I have a 2014 Impala limited I started having problems within 6 months after I bought the vehicle from Bergstrom Chevrolet in Wisconsin it was involving the ABS anti-lock stability track and traction control and the braking and steering we're all feeling and locking up while I was driving it presented and problems and endangering my life and the life of any passengers in the vehicle the brakes will lock up and there was no warning before I locked up no lights came on and it would pull to the left or pull to the right depending on which ABS was locking up and it was fixed one time at the dealership then it was fixed again at the dealership later maybe about another 3 to 6 months after and went up for the same thing again and the parts were replaced now I again have had nothing but problems with the braking system. Also the valve that controls the pressure in the fuel tank malfunctioned which caused the car to run irrraticaly it would start hard,stop running at all stops rough ideling and unable to pump gas into the car without the gas pump stopping continuously making the time that it would take to fill the gas tank 3 to 4 times longer than it did that was fixed and it is malfunctioning again. I'm on my fourth time of having my car anti-lock brake system failing on my car multiple systems including the electrical system failing. The dash lights would go off on. The exterior lights going off and on. The car has been off of the streets and unable to be driven many times. I have taken my car in to the Dealership from where I purchased it from. By the third time my car warranty had expired. Then everything was still not repaired all the systems were not ever working correctly. And now the repairs were needed to be paid in full by myself. The cost to me had just begun when it should have been resolved. In excess of $6,000 was what it would cost me the third time I had the Impala in for everything and now it's gone out again and I'm having to get this repaired.

I have push to start car. On my lunch i starting my car and I immediately notice the rpm went to 2500, which is high and it went up to 3000 and then the warning light flashed stability track error and check engine and swerving light I took a pic. I turn car off and wait a few min turned car back on and it was fine. No errors drove to get lunch and back no issues. Then on leaving work s ame thing happened but the error didn't go away. I was able to shift out of gear. Hard knocking, gear shifter light all white no clue what gear it was in I moved to another parking spot but was slow moving very delayed. Parked and now waiting for tow truck

The vehicle was taken to the dealer where it was diagnosed with a failed actuator. The contact was informed that the actuator needed to be replaced. The vehicle was being repaired. The contact stated that a total of eleven actuators had been replaced in the vehicle since 2018. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 122,000.

Fourth time I had submitted this text so this one will be vague. I've had to Repair my stuts and shocks and brakes to my vehicle due to ongoing issues with tires while divingand hitting small speesbumps and potholes. I did replace low performance tires and still was an issue with my struts and shocks when I drive causing me to hit a bump or a small hole and diverts me to the next lane of ongoing traffic also I had to my battery replaced twice. To find out that it was only due to corrosion and the battery cables slipping was frustrating cause I did replace the battery and key fob battery already. Car wouldn't start and when it did it took forever hours to restart and engine still seems to get bogged down In ongoing traffic. Which was the prior issue no power no matter how hard i press the gas. I took to autozone and they did a reading which came back that everything was okay including the battery which was obviously not okay. It was leaking fluid and i have already replaced year and half ago due to same issue. They cables seem to slip over time on its own. What to do? Thank you for your time to look into this issue. Had a new catalyst converter installed new up steam down steam 02 sensor and it say Catalytic converter system is below threshold bank one had numerous parts put on and the engine light won’t stay off I don’t have a lot of money to keep fixing it the light goe out for a couple days come back on

The 2014 Chevy Impala is dangerous. When the rocker arm control valve and related parts fail or the camshaft solenoids and sensors fail the car will drive rough and eventually just cut off in the middle of traffic highway or residential. This is what it did on me, putting me in a very dangerous position. The economic loss is still devastating financially as all 2.5 and 3.6 engines arent covered by GM special warranty but they should be all covered. My VIN number was not included when it should be.

When pulling up to a stoplight the car would often downshift, surge with power, and nearly overpower the brakes. The car started losing oil from its rear main seal. When I finally had the seal replaced the repair shop found that pieces of the thrust bearing were laying in the oil pan. The engine and transmission had to be removed from the vehicle in order to replace the thrust bearing. They showed me a box full of parts, but I did not keep any.

IT WAS A RECALL ISSUED IN 2014 FOR STABILITRAK FOR BAD GROUNDS ON MY CHEVY IMPALA AND I WENT TO CHEVY ABOUT IT AND PAID FOR THE DIAGNOSTICS TO CHECK AND THEY TOLD ME IT WAS THE TRANSMISSION THAT I NEEDED. ALSO, THE PAPER DOESN'T TELL ME I NEEDED A TRANSMISSION FIXED, SO I TOOK IT TO 3 DIFFERENT TRANSMISSION SHOPS AND THEY SAID IT WAS THE GROUND THAT WAS BAD. BUT I WAS NOT PAYING FOR IT AND IT WAS A RECALL ISSUED IN 2014 THAT IS HAPPENING AND IS HAPPENING TO SEVERAL OTHERS AS WELL. I CALLED THE GM AND ASKED IF ITS ANYTHING THEY CAN DO ABOUT IT SINCE IT WAS UNDE RECALL THEY ARE SAYING NO. AND THE I HAVE TO GO PAY FOR DIAGNOSTICS AGAIN SO THEY CAN SEE WHAT IT IS BECAUSE IT MAY NOT BE SAME AND I DID BEFORE AND CHEVY SAID IT WAS THE TRANSMISSION AND THE OTHER SHOPS SAID THE TRANSMISSION IS IN GREAT SHAPE IT WAS THE GROUNDS THATS BAD AND THAT IF THE ISSUE WAS UNDER A RECALL IT SHOULD BE DONE AGAIN. I WAS DRIVING TO MY SISTER'S HOUSE ON SEPT. 27 2020. WHEN MY CAR STARTED MAKING A LOUD NOISE FROM THE ENGINE AND I NOTICED THE ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON. I PULLED OVER CALLED MY HUSBAND, WHEN HE GOT THERE HE OPENED THE HOOD AND NOTICED THE CATALYTIC CONVERTER BROKE COMPLETELY OFF MY ENGINE. WE MANAGED TO GET TO A FRIENDS DOWN THE ROAD FOR THE NIGHT UNTIL WE ABLE TO GET IT TOWED TO THE DEALER'S THE NEXT DAY. WHEN I CALLED THE AND TOLD THEM WHAT HAPPENED THEY TOLD IT WAS MY FAULT THAT I MUST OF HIT SOMETHING TO MAKE FALL OFF. I DO NOT HAVE ANY OTHER UNDERNEATH MY CAR, I TRIED TO TELL THEM THIS WAS A SAFETY ISSUE AND THAT I COULD HAVE POSSIBLY BURNED TO DEATH IN MY OWN CAR IF I HADN'T OF PULLED OVER UPON HEARING...THANKFULLY I WAS IN AN AREA WHERE I COULD PULL OVER. TOOK MY VEHICLE IN FOR ITS REGULAR OIL CHANGE. A FEW DAYS LATER, THE CAR STARTED DRIVING FUNNY. I NOTICE THAT WHEN I WENT TO ACCELERATE THAT THE VEHICLE STARTED SHAKING. AFTER IT HAPPENED A FEW MORE TIMES WITHIN THAT SAME WEEK, MY CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON. I DECIDED TO TAKE IT BACK TO THE CHEVY DEALERSHIP WHERE I HAD THE OIL CHANGE, NOT BEFORE CALLING THE SERVICE DEPT. SEVERAL TIME IN THE WEEK TO VOICE MY CONCERNS. I WAS TOLD TO BRING THE VEHICLE IN AND HAVE THEM CHECK MY OIL LEVEL TO MAKE SURE ALL WAS WELL. I TOLD THEM WHAT I WAS EXPERIENCING AND THAT THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT WAS ON AND ASKED COULD THEY RE-CHECK MY OIL LEVEL. THE SERVICE ADVISOR CHECKED AND SAID THAT THE OIL WAS FINE. SHE THEN SUGGESTED THAT I PAY $112.48 DOLLARS FOR A DIAGNOSTIC TEST, BECAUSE THAT WOULD BE THE ONLY WAY TO DETERMINE WHY THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT WAS ON. I DID! ONLY FOR THEM TO TELL ME THAT IT WAS P2645 INTAKE ROCKER ARM CONTROL CIRCUIT SOLENOID. THEN SHE GAME ME A QUOTE OF $407.35 TO FIX THE PROBLEM. I WAS THEN INFORMED THAT I HAD TO PAY FOR THE PART UPFRONT BEFORE ANYTHING COULD BE DONE AND ON TOP OF THAT, THIS PART WAS ON BACK-ORDER AND THAT IT WOULD TAKE WEEKS TO FILL THE ORDER. I NEED TO USE MY VEHICLE TO GET AROUND AND THIS WAS NOT SAFE TO DRIVE! THIS WAS OVER 2 MONTHS AGO. I THEN TURNED TO THE INTERNET TO DO MY RESEARCH ONLY TO FIND OUT THAT IS A FAULTY PART FROM THE GM MANUFACTURE. AND GM WAS NOT WILLING TO REPLACE THE PART EVEN AFTER THEY PLACE THIS PART IN MY VEHICLE KNOWINGLY THAT THIS WAS A DEFECTED PART AND THAT DOWN THE ROAD IT WOULD BE FAULTY, NOT ONLY IN MY 2014 BUT THE 2015 CHEVY IMPALA'S AND THE CHEVY MALIBU. MY CAR WAS TAKEN TO BE INSPECTED BY COURTESY CHEVROLET. THEY CLEARLY DOCUMENTED THAT I DID HAVE A PROBLEM WITH THE CATALYTIC CONVERTER. THERE HAS BEEN PAST SAFETY RECALLS ON THE CATALYTIC CONVERTER CRACKING. ACCORDING THE DOCUMENT THAT I WAS GIVEN IT CLEARLY STATES THAT IT WAS A WELDING FAILURE. THE PART THAT IS CURRENTLY ON THE CAR IS THE ORIGINAL PART THAT WAS PUT ON THE PART WHEN IT WAS BEING MADE. IT WAS SITTING THERE AT THE CHEVY DEALER FOR A MONTH AND A HALF. THEY TOLD ME TO COME GET IT BECAUSE THEY DIDN'T HAVE THE PART TO FIX IT AND THEY DIDN'T KNOW WHEN THE PART WAS GOING TO BE AVAILABLE. I HAVE BEEN IN CONTACT WITH GMC SINCE DECEMBER OF 2019. GMC DOESN'T KNOW WHEN THE PART WILL BE AVAILABLE. I CAN'T DRIVE MY CAR!! AROUND 100,000 MILES (ABOUT 5 YEARS OLD) I STARTED RECEIVING A SIDE DETECTION SYSTEM WARNING AND IGNORED IT FOR A COUPLE OF MONTHS BECAUSE I DIDN'T FEEL LIKE I WAS DEPENDENT ON THE BLIND SPOT WARNINGS. ONE MORNING I STARTED MY VEHICLE AND I GOT AN ERROR MESSAGE FOR ABOUT EVERY SENSOR ON THE CAR. THE CAR STARTED IT BUT THE ENGINE WAS RUNNING ROUGH. LUCKILY, I WAS ABLE TO MAKE IT TO A MECHANIC. THEY FOUND OUT THAT THE ELECTRICAL SYSTEM WAS SHORTING OUT DUE TO THE BAD SIDE DETECTION SYSTEM SENSOR. I HAD TO PAY ALMOST $750 TO REPLACE THE BAD SENSOR. THE WORST PART IS NOW ABOUT 18,000 MILES LATER, I'M GETTING THE SAME SIDE DETECTION SYSTEM ERROR. IT MUST BE A SERIOUS DESIGN FLAW IF THE REPLACEMENT PART IS LASTING LESS THAN 20,000 MILES AND LESS THAN YEAR. NOW, I HAVE TO BALANCE WASTING ANOTHER $750 VERSUS MY ELECTRICAL SYSTEM SHORTING OUT DUE TO THE FAILING SENSOR - HOPEFULLY, THIS SHORTING OUT DOESN'T OCCUR DURING HEAVY TRAFFIC AND CAUSE AN ISSUE. A FEW SIMPLE INTERNET SEARCHES SHOWS THAT MANY CAR OWNERS ARE HAVING THIS ISSUE, I CAN'T BELIEVE THE GOVERNMENT DOESN'T FORCE CHEVY TO ISSUE A RECALL.

I WAS INFORMED THE VEHICLE WILL NOT PASS INSPECTION AND THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT WAS STILL ON DUE TO A ROCKER ARM OIL CONTROL VALVE NEEDING TO BE REPLACED. THE CAR IS STILL AT THE DEALERSHIP WAITING FOR A PART THAT'S ON BACKORDER AND THE PART NEEDED IS GM #12633613 ROCKER ARM OIL CONTROL VALVE. AFTER DOING SOME RESEARCH MYSELF, I DISCOVERED THIS PART FAILS COMMONLY ON MY VEHICLE MAKE, MODEL, AND YEAR AS WELL AS 2014-2015 CHEVY MALIBUS PRODUCED WITH THE SAME ENGINE. GM NOR ANY AFTERMARKET COMPANIES HAVE THIS PART IN STOCK. I'VE CONTACTED GM AND WAS ONLY TOLD THEY DON'T KNOW WHEN THEY WILL HAVE THIS PART AVAILABLE. HOWEVER, A FEW OTHERS WITH THE SAME ISSUE HAVE BEEN TOLD BY GM THAT THIS PART IS DISCONTINUED. THERE ARE PEOPLE WAITING MONTHS FOR THIS TO BE FIXED AND GM SEEMS NOT TO WANTING TO PROVIDE A SOLUTION. I WOULD GET ANOTHER VEHICLE BUT THEN I WOULD HAVE TO SPEND HUNDREDS OF DOLLARS FOR THE LOANER CAR I'M CURRENTLY DRIVING FROM THE DEALERSHIP. THIS IS GM'S PROBLEM AND THEY SHOULD BE HELD RESPONSIBLE.

GM DOES NOT HAVE PART NOR ARE THEY PRODUCING IT, BUT THERE'S NUMEROUS COMPLAINTS ONLINE AND THIS IS A MAJOR SAFETY ISSUE. HOW AM I SUPPOSED TO FIX IT AND MAKE MY CAR SAFE IF THEY WON'T MAKE THE PART? EITHER THEY RECALL IT OR THEY PAY FOR FIX AT DEALERSHIP. I'VE HAD TWO SEPARATE MECHANICS VERIFY THIS ISSUE AND CAN PROVIDE DOCUMENTATION IF ASKED. I WAS TOLD THAT MY CAR NEEDED A ENGINE VARIABLE VALVE TIMING OIL CONTROL VALVE BUT THEY HAD TO ORDER THE PART. THIS HAPPENED IN NOVEMBER 2019 AND IT'S NOW FEBRUARY 2020 AND THE PART STILL HASN'T COME IN. WHILE LOOKING FOR THE PART MYSELF I FOUND THAT MANY PEOPLE ARE DEALING WITH THE SAME ISSUE. BECAUSE THIS WAS MY ONLY MEANS OF TRANSPORTATION I'M NOW FORCED TO RENT CARS UNTIL I CAN GET MY CAR FIXED AND I HAVE ABSOLUTELY NO IDEA WHEN I'M GOING TO GET MY CAR BACK.

MY VEHICLE HAS NOT BEEN SAFE TO DRIVE AND SITTING AT THE DEALERSHIP SINCE OCTOBER 15TH 2019, IT IS CURRENTLY JANUARY 8TH 2020. THIS PART IS AN ISSUE FOR ALL 2014 AND 2015 IMPALA AND MALIBU VEHICLES WITH THE ENGINE TYPE IN THE 2014 IMPALA LS. THE DEALERSHIP HAS REFERRED TO THE GM PART AS BEING DEFECTIVE YET GM HAS NOT ISSUED A RECALL. I FEEL GREAT CONCERN THAT THIS CAR STARTED WHEN MY SEAT BELT HAD BEEN REMOVED AND DOOR OPENED, WOULD THEY HAVE AT LEAST CONSIDERED SOME SORT OF PRECAUTION FROM THIS OCCURRING. PLEASE TAKE THIS SERIOUS, I KNOW THAT I WAS NOT ADVISED OF THIS FEATURE, AND HAD I NOT CAUGHT THE CAR OR GOTTEN KNOCKED DOWN AND RUN OVER, THE OUTCOME WOULD HAVE BEEN MUCH MORE SERIOUS. *TR

AT 70 MPH VEHICLE SLOWED ON ITS OWN. VEHICLE INFORMATION CENTER READ "STABILITRAK AND ENGINE POWER IS REDUCED". GOT YELLOW TRACTION CONTROL SYSTEM LIGHT ON THE INSTRUMENT PANEL WITH A "MALFUNCTION INDICATOR LIGHT" BELOW THE SPEEDOMETER.ENGINE RUNNING ROUGH AT ASHLAND, VA EXIT.ENGINE WAS SHUT DOWN THEN RESTARTED WITH SAME WARNINGS AS BEFORE.APPROXIMATELY 45 MINS LATER RESTARTED TO HAVE A LOCAL CHEVROLET DEALER LOOK AT THE CAR. ON RESTART, ALL WARNINGS AND INDICATOR LIGHTS EXCEPT FOR THE "MALFUNCTION INDICATOR LIGHT" WERE OUT AND ENGINE RAN NORMALLY.DEALER GUESSED THAT IT WAS PROBABLY A "GLITCH" AND IT WAS PROBABLY OK TO DRIVE.THE 800 OR SO MILES TO SARASOTA WERE WITHOUT PROBLEMS. ON 8/5/2013 TOOK CAR TO LOCAL DEALER APPROXIMATELY 3 MILES FROM MY HOME. ON ENTERING THE DEALER'S PARKING LOT AT APPROXIMATELY 10 MPH THE PROBLEM REAPPEARED I.E. "ENGINE POWER REDUCED WITH STABILITRAK" WITH WARNING LIGHTS AS BEFORE. THIS IS A SAFETY ISSUE AS IT CAN HAPPEN AT ANY TIME!! *TR
