CONSUMER STATED THIS VEHICLE IS HAVING THE SAME PROBLEM AS THE RECALL ON THE WINDSHIELD WIPER (98V-150). THIS VEHICLE WAS NOT INCLUDED IN RECALL DUE TO VIN. *AK THE WINDSHIELD WIPERS WILL OPERATE WHEN ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS ARE DRY; HOWEVER, THE WINDSHIELD WIPERS WILL NOT OPERATE DURING A STORM OR WET ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIOKNS. ALSO, THE CRUISE CONTROL LOCKED IN THE ACCELERATION MODE ON THE MULTI-FUNCTION SWITCH RESULTING IN SUDDEN UNWANTED ACCELERATION AND THE DRIVER HAD TO SLAM THE VEHICLE INTO PARK AND APPLY THE BRAKES TO STOP THE VEHICLE. *MJJ
THE ACCELERATOR SPEEDS UP AND STICKS AND THE BRAKES WON'T WORK.ITS ALMOST LIKE HAVING CRUISE CONTROL EXCEPT THAT I DONT HAVE IT.THIS HAS HAPPENED TO ME 5 TIMES NOW AND I'VE HAD THE TRUCK IN TO THE CHEVY DEALER TWICE AND THEY CAN'T FIND ANYTHING WRONG.I NEED TO KNOW IF THERE HAS BEEN A RECALL ON A PROBLEM LIKE THIS AND WHAT IT MIGHT BE SO I CAN GET IT FIXED. IT APPEARS THAT IN MOST CASES THAT AFTER THE VEHICLE HAS BEEN RUNNING FOR MORE THAN 10 MINUTES, THE WIPER SYSTEM WILL NOT WORK. SOME TIMES THE WIPERS WILL NOT WORK AFTER INITIALLY STARTING THE VEHICLE. THEY ALSO ACT SPORADICALLY. IN ADDITION, THE CRUISE CONTROL WILL WORK 95% OF THE TIME. OTHER TIMES, IT DOES'NT WORK AT ALL. I HAVE NOT BEEN ABLE TO FIGURE OUT WHEN IT IS MOST LIKELY NOT TO WORK. *AK
FUEL PUMPS REPLACED OVER 5 TIMES, INJECTORS REPLACED 4 TIMES, COMPLAINED ABOUT ABS BRAKES FROM FIRST DAT OF OWNERSHIP, THEY DONT STOP THE VEHICLE IN A PANIC STOP, 2 ACCIDENTS DUE TO BRAKES!!! INJECTOR LINES WORN THROUGH BY RUBBING ON FUEL LINE UNDER PLENUM MULTIPLE TIMES CAUSES MAJOR FUEL LEAKAGE!! POSSIBLE FIRE HAZARD DEALER CONTACTED, CHEVROLET CONTTACTED. *AK
WHILE DRIVING VEHICLE SUDDENLY ACCELERATED UP TO 50 MPH ON IT'S OWN, CAUSING THE ENGINE TO BLOWOUT. VEHICLE WAS SLAMMED INTO NEUTRAL TO EVENTUALY STOP THE VEHICLE. THE DEALER HAS BEEN CONTACTED. *AK
ENGINE REVS TO REDLINE, MUST SHUT OFF ENGINE WHILE DRIVING, HAS OCCURRED 3 TIMES. VERY DANGEROUS SITUATION. *AK
AS I PROCEEDED TO PASS ANOTHER VEHICLE, THROTTLE STUCK WHILE VEHICLE WAS IN PASSING GEAR. DUE TO HIGH ENGINE RPM, VACUUM ASSISTANCE OF THE BRAKES WAS LOST AS WELL. THIS ALL OCCURED WHILE DESCENDING A LONG HILL WITH A STEEP CURVE AT THE BOTTOM. ALTHOUGH I WAS STANDING HARD ON THE BRAKES, I KEPT GAINING SPEED. WHILE ATTEMPTING TO BRAKE, I SHIFTED TO NEUTRAL. SHIFTING INTO NEUTRAL RESULTED IN EXCESSIVE RPM, SO I HAD TO SHIFT BACK INTO DRIVE GEAR TO KEEP FROM BLOWING THE ENGINE. WHEN THE SITUATION WAS GETTING CRITICALLY DANGEROUS(CURVE LOOMING AHEAD AND STILL GAINING SPEED), AND WHEN I WAS ABOUT TO TURN OFF THE IGNITION (MY LAST REMAINING OPTION), THE THROTTLE FINALLY RELEASED. AT ONE POINT, MY SPEED WAS APPROX. 60 MPH, ALTHOUGH I WAS STANDING ON THE BRAKES. AT THIS POINT, I HAVEN'T YET DETERMINED WHETHER THE CAUSE IS ELECTRONIC OR MECHANICAL. MY SUSPICION IS A FAULT IN THE CRUISE CONTROL. I DO KNOW IT SCARED ME AND IS A POTENTIALLY VERY DANGEROUS PROBLEM. WILL NOTIFY IF I CAN DETERMINE THE EXACT CAUSE OF THE PROBLEM.
WHILE DRIVING THE ENGINE SURGES , CAUSING HARD BRAKING AND LOSS OF STEERING. OWNER HAS REPLACED THE EGR VALVE/ PCV VALVES AND THE FUEL INJECTION. DEALER AND MANUFACTURER HAS BEEN NOTIFIED. *AK
CONSUMER WAS PARKING VEHICLE AT A CURVE SIDE WHEN PRESSED THE BRAKE PEDAL AND THE VEHICLE ACCELERATED UP TO HIGH SPEED, CAUSING VEHICLE TO JUMP CURVE 3-4 FEET FROM A BUILDING. THERE WERE SKID MARKS ON THE CURVE AND ROAD AS IF THE ABS BRAKES OR FRONT TIRES WERE LOCKED. BECAUSE OF THE SPEED OF ACCELERATION, CONSUMER COULD NOT CONTROL VEHICLE FOR IT TO STOP BEFORE HITTING A BUILDING HEAD-ON. THE PROBLEM STILL EXISTS WHEN DRIVING VEHICLE, BUT ONLY WHEN THE ENGINE IS COLD . *AK
ON SEVERAL OCCASIONS THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL STICKS, CAUSE UNKNOWN. PLEASE GIVE ANY FURTHER DETAILS. *AK
CRUISE CONTROL FAILED, NOT ABLE TO DISENGAGE.

CONSUMER WAS ATTEMPTING TO PULL INTO AN PARKING SPACE, FOOT WAS ON THE BRAKE PEDAL WHEN THE VEHICLE SURGED FORWARD, RESULTING IN THE CONSUMER HITTING AN ENBANKMENT. CONSUMER STATES THE VEHICLE IS AWAITING SERVICE AT THE DEALER. *AK
WHILE DRIVING, SUDDENLY THROTTLE STUCK IN WIDE OPEN POSITION, CRUISE NOT ENGAGED, LOST CONTROL, WHEN OVERPOWERED BRAKE, HIT EMBANKMENT.
CRUISE CONTROL DISENGAGES UNEXPECTEDLY.
THERE IS AIR IN THE ABS MODULE AND BRAKE LINES. THERE IS ALSO A PROBLEM WITH THE IDLE CONTROL.

THE CRUISE CONTROL CONTINUES TO ACCELERATE, BRAKES AND SWITCH DON'T SHUT THE CRUISE CONTROL OFF. *AK CONSUMER STATES AS HE WAS LEAVING FOR HOME AND ACCELERATED TO 65 MPH PUSHED THE CRUISE CONTROL BUTTON ON THE TURN SIGNAL LEVER, THE VEHICLE CONTINUEDTO ACCELERATE, CONSUMER TRIED TO USE THE BRAKE PEDAL BUT NO RESPONSE SPEED WAS OVER 80 MPH CONSUMER TRIED TO TURN IT OFF PER ON-OFF SWITCH ON TURN SIGNAL LEVER BUT NO RESPONSE, CONSUMER TURNED OFF ENGINE AND COASTED UP A RAMP THROUGH A RED LIGHT, PUTTING PRESSURE ON BRAKE PEDAL CONTINOUSLY PEDAL WAS VERY HARD, TURNED A HARD RIGHT INTO A SERVICE STATION, VEHICLE STOPPED, CONSUMER GOT OUT OF VEHICLE FOR A FEW MINUTES GOT BACK IN A BRAKE PEDAL WAS STILL HARD, CONSUMER PUT GEAR IN NEUTRAL TURNED IGNITION KEY RPM NEEDLE WAS ALL THE WAY TOO THE RIGHT, CONSUMER HAD VEHICLE TOWED. ALSO FRONT ROTORS AND FRONT PADS WERE REPLACED MECHANIC ADVISED CONSUMER THAT PADS FLAKED APART WHEN THEY WERE REOMVED.*JB
WHEN COMING TO A STOP AND THE VEHICLE GETS TO 25 MPH OR UNDER, IT LURCHES FOREWARD.PLEASE DESCRIBE. *AK
