The contact owns a 2019 Chevrolet Equinox. The contact stated that while driving at a slow speed, the brake pedal was depressed, and the brake pedal was extremely hard and tight. No warning lights were illuminated. The contact was able to stop the vehicle because the vehicle was not being driven at a high speed. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where the failure was diagnosed as CAM shaft failure, timing chain, and vacuum pump failure. The contact was informed that the CAM shaft, timing chain, and vacuum pump needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired. In addition, the contact, who was an independent mechanic, stated that it was very important that the braking system operated independently. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure, and a case was filed. The contact was informed that the repair was not covered under recall. The failure mileage was approximately 75,400.

2 nights ago, my engine light came on. I purchased a code reader today so see what may be wrong, and code P0299, popped up. I’ve reviewed and saw there’s no known recall on the issue but there’s a known Technical Service Bulletin (TSB). In a Facebook group I saw, it says that some people have replaced and code P0299 is still populating. I’m buying this vehicle and I have barely had 2 years now and wanted it to last.
Charge pipe/air intake hose came disconnected when driving causing reduced engine and idle problems. Car stalled multiple times at idle. Higher rpm’s cause hose to disconnect.
I was stopped at a traffic light and the car just froze. All the dash lights started flashing, the brakes would not work. The car started moving slowly backing up traffic behind me. I barely made it to a parking lot off the road.
The contact owns a 2019 Chevrolet Equinox. The contact stated that on several occasions while driving at various speeds, the brake pedal was depressed; however, the engine revved continuously as if the vehicle was going to drive forward. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 70,000.

My vacuum pump failed on this vehicle. Causing my brakes to lock and a crash to almost happen
My car had been sitting for a week as we were off on vacation and when I came back the car would not start. Oil had been changed 1 week before that by Miller and Son. After towing it to Miller and Son Chevrolet (724-378-0542)we were told it was a timing chain issue and once they opened things up I was told the engine is ruined. The car only had 71,000 miles on it(I purchased it last year) We spoke to multiple mechanics who stated this was a common problem for this car and if the engine had failed while driving it could have caused a fire/accident. I have a [XXX] son and he very much could have been trapped in the car. If this is happening frequently as the mechanics have told me why has this not been recalled. I religiously had my oil changed as required. I tried calling GM (case #[XXX]) without much success. The dealer wants $9000 to put in a new engine which I need to get a loan to do but also my fear is will this happen again. I would appreciate you looking into this issue. Thank You. Poor quality Vacuum Pump failed, resulting in debris in crack shaft assembly and preventing brake functionality. Check engine displays and error message stated "Service Brake Assist" which does not indicate a vacuum pump failure, which is misleading in troubleshooting issue. Hard brake pedal is a symptom, which would lead a repair facility or consumer to replace Brake Power Booster, which does not resolve issue, but will temporarily resolve brake pedal symptom, leading to further damage to crank shaft.
I was driving down the road and my engine stopped. It stopped so suddenly that I did not have time to get out of the road and my safety was put at risk. When I took it to a certified Chevrolet dealership, they told me that the vacuum pump failure caused extensive damage to the motor and I needed to have my entire motor replaced. When I asked them what I could have done to prevent such catastrophic failure, they stated that there was nothing to prevent it. I did not have any warning on my dash at the time of the incident. This was at least the 2nd vacuum pump failure on this vehicle since I've owned it. I got it replaced at a certified Chevrolet dealership in 05/2022 when my brakes went out. In 05/22, the brakes went out but I was in a driveway and I did not feel my safety was a concern at that time. Now it's not even been 3 years and the vacuum pump failure risked my safety and caused catastrophic damage to engine to be replaced.
The vehicle is leaking oil from in between the engine and transmission I am some bit mechanical and im sure its the rear Maine seal leaking yes the vehicle is available for inspection im taking it to H&H chevrolet [XXX] for a inspection I talked to Christian brothers repair and I told them what it was doing and they told me alot about my vehicles problem and gave me some Estimates and also said they have 2 in there shop right now needing the same repair...How was my safety or the safety of others put at risk? well me and my family went out to get a few groceries and it was -25 outside and we almost didn't make it back home because the car was not wanting to drive.if it had died we would have been stuck in dangerously cold weather.no warning lights came on I only found it was leaking when I started to smell burning oil so I looked under it and there was a small puddle of oil. this happened Monday [XXX] and the car hasn't been drivable since it sounds fine but I don't know we haven't moved it since we got it home. this is really inconvenient this vehicle is my only means of transportation to work and I never thought on a car I purchased brand new it would ever blow a rear seal I have heard many other having these problems and I still can't understand why this isn't a recall this is a very expensive problem to just be put on people financially. i hoping GM can resolve this for me. While driving, the vehicle went into Engine Power Reduced mode, check engine light went on, and the Brake Assist notification came on. I pulled over and turned off the vehicle; vehicle would not restart. Had the vehicle towed for diagnosis; told initial codes were timing issues. Vehicle has 83,000 miles and showed no evidence of any sort of failures - no warning lights, no brake issues, no hesitation, no unusual sounds, no rough idling or driving. Dealership stated the vacuum pump failed and broke apart into the camshaft and into the engine. Official diagnosis was new vacuum system and engine replacement for a cost of $14,000.
Vehicle runs with reduced engine power. Was initially told the turbo needed cleaned, and it continued to happen. Then was told it needed to be replaced. The final result is that the tube that connects to the turbo keeps falling off. Being told there is no fix, and no recall, we just need to keep putting it back on when it pops off.
originally system warning message to service brake system. had system checked by mechanic. nothing found. after a few weeks as i was merging on a highway i felt my engine start to stall. I immediately tried to make my way to the side of highway. brakes were very hard to press and car stalled with engine light immuninating, and no power steering. code P0017. engine will crank and sputter but will not start also has blowby present. cam and crankshaft sensors/actuator solenoids were replaced, then the vacuum pump cover was opened and found broken parts inside. upon removal of pump it was found broken. suspect broken parts are blocking crankshaft or either of the cams to not be able to rotate properly. this issue possibly has cause timing chain issues as well. parts in the vacuum caused it to seize. exhaust cam continued to spin shattering the end connected on the pump. I have done research and found that others have had the same thing occur with the warning for brake system and then weeks later the brakes do not work, which is due to the pump providing pressure for the brake boost system.
The contact owns a 2019 Chevrolet Equinox. The contact stated while driving 40 MPH, the engine made an abnormal ticking sound. Additionally, the contact stated that while depressing the brake pedal, the brake pedal felt firm and failed to respond as needed. The contact stated that upon depressing the brake pedal two feet, the brake pedal travelled down as needed, causing the braking distance to be extended by 222 ft. approximately. There was no warning light illuminated. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic, where it was diagnosed that the vacuum pump had seized and shredded to parts inside the engine. The mechanic determined that the vacuum pump needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired. The contact stated that two unknown dealers and the manufacturer were notified of the failure and informed the contact that the VIN was not under recall. The failure mileage was approximately 74,000.

The same issue has occurred on my vehicle but the dealership is stating my vehicle is not covered even thought it states it has all the issues stated in this bulletin. N192271200 Charge Air Cooler Disconnect at Throttle Body. The car blows off the hose at the throttle body even after I replace the retainer clip myself. I am now having the dealership repair the hose and clip as it needs both they said. It obviously is a flaw in more vehicles than what they have disclosed. Very unfortunate they do not cover this for all owners in the same year as this series of vehicles.
Vacuum pump exploded and ended up breaking the cam shaft. Brakes wouldn't work for a minute completely seizing up in rush hour traffic. It did eventually stop. Got it to the auto shop close by and they inspected the vehicle. They stated this shouldn't have happened. Also, in their experience they have never seen someone able to drive their car with this issue. It typically locks up the engine by sending broken pieces inside and blows it. They said I was very lucky it didn't cause an accident, catch fire due to the oil, or explode the engine from the broken pieces. The techs stated they have seen this a lot in the Chevy Malibus and some in the equinox's but that they run on the same engine so that would make sense. There was no warning prior to this happening. The vehicle was inspected by the auto shop techs and report sent to me with photos of all damages.
The contact owns a 2019 Chevrolet Equinox. The contact stated that while driving at 65 MPH, the "Service Brake Assist" message briefly flashed on the instrument panel. The vehicle then independently downshifted and decelerated to 30 MPH, with the brake pedal depressed to the floorboard. The contact was unable to stop the vehicle but was able to coast the vehicle to an independent mechanic. The contact was able to turn off the vehicle after the failure; however, the mechanic was unable to diagnose the vehicle. The vehicle was then towed to a dealer where a mechanic informed the contact that the vacuum pump had failed and sent debris through the camshaft. The contact was informed that the vacuum pump, timing chain, cam shaft, and pistons all needed to be replaced. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and the contact was given a reference number. The vehicle was not repaired and remained in the possession of the dealer. The failure mileage was approximately 100,000.

The contact owns a 2019 Chevrolet Equinox. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed and attempting to slow the vehicle, she became aware that the brake pedal required excessive effort to bring the vehicle to a complete stop. The vehicle returned to normal functionality, but the failure became a regular occurrence. The ABS warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic, who was unable to duplicate the failure. Later, the contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the vehicle suddenly lost motive power. The check engine warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic, who diagnosed a failure with the vacuum pump, resulting in damage to the timing chain. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 130,000.
Mileage: 130,000
The contact owns a 2019 Chevrolet Equinox. The contact stated while driving 60 MPH for approximately a mile, the Engine Power Reduced message was displayed. The vehicle lost motive power, and the check engine warning light was illuminated. The contact spoke with an independent mechanic, who informed the contact that the vehicle needed to be diagnosed. The contact continued to drive, and the engine power reduced message was displayed, and the check engine warning light illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer, who was unable to determine the cause of the failure. The dealer contacted the manufacturer for additional guidance. The dealer later informed her that the vehicle needed two computer program updates. The vehicle was repaired, but the failure recurred. While driving at unknown speeds, the vehicle decelerated. The reduce engine power message was displayed. The vehicle was taken back to the same local dealer, where it was diagnosed that the air conditioner caused the failure, the charge air cooler was freezing, and the turbo and shutter system needed to be cleaned. The vehicle was repaired, but the failure persisted. While driving at highway speeds, the reduced engine power message was displayed. The check engine warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was taken to another local dealer, Michael Bates Chevrolet Inc. (23755 Allen Rd., Woodhaven, MI 48183, (734) 365-6790), where it was diagnosed that there was zero pressure in the turbocharger. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was contacted, and a complaint was filed. The failure mileage was approximately 78,000.

The contact owns a 2019 Chevrolet Equinox. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the brake assists, and the check engine warning lights illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where it was diagnosed with a failed oil valve. The vehicle was repaired. The contact was informed that when the check engine warning light illuminated, other warning lights would sometimes become illuminate. The contact stated that a day later, while driving at an undisclosed speed, the brakes were inoperable. The contact depressed the brake pedal and the contact noticed that the brake pedal was difficult to depress. The brake assists warning light illuminated and then disappeared. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired by an independent mechanic or dealer. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and advised the contact to report the failure to the NHTSA Hotline. The failure mileage was approximately 122,000.

I was at a stop light, the light turned green and I proceeded to lift my foot off of the break giving the vehicle a moment to autostart, I pressed the accelerator, and the car started to make a sputtering sound and tremble terribly. The vehicle's engine shut down in the middle of traffic, no warning lights appeared on my dash board. The power of the vehicle was still on. I placed the car in park, then I turned the power off. I tried to restart the vehicle this time the vehicle continued to shake and sputter but it did not move when I placed the gear in Drive. I had to be pushed put of the road by the Police and then towed to the dealer. The service engineer at the Chevy Dealership was able to start the engine and take it for a test drive, the vehicle also shut done on him but also left him with no ability to use the breaks. He was unable to stop. Thankfully no one was in front of him or behind him he was able to have the vehicle towed back to the service bay. I was told that the break vacuum pump disintegrated and went into the engine cam shaft. That caused the engine to completely shut down. I believe this is a safety issue as no sensor or engine codes ever displayed and the dealership took 2weeks to diagnose what was wrong because they were not getting any codes displayed on their diagnostic equipment. There was no way for me to know this break vacuum pump was failing to be able to proactively replace it to prevent this serious malfunction from occurring. I could have been seriously injured and cause a horrible accident as I was headed to the highway that morning. I would like to be contacted in regard to this.
2019 Equinox LT. 1.5 litre Vacuum pump clogged and exploded internally. Almost killed my wife and I when brakes failed. There appears to be TSB’s dating as far back as 2015. Chevy has been aware of this issue yet continued to produce vehicles with this defective and dangerous design. It sounds as if piston rings are prem The pump connects to and is powered by intake cam. Dumb. Micheal Bates dealership say I’m responsible for the parts and repairs, because is no warranty, which are about the car used repairs, all internal damage to engine.
The vacuum pump failed, which left me without power brakes while slowing down on an interstate exit ramp. There were no warnings or indications of failure in advance. The brakes were fine as I got on the interstate, then I became aware of the problem as I exited about 30 minutes later. I nearly rear-ended the car in front of me as we approached the stoplight. Without power brakes, much more force than usual was necessary to come to a stop safely. This is a very dangerous situation as elderly or physically disabled drivers may find it very challenging to apply enough force to come to a stop, especially when slowing down from 70+ MPH interstate speeds. Metal pieces broke off from the vacuum pump and caused damage to the cam shaft. While reviewing some YouTube videos on the topic, I discovered I'm not the only Equinox owner to experience this type of failure around 5x,xxx to 6x,xxx miles for the 2019 or similar model years. Here is the link to one representative video, and the comments indicate there are others who have experienced something similar... 2018 Chevy Equinox Vacuum Pump Catostrophic Failure! [XXX] Here's another: 2020 chevy equinox brake pedal really hard or no brakes fix [XXX] --F One more example: 2018 -2019 and up chevy equinox brake pedal Hard easy fix [XXX] Unfortunately, my vehicle was subsequently totaled in an unrelated accident, so it is unavailable for inspection. I believe public safety is at risk, however, so I have decided to submit this report anyway. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)
Car wouldn't start 6 months ago, replaced with new battery. Few months after, car wouldn't start again, replaced starter August 23. October 23, car wouldn't start again, made odd whirring noise. Replaced starter. Have had 3 new starters, now told its the flywheel and again will have to put in another new starter? Starter has to be replaced again, probably tried to start car & burnout out starter, I was told. Need a new starter 2 days after this 3rd new one was replaced? All seems to be consistent with the start/stop feature in the car, always made noise when trying to drive after being stopped at a light.
The contact owns a 2019 Chevrolet Equinox. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the rear of the vehicle started to sway from side to side. The contact then became aware that the sway bar had fractured. The contact stated that her fiancé was able to tighten the bolts and the contact was able to safely drive the vehicle to the residence. The contact stated that the service engine warning light was illuminated on the instrument panel for more than two months. Additionally, the air conditioner was inoperable, and there were wires hanging down underneath the vehicle. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 109,000.
Twice the vehicle has gone into limp mode (15 mph max) on busy highway in last month. Diesel particulate filter clogged both times. Currently has been in Chevy dealer shop for over two weeks. Emission system failure and dealer cannot figure out cause. They are currently replacing many parts and cannot assure us this problem will not reoccur. 47,000 miles. Maintenance has been better than recommended for oil changes and filters. Currently awaiting second repair invoice.
There was a recall back in 2019 for this same issue the charge air cooler is still disconnecting from the throttle body. I bought this car in 2021 supposedly the issue was fixed back in 2020 after the recall was issued. The same thing is happening. When I accelerate the air hose connecting to throttle body is disconnecting from and causing the engine warning of reduced engine power to show up. This is very concerning because when driving on the freeway with my family this is happening and this could get someone killed. The fixes back in 2020 are not up to standard or the replacement parts are faulty or the repair was not completed successfully. This has been happening since last year summer
This vehicle has started to lose power was taken to firsteam Norfolk Va where purchased took for oil change and tire rotation also loss of engine power at speeds of 20-32 mph and 50-62 mph. Dealership at Norfolk Va sent to firstteam Hampton VA Chevrolet for diagnosis and came back no engine light and small misfire 3/4 sparkplugs needed changed 177.00. After plugs were changed still had misfire then they felt it was number 4 injector 500.00 but never did work. I took it to national shop for recommended injector and when plugs were pulled mechanic found no new plugs. Injector was replaced with gm part and still misfiring. Norfolk firstteam towed vehicle back to Hampton Va firstteam and they are now giving me the run around. They want a blank check to replace parts till they find the problem. Unexceptable to even ask. Service writer has been very disrespectful and hung up on national shop and myself. When asked questions regarding work done service writer would just talk over us and speak to us disrespectful and then hung up. We have requested service manager at Hampton firstteam Chevrolet contact us and we were told she would tell him later. I have contacted Aston Lewis Jr owner of all firstteam dealerships here in Va requesting help three times and still no response. We need this reported so someone can fix the misfire and power loss the dealership does not know how to fix. Car is under power train warranty . Any help would be nice.
The vehicle is operating on reduced power and shuts of almost immediately. After plugging a scan tool in and reading the codes, it said the crankshaft timing was over advanced and the sensor needed to be changed. I've changed all four sensors (both crank and cam sensors). The engine shows no codes, but when I crank it, it immediately reduces power, shuts off, then shows the same codes. After trying a few times, it says the ECM, MAP sensor, and heat sensors are bad. When I disconnect, then reconnect the battery, it only shows the crank sensor code. The check engine light goes off, but comes on again right before the engine shuts off each time. As a result, the vehicle has been sitting since 10/4/22 due to it shutting off suddenly in traffic. I've had to change the battery twice during this time due to the battery completely dying and a jump start doesn't work.
I purchased the crossover 2019in or around Sept 2021 the engine light appeared, it was taken to Reedman Toll Chevy of Springfield and they replaced the mass air flow sensor or oxygen sensor. Sept 2022 the engine light appeared again they replaced the oxygen sensor, Dec 19,2022 the engine light appeared again the vehical was taken to Reedman were it remains and I am being told it's th orifice tube(PVC tube). They stated this part is not covered under warranty after research GM bulletin No.: 20-NA-047 states this part is in fact covered. Reedman states the coverage of the service is $2,000.00 I contacted GM warranty dept (Irene) case#9-8392615536 who stated the part is covered also. Reedman refuses to follow the order given under the bulletin and GM.
Purchased 2019 Sept 2021 engine light appeared fixed mass air flow by Reedman Chevy Sept 2022 engine reappears they fixed oxygen sensor Dec 19 2022 engine light reappears. Taken to Reedman 12/28/22 states orifice sensor or tube discover GM is aware of issue bullentin no.:20-NA-047 Reedman refused to honor repairs. I've taken my car to the Springfield chevy dealership at 840 Baltimore Pike, Springfield, PA 19064 several time. The time the replaced mass airflow sensor had to be replaced or the oxygen sensor last year. I received a message from Onstar An issue with the emissions system in your 2019 Chevrolet Equinox has been detected. Please service your vehicle within 7 days. Which was the same message for berfore, Wayne the techn stated it the battery which is incorrect I informed him of the Onstar message and told him how the car would shut-off and wouldn't start. I had two battery test perform and was told the battery, starter and charging system all passed. He stated we have to change the battery as a starting point and work from there which is ridiculous. I stated if this is so why wasn't this mention in the Onstar Diagnostic Alert. My car was there for six hour and no one call I had to contact them around 4pm and they close at 4:30pm no customer service.
Winter 2021, vehicle went into reduced engine mode as I was going up a hill. There was no one behind me and I made it 100 ft to a driveway. I was able to turn around and get car home. Towed to Sonju, dealer where it was leased from. Fixed by them and returned to regular use. 06/28/22, while driving on a Hwy 53, 45 mph zone, with no notice, engine went into reduced power mode. I was almost hit due to the proximity of the car behind me and the sudden loss in power. I managed to hit my hazards, pull into middle turn lane until traffic passed. I then was able to get into a business parking lot. I shut car off. I made some phone calls. Turned car back on, all was fine. Back on the road. No call to dealer. 07/08/22, engine in reduced power mode while I was only .5 miles from my house. Made it to a turnaround point where I was able to turn vehicle off. Called dealer to make appt for service. Limped vehicle home. Vehicle towed to Sonju for fix. 07/18/22, after fixed at dealership, it was picked up. We made it 22 miles. I was in a urban part of Duluth, MN-speed limit 30, heavy traffic. As I turned to go up hill, engine again went into reduced power mode. There is no shoulder for me to go to and I'm almost hit from behind as the car jerked and slowed. I was able to pull off. Shut car off. When I started it up, it was still in reduced power mode. As it had been 30 mins, traffic had subsided, I went another mile to my work, where car would be safe to sit. Made arrangements for tow back to dealer. 07/19/22-towed to dealer after hours. When I moved it for better position for tow truck, the check engine light was on, but engine reduced power mode message never came on. 07/22/22-Per dealer, there is no explanation and thus far they can't figure it out. They continue to drive it to recreate the issue, but no end in sight of when I will get this vehicle back. 07/26/22-no word from dealer-vehicle is still there. I stopped bugging them!
The Charge Ari Cooler Duct Disconnected from the Throttle Body. When this happens my car immediately goes into lower power mode. This is a safety concern, when going 70 MPH, it will immediately drop down to 50 MPH. This sudden decrease in speed can cause other drivers to wreck into me and my family. This problem has been confirmed by a dealer. This has not been inspected directly by the manufacturer, however it was inspected by a dealer. There were no warning signs prior to failure, only a warning after the incident occurs. The check engine light comes on.
The car was purchased February of 2019. The car has been stalling, car has shut completely down, and the car decrease speed sometimes while on the expressway which can be life-threatening. Not to mention that the radio freezes and the windows also gets stuck sometimes. It was reported to the car lot where the car was purchased as well as GM. the car was taken into Homewood Chevrolet where they stated that it was only a spark plug which is not true. I know that the car is having intermittent problems. They were suppose to an extensive check and I am positive that it was NOT done. There is an electrical and transit engine related issue that is not being addressed
I was out driving on a normal errand when my car suddenly seemed to lose all ability to accelerate. When I pressed on the accelerator nothing happened and I could only advance in the car at less than 5 MPH. Fortunately I was just leaving my neighborhood and on a residential street where the speed limit was only 35 MPH anyways, but I shudder to think about what could have happened if I lost the ability to accelerate when I was on a highway or interstate, or even making a turn in front of oncoming traffic on a normal road. As any driver knows, you estimate your ability to safely turn in front of oncoming traffic based on your car's accelerator working. If I had made that judgment, attempted to turn, and not been able to accelerate and instead been left in the middle of oncoming traffic, I could have been hit and seriously injured or worse. There were no warning lights or anything that appeared prior to the incident. After losing the ability to accelerate, I received an email from Chevrolet within 10 minutes stating "An issue with the emissions system in your 2019 Chevrolet Equinox has been detected. Please service your vehicle within 7 days. Please disregard this message if your vehicle is already in for service. Inaccurate notifications can be generated during service." My car ended up being towed to the dealer for service where they confirmed and reproduced the problem. They said something about the emissions system valve(s) had to be replaced, and that this was a relatively common problem they had seen in other Chevrolet Equinoxes too, but were not aware of any recall being issued yet.
same errors codes i received less than 30 days ago when my car stopped while driving. This past 7/2/2021 my car stopped while in the mist of making a right turn.
Automatic engine shutoff did not restart at a busy stop light. Car shut down. Had to tow my car to auto repair. Computer code error U0284,B2575. Engine Stalls. Fixed the problem and 10 days later, I am driving and the car stops in the middle of the road again. Diagnosis is the same reason that the computer is not communicating with the car to start the engine.
I WAS SITTING AT A STOP LIGHT. WHEN THE LIGHT TURNED GREEN I TOOK MY FOOT OFF THE BRAKE AND APPLIED THE GAS PEDAL. THE CAR DID NOT RESPOND TO THE GAS PEDAL AT FIRST AND JUST SAT THERE. AFTER A FEW SECONDS I WAS ABLE TO START MOVING. THIS SITUATION ALMOST CAUSED ME TO BE REAR ENDED. THIS IS THE SECOND TIME THIS HAS HAPPENED AND HAD THE VEHICLE IN FOR SERVICE A FEW WEEKS AGO FOR SAME ISSUE.

I WAS IN THE DRIVEWAY AT MY HOME GETTING READY TO LEAVE FOR CHURCH, I WAS PULLING FORWARD BEFORE I BACKED UP THINKING I MIGHT BE TOO CLOSE TO THE GATES. WHEN I MOVED FORWARD WITH MY FOOT ON THE BRAKE TO JUST CREEP ALONG, THE ENGINE REVVED UP TO AN ASTROMICAL SPEED. I WAS HEAD TOWARD MY SON'S TRUCK. I STEERED AWAY BUT CAUGHT THE BUMPER OF AN F350 . MY CAR IS TOTALLY DESTROYED. I KNOCKED THE TRUCK OVER TWO FEET FROM WHERE IT WAS SITTING AND PUSHED IT WITHIN ONE OR TWO INCHES OF GOING THROUGH MY HOUSE WHERE MY SON WAS ASLEEP IN THE RECLINER. BEFORE I HIT THE BRICK POST HOLDING UP ONE END OF MY CAR PORT, I WAS ABLE TO MOVE THE CAR INTO PARK AND STOP IT. THE HILL ASSIST LIGHT WAS ON WHEN I GOT OUT OF THE CAR. I WAS GOING DOWN A SLIGHT INCLINE AND NOT UP A HILL. MY DRIVE IS ONLY ABOUT 20-25 FEET AND THE CAR WAS GOING AT AN ALARMING RATE. FORTUNATELY, I WAS JUST BRUISED AND SORE FROM THE IMPACT.

THIS 2019 EQUINOX IS 1.6L DIESEL ENGINE. I BOUGHT IT BRAND NEW. I HAVE BEEN TO THE SERVICE 5 TIMES WITH A PROBLEM MESSAGE "ENGINE POWER IS REDUCED". WHEN THIS HAPPENS, THE VEHICLE CANNOT RUN OVER 15MPH. EVERY TIME THIS HAPPENS, I AM ON A FREEWAY AND ALL OF A SUDDEN THE VEHICLE SLOWS DOWN AND I CANNOT GET IT TO RUN OVER 15MPH. VERY DANGEROUS AND BIG SAFETY ISSUE BECAUSE IN MOST CASE THIS HAPPENED, I SEMI TRUCK IS BEHIND ME RUNNING AT FREEWAY SPEED LIMIT, HONKING AT ME TO GET OUT OF THE WAY AND I AM NERVOUSLY TRYING TO FIND AN EMERGENCY LANE TO STOP. WHEN I AM ON THE FAST LANE, IT IS DIFFICULT TO FIND AN EMERGENCY QUICKLY. NOW THAT I READ THIS ACCIDENT STORY, HTTPS://WWW.MSN.COM/EN-US/NEWS/CRIME/YOUNG-FATHER-KILLED-IN-SUSPECTED-DUII-CRASH-ON-HIGHWAY-26-IN-BORING/AR-BB1DFXOU?OCID=HPLOCALNEWS , I AM VERY SCARED TO DRIVE MY EQUINOX. TODAY IS JANUARY 31, 2021. MY EQUINOX IS AT RON TONKIN CHEVROLET SERVICE DEPARTMENT FOR THE SAME PROBLEM "ENGINE POWER IS REDUCED" "CLEANING EXSHAUST FILTER, CONTINUE DRIVING". HOW CAN I CONTINUE DRIVING WHEN IT IS NOT SAFE AS IT WON'T RUN OVER 15MPH. THE FIRST TIME THIS HAPPENED, THEY TOLD ME THE DEISEL ENGINE HAS TO GO TO A REGENERATION PROCESS. THEY SAID THEY HAD TO MANUALLY DO IT. THEN IT HAPPENED AGAIN, THIS TIME THEY SAID THERE IS A PROGRAMMING ISSUE UPDATE. IT HAPPENED AGAIN TWICE, THIS TIME THE ENGINE LIGHT COMES ON. THEY REPLACED AN SOP PART. IT HAPPENED AGAIN. THIS IS THE SAME ISSUE WHY IT'S AT THE DEALERSHIP DEPARTMENT TODAY. THIS A BIG SAFETY ISSUE. PLEASE HELP! NOTE: I AM GATHERING THE SERVICE RECORDS. THE DATE IT FIRST HAPPENED MAY NOT BE ACCURATE. I WILL PROVIDED COPIES LATER.

WHILE VEHICLE IS COMING TO A HARD STOP OR OCCASIONALLY WHILE MAKING A RIGHT TURN, THERE IS A LOUD NOISE HEARD FROM THE ENGINE AREA. SERVICE CENTER INDICATED THIS IS A KNOWN ISSUE WITH THE VEHICLE BUT IT WAS NOT COVERED UNDER WARRANTY. THE CONDITION HAS EXISTED SINCE I PURCHASED THE VEHICLE. SERVICE CENTER INDICATED THE NOISE HEARD IS DUE TO THE TURBO UNIT HITTING THE RADIATOR AND SPECIAL TAPE COULD BE APPLIED TO DAMPED OR ELIMINATE THE NOISE. THE REPAIR WAS $550. BULLETIN 19-NA-098 WAS REFERENCED FROM CHEVY.

ONCE I HAVE WARMED THE CAR AND PUT IT IN MOTION WHETHER IN REVERSE OR FORWARD AS I SLOW DOWN TO COME TO A STOP LIGHT OR YIELD THE CAR EITHER STARTS TO DIE OR DIES COMPLETELY. I CAN TRY TO PUSH THE DRIVERS PEDAL AND SOMETIMES IT WILL CRANK BACK UP AND CONTINUE IN MOTION AND SOMETIMES, IN THE MIDDLE OF TRAFFIC I MIGHT HAVE TO PUT ON THE BRAKE, PUT IT IN PARK AND START IT ALL OVER AGAIN. THIS IS VERY SCARY, VERY DANGEROUS!!! DOESN'T MATTER THE TYPE OF ROAD I AM ON. I WAS TOLD THIS IS A NORMAL THING FOR THIS VEHICLE, BUT THIS IS HARD FOR ME TO BELIEVE THAT A CAR IS MADE TO GO DEAD AT A MOMENTS NOTICE IN TRAFFIC.

WHILE IN MOTION THE CAR RANDOMLY AND QUICKLY DECELERATES AND WILL NOT ALLOW YOU TO ACCELERATE. PHILLIPS CHEVROLET HAS ATTEMPTED TO REPAIR THE CAR CITING ENGINE POWER REDUCTION,TRANSMISSION, STABILATRAK AND NON VERIFIABLE ISSUES OVER A 2 MONTH PERIOD. WITHIN THAT 2 MONTH PERIOD, MAY 18, 2020 TO JULY 24, 2020, THERE WERE 7 ATTEMPTS TO REPAIR THE CAR. ALL 7 ATTEMPTS WERE UNSUCCESSFUL. BETWEEN JUNE 22, 2020 AND JULY 30, 2020 THERE WERE MORE THAN 20 TELEPHONE CALLS PLACED BETWEEN GENERAL MOTORS AND I, REGARDING THIS VEHICLE AND IT'S ENGINE, TRANSMISSION AND NON-VERIFIABLE ISSUES. GENERAL MOTORS AND PHILLIPS CHEVROLET ARE REFUSING TO ACKNOWLEDGE THAT THE CAR IS A LEMON. THERE ARE CURRENTLY A LITTLE OVER 8,500 MILES ON THE CAR AND I AM IN FEAR OF MY LIFE EACH TIME I ENTER THE CAR AND I HAVE MADE PHILLIPS CHEVROLET AND GENERAL MOTORS AWARE OF THIS ISSUE. THIS IS MY SECOND NHTSA REPORT. THE INITIAL NHTSA REPORT IS 302587, WAS FILED ON JUNE 22, 2020. PHILLIPS CHEVROLET AND GENERAL MOTORS ARE REFUSING TO PROVIDE ME WITH A SAFE VEHICLE TO TRAVEL IN DESPITE 7 SERVICE VISITS WITH PHILLIPS CHEVROLET, AND MORE THAN 20 TELEPHONE INTERACTIONS WITH GENERAL MOTORS. WHEN THE VEHICLE IS IN MOTION AN INTERMITTENT FOUL CHEMICAL TYPE ODOR EMITS INTO THE CAR THROUGH ALL OF THE A/C VENTS. I HAVE BEEN IN CONTACT WITH THE GENERAL MOTORS CUSTOMER ASSISTANCE, MY DEALERSHIP SERVICE DEPARTMENT AND THE BBB AUTOLINE WHOM ARE ALL AWARE THAT THERE IS A PROBLEM WITH THE VEHICLE STATED IN A TECHNICAL SERVICE BULLETIN AND IN A RECALL FOR THE ISSUE BUT GM STATES THERE IS NO REPAIR TO COMPLETELY ELIMINATE THE CONDITION AT THIS TIME. AFTER 4 SERVICE REPAIR ATTEMPTS AND A FINAL REPAIR ATTEMPT, THE PROBLEM IS STILL OCCURRING, IN WHICH GM, DEALERSHIP SERVICE DEPARTMENTS AND BBB AUTOLINE ARE AWARE AS WELL. THIS NAUSEATING ODOR IS A CHEMICAL TYPE POLLUTION EMITTING INTO THE VEHICLE CABIN THAT PRESENTS A HEALTH CONCERN AND SAFETY HAZARD FOR MYSELF AND ALL OTHER OCCUPANTS WHILE INSIDE THE VEHICLE. THE ODOR IS SO POTENT THAT IT ADVERSELY AFFECTS MY ABILITY TO SAFELY CONTROL THE VEHICLE WHILE IN MOTION. THE IMPURE AC IS NAUSEATING AND TAKES MY FOCUS OFF OF THE ROAD AND INTO AN IMMEDIATE PANIC TO FIND A WAY TO GET THE CONTAMINATED AIR OUT OF THE VEHICLE AS QUICKLY AS POSSIBLE. THIS PROBLEM/DEFECT WITH THE VEHICLE CREATES AN UNSAFE AND UNHEALTHY CONDITION. THE COMPONENT/PART CAUSING THE PROBLEM IS UNKNOWN BY ALL PARTIES. TSB: PIT2726. GM RECALL:N192271200. *TR

WHILE DRIVING HOME FROM WORK AT 9:30 PM ON A STATE HIGHWAY, MY 17 YEAR OLD SON HIT A DEER ON THE FRONT PASSENGER SIDE OF THE CAR. THE AIRBAGS DEPLOYED AND HE SLOWED DOWN AND PULLED OVER AND SMELLED SMOKE. HE GOT OUT OF THE CAR AND SAW FLAMES. HE IMMEDIATELY CALLED 911 AND HIS MOTHER. THE CAR WAS ON FIRE AND BURNED UNTIL FIRE COMPANY GOT THERE AND PUT THE FIRE OUT. MOST OF THE PASSENGER SIDE OF THE CAR UNDER THE HOOD WAS DESTROYED. THE CAR WAS A TOTAL LOSS. MY CONCERN IS THAT CAR SHOULD NEVER HAVE CAUGHT ON FIRE. MY SON IS LUCKY HE COULD GET OUT OF THE CAR. HE WAS SHAKEN UP AND GOT WHIPLASH FROM THE IMPACT BUT SEEMS TO BE OK. HOWEVER, MY BRAND NEW 2019 EQUINOX IS NOT OK. I CAN TELL YOU, IF THE CAR HADN'T STARTED ON FIRE, STRUCTURALLY, THERE WASN'T A TON OF DAMAGE. IT COULD HAVE EASILY BEEN REPAIRED. I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW HOW THIS HAPPENED?

I HAVE 33K MILES ON THE VEHICLE AND WHEN DRIVING THE CAR FEELS AS IF IT WANTS TO SHUT DOWN. A FEW RECENT DRIVES, ON CITY STREET, I'VE BEEN FEELING THE CAR STRUGGLING TO ACCELERATE CAUSING A JERKING FORWARD MOTION. ANOTHER ISSUE I HAVE IS I RECENTLY HAD TO PUT AIR IN MY RIGHT REAR TIRE, WHEN I PLUGGED MY TIRE INFLATOR IN THE ELECTRIC SOCKET AND TURNED THE POWER ON, THE CAR SOUNDED LIKE IT WAS STRUGGLING TO STAY ON AND THE ENGINE WAS BECOMING INCREASINGLY NOISIER. I PROCEEDED TO PUT AIR IN MY TIRE AND THE RIGHT BREAK LIGHT BEGAN FLASHING, ONLY THE RIGHT BRAKE LIGHT. I HAD USED MY TIRE INFLATOR IN THE PAST ON SAME VEHICLE ABOUT A YEAR AGO AND HAD ZERO ISSUES. I ALSO RECEIVED NOTIFICATION FROM ONSTAR TODAY, 5/13/20 THAT THE SYSTEM HAD DETECTED A FUEL EMISSIONS ISSUE AND THEN MY ENGINE LIGHT TURNED ON. *TR

OUR COLLEGE AGE DAUGHTER HAD A POTENTIALLY DANGEROUS PROBLEM RECENTLY INVOLVING HER BRAND NEW 2019 CHEVY EQUINOX LOSING POWER IN THE MIDDLE OF TRAFFIC ON THE EXPRESSWAY! SHE CALLED ME CRYING AND FRANTIC SAYING THAT A TRACTOR-TRAILER WAS RIGHT BEHIND HER WHEN THIS HAPPENED. SHE MANAGED TO PULL OVER TO AN EXIT AND PARK IN A NEARBY PLAZA PARKING LOT. WHEN I GOT THERE AND DROVE THE CAR THE TACH WAS UP OVER 2,000 RPM'S BUT THE CAR WAS ONLY GOING ABOUT 15 MPH! I DECIDED IT WAS UNSAFE TO DRIVE SO WE HAD IT FLATBEDDED TO THE DEALERSHIP WHERE WE LEASED THE VEHICLE. THERE AN EXPERIENCED TECH OPENED THE HOOD AND SHOWED US EXACTLY WHAT THE PROBLEM WAS. HE SAID THE HOSE FROM THE TURBO-CHARGER HAD COME LOOSE! AND THAT WITHOUT THAT HOOKED UP TO THE ENGINE, THE ENGINE WOULD HAVE LOST ABOUT 80% OF ITS POWER! WE WERE REALLY UPSET THAT THIS HAPPENED ON A BRAND NEW EQUINOX WITH ONLY 500 MILES ON IT! OUR DAUGHTER COULD HAVE BEEN KILLED!

8/23/19 I BOUGHT A NEW, 2019 EQUINOX PREMIER. ON 9/19/19 TRAVELING 70 MPH ON INTERSTATE 70 NEAR COLUMBUS, OH, CAR MADE LOUD BANG, SHOOK, AND WENT TO REDUCED POWER MODE. CAR BEHIND US WAS ABLE TO QUICKLY CHANGE LANES AVOIDING A CRASH.TOWED TO WYLER CHEVROLET, TOLD CAR HAD A RECALL NOTICE REGARDING CHARGE COOLER HOSE. WE WERE NEVER NOTIFIED OF RECALL. WYLER TOLD US IT'S FIXED SO WE CONTINUED TRIP TO PITTSBURGH. 9/22/19 SAME THING HAPPENED. THIS TIME TOWED TO CLASSIC CHEVROLET IN PITTSBURGH, THEY KNEW NOTHING ABOUT THE RECALL BUT FOUND IT ON GM WEBSITE, PRINTED THE NECESSARY REPAIR INFORMATION, 9/23/19 TOLD US CAR HAD A GUARANTEED FIX. 9/24/19, DRIVING 70 MPH IN PITTSBURGH RUSH HOUR TRAFFIC, BANG, SHAKING CAR, REDUCED POWER MODE. ONSTAR TOLD US TO DRIVE TO CREVILLI CHEVROLET IN PITTSBURGH. MYCHEVROLET TOLD US THEY WOULD PAY FOR A RENTAL SO WE COULD RETURN TO CINCINNATI AND TOW THE CAR TO OUR DEALER JOSEPH CHEVROLET IN CINCINNATI. 9/28/19 CAR IS STILL SITTING WHERE WE PARKED IT AT CREVILLI IN PITTSBURGH. WE HAVE A CASE NUMBER AND ADVISOR. UNFORTUNATELY WE KNOW NOTHING AS THEY WON'T RETURN PHONE CALLS AND HAVE NO DOCUMENTATION THAT THEY WILL PAY FOR RENTAL CAR. WE ARE FL RESIDENTS AND HAVE TO BE IN FLFOR MEDICAL APPOINTMENTS BY 10/7/19 HOWEVER OUR BRAND NEW CAR IS IN PITTSBURGH. INTERNET SEARCH REVEALS NUMEROUS STORIES REGARDING SAME SCENARIO WHILE DRIVING 2019 EQUINOX. UNBELIEVEABLE THAT CHEVROLET IS ALLOWED TO CONTINUE SELLING THESE DEFECTIVE VEHICLES PUTTING DRIVERS IN HARMS WAY. ALL WHO HAVE POSTED ONLINE COMPLAIN ABOUT TERRIBLE GM CUSTOMER SERVICE. MY WIFE AND I ARE 73, ON A FIXED INCOME, AND THIS STRESS IS TAKING A TOLL ON OUR HEALTH. FINANCIALLY WE ARE MAKING PAYMENTS ON A VEHICLE THAT CAN'T BE DRIVEN AND IS SITTING IN PITTSBURGH. WHAT ARE WE TO DO? NO ON WILL TELL US THE STATUS OF OUR CASE.

WAS DRIVING THE VEHICLE HOME ONE EVENING. HIT THE ACCELERATION PEDAL LIKE NORMAL, AND I HEARD A LOUD 'POP' OR 'THUNK' UNDER THE HOOD. THOUGHT IT WAS REALLY BAD WHEEL HOP OR SOMETHING. RIGHT AFTER THAT THE CEL CAME ON, AND THE VEHICLE WENT INTO 'LOW POWER' MODE. WAS ABLE TO DRIVE IT BACK HOME SLOWLY. HAD IT TOWED TO DEALER, SAID A HOSE TO THE TURBO CAME OFF. TOOK A FEW DAYS TO FIX. PICKED IT UP FROM THE DEALER, GOT OUT OF THE PARKING LOT. MADE IT MAYBE A FEW HUNDRED FEET, AND THE SAME EXACT THING HAPPENED. DROVE IT RIGHT BACK TO DEALER. THEY WERE ABLE TO QUICKLY ORDER PART AND FIX IT AGAIN WITHIN A DAY, THIS TIME REPLACING THE CLIP AND THE HOSE. DRIVEN THE CAR PRETTY HARD TO MAKE SURE IT WILL HOLD. IT HAS SO FAR AND HOPEFULLY WILL CONTINUE TO DO SO. THIS IS OBVIOUSLY A SERIOUS ISSUE WITH THIS PARTICULAR MODEL, AS THERE ARE A TON OF REPORTS HERE ABOUT THE EXACT SAME SCENARIO.

2019 CHEVY EQUINOX TURBO HOSE BLEW OFF. THE RETAINING CLIP FAILED TO PROPERLY HOLD HOSE IN PLACE. THE HOSE BLEW COMPLETELY OFF MAKING A LOUD NOISE. THE VEHICLE THEN IMMEDIATELY WENT INTO LOW POWER MODE. ALL ACCELERATION WAS GONE. LOSS OF POWER CREATED THE RPM'S TO INCREASE WHILE GOING UP HILL THE ENGINE STRUGGLING TO CLIMB.. THE VEHICLE LOST SPEED ALL THE WAY UP THE HILL. THE TURBO WAS USELESS AT THIS POINT. VERY UNSAFE TO SUDDENLY LOSE THAT MUCH POWER TO YOOUR VEHICLE. GM HAS TO FIND A SOLUTION TO THIS PROBLEM. MY LOCAL DEALER IS NOT VERY HELPFUL.

ON JUNE 28 WE WERE TRAVELING FROM NORTHERN CALIFORNIA TO SOUTHERN CALIF. WHEN GOING UP A STEEP INCLINE, I HEARD A POPPING SOUND COMING FROM THE ENGINE. IMMEDIATELY, LOST POWER, CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON, WITH A MESSAGE "REDUCED POWER". AT THE TIME, CAR WAS VIRTUALLY BRAND NEW, WITH ONLY 1335 MILES WE WERE IN A FAIRLY REMOTE AREA, SO I PULLED OFF THE INTERSTATE, AND CALLED FOR A TOW TO NEAREST CHEVROLET DEALER (37 MILES AWAY). DEALER WAS ALREADY CLOSED, IT WAS 9 PM. LEFT CAR OVERNIGHT AT DEALER, AND CONTACTED THEM NEXT DAY. DEALER SERVICE DEPT. STATED IT WAS A "THROTTLE BODY PIPE THAT POPPED OFF, AND IT WOULD TAKE A FEW DAYS FOE FIX, AND REPLACEMENT PART. WE WERE 400 MILES AWAY FROM HOME, DEALER DID ARRANGE FOR RENTAL CAR TO GO BACK HOME WITH. REPAIR TOOK NEARLY 2 WEEKS. WHEN NOTIFIED THAT CAR WAS READY, I DROVE BACK DOWN TO VALENCIA, CALIF. FROM SACRAMENTO AREA TO BRING CAR HOME. I WENT 2 BLOCKS, AND CHECK ENGINE LIGHT IMMEDIATELY APPEARED, RETURNED TO DEALER, AND THE INSTALLED SOME SORT OF CLAMP, AS A FIX, AND WAS TOLD ALL IS NOW OK. I PROCEEDED HOME, GOING UP THE SAME INCLINE 35 MILES LATER, AND SAME PROBLEM OCCURS, LOST POWER, CHECK ENGINE LIGHT,WITH REDUCED POWER MESSAGE. WAS TOWED BACK TO SAME DEALER AGAIN. SERVICE MANAGER EXPLAINED THIS WAS A COMMON PROBLEM IN EQUINOX MODEL, THAT GM HAS NO GOOD ANSWER FOR. AGAIN, DIAGNOSIS WAS "INTAKE PIPE POPPING OFF THROTTLE BODY". AGAIN, IT TOOK 2 WEEKS TO REPLACE INTAKE PIPE AND THROTTLE BODY. AFTER REPAIRS, I'M STILL NOTICING THAT ACCELERATION IS SOMEWHAT CHOPPY , AND NOT SMOOTH. I STILL AM NOT HAPPY, AND INTEND TO HAVE MY LOCAL DEALER, ADDRESS THIS PROBLEM, THAT I'M STARTING TO SEE, IS A WIDESPREAD GM CHEVROLET PROBLEM.

I WAS DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY AT 70 MPH WHEN I HEARD A LOUD BANG. THE VEHICLE IMMEDIATELY LOSS ENGINE POWER AND BEGAN 'SPUTTERING.' THE REDUCES ENGINE POWER WARNING CAME ON AND THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT. I WAS ABLE TO SAFELY MAKE IT OFF THE INTERSTATE BEFORE THE CAR COMPLETELY STALLED/QUIT. I HAVE TO HAVE THE VEHICLE TOWED AND PUSHED INTO THE SERVICE BAY. I WAS TOLD THE INTAKE VALVE WAS DAMAGED AND CAME LOOSE. THIS COULD HAVE BEEN A VERY DANGEROUS EVEN FATAL SITUATION IF THEIRS HAD BEEN A CAR TAILGATING ME.

ON MAY 18TH 2019 WHILE ACCELERATING FROM 45 TO 65 MPH TO ENTER ONTO A FREEWAY, HEARD/FELT LOUD POP FROM ENGINE, LOST POWER WARNING LIGHTS APPEARED "REDUCED POWER". CONTACTED ON STAR, NOTED THE PROBLEM DROVE TO DEALER 8 MILES AWAY, DIAGNOSED AS PLASTIC CLAMP ON HOSE FROM TURBO CHARGER BROKE. EQUINOX HAD 732 MILES ON IT, IN SHOP FOR 14 DAYS WAITING FOR FIX. METAL CLAMP ADDED TO RE-ENFORCE THE PLASTIC CLAMP, DEALER STATED NEW HOSE ORDERED AS STILL DEFECT IN THE PLASTIC COUPLING. AUGUST 7TH, BACK AT THE DEALER TO INSTALL NEW TUBE FOR TURBO CHARGER. AUGUST 13TH DRIVING 45MPH, ACCELERATED LIGHTLY MAYBE FROM 1600 RPM UP TO 2500 RPM, FELT/HEARD POP FROM BOTTOM OF ENGINE SAME WARNING OF REDUCED POWER. SAME ISSUE AS BEFORE, DIFFERENT PART OF THE TUB FROM ENGINE TO TURBO CHARGER. THIS IS A DEFECT IN ENGINEERING, NEED NHTSA TO STEP UP, ORDER GM TO FIX THIS PROPERLY. NO LONGER TRUST THIS VEHICLE. STILL SUMMER HERE, WILL BE VERY UNSETTLED DURING THE WINTER WHEN TEMPS CAN STAY BELOW 20 DEGREES FOR WEEKS OR COLDER HOW A PLASTIC TUBE WILL REACT TO THE COLD IN A HOT ENGINE COMPARTMENT. NHTSA NEEDS TO ACT NOW BEFORE THIS CAUSES ACCIDENTS WITH INJURIES OR DEATH BECAUSE OF NEGLIGENCE ON THE PART OF GM AND THOSE ENGINEERS THAT DESIGNED THIS WEAK SYSTEM. THIS WHAT A GOVERNMENT AGENCY IS SUPPOSED TO DO, PROTECT THE CONSUMERS. WE PURCHASED A NEW VEHICLE TO DRIVE NOT BE WORRIED IF IT WILL GET US SAFELY TO WHERE WE NEED TO GO!

WHILE DRIVING AT FREEWAY SPEEDS, THERE WAS A LOUD POP SOUND AND THEN THE ENGINE WENT INTO REDUCED POWER MODE & THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON. DEALER STATES THAT IT IS THE CHARGE COOLER AIR TUBE THAT BECOMES DETACHED FROM THROTTLE BODY. MULTIPLE SERVICE WRITERS HAVE STATED THERE IS NO OFFICIAL FIX FROM GM. TWO DEALERS HAVE CLAIMED TO "FIX" MY ISSUE, BUT IT WENT INTO THE SHOP AGAIN TODAY FOR THE FOURTH TIME FOR THE SAME ISSUE. FIRST OCCURRENCE WAS AT 149 MILES. NEXT THREE WERE BETWEEN 7500-8200 MILES. THE CAR HAS BEEN AT THE DEALERSHIPS THREE TIMES THE LAST 6 DAYS.

PURCHASED 2019 EQUINOX HAD 957 MILES ON IT WHEN "CHECK ENGINE" LIGHT APPEARED. TOOK IT INTO DEALERSHIP AND THEY SAID CODE WAS P0442 EVAP SMALL LEAK. THEY FOUND PURGE TUBE NOT SEATED FULLY. PRIOR TO DRIVING IT INTO DEALERSHIP WE SMELT GAS FUMES IN THE INTERIOR CABIN. 23 DAYS LATER "CHECK ENGINE" LIGHT APPEARED AT 1426 MILES. HEARD LOUD POP COMING FROM REAR OF CAR. AGAIN GAS FUMES CAN BE SMELT IN THE INTERIOR CABIN. DEALERSHIP SAID CODE P0442 AGAIN BUT IT WAS FROM THE EVAP CANISTER "O" RING FAILURE. THIS EMISSION SYSTEM SEEMS FAULTY AS IT IS A SEALED UNIT BUT SMELLING GAS FUMES IN THE INTERIOR IS NOT SAFE AT ALL.

WHILE ON VACATION TRAVELING ON 81S IN VA & DOING 70 MPH ON THE 3-LANE HWY., WITHOUT A WARNING A POWER REDUCTION MESSAGE APPEARED ON THE DASH; THEN THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON. OUR VEHICLE WENT FROM 70 MPH (POSTED SPEED) TO 40 MPH. IN A MATTER OF SECONDS. WE HAD A TRACTOR TRAILER PUSHING US & A CAR PASSING US ON THE LEFT. HAD IT NOT BEEN FOR THE FAST REACTIONS OF MY HUSBAND AND HELP FROM THE MAN ABOVE, WE WOULD NOW BE 6' UNDER. AFTER SHAKING & GAINING OUR WITS, WE CONSULTED THE VEHICLE HANDBOOK TO CHECK ON A POSSIBLE REASON FOR THE POWER REDUCTION & HOW TO PROCEED. THIS ACCIDENT WOULD HAVE BEEN LOGGED AS DRIVER ERROR, WHEN ACTUALLY IT WAS VEHICLE MALFUNCTION. WE LEFT THE VEHICLE IN VA AT A CHEV DEALERSHIP ON MONDAY & THEY ADVISE IT WOULD BE 4 DAYS UNTIL THEY COULD WORK ON THE UNIT. WE AGREED TO PICK IT UP FRIDAY ON OUR RETURN TRIP TO PA. THE DEALERSHIP CALLED THURS. MORNING TO ADVISE IT WAS READY. WE HAD TO REQUEST PAPERWORK SHOWING THAT IT WAS WORKED ON & THAT THEY FOUND NO ISSUES WITH IT, BUT THAT THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT WENT OUT. UPON ARRIVING HOME, WE TOOK THE UNIT TO OUR LOCAL DEALERSHIP AND WHILE THE UNIT DID NOT REGISTER A CODE IN THE COMPUTER A MECHANIC DID FIND---5242 VEHICLE HAS A U0100 LOST COMMUNICATION WITH THE ECU--CHECKED COMMUNICATION WITH THE PCM, TCM & BCM---NO POOR CONNECTIONS FOUND AT THIS TIME. THE DEALERSHIP DROVE THE VEHICLE FOR TWO WEEKS, BUT COULD NOT DUPLICATE THE ISSUE. IT IS WITH MUCH TREPIDATION THAT WE MUST NOW DRIVE THIS VEHICLE FOR 3 YRS. UNTIL OUR LEASE IS UP AND WILL NOT BE ABLE TO ALLOW PASSENGERS IN IT FOR FEAR OF THIS HAPPENING AGAIN AND TAKING THEIR LIVES TOO. WE HAVE READ FIVE REASONS FOR THE 2019 EQUINOX TO EXPERIENCE A POWER REDUCTION, BUT NONE OF THEM FIT WHAT WE EXPERIENCED. WE WOULD LIKE TO SUGGEST FURTHER TESTING & INVESTIGATION INTO THIS MATTER. OUR UNIT HAD 4,785 MILES ON IT WHEN THIS INCIDENT HAPPENED.

SAME ISSUE AS MOST OF THE OTHER COMPLAINTS. WHILE DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY ABOUT 60 MPH WE HEARD A LOUD POP. WE THOUGHT WE HIT SOMETHING IN THE MIDDLE OF THE ROAD. THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON AND THE WARNING THAT WE WERE LOSING POWER. WE DIDN'T SEE ANYTHING LEAKING AND THE MANUAL SAID IT WAS OKAY TO DRIVE WITH THE WARNING LIGHT. SINCE IT WAS LATE AT NIGHT THERE WERE NO OPEN CHEVY DEALERS WE NURSED IT HOME. THE NEXT MORNING WE TOOK IT TO THE DEALER WE BOUGHT THE CAR FROM AND THEY KNEW WHAT IT WAS RIGHT AWAY BECAUSE THEY HAD SOMEONE COME IN THE DAY BEFORE WITH THE SAME ISSUE, THE CLIP THAT CONNECTS A HOSE TO THE THROTTLE BODY POPPED OFF. THEY PUT THE HOSE BACK ON AND BUT KEPT THE VEHICLE SO THEY COULD PUT A NEW CLIP ON IT. IT'S BEEN TWO WEEKS AND WE ARE STILL WAITING FOR THE PART TO COME IN. THE CAR IS BRAND NEW, IT HAS 2000 MILES ON IT.

HOSE CLIP THAT GOES TO TURBOCHARGER HAS POPPED OFF TWICE NOW. I CURRENTLY HAVE 3400 MILES ON IT. I BOUGHT BRAND NEW IN APRIL 2019. THE FIRST TIME IT HAPPENED WAS WHEN I WAS ON STREET TRAFFIC AND I ACCELERATED AND HEARD A LOUD CLUNK NOISE. AT FIRST, I THOUGHT I GOT REAR-ENDED. THEY HAD MY CAR AT THE DEALER FOR THREE WEEKS DUE TO THE PART BEING BACK ORDERED. GOT BACK AND WITHIN THE FIRST 100 MILES OF DRIVING, THE SAME PROBLEM HAPPENED AGAIN, BUT THIS TIME I WAS ON THE FREEWAY, WHICH COULD HAVE ENDED BADLY. I WAS ALSO TOLD AT THE DEALER THAT THIS IS A COMMON PROBLEM. THE PROBLEM IS THOUGH, THAT A SERIOUS ACCIDENT CAN OCCUR OVER A $25 DOLLAR CLIP THAT IS OBVIOUSLY AN ENGINEERING FLAW.

THE TUBE CONNECTING THE EXHAUST TO THE TURBO HAS BECOME DISCONNECTED NOT ONCE, NOT TWICE, BUT THREE SEPARATE TIMES WHILE DRIVING. OWNED THE VEHICLE A TOTAL OF THREE MONTHS WITH 2260 MILES ALL DRIVEN BY MYSELF AND THE VEHICLE HAS SPENT A MONTH AND MORE AT THE DEALERSHIP FOR REPAIRS.

WITHIN THE SECOND WEEK OF DRIVING THE VEHICLE ON THE FREEWAY I HEARD A POPPING NOISE AND I THEN THE A MESSAGE CAME A CROSS THE SCREEN SAYING LISING POWER FROM THE ENGINE! I WAS SO SCARED ON THE FREEWAY ! I HAVE A NEW CAR, WHAT COULD BE THE PROBLEM! THE CAR REDUCED SPEED! I TOOK IT TO GEORGE MATICK CHEVROLET . MY CAR WAS IN THE SHOP FOR 2 DAYS AND THEY DISCOVERED IT WAS THE AIR TUBE HAD CAME OFF! MY CAR WAS RETURNED BACK TO ME AFTER SERVICE. 2 WEEKS LATER WHILE DRIVING TO INDIANAPOLIS THE TUBE POPPED 9FF AGAIN! I CALLED ON STAR THEY NAVIGATED ME TO THE NEAREST DEALERSHIP. THE DEALER CONNECTED THE TUBE BACK AND TOLD ME IT WAS OKAY TO DRIVE , AND SHOWED ME HOW TO RECONNECT THE TUBE IF IT CAME OFF AGAIN! THIS WAS SO SCARY TO BE ON THE HIGHWAY WITH A NEW CAR AND THINGS LIKE THIS IS HAPPENING! I NO LONGER WANTS THIS VEHICLE! I GET BACK TO MICHIGAN TAKES IT TO THE DEALERSHIP NOW THEY HAVE TO ORDER THE PART IT WILL TAKE A COUPLE OF DAYS TO GET THE PART IN. OK THE CAR IS FIXED AGAIN! 3 WEEKS LATER THE SAME PROBLEM AFTER A NEW TUBE WAS PLACED ON THE CAR 6/ 26 /19, THE CAR IS BACK AT THE DEALERSHIP SAME PROBLEM PLUS NOW THEY HAVE TO CHANGE THE THROTTLE! I FEEL LIKE I BOUGHT A NIGHTMARE!😡😭

TRAVELING SOUTH ON 81 IN THE FAR RIGHT LANE, A TRIPLE LANE HIGHWAY. WITH HEAVY MORNING WORK TRAFFIC GOING 70 MPH WITH AN 18-WHEELER PUSHING OUR VEHICLE & A CAR PASSING US ON THE LEFT, OUR 2019 EQUINOX DROPPED TO 40 MPH AND A POWER REDUCTION MESSAGE APPEARED ON THE DASH. THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON AT THE SAME TIME THE SPEED DROPPED DOWN 30 MPH. IT WAS BY THE GRACE OF GOD THAT THE 18-WHEELER MISSED OUR VEHICLE AND WE WERE ABLE TO PULL TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD. MY HUSBAND PUT THE ENGINE IN PARK AND REVVED THE ENGINE CHECKING TO SEE IF THE VEHICLE WOULD TAKE FUEL. THE POWER REDUCTION LIGHT CLEARED OFF THE SCREEN, BUT THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT STAYED ON. WE SLOWLY TRAVELED TO A GAS/COMFORT AREA (IN WOODSTOCK, VA) AND READ OUR VEHICLE HANDBOOK FOR POSSIBLE REASONS OF POWER REDUCTION---THERE WERE QUITE A FEW, BUT NONE THAT WE COULD RELATE TO. WE STAYED OVER NIGHT AT A MOTEL AND MONDAY (6/3/19) TOOK OUR VEHICLE TO THE LOCAL CHEVROLET DEALERSHIP. AFTER BEING TOLD THEY COULDN'T WORK ON OUR VEHICLE UNTIL THURSDAY, WE HAD TO CONTINUE OUR TRIP IN A RENTAL UNIT. WE WERE CONTACTED BY THE DEALERSHIP ON THURSDAY (6/6/19) THAT OUR VEHICLE WAS READY FOR PICKUP. THE UNIT THREW NO CODES, BUT THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT DID GO OUT AFTER THEIR DIAGNOSTIC CHECK. WE ARRANGED TO PICK UP OUR VEHICLE FRIDAY MORNING AND DROVE IT HOME WITH MUCH TREPIDATION. THE UNIT WAS TAKEN TO OUR LOCAL CHEVROLET DEALERSHIP, WHERE IT WAS PURCHASED AND THEY HAVE BEEN DRIVING IT TO MAKE THE SAME MECHANICAL DEFECT OCCUR; BUT TO NO AVAIL. TO FACE DEATH ONCE AND SURVIVE, DOES NOT MAKE ONE COMFORTABLE TO DRIVE THE SAME VEHICLE. HAD WE DIED AFTER BEING HIT BY THE 18-WHEELER, THE FAULT WOULD HAVE GONE TO DRIVER'S ERROR AS ONE READS IN MANY ACCIDENTS IN THE NEWS.

TURBO HOSE THAT CONNECTS TO THE THROTTLE BOTTLE POPS OFF UNDER ACCELERATION, AND ENGINE LOSES POWER. THIS IS AN EXTREME SAFETY ISSUE. IT HAPPENED TWO TIMES ON OUR TRIP HOME FROM PURCHASING THE CAR BRAND NEW.

I WAS RETURNING HOME FROM A TRIP IN THE MOUNTAINS AND HEARD A POPPING SOUND FROM UNDERNEATH THE VEHICLE AND THE VEHICLE SUDDENLY ACCELERATION. LUCKILY I WAS NEAR AN EXIT OFF OF THE TOLLWAY WITHIN 3 MILES OF A CHEVY DEALERSHIP. THIS COULD'VE BEEN A REALLY DANGEROUS SITUATION WHERE IS THE ROCKY MOUNTAINS. IF THIS HAD HAPPENED DURING A STEEP GRADED INCLINE, IT COULD'VE BEEN LIFE-THREATENING. THE VEHICLE WAS CERTAINLY WOULD NOT HAVE MADE IT UP THE MOUNTAIN AND COULD HAVE CAUSED A REAR END COLLISION RESULTING IN A DEADLY CRASH KNOCKING THE CAR OVER A GUARD RAIL. GOD FORBID IT WOULD'VE BEEN DURING THE WINTER MONTHS WITH SNOW UNLESS TRACTION. THE CAR ONLY HAD 4500 MILES ON IT. THE DEALER SAID THEY ARE AWARE OF THE PROBLEM AND THE REPAIR PART WAS ON INDEFINITE BACKOREDER WITH GM. HE CANNOT GIVE ME A DATE WHEN THE CAR WOULD BE REPAIRED.

THE TURBO COOLER TUBE POPS OFF WHEN YOU ACCELERATE. THIS CAUSES THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT TO COME ON AND THE VEHICLE TO GO INTO ENGINE REDUCE POWER MODE. VEHICLE MAX SPEED WILL THEN BE SET TO 45 - 55 MILES AN HOUR. I WAS ABLE TO PUSH THE TUBE BACK INTO PLACE, IT RAN FINE FOR ANOTHER 100 MILES THAN POPPED OFF AGAIN. I CALLED MY DEALERSHIP AND TALKED WITH THE SERVICE PERSON AND HE NEW EXACTLY WHAT I WAS TALKING ABOUT. HE SAID THERE IS A CLAMP SERVICE KIT TO FIX. I ASKED HIM IF THERE WAS A RECALL ON THIS HE SAID NO IT DOESN'T HAPPEN VERY OFTEN BUT THEY ARE AWARE OF THE ISSUE.

THE DUCT FROM MY TURBO TO THE THROTTLE BODY EXPLODED WHILE I WAS DRIVING. VEHICLE WENT TO "REDUCED POWER MODE". SPEED WAS LIMITED TO 45 MPH. THIS ISSUE IS ACCORDING TO THE DEALER A "KNOWN PROBLEM". SOMEONE IS GOING TO GET KILLED BY THIS PROBLEM. THANK GOD I WAS ON A LOCAL ROAD NOT A FREEWAY. THE SERVICE DEPT. HAS MY CAR AND SAID THEY DIDN'T KNOW WHEN IT COULD BE FIXED! I BOUGHT THIS LEMON 2 WEEKS AGO AND IT ONLY HAS 340 MILES ON IT. IT IS SITTING AT THE DEALERSHIP -- I DON'T HAVE MY NEW CAR. DANGEROUS SITUATION! ALSO IT HAS AN IDIOTIC AUTO STOP FEATURE THAT STOPS THE ENGINE AT EVERY STOP SIGN. THIS CANNOT BE TURNED OFF. WHEN YOU REMOVE YOUR FOOT FROM THE BRAKE THE ENGINE STARTS AND THE CAR JUMPS FORWARD. ANOTHER HORRIBLE SITUATION.

BOUGHT EQUINOX WITH 9 MILES O IT ON MONDAY 05/27/2019 AND ON FRIDAY 5/31/2019 ON THE WAY HOME FROM GOING TO DINNER, WITH ONLY 213 MILES ON THE VEHICLE, THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON AND THE ENGINE POWER IS REDUCED WARNING LIGHT CAME ON. LOOKED UP THE ERROR CODE ON LINE, BECAUSE THE OWNER'S MANUAL IS NOT THAT EASY. CODE DISPLAYED COULD SHUT ENGINE OFF AT ANY TIME TO PREVENT FURTHER DAMAGE. THANK GOD WE WERE A 2 MILES FROM HOME.

AFTER LEAVING THE DEALERSHIP TO HAVE THEM PUT ON THE PLATE, THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON. I DROVE IT TO A SECURE LOCATION SO I COULD GET SOMEONE TO FOLLOW ME BACK TO THE DEALERSHIP FOR SERVICE. THE CAR DID NOT HAVE FULL POWER. WHEN I WENT TO PULL OUT OF THE SECURE LOCATION , I TOOK MY FOOT OFF THE BRAKE AND THE CAR STOPPED. I DECIDED TO HAVE THE CAR TOWED, THE CAR HAD ONLY 45 MILES ON IT. I PICKED UP THE CAR FROM SERVICE, THEY REPORTED THAT THEY REMOVED AND INSPECTED THE INTAKE DUCT SEAL AND RETAINING CLIP.INSTALLED DUCT TO THROTTLE BODY AND CHECK DUCT LOCKS INTO PLACE, INTAKE DUCT IS SECURE. AS I WAS DRIVING HOME, THE SAME THING HAPPENED AGAIN. THE CAR WAS TOWED AGAIN, THE CAR HAS 60 MILES ON IT. I AM WAITING FOR A RESPONSE FROM THE DEALER. BOTH TIMES THE RATE OF SPEED WAS AROUND 45 - 50 MPH.

THE TURBO COOLER TUBE POPS OFF WHEN YOU ACCELERATE. THIS CAUSES THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT TO COME ON AND THE VEHICLE TO GO INTO ENGINE REDUCE POWER MODE. VEHICLE MAX SPEED WILL THEN BE SET TO 55 MILES AN HOUR. ENGINE AND ENGINE COMPARTMENT GETS HOT DUE TO NO PROPER COOLING. I WENT TO CHEVY DEALER AND THEY STATED THIS IS STARTING TO BECOME A KNOWN ISSUE WITH NO FIX. CHEVY SNAPPED THE TUBE BACK INTO PLACE, BUT IT POPPED OFF AGAIN. DANGEROUS WHEN ON HIGHWAY AND SPEED IMMEDIATELY REDUCES TO 55 MPH AND ALSO VERY BAD ON OVERHEATING THE ENGINE

THERE IS A MAJOR HOSE PROBLEM WITH THIS VEHICLE. WHILE DRIVING, A HOSE CAME LOOSE ON TWO DIFFERENT OCCASIONS THAT CAUSED A WARNING MESSAGE ON THE DASH THAT SAID "ENGINE POWER IS REDUCED" AND THE VEHICLE WOULD NOT GO ABOVE 40 MPH. THIS IS EXTREMELY DANGEROUS AND I WAS JUST INFORMED THIS IS NOW HAPPENING ALL OVER THE COUNTRY AND CHEVY WILL BE ISSUING A RECALL.

THE AUTO STOP ENGINE FEATURE HAS NO CONTROL DEVICE TO DISABLE THE FEATURE. AUTO ENGINE STOP CAUSES THE VEHICLE TO LURCH FORWARD WHEN RESTARTING FROM THE AUTO STOP CONDITION AT TRAFFIC LIGHTS. I HAVE ALSO EXPERIENCED HESITATION OF THE RESTART CONDITION WHEN MAKING A LEFT TURN AT A BUSY INTERESECTION CAUSING MYSELF SLIGHT PANIC WHEN TRYING TO ACCELERATE TO COMPLETE THE TURN WITH ONCOMING TRAFFIC APPROACHING. VERY DANGEROUS! THIS FEATURE SHOULD BE ALLOWED TO BE TURNED OFF BY THE OWNER ESPECIALLY WHEN DRIVING IN RUSH HOUR TRAFFIC. SAFETY IS MORE IMPORTANT THAN FUEL CONSUMPTION.

THE ENGINE "AUTO STOP" FEATURE CAN HAVE ENOUGH OF A DELAY TO ALLOW THE ACCELERATOR TO BE PRESSED AS THE ENGINE STARTS CAUSING IT TO LURCH FORWARD RATHER THAN ACCELERATE SMOOTHLY. IT ALSO CAN CAUSE A DELAY WHEN PULLING OUT INTO HEAVY TRAFFIC. THERE IS CURRENTLY NO WAY TO TEMPORARILY OR PERMANENTLY DEFEAT THE SYSTEM ON THIS GM MODEL ACCORDING TO GM SERVICE DEPARTMENT. THOUGH I AM SURE IT IS OPERATING AS DESIGNED FOR CERTAIN OWNER DRIVING STYLES AND TRAFFIC CONDITIONS THIS CAN BE A SERIOUS HAZARD. CAR MAKERS SHOULD BE REQUIRED TO EITHER DISABLE THE FEATURE PERMANENTLY BY OWNER REQUEST OR HAVE A METHOD FOR THE OWNER TO BYPASS THE SYSTEM.
Mileage: 1,250
I AM UNABLE TO GAUGE THE TIME NEEDED FOR THE CAR TO RESTART AFTER "AUTOSTOP" SHUTS THE MOTOR AT A HARD STOP. THIS IS DANGEROUS FOR ALL DRIVERS AS EVEN WHEN LIFTING MY FOOT FROM THE BRAKE THE CAR DOES NOT MOVE AS IT SHOULD IN "DRIVE." INSTEAD, PLACING MY FOOT ON THE GAS PEDAL IS REQUIRED. THIS CAUSES UNEXPECTED DELAYS IN BEGINNING TO DRIVE THAT COULD HAVE SEVERE AND LONG LASTING CONSEQUENCES. I DO NOT AT ALL FEEL SAFE IN THIS VEHICLE. THIS HAPPENS BOTH DURING CITY AND HIGHWAY DRIVING, I.E. WHEN SITTING IN TRAFFIC. OTHER MANUFACTURERS HAVE A SWITCH TO DEACTIVATE "AUTOSTOP." CHEVROLET DOES NOT. I BELIEVE A MANDATORY RECALL IS REQUIRED TO REMEDY THIS CLEAR SAFETY OVER SITE.

THE AUTO STOP IS A HAZARD. WHEN PULLING INTO TRAFFIC THE CAR DOESN'T GET TO SPEED QUICK ENOUGH.

WITH LESS THAN 250 MILES I HAVE EXPERIENCED 2 INCIDENTS OF ALMOST HITTING THE CAR IN FRONT OF ME FROM A STOP AND 1 OF ALMOST BEING HIT PULLING INTO HEAVY TRAFFIC FROM A STOP. I SEE MANY OTHER SIMILAR COMPLAINTS AND HOPE THIS CAN BE ADDRESSED BEFORE SOMEONE IS HURT OR WORSE DUE TO IT..
