The contact stated that while her son was driving at 40 MPH, when the vehicle in front stopped suddenly, the contact's vehicle rear-ended the vehicle. The contact's vehicle came to a stop from the impact. No warning lights were illuminated. The driver’s and passenger’s side air bags did not deploy. A police report was filed. The paramedics were not called. Both the contact's son and the passenger sustained injuries. The contact's son was taken to an emergency care center by the girlfriend. The doctor diagnosed that the contact's son had a bruise on the right side of the ribs. And the passenger had a bruise on the back, his leg, bruised ribs, and a seat belt burned by the neck. The vehicle was towed to Auto Mill LLC. The insurance company was contacted, and pending results. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 100,000.

I was in an accident and the truck is toatalled and the air bags did not deploy
My trailer brake service light is on and my trailer brakes don’t work . That’s about all I can think of and haven’t been able to figure out the fix.
I went to get the Takata recall done. I made an appointment at the dealer, and I showed up. After spending several hours of my day, the dealer told me the airbag was on back order and they even asked me if I actually want to get it done. The dealer informed me my dash would be broken after they finished the job. I told them the airbag is dangerous and it needed to get done. They told me they would order it and call me when it arrived and that has never happened. I called the NHTSA hot line and there was no service. The fact is this should have been recalled on November 15, 2015, but the NHTSA let GM postpone the recall endangering the public for over 7 years. The fact is the NHTSA covers for GM like they did with the ignition switch, the GMT800 Brake lines and a bunch of other situations. The NHTSA reports are also full of lies and misinformation. I don’t blame GM for not doing the recall because they never planned on it. I blame the NHTSA for covering for them and helping companies like GM in hiding defects. Now even if I get the recall done the vehicle will have one of the squibs disconnected because that is part of the GM recall instructions. They actually tell the technician to cut 1/2 of the airbag wires. The fact is this will make the air bag weaker.

To whom this may concern,my safe belt and air bags light come on,please HELP!!!!!!!
I have had to repair the driver’s side airbag ($700) and now the driver’s side airbag light is on for service. I have not had any accidents.
I contacted BANKS Chevrolet Service Manager by phone to make appointment for safety recall on March 4, 2022. Nothing has happened. He said he would call me when part came in for safety recall GM recall N212328800. No call as of May 15,2022, does it take this long to get Takata Part?

AIRBAGS ARE UNDER RECALL AND GM HAS YET TO REPLACE FAULTY AIRBAGS. RECALL ISSUED 2/5/2021 AND AS OF 9/16/2021 GENERAL MOTORS HAS NOT CORRECTED THE PROBLEM. PLEASE ADVISE.
There has been NO incident to report, yet I am forced to continue driving a vehicle with a recall which cannot be remedied. I have been made aware that this is an imminent danger to my safety should there be an activation of the airbag component. I purchased the vehicle used and was assured that the remedy was available. This is a risk to my safety and I cannot afford to let this vehicle sit idle while paying for another vehicle for daily use. Please advise. David J. Hetherington

THE VEHICLE WAS PARKED UNDER A TREE DURING THE DAY WHILE I WENT TO WORK. THE TREE BLOCKED THE SUNLIGHT BUT THE TRUCK WAS STILL QUITE HOT DUE TO THE BLACK INTERIOR AND HOT TEMPERATURES. AFTER WORK, I NOTICED THAT THERE WAS A CRACK IN THE DASH THAT WENT FROM THE AIRBAG TO THE MIDDLE SEAM. THIS, ALONG WITH ANOTHER CRACK THAT WAS NEW, MAKES THE DASH FLIMSY AND YOU CAN SEE IT VIBRATE WHEN DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD. I BELIEVE THAT IF THE AIRBAGS WERE TO GO OFF, PIECES OF PLASTIC FROM THE DASH WOULD BREAK OFF AND BECOME A SAFETY HAZARD, THE TRUCK IS IN EXCELLENT CONDITION AND HAS BEEN PROPERLY MAINTAINED. *TR

I AM THANKFUL I WAS ON A LOCAL STREET, I CAN ONLY IMAGING WHAT MIGHT HAVE HAPPENED IF I HAD BEEN ON THE INTERSTATE DOING 70. STARTED GETTING AN "SERVICE SRS SYSTEM" DIC NOTIFICATION AND SRS. I WAS ABLE TO NARROW DOWN THE CAUSE TO OPENING THE DRIVERS SIDE FRONT DOOR. USED A SCAN TOOL TO READ THE CODES AND IT WAS THROWING CODE B0085 SYMPTOM 00 WHICH IS A SIDE IMPACT SENSOR. REPLACED SIDE IMPACT SENSOR AND ISSUES PERSIST WITH THE SAME SYMPTOMS. I WAS DIRECTED BY A FEW MECHANICS THAT CHEVROLET HAD CHANGED THE GAUGE OF THE WIRES AND THEY HAVE SEEN MULTIPLE FAILURES WITHIN THE SHIELDING WHICH DOES NOT HAVE ANY SIGNS OF WEAR. USING AN OHM METER I TESTED OUT THE SENSOR WIRES AND SURE ENOUGH WHEN THE DOOR IS CLOSED THE WIRE HAS CONTACT HOWEVER IF IT MOVES AT ALL IT BREAKS CREATING AN OPEN LOOP. I HAVE LOOKED OVER EVERY INCH OF THE HARNESS AND THERE IS ZERO SIGNS OF WEAR ON THE PROTECTIVE COVER, TAPE, OR EVEN THE WIRE INSULATOR ITSELF.
