXX] am on [XXX] the alarm sounded on my car that was parked beside my front porch. I was confused ; as I never locked my car and did not understand why my alarm would be going off. I opened the front door and the front of the car and underneath the engine was in flames. It was burning under the hood and burning and sparking behind the passenger side front tire It was very close to my home so I woke my son and we grabbed a few belongings and went out the back door. I was sure the fire would consume my car and our home. I immediately called 911 and the local fire department arrived and put it out but not before the windshield and all the tires exploded. This could have been deadly. There is absolutely no reason for my car to catch on fire. The police dept was notified and they reached out to me asking if I had full coverage insurance on my car that had burned. Unfortunately I did not. The car was paid for and I had liability insurance so I totally lost my car for an unknown reason. I looked for recalls , I called the Chevrolet company and asked if they could do an investigation but no they did not. There are recalls on earlier models of this car for combustion fires but not this model year. I wanted to sue the company as this was very traumatic and if this car had been in the garage it would have been a terrible disaster. I did not have time or money to spend on a lawsuit at the time I am writing this now because this needs to be on a public forum for other owners of this make and model car. I have lost trust in the Chevrolet company and will never ever buy another GM product. Two years later I still have no answers and nobody seemed to care that my car caught on fire for no reason in the early morning hours while we were sleeping during a rainy cold February morning and had not been driven since 9 pm the night before. I came across an article that somewhat describes the details of my incident. However I was told there was no correlation with the recall from GM below from 2011/2012. I have had my 2014 Chevy Cruze for 2 years now and have kept up with regular maintenance. My vehicle rocks back and forth while on the brakes, there’s an constant issue with the traction control system, my automatic lights don’t work (I have to many turn on the light in order for the brake lights to turn on), the vehicle shakes side to side when braked, and so much more. When I take the vehicle to be looked at every mechanic and shop tells me there’s nothing wrong or they don’t know.

my headgasket blow due to excessive overheating or other problems i’m not 100 percent sure. i’m not sure if my vehicle is available for inspection upon request. my head gasket blown on the highway, this is very unsafe due to cars around me going excessive speeds. chevrolet recalled some 2013/2014 cruze models due too problems with the head gasket. it’s UNKNOWN if my vehicle has been inspected by the manufacturer, police, insurance representatives or others. right before my head gasket blown my engine light cut on.

The heater blend door actuator and or lever gear for the blend door actuator that controls the windshield defrost failed and this raises a major safety concern as it strictly limits your visibility. This is becoming a known issue on the Cruze as i have seen and heard of the problem repeatedly online in the cruze forums. This needs to be seriously addressed to general motors and be taken care of. Plus the cost to fix it is over $1,300.00 as the entire dash needs to come out. Please address this safety concern.

When the car is stopped, the brakes and in Drive or Reverse, the engine jumps-hiccup. The car move slightly forward every time. It has no check-engine light or code. The mechanics all said it could be a manufacturer defect. It happens mostly in the morning. Most of the time it works properly. The car has 45,000 miles. Also the belt tensioner has been raplaced two times in a month, Is still giving issues.

My radio was getting hot all the time I had a touch screen the dash would get hot and the glove box on top got hot. The sides of consoles would get hot to. I think my car had no engine shield it only happen when my car was running other ppl with 2014 cruzes say the samething.

My engine light came on and I took it to two different local mechanics and both confirmed the issue was the catalyst converter. One informed there was a recall and after some research found it was true. I called my dealership and they told me it was vin specific and that mine was not pulling up any recalls. I search on this website and indeed no recalls. This issue started at around 50k miles and they did not want to take any responsibility. It is what it is but I plan to drive the car like that as long as I can.

THE CAR IS A 2014 CHEVROLET CRUZE LT THAT WAS JUST PURCHASED FROM A USED CAR DEALER AND WITHIN THE FIRST WEEK THE ENGINE RETARDS ITSELF AND THROWS A CHECK ENGINE LIGHT. THE CODE READS P0325 WHEN READ. THE WIRING HAS BEEN CHECKED OUT AND HAS NOTHING WRONG. THE KNOCK SENSOR HAS BEEN REPLACED TWICE. AFTER BEING REPLACED, THE CODE WILL GO AWAY ANYWHERE FROM A FEW MINUTES TO A MONTH AND THEN THE SAME ISSUE STARTS ALL OVER AGAIN.

THE HOSE WAS REPLACED, AND IT WAS OK FOR AWHILE, BUT THE PROBLEM HAS REOCCURRED TWICE MORE. THE ENGINE GASKET COVER HAD TO BE REPLACED AS WELL, AND LOOKS LIKE IT IS LEAKING AGAIN, AND OVER THE LAST 3 YEARS RANDOMLY, A MESSAGE WILL APPEAR THAT STATES TO SERVICE STABILTRAK. I'VE HAD A COIL PACK REPLACED AND THE MESSAGE WENT AWAY, BUT REAPPEARS EVERY NOW AND THEN, AND UPON START UP OF CAR MOST DAYS, RUNS VERY ROUGH AND I HAVE TO WAIT A MINUTE BEFORE PUTTING INTO GEAR. TO DUPLICATE THE ISSUE: 1 - OPERATE AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION FOR AT LEAST 40 MINUTES AT EXPRESSWAY SPEEDS OF APPROX 70MPH 2 - WHEN EXITING EXPRESSWAY RAMP THE VEHICLE WILL DOWNSHIFT. 3 - SOMETIMES DURING DOWN SHIFTING - THERE IS A LURCH OR IMPACT LIKE FEELING SO INTENSE THAT THE DRIVER MAY BELIEVE THEY WERE REAR ENDED BY ANOTHER VEHICLE. THIS MATTER WAS BROUGHT TO THE ATTEMPT OF GM DEALERS AND GM CORPORATE AND THEY HAVE FAILED TO RESOLVE THE ISSUE. DEALER 1 RESPONSE WAS SIMILAR TO "IT'S YOUR DRIVING HABITS" AND "WE RESET THE COMPUTER SO IT CAN RE-LEARN HOW YOU DRIVE". THIS FAILED TO RESOLVE ISSUE. DEALER 2 RESPONSE - WE CAN DUPLICATE THE ISSUE - THEN LATER WE CAN'T DUPLICATE THE ISSUE. DEALER ALSO ADVISED THEY EMAILED GM FOR ADDITIONAL SUPPORT. GM STATES THEY NEVER RECEIVED THE EMAIL. VEHICLE HAS SPENT GREATER THAN 30 DAYS IN THE SHOP FOR THE TRANSMISSION LIKE ISSUES. AS A FIREFIGHTER - IT IS MY PROFESSIONAL OPINION THAT THIS CONDITION MAY RESULT IN SUBSTANTIAL HARM TO THE DRIVER OR OCCUPANTS OF VEHICLE IF THIS CONDITION HAPPENS WHILE OPERATING THE MOTOR VEHICLE ON ICE OR SNOW AND POSSIBLY RAIN LIKE CONDITIONS. THE RADIO FREEZES UP WHILE I AM DRIVING. NONE OF THE RADIO BUTTONS FUNCTION. I CANNOT TURN THE RADIO OFF, CHANGE CHANNEL, ADJUST VOLUME, ETC. I JUST HAD THE SPECIAL COVERAGE REPAIR DONE FOR THE WATER INTRUSION ON THE SIDE DETECTION SYSTEM. THE RADIO WORKED PERFECTLY FINE BEFORE THE SPECIAL COVERAGE WORK WAS PERFORMED. I WENT BACK TO THE DEALER AND THEY INDICATED THAT IT IS NOT RELATED TO THE WATER INTRUSION AND IT WOULD BE $120 JUST TO CONNECT THE COMPUTER TO THE CAR. HE TOLD ME IF IT IS THE RADIO, YOU WILL HAVE TO PAY FOR IT OUT OF POCKET. I SAW A NEW SPECIAL COVERAGE BULLETIN ABOUT THE NEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE CLAMP NOT BEING ABLE TO REMAIN TIGHT TO THE BATTERY TERMINAL ON THE INTERNET. HAD STARTED NOTICING THAT WHEN I WOULD START MY CAR MY RADIO WOULD SOMETIMES TAKE A LONG TIME TO COME ON. EVENTUALLY WOKE UP ONE DAY TO START MY CAR AND IT WOULD NOT START. THE SUNROOF GLASS SPONTANEOUSLY EXPLODED WHILE DRIVING. GLASS RAINED DOWN ON ME WHILE I WAS DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY. THE EXPLOSIVE SOUND ALMOST MADE ME LOSE CONTROL OF THE VEHICLE. CHEVROLET HAS A RECALL ON THE 2014 CRUZE FOR THE SUNROOF GLASS. THE RECALL SAYS THE GLASS THAT WAS INSTALLED IS SUPPOSEDLY TOO THIN AND MAY FAIL. THE DEALER SAYS THAT MY VIN IS NOT PART OF THE RECALL. I BELIEVE THAT THE SUNROOF GLASS RECALL NEEDS TO BE EXPANDED BECAUSE MY GLASS FAILED IN A SIMILAR MANNER TO THOSE UNDER THE RECALL. THE FAILED GLASS WAS BOWED UPWARD INDICATING THAT IT WAS AN INTERNAL FAILURE NOT A ROCK HITTING IT.

I TRIED TO PUT MY CAR IN DRIVE, BUT THE ENGINE WOULD REV AND I WAS NOT ABLE TO MOVE FORWARD. THE D ON THE DASHBOARD WOULD JUST BLINK. I HAD TO TURN THE CAR OFF AND BACK ON TO MAKE IT STOP.

WHEN DRIVING IN A STRAIGHT LINE AT HIGHWAY SPEED, THE VEHICLE WILL NOT MAKE SMALL STEERING CORRECTIONS. WHEN A SLIGHT CORRECTION IS ATTEMPTED, A "NOTCH" OR "HITCH" IS FELT IN THE STEERING WITH INCREASED RESISTANCE IN THE WHEEL, UPON OVERCOMING THE "NOTCH" IN THE STEERING, THE VEHICLE OVERCORRECTS AND MUST BE BROUGHT BACK. WHILE THE BEHAVIOR OCCURS IN A VARIETY OF TEMPERATURES AND CLIMATE CONDITIONS, IT SEEMS ONLY TO OCCUR ONCE THE VEHICLE HAS REACHED OPERATING TEMPERATURE AND REMAINED THERE FOR 30-60 MINUTES OR MORE. THE BEHAVIOR ALSO DOES NOT OCCUR IN LOW-SPEED DRIVING OR ROUTES, SUCH AS CURVES, THAT REQUIRE CONSTANT STEERING INPUT, BUT ONLY WHEN SMALL CORRECTIONS ARE NEEDED DURING STRAIGHT-LINE HIGHWAY DRIVING. WHILE THE ISSUE POSES ONLY A MINOR RISK ON DRY, OPEN ROAD, IT COULD CAUSE SERIOUS DAMAGE OR INJURY IN TIGHT TRAFFIC OR POOR ROAD CONDITIONS SUCH AS SNOW OR ICE. *TR
