I got a P2138 code for Accelerator Pedal Sensor error. From what I have seen this is caused by the two sensors not matching. I have repaired this issue previously about 3 years ago, but it has happened again. This seems to be a common issue with GM cars of this era.

FUEL SYSTEM; CODE P0230. CAM/CRANKSHAFT; solenoid circuit in BANK 1 CODE P0010. RADIO WIRING; Radio is smoking all the time BAD GROUND WIRE OR SHORT IN WIRES. MY VEHICAL STOPPED WHILE I WAS IN DRIVE MOTION GOING APPROXIMATELY 45 MPH. No injuries, and No fatalities BUT MY IMPALA STOPPED RUNNING AND HAVE NOT BEEN ABLE TO START IT SINCE. IN ADDITION NO ONE HAD GOT HURT, I WAS IN OPEN ROAD. I HAVE NOT HAD MY THE VEHICAL SERVICED OR DIAGNOSED BY A SERVICE CENTER. DUE TO A NO CRANK/NO START CONDITION. IT WILL NOT MOVE. PRIOR TO THE FAILURE, WE HAD THE MIL on the dash say POWER ENGINE REDUCED. THAT'S WHEN AT HIGH SPEED ON FREEWAYS OR EXTENSIVE DRIVING PATTERNS.

THIS CIRCUIT IS ALSO NOT PROTECTED BY A FUSE. IT'S A MIRACLE THAT THIS DIDN'T BURN MY CAR TO THE GROUND. THIS IS A VERY LARGE PROBLEM WITH A LARGE NUMBER OF EFFECTED CARS. MINE WAS JUST A SMALL ELECTRICAL FIRE, BUT COULD HAVE BEEN MUCH WORSE.

IN FEBRUARY 2015 HAD NOT DRIVEN VEHICLE FOR TWO WEEK PERIOD AND UPON RETURN VEHICLE WOULD NOT START AGAIN. CHECKED BATTERY AND HAD REPLACED ALONG WITH CLEANING POSITIVE BATTERY POST FOR CORROSION. CHECK ENGINE LIGHT WAS ON FOR TWO TO THREE DAYS THEN CUT OFF - CHECK CODE AT FIRESTONE DEALERSHIP SHOWED CODE P2135 - DEALERSHIP COULD NOT DETERMINE WHERE POSSIBLE POWER DRAINAGE COULD BE COMING FROM AND RECOMMENDED TO TAKE VEHICLE TO CHEVY DEALERSHIP AND HAVE THEM TEST FOR POWER DRAINAGE. AS LONG AS THE VEHICLE IS STARTED/USED WITHOUT PROLONGED PERIOD OF INACTIVITY, VEHICLE OPERATION FOR THIS MODEL YEAR IS ACCEPTABLE.

THE CONTACT ALSO STATED THAT THE AIR BAG ERRONEOUSLY DEPLOYED AND KNOCKED HER UNCONSCIOUS. THE VEHICLE THEN TRAVELED OFF THE ROADWAY, INTO A WOODY AREA AND CRASHED INTO A TREE. THE CONTACT WAS AWOKEN BY THE SCREAMS OF HER SMALL CHILDREN, WHO WERE SITTING IN THE REAR OF THE VEHICLE. TWO CHILD PASSENGERS WERE INJURED AND SUFFERED LACERATIONS TO THE FACE, CONTUSIONS OF THE SHOULDERS, FACE, HEAD INJURIES AND A CONCUSSION. THE CONTACT SUSTAINED A SPRAINED NECK, FRACTURED SPINE, AND A CONCUSSION, CLOTTING IN THE SKULL, A CHEST WALL CONTUSION AND LACERATIONS TO THE LEGS. ALL THREE PASSENGERS REQUIRED MEDICAL ATTENTION. THE CONTACT AND ALL PASSENGERS WERE ABLE TO EXIT THE VEHICLE WITHOUT FURTHER INJURIES. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED OF THE INCIDENT, AND THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED FROM THE SCENE. THE CONTACT WAS ADVISED THAT THE TRANSMISSION AND THE MOTOR HAD BOTH FALLEN OUT OF THE VEHICLE PRIOR TO THE CRASH AND WERE STILL IN THE ROADWAY. THE VEHICLE HAD NOT BEEN DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. AC BLEND DOOR ACTUATOR (THERE ARE 3 OF THEM) IS INSUFFICIENTLY DESIGNED TO HOLD UP TO NORMAL WEAR AND TEAR. THE LOCATION OF THE SWITCHES MAKES MAINTENANCE NEARLY IMPOSSIBLE. IT WOULD BE ASSUMED THAT THE DESIGN WOULD BE SUFFICIENT TO HOLD UP UNDER SEVERAL YEARS USE SINCE ACCESSIBILITY TO THESE PARTS IS VERY DIFFICULT. I'VE BEEN EXPERIENCING THE SAME PROBLEM WITH MY 2006 IMPALA OFF AND ON FOR THE LAST YEAR, MAYBE MORE. THE CAR WILL RANDOMLY GIVE ME AN ERROR OF "ENGINE POWER REDUCED." THE CAR SLOWS TO A CRAWL, HAS NO ACCELERATION, THE ENGINE SHAKES AND IT SPUTTERS UNTIL THE ENGINE IS TURNED OFF. I TOOK IT TO A MECHANIC WHO SAID IT WAS THE TPS SENSOR. HE REPLACED THE THROTTLE BODY. THE CAR RAN FINE FOR A FEW MONTHS AND THEN IT STARTED AGAIN. SINCE I WAS GETTING THE SAME CODES, I TOOK IT BACK TO THE MECHANIC WHO INFORMED ME THAT IT COULD BE AN ELECTRICAL PROBLEM OR IT COULD HAVE BEEN CAUSED BY MY BATTERY, BUT THERE'S NO WAY TO TELL FOR SURE WITHOUT TROUBLESHOOTING. I HAVE SINCE BEEN TO SEVERAL MECHANICS, ALL WHO SAY THE CODES POINT TO THE THROTTLE BODY, BUT THEY ALSO AGREE THAT I SHOULDN'T BE GETTING THESE CODES SO QUICKLY AFTER REPLACING THE UNIT - WHICH COST OVER $300. I'M A SINGLE MOTHER WHO WORKS AND GOES TO GRADUATE SCHOOL FULL TIME. I DON'T HAVE THE RESOURCES TO CARELESSLY DUMP MONEY INTO A CAR. I'VE PUT UP WITH IT BECAUSE I CAN USUALLY PULL OVER, TURN THE ENGINE OFF, WAIT A MINUTE AND IT WILL CRANK BACK UP; HOWEVER, IT HAS GOTTEN PROGRESSIVELY WORSE. LAST NIGHT, I WAS DRIVING DOWN THE INTERSTATE WHEN THE CONSOLE READ "STARTING DISABLED SERVICE THROTTLE." THE ENGINE THEN SHUT OFF WHILE I WAS DRIVING AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS AND LEFT ME STRANDED ON THE SIDE OF A DARK HIGHWAY, ALONE, WITH A CAR FULL OF GROCERIES AND A SON WHO WAS WAITING ON HIS MOM TO GET HOME TO PUT HIM TO BED. THE GM "FIX" FOR THE IGNITION ISSUE IS TO REPLACE KEYS SO THAT NOTHING CAN BE ATTACHED TO THE KEY, INCLUDING NOT EVEN THE FOB, THE "FIX" IS NOT TO REPLACE THE FAULTY PART TO THE IGNITION. I'VE HAD MY CAR SINCE 2006 AND DRIVEN IT ALL THIS TIME WITH A LOT OF OTHER KEYS AND THE FOB ATTACHED. DURING THAT TIME I HAVE HAD NO TROUBLE WITH THE IGNITION. I THINK THERE MAY BE AN ENGINEERING OVERSIGHT: IT STANDS TO REASON THAT HAVING USED THE KEY WITH THE WEIGHT ATTACHED FOR 8 YEARS PROBABLY WOULD HAVE WORN THE INTERNAL CONNECTIONS BASED ON THE WEIGHT OF THE INSERTED KEY. IT ALSO SEEMS REASONABLE, THAT NOW HAVING A KEY THAT IS LIGHT WEIGHT BEING INSERTED INTO THE SAME CHAMBER AS THE HEAVILY WEIGHTED KEY, WILL MEAN THAT THE NEW KEY WON'T FIT OR MAKE THE PROPER CONNECTION IN THE IGNITION BECAUSE THE NEW KEY WILL NOT BE AS HEAVY, AND THEREFORE THE "FIX" IS REALLY CREATING A NEW PROBLEM. WHY WOULDN'T THE WHOLE IGNITION APPARATUS HAVING TO DO WITH THE KEY BE REPLACED AS WELL AS KEYS????? I THINK THIS IS A BIG OVERSIGHT, AND A BIG PROBLEM. ESPECIALLY SINCE ALL THE TESTIMONY I HEARD OR READ ABOUT THIS ISSUE FROM GM IS THAT THEY WOULD REPLACE THE "MIS-SIZED PART" --- I WAS SURPRISED TO LEARN FROM MY DEALER THAT IT IS THE KEYS THAT ARE BEING REPLACED, AND WILL NOT BE ABLE TO HAVE THE FOBS ATTACHED. LAST JUNE I WENT TO THE STORE AND TRIED TO OPEN MY BACK DOORS AND THEY WOULD NOT OPEN FROM THE INSIDE. I WAS ABLE TO OPEN ONE OF THE BACK DOORS FROM THE OUTSIDE ONLY. THE DOOR LOCKS INDICATED THE DOORS WERE NOT LOCKED. IF I WAS INVOLVED IN AN ACCIDENT AND NEEDED TO GET PEOPLE OUT OF THE BACK SEAT OF MY CAR THEY WOULD NOT BE ABLE TO GET OUT ON THEIR OWN. THE LOCKING MECHANISMS FAILED ON BOTH DOORS. BOTH DOORS HAS THIS LOCK ISSUE FOR ABOUT 3-4 MONTHS AND THEN ONE OF THE LOCKS STARTED WORKING AGAIN FROM THE INSIDE. EVENTUALLY THE OTHER DOOR STARTED WORKING AGAIN ONCE IT WAS GETTING CLOSE TO WINTER. THIS IS A SERIOUS SAFETY ISSUE THAT NEEDS LOOKED INTO AND A RECALL DONE BY GM. MY 2006 CHEVROLET IMPALA IS EXPERIENCING PROBLEMS WITH THE TIRE PRESSURE MONITORING SYSTEM, AS WELL AS THE REMOTE KEYLESS ENTRY SYSTEM. BOTH SYSTEMS USE THE SAME ANTENNA IN THE VEHICLE, AND THE MODULE CONTROLLING EACH SYSTEM IS DEFECTIVE. MANY TIMES A DAY WHILE DRIVING, AN ALERT WILL APPEAR SAYING "SERVICE TIRE MONITORING SYSTEM" AND I WILL LOSE READINGS OF MY TIRE PRESSURES. MANDATED IN 2005, TPMS SYSTEMS ARE AS IMPORTANT AS AIR BAGS AND SEAT BELTS IN VEHICLES, SO THIS IS A SERIOUS SAFETY CONCERN. I RECENTLY HAD A FLAT TIRE THAT COULD HAVE RESULTED IN A BLOWOUT ON THE EXPRESSWAY HAD I NOT VISUALLY CHECKED THE TIRE BECAUSE THE TPMS SYSTEM WAS NOT WORKING CORRECTLY. I HAVE FOUND A SERVICE BULLETIN REGARDING THE ISSUE WITH A DOCUMENT ID OF 1990156. I HAVE CONTACTED GM ABOUT THE ISSUE AND WAS TOLD THAT IT WAS NO LONGER COVERED BY THE ORIGINAL VEHICLE WARRANTY AND A SERVICE BULLETIN IS NOT ENOUGH FOR THEM TO REPLACE THE EQUIPMENT WITHOUT CHARGING MYSELF, THE CONSUMER. THIS SAFETY ISSUE NEEDS TO BE ADDRESSED BECAUSE THESE SYSTEMS ARE IN PLACE TO INCREASE THE SAFETY OF THE VEHICLE AND THEY ARE NOT SERVING THAT PURPOSE DUE TO POOR DESIGN RIGHT OUT OF THE FACTORY. MY CAR HAD BEEN SHOWING THE SERVICE BATTERY CHARGING SYSTEM FOR ABOUT TWO DAYS. WHEN I CALLED SOUTHEAST KIA OF SOMERSET, THEY TRIED TO SAY IT WAS THE ACTUALLY BATTERY, KEEP IN MIND, I HAVE ONLY HAD THIS CAR FOR SIX WEEKS. I KNEW THAT IT WASN'T BECAUSE I HAD BEEN HAVING NO PROBLEMS WITH MY CAR WHATSOEVER BEFORE THIS, AND I WAS RAISED AROUND MECHANICS AND TRUCK DRIVERS, I DO KNOW A LITTLE ABOUT CARS. WHEN I TURNED THE CAR OFF IT WOULD NOT START BACK UP. EVERY TIME I BRING IN THIS VEHICLE I AM CHARGED 100 DOLLARS FOR THEM TO SAY WHAT IS WRONG AND WHEN THEY (SUPPOSEDLY) FIX IT ( OR SAY IT DID NOT DO IT WITH THEM AND ITS ALL IN MY HEAD AND YOUR DOING SOMETHING WRONG TO IT), IT DOES IT AGAIN. THE CHARGING SYSTEM IS OK BUT THERE IS NO POWER AT ALL THRUOUT THE CAR BUT IF YOU WAIT A COUPLE OF HOURS IT WILL SHOW LIGHTS BUT IT WILL NOT EVEN CRANK AND THEN GO COMPLETELY DEAD. THIS SAME PROBLEM HAS HAPPENED FROM EVERY OTHER CUSTOMER WHO HAS HAD THIS PROBLEM AND COST THEM PLENTY OF MONEY WITHOUT A SOLUTION. I HAVE RESEARCHED YOUTUBE, YAHOO ANSWERS, FIXIT, ETC... AND THIS IS WHAT ALL THESE OTHER NUMEROUS CUSTOMERS ARE SAYING EVEN WHEN THEY WENT TO THE CHEVY CERTIFIED MECHANICS THROUOUT THE COUNTRY. I DO NOT HAVE THE RESOURCES TO KEEP PAYING FOR DIAGNOSIS AND NUMEROUS POSSIBLE FIXES THAT DOES NOT REMEDY THE PROBLEM. BRINGING THE VEHICLE TO A CHEVY DEALER FOR THEM TO CHARGE ME AN ARM AND A LEG TO NOT FIX THE PROBLEM ( AND NO THEY WILL NOT GIVE YOU A REFUND FOR NOT FIXING THE PROBLEM THAT THEY CHARGE A 100 DOLLARS UPFRONT TO DIAGNOSE). MY FIANCE WAS DRIVING MY CAR ON HIS WAY TO PICK MY CHILDREN UP FROM THEIR GRANDMOTHERS AND SMELLED SOMETHING BURNING. AS HE WAS TRYING TO FIND A PLACE TO PULL OVER SMOKE CAME INTO THE VEHICLE NEAR HIS FEET AND ALL OF A SUDDEN THE CAR WAS ON FIRE. HE PULLED OVER INTO A RESTAURANT PARKING LOT BUT BY THEN THE ELECTRIC WAS OUT IN THE CAR SO THE DOORS WERE LOCKED AND HE WASN'T ABLE TO OPEN THE DOOR. GOOD THING HE HAD THE WINDOWS DOWN PRIOR TO THE FIRE BECAUSE THAT WAS HIS ONLY ESCAPE. ONE OF THE EMPLOYEES BROUGHT OUT A FIRE EXTINGUISHER AND TRIED TO PUT IT OUT WITH NO LUCK. THE FIRE DEPARTMENT ARRIVED AND FINALLY WAS ABLE TO PUT THE FIRE OUT. IT WAS DETERMINED THAT THE FIRE WAS IN THE AREA OF THE FUSE PANEL AND WIRING HARNESS. MY CAR IS A TOTAL LOSS AFTER JUST PAYING IT OFF JUST TWO WEEKS AGO! HEARTBREAKING. I'VE BEEN DOING MY RESEARCH AND WAS SURPRISED TO FIND THAT I'M NOT THE ONLY PERSON THAT THIS HAD HAPPENED TO. I PURCHASED A 2006 IMPALA SS, JUST RECENTLY AFTER REACHING 60,000 MILES MY TRANSMISSION STARTED SLIPPING IN 4TH GEAR AND OVERDRIVE AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS. A SHORT 300 MILES LATER THE TRANSMISSION FAILED COMPLETELY WHILE DRIVING HOME FROM WORK ON THE INTERSTATE. I HAD THE CAR TOWED TO A LOCAL TRANSMISSION SHOP WHERE I WAS TOLD IT EITHER NEEDED TO BE REBUILT OR REPLACED. I HAD IT REBUILT FOR $2442 ALL OUT OF MY OWN POCKET BECAUSE MY POWERTRAIN WARRANTY HAD ALREADY EXPIRED. NOW A MERE 3 MONTHS LATER AND NOW CURRENTLY AT 69,200 MILES THE NEW TRANSMISSION IS SHOWING THE SAME EXACT SYMPTOMS IT HAD WHEN IT FAILED THE FIRST TIME. AGAIN WITH NO WARRANTY AND REPAIR COSTS OVER 2000 DOLLARS I WILL SOON BE FORCED TO REPLACE THE TRANSMISSION AGAIN. CAR IS COMPLETELY TOTALED AND I OWE MORE ON IT THAN IT IS WORTH. LUCKILY I HAVE GAP INSURANCE BUT FINDING A NEW CAR WITHOUT A SIZEABLE DEPOSIT IS NEARLY IMPOSSIBLE. TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2006 CHEVROLET IMPALA. THE CONTACT STATED THAT HE HAS TO ROUTINELY REPLACE THE BATTERY. ON ONE OCCASION, WHEN THE BATTERY DROPPED BELOW 8 VOLTS, IT LOCKED THE TRANSMISSION AND PREVENTED THE VEHICLE FROM SHIFTING INTO GEAR. THE DEALER AND MANUFACTURER DID NOT ASSIST. RECALL ON SOMETHING IN THE BRAIN OF THE CAR (IT'S COMPUTER).ABOUT 2 WEEKS LATER CAR STARTED LOSING POWER ON THE FREEWAY GOING TWENTY FIVE AND THE RPM'S AS HIGH AS IT COULD GO IN THE RED, THE CAR COMPLETELY SHUT OFF AFTER MAKING A LOUD NOISE REBUILD THE TRANSMISSION DUE TO AN ?ELECTRICAL? PROBLEM. THEY DID NOT REPLACE THE TRANSMISSION ON MY NEW CAR 1 WEEK LATER CAR WOULD NOT TURN OFF! KEY OUT AND IT WAS STILL RUNNING KILL BATTERY SEVERAL TIMES SPEAKERS ARE NOT PROPERLY WORKING ALONG WITH THE FACTORY ALARM 2 MONTHS LATER THE CAR DID IT AGAIN I CAN'T EVEN GET THE CAR TO LOCK PERIOD, EVERY TIME I MANUALLY LOCK THE DOORS, THEY AUTOMATICALLY UNLOCK I'M DOWNTOWN LOS ANGELES WITH MY CHILDREN IN THE CAR AND IT TOTALLY JUST OVER HEATS AND CUTS OF IN ALL OF FIVE SECONDS WITH A BIG CITY BUS DIRECTLY BEHIND ME. TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2006 CHEVROLET IMPALA. THE CONTACT STATED THAT ANYTIME IT RAINS, HEAVY WATER LEAKS INTO THE VEHICLE ON THE PASSENGER SIDE THROUGH THE FUSE BOX PANEL. THE FAILURE CREATES A PUDDLE OF WATER ON THE PASSENGER FLOOR AND ALSO AFFECTED THE ELECTRICAL SYSTEM, ESPECIALLY THE WINDOW MOTORS. THE FAILURE HAS BEEN OCCURRING SINCE APRIL OF 2006 AND THE DEALER HAS BEEN UNABLE TO DUPLICATE THE FAILURE. ON MAY 17,2008, THE GENERAL MANAGER WAS ABLE TO SEE THE PUDDLE OF WATER AND STATED THAT THE WATER WAS ENTERING IN THROUGH THE FUSE BOX PANEL. THE TECHNICIANS REPAIRED THE FUSE BOX PANEL DUE TO CORROSION AND SEALED THE COWL. THE FAILURE HAS RECURRED AND THE GENERAL MANAGER ADVISED HIM TO CALL NHTSA TO FILE A SAFETY COMPLAINT. THE CURRENT MILEAGE IS APPROXIMATELY 38,150 AND THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS UNAVAILABLE. UPDATED

BROUGHT TO A DEALER THAT ADVISED THE FRONT SEAL WAS LEAKING THEY REPAIRED IT AND GAVE THE VEHICLE BACK. THEN THE REAR DEFROSTER STOPPED WORKING AND SHE STILL SMELLED THE BURNING. THE VEHICLE WAS BROUGHT TO THE DEALER AGAIN AND THEY ADVISED THAT THE WIRING HARNESS WAS MELTED AND THAT THEY WERE SURPRISED THAT THE VEHICLE DID NOT CATCH FIRE. THE DEALER REPLACED THE WIRING AND SHE STILL EXPERIENCED THE BURNING SMELL. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN BACK TO THE DEALER AND THEY CONTACTED THE MANUFACTURER WHO ADVISED ON HOW TO REPAIR THE ISSUE. 2006 CHEVY IMPALA SS HAS HAD SEVERAL MECHANICAL ISSUES MOST RECENTLY FLAT TIRES. THE FIRST INCIDENT WAS A FRONT RIGHT TIRE LOOSING AIR SLOWLY. TODAY THE FRONT LEFT TIRE WENT FLAT SUDDENLY AND ON THE INTERSTATE. THE DAMAGED SECTION OF TIRE WAS ON THE INSIDE AND APPEARED TO HAVE BEEN PUNCTURED BY ANOTHER PIECE OF THE SUSPENSION. THE DEALER SHIP INSISTS THAT I NEED TO PAY FOR REPAIRS EVERYTIME. THE CAR IS AN UNBELIEVABLE INCONVENIENCE. *JB

I PURCHASED A 2006 CHEVROLET IMPALA LTZ IN DECEMBER OF 2005 AND APPROXIMATELY 3 MONTHS AGO I STARTED TO RECEIVE A MESSAGE FROM THE DRIVER INFORMATION CENTER THAT THE TIRE PRESSURE MONITOR SYSTEM NEEDED TO BE SERVICED. I HAVE TAKEN THE VEHICLE TO OUR LOCAL CHEVROLET DEALER ON AT LEAST FIVE OCCASIONS FOR THIS PROBLEM AND IT IS STILL NOT FIXED. THE DEALERSHIP HAS MORE THAN FULFILLED IT'S PART OF THE BARGAIN IN THAT THEY HAVE RE-PROGRAMMED THE SYSTEM ON AT LEAST TWO OCCASIONS AND HAVE REPLACED THE ENTIRE INSTRUMENT CLUSTER AT THE SUGGESTION OF THE FACTORY REP. INDIVIDUAL SENSOR ON THE PROBLEM WHEEL, (RIGHT REAR), HAS ALSO BEEN REPLACED, ALL TO NO AVAIL. THERE HAVE BEEN NUMEROUS CONTACTS BETWEEN THE DEALERSHIP AND THE MANUFACTURER DURING THIS TIME. THE LAST THAT I HEARD AFTER HAVING THE VEHICLE AT THE SHOP FOR TWO DAYS WAS THAT THEY WERE WAITING FOR A CALL BACK FROM A SERVICE REP AND THAT THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONSIDERING REPLACING THE ENTIRE RIGHT WHEEL AND HUB. IN ORDER FOR THE KEYLESS ENTRY TO FUNCTION CORRECTLY, CONTACT HAS TO BE DIRECTLY IN FRONT OF THE VEHICLE. THE CONTACT HAS TAKEN HIS VEHICLE TO THE DEALERSHIP AT LEAST 5 TIMES AND HE CONTINUES TO HAVE THE SAME ISSUES WITH HIS VEHICLE. CONTACT CURRENTLY HAS THE VEHICLE AT THE DEALERSHIP AND THEY EXPLAINED TO HIM THAT THEY WON'T BE ABLE TO REPAIR THE VEHICLE UNTIL FURTHER THE MANUFACTURE PROVIDES INFORMATION ON HOW TO PERFORM THE REPAIR. CAR SPEEDS UP WITH NO CRUISE CONTROL WHEN I THE HIT BRAKE IT GOES BACK TO NORMAL SPEED. IT IS AN INTERMITTENT PROBLEM. CAR WANTS TO STOP AT STOP SIGNS MUST STEP ON GAS TO KEEP RUNNING. DRIVING ALONG CAR SOMETIMES FEEL LIKE ITS NOT GETTING GAS AND SHAKES AND MISSES. AIR CONDITION WORKS SOMETIMES BLOWS COLD THEN GOES TO HOT AIR. I THINK THIS IS UNSAFE. DEALER CAN'T FIND PROBLEMS CHEVY WON'T DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT. THIS IS A 2006 CHEV IMPALA WITH 3.9 V6 ENGINE 8400 MILES ON IT . WE BOUGHT CAR IN MAY 2006 AND PROBLEMS STARTED RIGHT AWAY. *JB
