Drove car down street and the car wouldn’t accelerate. Had towed to mechanic who found the direct injection high pressure fuel pump snapped off. When removed from vehicle they found broken bolt in cylinder head and the steel fuel line from pump to injector rail leaking fuel.
I had an issue starting the vehicle. Once it started the check engine light was lit. I stopped at the nearest Autozone for a diagnostic check and the code P00C6 registered for Fuel Pump. I had the vehicle checked by a mechanic and he explained to me this vehicle has (2) fuel pumps. One in the fuel tank and one on the engine, which is considered a high pressure fuel pump. That is where the failure is and the pump requires special tools to install. It is something they can not do and recommend the vehicle go to the dealer. I was stopped at a traffic light and the car just froze. All the dash lights started flashing, the brakes would not work. The car started moving slowly backing up traffic behind me. I barely made it to a parking lot off the road.
Fuel pump isn't pumping gas.
Vehicle runs with reduced engine power. Was initially told the turbo needed cleaned, and it continued to happen. Then was told it needed to be replaced. The final result is that the tube that connects to the turbo keeps falling off. Being told there is no fix, and no recall, we just need to keep putting it back on when it pops off.
I have had my vehicle in for repair three times for an EVAP code. The first visit they found nothing wrong. The second visit they placed the EVAP canister. The third visit they said if the light comes on again it's a faulty part. The light is on again. Since the first occurence, I have noticed the some of the same issues that were reported for the 2020 Equinox fuel pump issues, e.g. hesitation, choking,
The same issue has occurred on my vehicle but the dealership is stating my vehicle is not covered even thought it states it has all the issues stated in this bulletin. N192271200 Charge Air Cooler Disconnect at Throttle Body. The car blows off the hose at the throttle body even after I replace the retainer clip myself. I am now having the dealership repair the hose and clip as it needs both they said. It obviously is a flaw in more vehicles than what they have disclosed. Very unfortunate they do not cover this for all owners in the same year as this series of vehicles.

My vehicle beginning idling and check engine light came on while at red light. So I decided to head to nearest auto parts to see what the code was. The light turned green and my truck didn’t want to go forward. Once it started to pull off it went slow and then gain a little more speed. This could’ve caused an accident. The people from the opposite side of rode would’ve hit and probably killed my son and I. This is not okay and needs to be checked on all vehicles because that’s a very late warning sign and can cause a huge issue. I’m reaching out to Chevrolet tomorrow morning since today is Sunday.
Twice the vehicle has gone into limp mode (15 mph max) on busy highway in last month. Diesel particulate filter clogged both times. Currently has been in Chevy dealer shop for over two weeks. Emission system failure and dealer cannot figure out cause. They are currently replacing many parts and cannot assure us this problem will not reoccur. 47,000 miles. Maintenance has been better than recommended for oil changes and filters. Currently awaiting second repair invoice.
Something is wrong with the brake assist system. The car was serviced literally towards the end of may and the brake assist service light keeps turning on. It is now causing the vehicle to have a check engine light that comes and goes as it pleases and the car now thinks that it is a bucking bronco at times with how hard it runs at times now. We have spoken and seen now multiple others complaining about the fueling system which does not alloe you to fill the gas tank up all the way. The tank holds 14.9 gallons and if the car is empty and on its last drop the car will only allow 12 gallons at best and that takes nearly 20 minutes of fighting with the car at the pump. The electrical in the vehicle is unstable. Multiple times while driving the radio and power to the car just turn off. I have also seen the recalls for the brake problems but when I enter my VIN it comes back all clear. We had a 2017 Chevy Malibu with multiple issues and spoke to Chevrolet about the issues and it wasn't until we traded it in that we started to receive the recall notices. This vehicle has some of the same problems and we have a toddler that we need to keep safe.
There was a recall back in 2019 for this same issue the charge air cooler is still disconnecting from the throttle body. I bought this car in 2021 supposedly the issue was fixed back in 2020 after the recall was issued. The same thing is happening. When I accelerate the air hose connecting to throttle body is disconnecting from and causing the engine warning of reduced engine power to show up. This is very concerning because when driving on the freeway with my family this is happening and this could get someone killed. The fixes back in 2020 are not up to standard or the replacement parts are faulty or the repair was not completed successfully. This has been happening since last year summer
This vehicle has started to lose power was taken to firsteam Norfolk Va where purchased took for oil change and tire rotation also loss of engine power at speeds of 20-32 mph and 50-62 mph. Dealership at Norfolk Va sent to firstteam Hampton VA Chevrolet for diagnosis and came back no engine light and small misfire 3/4 sparkplugs needed changed 177.00. After plugs were changed still had misfire then they felt it was number 4 injector 500.00 but never did work. I took it to national shop for recommended injector and when plugs were pulled mechanic found no new plugs. Injector was replaced with gm part and still misfiring. Norfolk firstteam towed vehicle back to Hampton Va firstteam and they are now giving me the run around. They want a blank check to replace parts till they find the problem. Unexceptable to even ask. Service writer has been very disrespectful and hung up on national shop and myself. When asked questions regarding work done service writer would just talk over us and speak to us disrespectful and then hung up. We have requested service manager at Hampton firstteam Chevrolet contact us and we were told she would tell him later. I have contacted Aston Lewis Jr owner of all firstteam dealerships here in Va requesting help three times and still no response. We need this reported so someone can fix the misfire and power loss the dealership does not know how to fix. Car is under power train warranty . Any help would be nice.
I purchased the crossover 2019in or around Sept 2021 the engine light appeared, it was taken to Reedman Toll Chevy of Springfield and they replaced the mass air flow sensor or oxygen sensor. Sept 2022 the engine light appeared again they replaced the oxygen sensor, Dec 19,2022 the engine light appeared again the vehical was taken to Reedman were it remains and I am being told it's th orifice tube(PVC tube). They stated this part is not covered under warranty after research GM bulletin No.: 20-NA-047 states this part is in fact covered. Reedman states the coverage of the service is $2,000.00 I contacted GM warranty dept (Irene) case#9-8392615536 who stated the part is covered also. Reedman refuses to follow the order given under the bulletin and GM.
Purchased 2019 Sept 2021 engine light appeared fixed mass air flow by Reedman Chevy Sept 2022 engine reappears they fixed oxygen sensor Dec 19 2022 engine light reappears. Taken to Reedman 12/28/22 states orifice sensor or tube discover GM is aware of issue bullentin no.:20-NA-047 Reedman refused to honor repairs. States service will be $2,000.00 after contacting GM Protection Plan stated they give a $300 good will offer toward repair however the part is not covered under warranty(confused).
I see that she is a leak from my fuel tank, so when i researched it online i see there was a recall on it previously. From my understanding this is a safety hazard. It also states there arent any open recalls on my vehicle but i want to make sure this was completed and replaced.
Gas gauge will not go all the way to full. It stops just over 3/4 of a tank, no matter how much fuel you put in the tank. There is no way to accurately determine how much fuel is in the vehicle at any point and time. This is a safety hazard because we could be stranded on the side of the road, not knowing the vehicle would run out of fuel. Also, occasionally when you crank the vehicle, you get a strong odor of fuel in the cabin, when running the A/C. There is nothing specific that is being done differently, and it does not happen every time. We bought this vehicle on 9/18/22 with 27,602 miles on it and as of today, it has 28,594 miles on it. After purchasing it, we noticed the fuel gauge issue and I researched it online, finding out it is a common issue and GM claims to have no idea how to fix it.
Check engine lite want go off low acceleration and. reduce Engine power light came on today .Just got the car in March . Low engine power light came on was on eway and had to pull over . And someone almost hit my kids and I
Fuel leaking from fuel tank and receiving code u18a2 lost communication with fuel pump driver control module.
Fuel line busted. Vehicle only has 53K miles. Could have caused a fire. Must have been a defect in this high pressure line.
The Charge Ari Cooler Duct Disconnected from the Throttle Body. When this happens my car immediately goes into lower power mode. This is a safety concern, when going 70 MPH, it will immediately drop down to 50 MPH. This sudden decrease in speed can cause other drivers to wreck into me and my family. This problem has been confirmed by a dealer. This has not been inspected directly by the manufacturer, however it was inspected by a dealer. There were no warning signs prior to failure, only a warning after the incident occurs. The check engine light comes on.
I was out driving on a normal errand when my car suddenly seemed to lose all ability to accelerate. When I pressed on the accelerator nothing happened and I could only advance in the car at less than 5 MPH. Fortunately I was just leaving my neighborhood and on a residential street where the speed limit was only 35 MPH anyways, but I shudder to think about what could have happened if I lost the ability to accelerate when I was on a highway or interstate, or even making a turn in front of oncoming traffic on a normal road. As any driver knows, you estimate your ability to safely turn in front of oncoming traffic based on your car's accelerator working. If I had made that judgment, attempted to turn, and not been able to accelerate and instead been left in the middle of oncoming traffic, I could have been hit and seriously injured or worse. There were no warning lights or anything that appeared prior to the incident. After losing the ability to accelerate, I received an email from Chevrolet within 10 minutes stating "An issue with the emissions system in your 2019 Chevrolet Equinox has been detected. Please service your vehicle within 7 days. Please disregard this message if your vehicle is already in for service. Inaccurate notifications can be generated during service." My car ended up being towed to the dealer for service where they confirmed and reproduced the problem. They said something about the emissions system valve(s) had to be replaced, and that this was a relatively common problem they had seen in other Chevrolet Equinoxes too, but were not aware of any recall being issued yet.
THE VEHICLE STARTED LEAKING GAS FROM THE TANK AT THE REAR AFTER SITTING FOR 20 MINUTES. THIS PROBLEM HAS ALREADY BEEN RECALLED ON VEHICLES OF THIS CALIBER AND YEAR, JUST THE ALL WHEEL DRIVE VERSION. NOT EXACTLY SURE HOW LONG THIS HAS BEEN GOING ON BECAUSE I TYPICALLY DON'T GO BEHIND THE CAR. AS FOR THE PASSENGER SIDE, THE WARNING LIGHT ON THE MIRROR STOPPED WORKING AT ABOUT 15,000 MILES. VERY POSSIBLY SOONER.

I WAS SITTING AT A STOP LIGHT. WHEN THE LIGHT TURNED GREEN I TOOK MY FOOT OFF THE BRAKE AND APPLIED THE GAS PEDAL. THE CAR DID NOT RESPOND TO THE GAS PEDAL AT FIRST AND JUST SAT THERE. AFTER A FEW SECONDS I WAS ABLE TO START MOVING. THIS SITUATION ALMOST CAUSED ME TO BE REAR ENDED. THIS IS THE SECOND TIME THIS HAS HAPPENED AND HAD THE VEHICLE IN FOR SERVICE A FEW WEEKS AGO FOR SAME ISSUE.

UPON FILLING IT WITH GAS, THE PUMP KEPT SHUTTING OFF ON ME. WHILE DRIVING HOME FROM WORK AT 9:30 PM ON A STATE HIGHWAY, MY 17 YEAR OLD SON HIT A DEER ON THE FRONT PASSENGER SIDE OF THE CAR. THE AIRBAGS DEPLOYED AND HE SLOWED DOWN AND PULLED OVER AND SMELLED SMOKE. HE GOT OUT OF THE CAR AND SAW FLAMES. HE IMMEDIATELY CALLED 911 AND HIS MOTHER. THE CAR WAS ON FIRE AND BURNED UNTIL FIRE COMPANY GOT THERE AND PUT THE FIRE OUT. MOST OF THE PASSENGER SIDE OF THE CAR UNDER THE HOOD WAS DESTROYED. THE CAR WAS A TOTAL LOSS. MY CONCERN IS THAT CAR SHOULD NEVER HAVE CAUGHT ON FIRE. MY SON IS LUCKY HE COULD GET OUT OF THE CAR. HE WAS SHAKEN UP AND GOT WHIPLASH FROM THE IMPACT BUT SEEMS TO BE OK. HOWEVER, MY BRAND NEW 2019 EQUINOX IS NOT OK. I CAN TELL YOU, IF THE CAR HADN'T STARTED ON FIRE, STRUCTURALLY, THERE WASN'T A TON OF DAMAGE. IT COULD HAVE EASILY BEEN REPAIRED. I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW HOW THIS HAPPENED?

I HAVE 33K MILES ON THE VEHICLE AND WHEN DRIVING THE CAR FEELS AS IF IT WANTS TO SHUT DOWN. A FEW RECENT DRIVES, ON CITY STREET, I'VE BEEN FEELING THE CAR STRUGGLING TO ACCELERATE CAUSING A JERKING FORWARD MOTION. ANOTHER ISSUE I HAVE IS I RECENTLY HAD TO PUT AIR IN MY RIGHT REAR TIRE, WHEN I PLUGGED MY TIRE INFLATOR IN THE ELECTRIC SOCKET AND TURNED THE POWER ON, THE CAR SOUNDED LIKE IT WAS STRUGGLING TO STAY ON AND THE ENGINE WAS BECOMING INCREASINGLY NOISIER. I PROCEEDED TO PUT AIR IN MY TIRE AND THE RIGHT BREAK LIGHT BEGAN FLASHING, ONLY THE RIGHT BRAKE LIGHT. I HAD USED MY TIRE INFLATOR IN THE PAST ON SAME VEHICLE ABOUT A YEAR AGO AND HAD ZERO ISSUES. VEHICLE LOST ALL POWER WHILE PULLING INTO A 4 WAY MAIN ROAD. VEHICLE EMERGENCY LIGHTS/FLASHERS DID NOT WORK. COMPLETE ELECTRICAL FAILURE. CAR WAS STALLED IN ACTIVE TRAFFIC LANE DURING NIGHT TIME HOURS. VEHICLE WAS TOWED INTO DEALER FOR FULL DIAGNOSTIC REVIEW- NO ISSUE WAS FOUND WITH VEHICLE, ALTHOUGH SEVERAL EEC TEST CODES WERE DETECTED- P0627, P0629, P01400, U18A2, U1524 AND U18B4+71- MOST CODES HAVING TO DO WITH FUEL PUMP/EMISSION ISSUES. OWNER OF VEHICLE CONSIDERS THIS A SERIOUS ISSUE AS CAR STALLED AT NIGHT, IN A HEAVY TRAFFIC AREA WITH NO LIGHTING OR EMERGENCY FLASHERS WORKING TO PROVIDE PROTECTION FROM ON-COMING TRAFFIC. THERE IS A FUEL LINK THAT APPEARS TO BE COMING FROM WHERE THE FUEL TANK THE LEAK WAS FOUND WHEN I PARK THE CAR AND LET IT SITE FOR A FEW HOURS. A STRONG FUEL SMELL AND A WET SPOT ON THE PAVEMENT UNDER THE FUEL TANK. I HAVE SMELLED THE GASOLINE PREVIOUSLY BUT DIDN'T NOTIC THE LEAK UNTIL I HAD SOMETHING TO UNLOAD FROM MY TRUNK.
PURCHASED CAR ON 06/27/2019. ON 6/22/2019 WHILE DRIVING I HEARD A POP IN THE ENGINE COMPARTMENT. THE VEHICLE HAD 400 MILES. I LOST POWER WHILE DRIVING. I TOOK TO A CHEVROLET DEALERSHIP. DIAGNOSIS WAS A CLIP ON THE FUEL INJECTOR HAD BROKEN. NEW FUEL INJECTOR LINE HAD TO BE REPLACED.

THE VECHICLE'S ENGINE SHUTS OFF WHILE STOPPED FOR A VERY SHORT TIME ON ROADS IN TRAFFIC. IT CAN BE A MAJOR HIGHWAY, OR INTERSTATE AND EVEN NEIGHBORHOOD ROADS. IT CAN BE HAZARDOUS AS THE VEHICLE TAKES A MINUTE TO START BACK UP AND GET GOING. I HAD NO IDEA THIS FEATURE EVEN EXISTED, BEFORE I EXPERIENCED IT AFTER PURCHASING. I AM ALSO EXPERIENCING PROBLEMS WITH THE TAILGATE/TRUNK LOCKING. I LOCK THE VEHICLE, AND ALL DOORS LOCK EXCEPT THE TRUNK. I HAVE ONLY HAD THE VEHICLE SINCE DEC 31,2018 AND AM VERY SURPRISED TO BE EXPERIENCING THESE ISSUES SO SOON.
