Chevrolet K2500 Years to Avoid
The 1995 model year had some issues as the GMT400 platform aged, particularly with fuel injection problems on the 7.4L big block. Some 1995 trucks experienced premature front axle wear from heavy use. The 4L80E automatic transmission had torque converter issues under severe duty. Fuel pump failures were common, especially in hot climates or with heavy towing. Brake proportioning issues caused premature rear brake wear. Rust was significant on trucks used for snow plowing. These are minor issues for such capable trucks.
