I bought a used car as is for $6700.00 and was told that the car was nothing wrong with it but within the first month 07/02/25 the car has been to 3 different shops and in the shop 5 different times all due to brake problems since I bought the car I have had to replace both front calipers and rotors brake pads wheel bearings and on the back both brake pads plus new tires and it's still not fixed the ABS traction and stability lights are on i could of caused a wreck I only drive it to the store with the money I had paid for the car putting it in a shop I shouldn't of had to do they sold me a dangerous car

I started my vehicle in the morning to let it warm up. I come back out to get myself and my son in the vehicle to go to work and take him to school. My dash upon entry had a check engine light on, and the message it displayed was "engine power reduced." I put my car into reverse, having no choice but to drive it and the traction control went out. My father in law pulled the code and it said something about the accelerator sensor. This is a known issue and recall in other models and I wanted to report it is also happening in my model.

THE TRANSMISSION GO OUT AT ANY TIME WHILE YOU'RE DRIVING IT'LL JUST STOPPED IN THE MIDDLE OF TRAFFIC WHICH CAN CAUSE AN ACCIDENT THE COMPANY CHEVROLET NEW THAT THEY PUT BAD TRANSMISSION IN THOSE CARS AND LIGHTS BLINK ON AND OFF. DRIVING HOME ONE NIGHT AFTER JUST HAVING MY VEHICLE REPAIRED A FEW WEEKS EARLIER, WITHOUT WARNING, MY VEHICLE BEGAN TO STALL. JUST BEFORE THE STALL IT WAS DRIVING COMPLETELY NORMAL WITH NO ISSUES AT ALL. SUDDENLY THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON ALONG WITH THE MESSAGES OF SERVICE STABILTRACK, TRACTION CONTROL DISABLED, AND LOW ENGINE POWER. WHEN I TOOK THE VEHICLE TO THE DEALER I BOUGHT IT FROM I WAS TOLD THAT THERE WAS AN AFTERMARKET SENONDARY AIR CHECK VALVE THAT WAS CAUSING THE ISSUE. WITH THIS THEY GAVE ME THE FOLLOWING CODES; P0068, P0340, P0651, AND P2135. DUE TO ME JUST RECENTLY GETTING THIS PART REPLACED THIS PAST FEBRUARY I TOOK IT BACK TO THE MECHANIC THAT REPLACED IT. WHEN I RECEIVED THE VEHICLE BACK IT WOULD NO LONGER EVEN START. THE MECHANIC THEN INFORMED ME THAT THE AIR VALVE WOULD NOT CAUSE THIS ISSUE AND THERE WAS SOMETHING ELSE WRONG WITH THE VEHICLE AND TO TAKE IT TO ANOTHER DEALER. WHEN THAT WAS DONE I WAS TOLD A SECOND TIME THAT IT WAS THE AIR VALVE. I HAVE NOW COME OUT OF POCKET TWICE FOR TOWS THAT I CAN'T AFFORD. ALONG WITH PAYING FOR AN EXPENSIVE PART POSSIBLY TWICE. VEHICLE ONLY HAS 50K MILES ON IT AND HAS NEVER GIVEN ME ANY ISSUES UNTIL THIS YEAR.

AS I ACCELERATED TO MERGE ONTO THE INTERSTATE, THE SAME ALERTS CAME BACK ON IN ADDITION TO "STARTING DISABLED, SERVICE THROTTLE". SHORTLY THEREAFTER, MY CAR BECAME COMPLETELY DISABLED AND SHUT DOWN AS I WAS ON THE INTERSTATE- THE ENGINE CUT OFF, NO POWER STEERING, NO ACCELERATION!! THANKFULLY, I WAS ABLE TO SAFELY PULL OFF THE SIDE OF THE INTERSTATE. I HAD THE VEHICLE TOWED AND THE CAR STARTED RIGHT UP AND SEEMS TO RUN FINE AT THE REPAIR SHOP. THIS CONDITION MAY RESULT IN REDUCED ENGINE POWER AND LOSS OF TRACTION CONTROL ASSIST." ACCORDING TO THEM, I WILL KNOW WHEN MY INFORMATION CENTER DISPLAYS THE WARNING AND THEN THEY WILL BE WILLING TO CORRECT THEIR POOR WORKMANSHIP, BUT NOT UNTIL THAT TIME. I WAS DRIVING MY CAR ON THE HWY GOING ABOUT 70-75 MPH WHEN IT HAPPENED TO ME. THE ROAD CONDITION WAS NICE WITH NO SIGNS OF WATER ON THE HIGHWAY DURING THE HOURS OF 2 PM, GREAT SUNNY DAY. WHILE DRIVING NORTHBOUND ON I-75 IN SOUTHERN KY, THE CAR SUDDENLY LURCHED A LITTLE AND "TRACTION CONTROL" AND "STABILIZATION" ERRORS DISPLAYED FOLLOWED BY "REDUCING POWER." AND, THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON. I CALLED MY CHEVY DEALER AND ASKED IF IT WAS SAFE TO CONTINUE DRIVING - THEY SAID YES, AS LONG AS THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT WASN'T FLASHING. WE WENT ABOUT 5 - 10 MORE MILES AND THE DISPLAY FLASHED SOMETHING ABOUT THROTTLE PROBLEM AND THEN "SHUTTING DOWN ENGINE", WHICH IT DID IMMEDIATELY WITH NO WARNING WHILE WE WERE DOING ABOUT 70 - 75MPH IN THE MIDDLE OF THE 3 NORTHBOUND LANES OF I-75. I HAD TO TRY TO STEER TO THE SHOULDER WITH NO POWER STEERING OR BRAKES. ONCE THERE, I TRIED TO RESTART THE CAR AND NOTHING HAPPENED - IT DISPLAYED "STARTER DISABLED." WE CALLED OUR ROAD SERVICE AND THEY TOOK OUR INFO, FOUND THE NEAREST CHEVY DEALER WHO SAID THEY COULD WORK ON IT ASAP IF WE GOT IT IN THERE.
