The climate controls, including the seat warmers, located on the control panel directly below the radio/stereo controls on my 2010 Chevy Equinox stopped working. As a result, the ability to control the temperature and direction of heated/cooled air was lost. I tolerated the conditions for several seasons, winter being the toughest due to temp and the need for defrost, until buying a new car (as an addition, not a replacement vehicle). As my oldest child became of age to begin driving, I've attempted to prepare the car for his driving and safety. In researching how to repair this malfunction, I came across a recall that addresses this exact problem; however, upon taking my Chevy Equinox to my local Chevy dealership, I discovered that my VIN is not on the list for this repair. The coincidence that my car falls in the category of vehicles included for this recall (Bulletin No.: 09298C), but is not included is confusing, to say the least. There were no warning lamps or messages prior to this failure that began in 2019.

The contact was informed that there were no open recalls on the VIN for the failure. Additionally, the contact was advised to take the vehicle where the vehicle was purchased for the repair. The contact stated that the vehicle had several failures since purchasing the vehicle three years ago. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired by an independent mechanic or dealer. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was unknown.

The contact owns a 2010 Chevrolet Equinox. The contact stated that on several occasions while driving at various speeds, there was an abnormal fuel odor throughout the vehicle. The contact stated that while driving, the vehicle inadvertently decelerated and stalled. Several unknown warning lights were illuminated. The contact stated that she waited approximately 30 minutes before restarting the vehicle. Additionally, one quart of engine oil needed to be added to the vehicle every one to two months. The contact stated that after inserting the key into the Ignition, the key became stuck. The contact had to manipulate the key to be able to remove the key from the ignition switch. The vehicle was towed to an independent mechanic where it was diagnosed that the variable solenoid valve and intake and exhaust needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The dealer nor the manufacturer were notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 192,000.

When I turn off my Chevrolet Equinox and leave the key in the ignition the vehicle attempts to restart itself numerous times. The lights on the dash all come on for a brief moment and you can hear it act like it’s going to start but then everything cuts off a second later. This has occurred everytime I turn my vehicle off and do not remove the key. I am always sitting in the vehicle when the key is in the ignition.

Engine cylinders & seals are faulty and easily crack causing the car to STOP /STALL WHILE IN DRIVE! I NEARLY HIT A SEMI-TRUCK BECAUSE THE CAR STOPED MID DRIVE AND THE CAR JERKED SO HARD THAT THE WHEEL JERKED TO THE SIDE AND THEN LOCKED!! AS THE CAR CONTINUED TO GLIDE IN A CIRCLE BECAUSE IT DIDNT STOP ALL THE WAY I COULD NOT TURN THE WHEEL TO AVOID THE SEMI, WHAT SAVED MY LIFE WAS THE CLEAR ROAD THAT ALLOWED THE SEMI TO GO AROUND ME!! MY CAR LITERALLY SAT IN THE MIDDLE OF THE STREET ACROSS THE YELLOW LINE! This issue persists and corrupts the ENTIRE fuel system, catalytic conveyer, resonator, and timing chain SIMULTANEOUSLY! This causes each owner to replace the entire engine because it simply can not be fixed. Fixing or repairing one of the components does NOT fix the issue or stop the engine from failing, all must be replaced! Even after replacing it all THE SAME THING HAPPENS TO THE NEW ENGINE! This is a engine malfunction. The entire car/engine/blueprint should be destroyed and recalled!!! Even the mechanics and dealers are asking why these vehicles still exist and saying that the engine for this car is junk and it’s so common for this to happen to the point that there are NO USED ENGINES FOR UNDER $2500!!! Majority of the mechanics are even REFUSING to repair/replace the engine in this car because it’s a waste of time & money because the next engine NEW OR USED will do the same EXACT thing!! NO ONE IS GOING TO PAY $10,000+ for a NEW ENGINE or even $2500+ for a USED ENGINE PLUS $2000+ FOR LABOR ONLY FOR THE SAME EXACT PROBLEM TO HAPPEN AFTER SPENDING $5000 - $12000+

Visibility: Defroster/Defogger 2009-12-18 Recall#09V489000 Software computer module Center console will malfunction causing the radio, heater, radio, a/c and defroster to quick working. Putting the vehicle to be a safety hazard when not working, can result in crash without warning. Dealer refuses to fix.

Reported to GMC about how my car radio goes out, a/c would turn itself on and blow hot air also the door locking itself after being unlocked. I was told there were no issues reported on what I was calling for to only read simething different online. So I took it to the dealership and told them how Air went from working to not working and took to dealership and was told I had a leak in my evaporator core. I informed them I had the freon checked and the level was correct and also it didn't need to be charged but the compressor wasn't coming on. Also called an independent mechanic who said that year was full of issues and if my levels were correct that I didn't have a leak but something else going on. Took to dealership on 5/16 also called mechanic the same day. I made the appointment last Thursday for the dealership to look at after noticing the problem.

CAR CONSUMES ENTIRELY TO MUCH OIL. EVERY WEEK I AM PUTTING 2 QUARTS OF OIL IN EVEN AFTER GETTING A FRESH OIL CHANGE. ENGINE IS LOUD/RATTLING HAS BEEN EVER SINCE I PURCHASED THE CAR. I HAVE BEEN PUTTING MONEY IN THIS CAR SINCE I PURCHASED IT. NOW CHECK ENGINE LIGHT IS ON. SAYS I NEED A NEW TIMING FROM WHAT I AM BEING TOLD THAT IS BASICALLY A NEW ENGINE. THE RADIO GOES OUT AND COMES BACK ON, YESTERDAY THE VOLUME ON THE RADIO WAS GOING UP & DOWN BY ITSELF. THE MAIN ISSUE IS A ENGINE AND THE OIL. THERE IS NO WAY THIS IS A KNOWN ISSUE WITH ALMOST EVERY COMPLIANT THAT I HAVE SEEN SO FAR AND THERE HAS BEEN NO RECALL ON THIS HOW INSANE. I WILL NEVER PURCHASE ANOTHER CAR FROM GM AGAIN! A COUPLE OF DAYS AGO I STARTED EXPERIENCING ISSUES WITH VEHICLE. AT SPEEDS OVER 60 THE STEERING WHEEL WOULD SHAKE AND WHEN COMING TO A STOP THE CAR WOULD DO A ROCKING MOTION. TODAY ON THE HIGHWAY THE CAR WAS DRIVING FINE THAN RANDOMLY A LIGHT POPPED ON THAT SAID LOW OIL CONSUMPTION TURN OFF ENGINE AND THE CAR BEGAN EXCESSIVELY SMOKING FROM UNDER HOOD. I PULLED OVER AND CHECKED I THE OIL AND IT WAS EMPTY ADDED 4 QUARTS IT WAS STILL EMPTY LOOKED UNDER CAR AND OIL HAD LEAKED EVERYWHERE. NO PRIOR WARNING LIGHTS OR CHECK OIL OR LOW OIL PRESSURE LIGHTS WERE ON. I GET PROPER OIL CHANGES WHEN DUE. 2 DAYS AFTER DRIVING THIS 2010 CHEVY EQUINOX OFF THE LOT. THE POWER STEERING PUMP GOES OUT. THE POWER STEERING HAD A WINDING NOISE SINCE IT WAS REPLACED, AND THEY TOLD ME THERE MAY JUST BE AIR IN THE LINE. AFTER RIVING IT THAT WAY FOR A MONTH TOOK IT IN TO GET THAT LOOKED AT AND THEY ENDED UP REPLACING THAT AND SAID IT WAS A FAULTY PUMP. THEN DAYS LATER ONE OF THE TIRE SENSORS GOES OUT. HAD THAT REPLACED! THEN A FEW HOURS AFTER DRIVING IT THAT SAME TIRE SENSOR GOES OUT AGAIN. THIS IS THE WORST VEHICLE THAT GENERAL MOTORS AS MADE!!!!! IT HAD NEW TIRES WHEN WE BOUGHT THIS VEHICLE AND NOT EVEN 8 MONTHS THE TWO REAR TIRES WERE MAKING THE REAR END SLIDE ALL OVER THE ROAD AND AFTER INVESTIGATING THE PROBLEM I FOUND THE TWO REAR TIRES HAD WIRES SHOWING ON THE INSIDE OF THE WHEEL TREAD ALL THE WAY AROUND THE WHEELS. TAKE IT IN AND THE MECHANIC SAID IT WAS BECAUSE WE DIDN'T HAVE A TIRE ROTATION! WELL, AFTER REPLACING THE TIRES, THEN 6 MONTHS DOWN THE ROAD THE NEW TIRES ARE IN THE EXACT SAME PLACE JUST ON THE REAR TIRES. THERE IS NO WAY THAT YOU NEED TO HAVE A TIRE ROTATION THAT OFTEN. HAD THEM REPLACED ONCE AGAIN. THE HEAT STOPPED WORKING AND ONLY BLOWS COLD AIR! FOUND OUT THAT THESE VEHICLES ARE KNOWN FOR THIS ISSUE. THAT SENSOR UP UNDER THE GLOVE BOX ISN'T STRONG ENOUGH TO OPEN/CLOSE THE VENT TO KEEP REGULATING THE HEAT CONTROL. NOW, THE 2ND SET OF TIRES HAVE THE SAME WIRES GOING AROUND THE TIRES!!!!! MAJOR SAFETY ISSUE! IF, GM DOESN'T DO SOMETHING ABOUT THESE ISSUES THEY ARE GOING TO BE FACING A LOT OF LAWSUITS OR CUSTOMERS GOING ELSEWHERE. NOW THE WIPERS STOPPED WORKING AND LIKE THE CONTROL ARMS FELL OFF UNDER THE OUTER DASH AREA!!!! TAKE THESE VEHICLES STRAIGHT TO THE JUNKYARDS. I HAD MY EQUINOX REPAIRED UNDER THE RECALL FOR OIL CONSUMPTION, YET IT IS STILL BURNING OIL. THE HEAT AND AC ARE NOT WORKING PROPERLY, TO GET HEAT I HAVE TO TURN THE DIAL BACK AND FORTH AND MAYBE IT WILL WORK MOST OF THE TIME I HAVE TO DRIVE ABOUT A HALF A MILE FOR IT TO BLOW HEAT. THE AC IS JUST NOT WORKING AT ALL. THE INFO PANEL IN THE CENTER OF THE DASH WILL GO OUT AND COME BACK ON LATER. WHILE DRIVING, THE CAR WILL JUST SLOW DOWN LIKE I'M NOT PRESSING THE ACCELERATOR AT ALL. THE TRANSMISSION SEEMS TO GET STUCK IN A GEAR CAUSING THE RPMS TO RISE AND STAY UNTIL I TAKE MY FOOT OFF OF THE ACCELERATOR. THE CAR MAKES A CLICKING SOUND WHEN TURNING. IT SHAKES AT 60 MPH. WAS DRIVING VEHICLE WHEN ALL OF A SUDDEN ENTIRE DASH LIT UP AND CAR STALLED. MESSAGES INCLUDED SERVICE STABILITRAK, SERVICE ABS, ENGINE LIGHT, AND SERVICE TRACTION CONTROL. I LOST POWER, POWER BRAKES, AND POWER STEERING AND COASTED VEHICLE TO A STOP. IT TOOK A COUPLE OF TRIES BUT FINALLY GOT THE CAR TO TURN OVER, ENGINE LIGHT REMAINED ON BUT DROVE TO DEALER. VEHICLE DID NOT DRIVE CORRECTLY WHEN ACCELERATED, IT WAS SLOW AND JERKY. WHEN I TOOK THE VEHICLE TO THE DEALER THEY TOLD ME IT WOULD BE COVERED UNDER WARRANTY, THEY PLUGGED IN THEIR TECH CODE READER AND DETERMINED IT WAS THROTTLE BODY. I WAS GIVEN A CONCIERGE VEHICLE AND INFORMED IT WOULD TAKE THEM THE WEEKEND TO FIX. WHEN I PICKED THE VEHICLE UP THEY CHARGED ME SAYING THAT IT WOULD NOT BE COVERED UNDER THE WARRANTY AND TRIED TO MAKE ME PAY FOR THE RENTAL AND I HAVE STILL NOT BEEN REIMBURSED FOR THE REPAIRS THAT SHOULD HAVE BEEN COVERED UNDER WARRANTY OR THE RENTAL CAR. POWER STEERING LOCKED UP/STOPPED WORKING WHEN TRYING TO BACK UP. WOULDN'T WORK WHEN PUT BACK IN FORWARD GEAR. HAPPENED INTERMITTENTLY AND WHEN TAKEN TO DEALER, THEY COULDN'T REPLICATE. NEXT COUPLE OF MONTHS DID THIS INTERMITTENTLY. RECENTLY, IT DID THIS REGULARLY FOR A DAY WHEN DRIVING...VERY DANGEROUS AS IT WOULD HAPPEN OFTEN WHEN EXECUTING A TURN SO CAR COULD LURCH INTO AN ADJACENT LANE AND POTENTIALLY END UP IN AN ACCIDENT. WARNING LIGHT CAME ON AND THIS TIME TOOK TO DEALER WHO TOLD ME THEY DIAGNOSED A PROBLEM THAT WOULD REQUIRE REPLACEMENT OF AT LEAST PART OF THE POWER STEERING ASSEMBLY. THIS SEEMS TO BE THE EXACT SAME ISSUE AS WHAT OCCURRED WITH COBALTS, HHR, ETC. IN THE LATEST GM RECALL AND I BELIEVE THAT THE RECALL SHOULD BE EXTENDED TO THIS MODEL YEAR AND MAKE AS WELL (IF NOT FOR OTHERS TOO!). DEALER IN ATMORE, AL DEC 2011; FIRST SIGN OF TROUBLE WAS NOTICE TO REPLACE ELECTRONIC BOARD, AND BATTERY WHICH WAS RUN DOWN & ALLEGED DUE TO FAIL., REPLACED UNDER BANK SERVICE WARRANTY, PLUS $110. FROM THAT POINT ONTHE CAR WOULD START UNATTENDED, AND PARKED, LOCKED WITH ALARM ON. ATTEMPTS TO CORRECT MEANT FIGHTING TO GET LOCK TO STAY OPEN WITH KEY, AND INSERTING SAME INTO IGNITION. CAR HAS ALSO STOPPED FOR NO REASON AT ALL,.COMPLAINT TO GN/CHEVY TWO WEEKS AGO, COMPLAINING OF BROKEN KEY AS BUTTONS HAD DROPPED OFF AND SECOND SET DID NOT WORK AT ALL. MILTON CHEVROLET AT MILTON, FL ALLEGED CORRECTED PROBLEM BY MAKING SECOND (NON-WORKING) KEY WORK. A WEEK LATER CAR PARKED, LOCKED AND ALARM SET, STARTED IN MID AFTERNOON, NO ONE NEAR AUTO OR KEYS AND ALARM RAN OFF. WE HAD TO GET KEY, ENTER AUTO AND TURN OFF IGNITION. THE DEALER WANTS THE COST OF TWO NEW KEYS TO "FIX" THE PROBLEM. I THINK THAT THE PROBLEM IS A FAULTY IGNITION SYSTEM ENTIRELY. IF CAR STOPPED RUNNING ON INTERSTATE FOR NO REASON, BRAKES, ALARM, AIR BAGS WOULD BE INOPERATIVE. THIS HAS BEEN REPORTED TO GM/CHEVROLET ABOUT 6 TIMES, A LATE AS YESTERDAY WHEN THEY DEMAND COST OF KEYS TO REPAIR PROBLEM.AT TIMES WE HAVE GONE INTO STORES AND HEARD THE ALARM GO OFF WITH NO ONE AROUND. THIS IS NOT THE INTENT OF CHEVROLET TO MEET RECALL. PLEASE ADVISE AS TO HOW THIS CAN BE RESOLVED. WHILE DRIVING THE VEHICLE THE WIPERS STOPPED FUNCTIONING MAKING IT DANGEROUS TO DRIVE. THE CENTER CONSOLE DISPLAY, RADIO AND HEATER CONTROLS, WENT OFF AND STOPPED FUNCTIONING. THIS HAS HAPPENED SEVERAL TIMES AND IS A DANGEROUS SITUATION. I HAVE HAD IT LOOKED AT BY THE DEALER AND THEY TELL ME NOTHING IS WRONG. THEY ALSO TELL ME THERE IS NO RECALL ON ANY EQUINOX FOR THESE ISSUES EVEN AFTER I RECOMMENDED THEM TO LOOK AT YOUR SITE. THEY TOLD ME TO "STOP LOOKING AT THE INTERNET FOR INFORMATION BECAUSE IT IS NO GOOD AND THAT PEOPLE DO NOTHING BUT COMPLAIN ON THE INTERNET." I CALLED THE GM CUSTOMER SERVICE CENTER TO EXPLAIN THAT TO THEM AND THEY RECOMMENDED ME TO FILE A COMPLAINT WITH NHTSA TO MAKE IT KNOWN THAT MY CAR IS HAVING THE SAME ISSUE AS THE RECALLED CARS TO POSSIBLY GET IT ADDED TO THE RECALL. I AM NOT ONLY DOING THIS BECAUSE THEY RECOMMENDED ME TO, BUT BECAUSE MY FAMILY IS AT A SAFETY RISK DRIVING THIS VEHICLE AND GM DOESN'T SEEM TO CARE. I PURCHASED A BRAND NEW EQUINOX FROM CHEVROLET IN 08/31/2010. SINCE 10/30/2010, I'VE HAD ONGOING ISSUES WITH THIS VEHICLE. TWO INCIDENTS OF WHICH, I ALMOST HAD NEAR-DEATH CAR ACCIDENTS. THIS IS THE THIRD TIME I AM IN A RENTAL CAR, TOTALING TO ABOUT A MONTH SO FAR IN RENTALS. FIRST INCIDENT IN OCTOBER, I HAD TO DRIVE WITH MY HAZARDS ON TO EVEN GET TO THE DEALERSHIP. MY SPEEDOMETER AND TECH WOULD ACCELERATE, HOWEVER, IT FELT LIKE I WAS IN NEUTRAL. IT WAS SERVICED FOR ABOUT 2-3 WEEKS AND THEY SAID THEY FIXED THE PROBLEM. THEN 2 WEEKS AGO, I HAD JUST GOT OFF A 3-LANE 65 MPH HIGHWAY, WHEN MY VEHICLE STALLED ON ME. I REMEMBER LOOKING DOWN AT THE DASH WHILE I WAS DRIVING, THE SPEEDOMETER SAID I WAS GOING 100 MPH BUT I WASN'T MOVING. I WAS NEARLY REAR-ENDED BEING ON A HIGHWAY. LUCKILY, I WAS ABLE TO GET OVER A LANE AND PULL OVER. THE CAR WOULDN'T ALLOW ME TO MOVE OR REVERSE. I WAS IN A RENTAL FOR ABOUT A WEEK WHILE THEY EXAMINED MY CAR. CHEVROLET/GM SAID THEY WERE UNABLE TO FIND ANYTHING WRONG WITH MY CAR AND FORCED ME TO RETURN THE RENTAL AND DRIVE MY CAR. I HAVE WRITTEN DOCUMENTATION STATED THEY WERE UNABLE TO FIND ANYTHING WRONG WITH MY VEHICLE. NOW THE THIRD INCIDENT, I WAS DRIVING IN PHILADELPHIA ON A WAY TO A WEDDING. MY CAR STALLED MULTIPLE TIMES, CAUSING ME TO PULL OVER ON BROAD STREET ABOUT 4 TIMES, JUST TO TURN MY CAR OFF AND ON TO ATTEMPT TO MOVE IT. THE CONSUMER STATED SHE THEN RECEIVED A RECALL LETTER REGARDING THE SOFTWARE IN THE CENTER INSTRUMENT PANEL WHICH COULD CAUSE THE HEATING, AIR CONDITION, DEFROSTER, RADIO CONTROL AS WELL AS THE PANEL ILLUMINATION TO BECOME INOPERATIVE. THE CONSUMER STATED THE LIGHTS WERE IN FACT FLICKERING AND THEN THE ENTIRE INSTRUMENT PANEL WENT OUT, POWERED ON A LITTLE AND THEN DIMMED AGAIN. *JB

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2010 CHEVROLET EQUINOX. WHILE DRIVING 35 MPH ON A SUNNY DAY THE CONTACT STATED THE INSTRUMENT PANEL STORAGE LOCK DISTORTED HIS VISION WHILE DRIVING. HE STATED THAT THE SUN REFLECTS ON THE CHROME LOCK AND IMPAIRS HIS VISION. THE CONTACT STATED HE SPOKE WITH THE DEALER AND THE MANUFACTURER AND THEY SAID THERE WAS NOTHING THEY COULD DO. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 5 AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 11,204.

I HAVE A 2010 EQUINOX LTZ WITH ABOUT 11,000 MILES ON IT. IT WAS RECENTLY IN FOR REPLACEMENT OF THE PART THAT OPERATES THE RADIO AND HEAT/AIR CONTROLS (THERE IS A RECALL ON THIS). I HAVE RECENTLY DISCOVERED THAT IF YOU HOLD DOWN THE UNLOCK BUTTON ON THE REMOTE THAT ALL FOUR WINDOWS WILL ROLL DOWN AND THE CAR WILL BE UNLOCKED. THERE IS NO DOCUMENTATION ON THIS IN THE OWNER'S MANUAL AND THE SERVICE TECHNICIAN AT THE DEALERSHIP SAYS THIS IS A BUILT-IN FEATURE TO COOL OFF THE CAR ON HOT DAYS. I CONSIDER THIS A SAFETY ISSUE BECAUSE THE REMOTE COULD ACCIDENTALLY BE ACTIVATED AS I AM LEAVING THE VEHICLE FOR AN EXTENDED PERIOD OF TIME OR AT NIGHT. *TR

THE CENTER CONSOLE (WHERE THE CONTROLS ARE FOR THE RADIO, HEATER/AC, DEFROSTER, HAZARDS, DOOR LOCKS, ETC.) INTERMITTENTLY GOES ON AND OFF, AND LOCKS UP UNEXPECTEDLY. IT FIRST OCCURRED ON 1 DEC 09, AGAIN ON 2 JAN 10, AND SEVERAL TIMES SINCE. VEHICLE EXAMINED BY LANDERS-MCLARTY CHEVROLET IN HUNTSVILLE AL, THEY WITNESSED PROBLEM BUT COULD NOT FIX OR REMEDY. THEY OPENED A TECHNICAL CASE #11124962, AND GM OPENED CASE #71-790900576. NO FIX TO DATE, ALTHOUGH THEY PROMISE THAT A SOLUTION IS BEING WORKED. SEVERAL SAFETY ISSUES ARE PRESENTED BY THE CONSOLE?S ERRATIC OPERATION (SOMETIMES IT WORKS, SOMETIMES IT DOESN'T). IT IS WINTER NOW, AND WHEN THE CONSOLE IS OUT, THE HEATER, DEFROSTER, DOOR LOCKS, HAZARD LIGHTS AND ON-BOARD WARNING SYSTEM (VIA THE MENU BUTTON) DO NOT WORK. STARTING AND SHUTTING THE ENGINE OFF 20-PLUS TIMES (DEALERS RECOMMENDED TEMP FIX TO RE-SET SYSTEM) DOES NOT SEEM LIKE A VIABLE SOLUTION, AND IT CERTAINLY PRESENTS ADDED STRESS ON THE STARTER AND CAUSES EXCESSIVE ENGINE WEAR IN COLD TEMPERATURES. *TR

ON 09/04/09 I BOUGHT A NEW 2010 EQUINOX AND WITHIN 3,000 MILES I BEGAN EXPERIENCING SIGNIFICANT SHIFTING ISSUES AND ROUGH IDLING/STALLING AT STOPS. ON 01/08/10 I WILL BE TAKING THE VEHICLE TO THE SERVICE SHOP FOR THE 4TH TIME IN 60 DAYS FOR THESE PROBLEMS. VERY CONCERNING IS THAT EVERY TIME I HAVE TAKEN THE VEHICLE IN FOR SERVICE A NEW GM SERVICE BULLETIN EXISTS FOR THESE PROBLEMS. HOWEVER, GM IS NOT PROACTIVELY ADDRESSING THESE KNOWN ISSUES WITH BUYERS. RATHER THE ONUS HAS BEEN PUT INTO THE BUYERS HANDS. WHY IF THEY KNOW A PROBLEM EXISTS ARE THEY NOT OBLIGATED TO CONTACT BUYERS? THERE ARE A SIGNIFICANT NUMBER OF OTHERS EXPERIENCING THESE PROBLEMS YOU WILL FIND ON THE WEB, IE EDMUNDS. THE FOLLOWING IS A CHRONOLOGY OF MY EXPERIENCE: #1) 12/08/09-2,561 MILES: CAR HESITATING BADLY WHEN ACCELERATING, VIBRATING BAD AT IDLE WITH S INTERMITTENT STALLS. GM BULLETIN 4469G-METAL SHAVING LEFT BEHIND IN THE TRANNY. REPLACE OIL, REPLACE ACTUATOR SOLENOIDS DUE TO DEBRIS BUILD-UP. #2) 12/15/09-2,713 MILES: ROUGH IDLING/HESITATION. REPLACED OIL LIKE BEFORE, NO DEBRIS. SERVICE BULLETIN FOR ECM UPDATE FOR TCM AND PCM. SERVICE TECH TOLD ME THAT THEY HAD SEVERAL OTHER BUYERS EXPERIENCING THESE PROBLEMS. #3) 12/22/09-2,939 MILES: UNABLE TO MERGE ONTO THRUWAY AND GET UP TO SPEED DO TO BUCKING AND VEHICLE NOT ACCELERATING/SHIFTING. ALMOST INVOLVED IN ACCIDENT TRYING TO MERGE AND GAIN SPEED. BUCKING AT STOPS AND STALLING. SERVICE CODE P0011 FOUND IN COMPUTER FOR INTAKE POSITION SYSTEM FAILURE. NEEDED 2 CAM SHAFT ACTUATORS AGAIN. REPLACED OIL & FILTER. 01/08/10-~3,900MILES: CONTINUED ROUGH IDLE. POOR/HARD SHIFTING/HESITATION TO SHIFT ESPECIALLY IN 3 & 4 GEAR. IN 3 & 4 ENGINE SOUNDS MUFFLED AND STRUGGLES TO GAIN SPEED AS IF THE TRAN IS UP-SHIFTING TOO QUICKLY. WHEN UP-SHIFTING IN HIGHER GEARS IT HESITATES AND THEN JOLTS. IN SUMMARY, I AM TAKING VEHICLE IN FOR THE 4TH TIME, SAME PROBLEMS. NYS LEMON LAW BEING CONSIDERED. EACH TIME I HAVE LOST VEHICLE. *TR

MY 2010 CHEVY EQUINOX LS STEERING WHEEL LOCKS UP WHILE DRIVING. THE ELECTRICAL ALSO SEEMS TO HAVE AN ISSUE WHERE THE RADIO WILL START FLASHING AND THE AIR BAG WARNING KEEPS COMING ON EVEN AFTER THEY HAVE STATED ALL OF THE ISSUES HAVE BEEN FIXED AND PARTS HAVE BEEN REPLACED.
