I can hear the U joint clicking like it wants to fail and suddenly randomly there is a loss of powersteering. This issue caused my father who is on oxygen to go to the hospital.
While driving along the highway the steering wheel began to turn slightly by itself and powering steering displayed on dash and wheel was hard to steer. Fuel pump floater goes out

I DID NOT HAVE A CRASH, OR DRIVING INCIDENT. THIS COMPLAINT IS DUE TO THE FOLLOWING: I RECEIVED THE RECALL (14152) LETTER BACK IN JUNE OF 2014. THE NEEDED PART WAS NOT AVAILABLE AT THAT TIME SO I WAITED FOR ANOTHER LETTER TO COME AND FINALLY RECEIVED A MONTH OR SO LATER (AUGUST). I TOOK MY CAR TO THE WESLEY CHAPEL GM DEALER AND THEY COMPLETED THE RECALL WORK FOR FREE. ALTHOUGH, THEY ENDED UP CHARGING ME $2,400 FOR ELECTRICAL, AND FUSE DAMAGE TO MY CAR THAT THEY SAY WAS NOT RELATED TO THIS RECALL, ALTHOUGH BASED ON EVERYTHING I HAVE READ I BELIEVE THESE CHARGES WERE A REFLECTION OF THE RECALL. MY HANDS WERE TIED AS I NEED MY CAR SO I PAID THE FEE AT THE DEALERSHIP AND CALLED GM AND HAD THEM OPEN UP A TICKET TO LOOK INTO MY ISSUE, CHARGES, AND WHAT THE DEALERSHIP FIXED. GM RESPONDED TO ME THAT THEY COULD NOT HELP ME. NOW, THINKING ALL OF THIS WAS BEHIND ME, I RECEIVE ANOTHER RECALL LETTER WITH THE SAME RECALL NUMBER THIS MONTH (JAN 2015), NOW TELLING ME I STILL HAVE AN OPEN RECALL. WHEN I PUT MY VIN NUMBER INTO THE SYSTEM IT STILL REFLECTS THIS AS AN OPEN RECALL ON MY CAR. I'M SO CONFUSED, AND REALLY FEEL LIKE IM BEING TAKEN ADVANTAGE OF BY GM, AND THE DEALERSHIP. THE POWER STEERING ASSIST SUDDENLY QUIT SEVERAL TIMES WHILE DRIVING; BOTH AT FREEWAY SPEED AND WHILE EXITING THE FREEWAY AT ABOUT 15 MPH. WHEN THE POWER STEERING FAILS THE STEERING COLUMN WOULD MAKE A CLICKING SOUND, SOMETIMES THERE WOULD BE A CHIME AND THE BATTERY LIGHT INDICATOR ON THE DASH. ONLY ONE TIME THE CENTER CONSOLE DISPLAYED "POWER STEERING." WE NARROWLY AVOIDED A CRASH WHILE GOING AROUND A CURVE IN THE FREEWAY. THE LOSS OF POWER ASSIST REQUIRED EXERTING MORE FORCE THAN NORMAL TO AVOID COLLIDING WITH THE DIVIDER. WHEN THE POWER STEERING RE-ENGAGED WITHOUT WARNING WE SWERVED TOWARDS A TRUCK IN THE ADJACENT LANE. WE TOOK IT TO THE NEAREST DEALER WHO SAID IT'S A FAULTY IGNITION COIL CAUSING A SHORT IN THE POWER STEERING. COST QUOTED WAS $500 TO FIX IN ADDITION TO $450 FOR THE SHIFTER CABLE THAT ALSO WENT OUT. *TR

WHEN TURNING LEFT OR RIGHT OR MERGING INTO TRAFFIC, THE STEERING WHEEL CLICKS AND GETS VERY HARD TO STEER LIKE IT'S PULLING TO THE SIDE, CAUSING ME TO OVERCORRECT BY STEERING IN THE OPPOSITE DIRECTION- IT FEELS LIKE I AM GOING TO LOSE CONTROL OF THE CAR AND IS VERY FRIGHTENING BUT THEN IT STOPS. IT HAS HAPPENED SEVERAL TIMES OVER THE YEARS BUT IS BECOMING MORE FREQUENT. I HAVE ENTERED MY VIN ON THE GM SITE BUT IT SAYS I AM NOT A PART OF THE RECALL. LUCKILY, I WAS IN THE CAR AND WAS ABLE TO GET THE CAR BACK INTO PARK BUT ONLY AFTER IT HIT A FENCE AND DAMAGED THE VEHICLE BECAUSE OF THIS ISSUE. I AM ABLE TO PUT THE VEHICLE INTO DRIVE WHILE THE CAR WAS NOT RUNNING AND THERE WERE NO KEYS IN IT. THERE HAVE ALSO BEEN SEVERAL INSTANCES WHERE I WAS ABLE TO LEAVE IT IN DRIVE AFTER TURNING THE CAR OFF AND TAKING THE KEYS OUT. IT WILL ALSO ALLOW YOU TO PUT THE VEHICLE INTO DRIVE WITHOUT PRESSING THE BRAKE FIRST. THERE HAVE BEEN SEVERAL COMPUTER RELATED ISSUES THAT HAVE ALSO BEGAN TO HAPPEN SUCH AS THE GAS GAUGE NOT WORKING PROPERLY. IT SAYS THAT I AM ON EMPTY WHEN IN FACT THE TANK IS FULL. THE AIR BAG INDICATOR SWITCHES BACK AND FORTH FROM ON TO OFF SO I NEVER KNOW IF MY AIR BAG IS ACTUALLY ON OR OFF. ALL OF THESE ISSUES OCCUR ON A DAILY BASIS. LAST WEEK WE DROVE 48 MILES TO VICTORVILLE AND THE CAR KEPT SHUDDERING AT EVERY STOP SIGN AND TRAFFIC LIGHT WE CAME TO. IT DOES SO WHEN I DECELERATE AND START HITTING THE BRAKES. ACTS LIKE IT IS SEARCHING FOR GEARS AND WANTS TO LUNGE FORWARD OR PULL AWAY. I TOOK THE CAR TO THE DEALER YESTERDAY APRIL 23 AND AFTER PUTTING OUT $98, THE TECHNICIAN COULD NOT DUPLICATE THE PROBLEM.
