THERE ARE MULTIPLE COMPLAINTS ON THE NET ON MULTIPLE FORUMS FOR THIS SPECIFIC ISSUE FOR THESE SPECIFIC MODELS AND YEARS. MY TRUCK HAS ROUGHLY 44000 MILES ON IT. I FEEL AS IF I'M GETTING THE RUNAROUND AT THE DEALERSHIP. LIKE I STATED EARLIER THIS HAS HAPPENED MULTIPLE TIMES TO ME AND THERE ARE THOUSANDS OUT THERE IN THE SAME SITUATION AS ME. I ALSO HAVE THE TRAILER, BREAK SYSTEM MESSAGE FLASH RANDOMLY AT LOW SPEEDS WITHOUT A TRAILER OR PULLING ANYTHING THIS IS JUST ANNOYING THE OTHER PROBLEMS ARE MAJOR SAFETY ISSUES!!! I HAVE HAD THIS TRUCK IN THE DEALERSHIP SEVERAL TIMES HAD VERY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE AND WASN'T EVEN TOLD ABOUT THE RECALLS THAT WERE ON IT. HOWEVER, I DON'T SEEM TO SEE ANY RECALLS FOR THE PROBLEMS THAT I HAVE AND THAT THOUSANDS OF OTHER PEOPLE ARE DESCRIBING WITH THE ELECTRICAL ISSUE AND STABILTRACK AT LOW SPEEDS. 150 MILES AFTER REGULAR SERVICE OF ENGINE LIGHT/ABS/AND STABILTRAK LIGHTS BEING ON, AND AN OIL CHANGE, THE TRUCK STALLED (LUCKILY I WAS IN MY OWN DRIVEWAY). SHORTLY AFTER, THE ENGINE LIGHT, FOLLOWED BY ABS LIGHT CAME ON. SUDDENLY THE SPEEDOMETER GAUGE ACTED WILDLY, THERE WAS A VERY HARD SHIFT. I PUT IT ON CRUISE CONTROL JUST TO HELP THE ENGINE QUIT HARD SHIFTING....CC CANCELLED ITSELF OUT. EVERYTHING SETS BACK TO NORMAL FOR A MINUTE OR LESS AND IT ALL HAPPENS AGAIN, THIS TIME TAKING AWAY POWER STEERING AND A LOUDER "HARD SHIFT". IN THE MEAN TIME, EVERY WARNING I THINK THERE IS WOULD POP UP...."STABILTRAK OFF, STARRING ASSIST REDUCED...ETC". THIS JUST CONTINUES AND SEEMS TO GET MORE AGGRESSIVE, MORE FREQUENT...INCLUDING RESETTING TO NORMAL BRIEFLY EACH TIME. SCHUMACHER BUICK/GM/CHEVY SAID IT COULD BE TCM, OR ECM, OR ANOTHER I CAN'T RECALL. UNHAPPY WITH LACK OF KNOWLEDGE OF ISSUE, AND A "LET'S TRY THIS THEN THIS THEN THIS..", IT HAS PERPLEXED NOT ONE BUT TWO VERY ACCREDITED MECHANIC TEAMS. THE TRUCK HAS 130,000 MILES, AND WAS SERVICED AS IT SHOULD HAVE BEEN BY THE CHEVY DEALER SINCE IACQUIRED IT NEW. IT NEVER HAD ANY SIMILAR ISSUE UNTIL JUST AFTER ITS MOST RECENT MAINTENANCE. THANKFULLY THIS ALL OCCURRED WITHIN MILES OF MY HOME, AS THE ISSUE IS MOST DEFINITELY A THREAT TO ANY HOPES OF SAFETY. TOWING IT, IS THE ONLY WAY TO SAFELY MOVE THAT VEHICLE AFTER EXPERIENCING THE ISSUES.

I LOOKED IT UP ON SOCIAL MEDIA AND FOUND MANY OTHERS HAD THE SAME PROBLEM. SOME PEOPLE SAID NO RECALL ON SUCH A 'COMMON' AND UNSAFE PROBLEM, ANOTHER SAID THERE WAS A RECALL OPEN. I WAS TOLD BY GM HEADQUARTERS NO RECALL. TOLD BY SERVICE MGR AT THE DEALERSHIP, TOLD ME THERE IS A RECALL ISSUED. ONLY AFTER I BROUGHT IT TO THE DEALERSHIP, THEY TELL ME IT'LL COST ME $364. I ASKED ABOUT WHAT HE TOLD ME ONLY 3 DAYS EARLIER OF THE RECALL, HE THEN DENIED IT. WITH THE SEVERITY OF THE PROBLEM AND THE NUMBERS OF PERSONS WHO COMPLAINED, I WOULD THINK THIS SHOULD BE AT CHEVY'S EXPENSE. I WILL BE TAKING THE TRUCK ON VACATION THE END OF THE MONTH. IF SOMETHING SHOULD HAPPEN, I'VE INSTRUCTED OUR TWO CHILDREN TO SECURE A GOOD LAWYER AND OPEN A WRONGFUL DEATH/INJURY SUIT. SERVICE STABILITRAK AND STEERING ASSIST MESSAGES ARE DISPLAYED DURING THESE TIME HOWEVER DO NOT LEAVE A CHECK ENGINE LIGHT NO TO BE SCANNED. GM DEALER STATES THEY ARE NOT ABLE TO DUPLICATE THE ISSUE AND ARE NOT ABLE TO FIX IT. THIS IS A SAFETY CONCERN FOR ME AND OTHER DRIVERS ON THE ROAD.

WHEN I AM REVERSING MY STEERING WHEEL GETS VERY HARD AS I'M PRESSING ON THE PEDAL WHILE I'M PARKING IT DOESN'T DO IT ALL THE TIME BUT IT DOES DO IT FREQUENTLY.

CHECKED THE VIN FIRST TIME THROUGH NHTSA WEBSITE FOR VIN RECALL AND SHOWS 2 RECALLS. FIRST ONE FOR EBCM REPROGRAMMING AND SECOND ONE FOR EQUIPMENT VACUUM PUMP REPLACEMENT. BRING IT TO CHEVORLET OF FOLSOM, CA AND THEY DID REPROGRAMMING WITHOUT THE PART REPLACEMENT AND TOLD THAT TRUCK IS RUNNING FINE. BUT THE ISSUE STILL PERSISTS. NOW BRING IT TO THEM AND THEY SAID WE DONT DEAL WITH SALVAGE TITLES. AND JUST FOR MY SAKE CHECKED AGAIN FOR RECALL ON NHTSA WEBSITE AND IT SHOWS NONE OR MIGHT BE THEY REPORTED IT FIXED. BUT THE ISSUE IS STILL THERE.

AFTER THE RECALL THE TRUCK STARTED DOING IT MORE OFTEN THE SAME DAY BUT THE STEERING DID NOT LOCK UP BUT THE TRUCK SHUT OFF WHEN I TRIED MAKING A TURN ON A HIGHWAY. THE SERVICE STEERING ASSIST LIGHT CAME ON AGAIN. ON 9-7-17 I BROUGHT THE TRUCK BACK TO THE CHEVY DEALER ( CHEVY DEALER NOW CHANGED ITS NAME FROM OASIS TO QUALITY ) COMPLAINING THAT THE RECALL DID NOT WORK. THEY SAID THAT THE RECALL WAS NOT FOR THAT. BUT I BELIEVE IT IS THE SAME PROBLEM. THEY CHEVY DEALER DROVE THE TRUCK FOR 10 MILES AND IT HAPPENED TO THEM.THEY CHARGED ME FOR THE TIME TO TROUBLE SHOOT THE PROBLEM AND FOUND A LOOSE GROUND WIRE #G218 UNDER THE DASH CAUSING THE PROBLEM. THE ISSUE IS THAT THEY MADE ME PAY FOR SOMETHING THEY SHOULD HAVE FIXED THE FIRST TIME AND I BELIEVE THAT THIS SHOULD HAVE BEEN PART OF RECALL # 17276, BECAUSE I BELIEVE PART OF RECALL #17276 HAD TO DO WITH LOW VOLTAGE TO THE STEERING MODULAR. I PULLED INTO MY DRIVEWAY YESTERDAY AND LOST ALL POWER, MY DOOR LOCKS WENT UP AND DOWN LIKE THREE TIMES, AC SURGES, RADIO WENT ON AND OFF A FEW TIMES. I LOOKED UP THE PROBLEM ONLINE AND FOUND THAT THIS ISAME PROBLEM IS HAPPENING TO A LOT OF 2014 1500 SILVERADOS. THIS SHOULD DEFINITELY BE A RECALL ISSUE. TOTAL LOSS OF POWER WHILE DRIVING. SOMEONE IS GOING TO DIE FROM THIS ISSUE. TODAY WHEN I WAS DRIVING HOME I WAS GOING ABOUT 30 MPH IN TRAFFIC AND MY TRUCK LOST ALL POWER AGAIN, TOTAL BLACKOUT OF ALL ELECTRONICS, NO STEERING OR BRAKES, BUT THANKFULLY ALL SYSTEMS TURNED BACK ON IN A MATTER OF SECONDS AND I MADE IT HOME. AFTER LOOKING ONLINE, IT SEEMS THAT SOMEONE HAS LOCATED THE SOURCE. IT IS A FAULT AT THE "G218" GROUND POINT WHICH IS LOCATED UNDER THE FRONT LEFT DASH SPEAKER. IT ALSO WILL COME UP WITH OTHER ERRORS EITHER CONCERNING THE STEERING COLUMN OR THE POWER STEERING SYSTEM. AFTER NOTHING HAPPENED I PROCEEDED BACK TO THE PARKING AREA AND AGAIN AS I WAS PULLING INTO A PARKING SPACE THE TRUCK SEEMED TO BE LOSING POWER AND THE STEERING WHEEL WAS JERKING OUT OF MY HAD UNCONTROLLABLY TO THE POINT I COULD NO LONGER STEER THE TRUCK. THE SCREEN ON THE DASH SAID IT WAS CAUSED BY TRACTION CONTROL BUT THE GROUND WAS DRY AND PAVED. I AGAIN LET THE TRUCK SIT FOR A MINUTE AND WAS THEN ABLE TO PARK. AFTER SHOPPING I WAS ABLE TO DRIVE TO ANOTHER STOP AND THEN HOME WITHOUT ANY ISSUES. WHEN I WAS BACKING DOWN MY DRIVEWAY AN ERROR MESSAGE CAME UP ON THE SCREEN SAYING THE BACKUP SAFETY DEVICES WERE UNAVAILABLE AND THE LIGHT ON THE DASH STARTED DIMMING AGAIN. THE STEERING DID NOT ACT UP DURING BACKUP MODE. THE DEALER SAID THERE WAS A SERVICE BULLETIN OUT ABOUT THE ISSUE RELATED TO LOW VOLTAGE CODES WHICH THEY SAID MY TRUCK SHOWED. THEY SAID THE BATTERY TESTED FINE AND CHEVROLET WOULD NOT LET THEM REPLACE ANYTHING SINCE THEY COULD NOT REPRODUCE THE ISSUES. THEY DID SAY THEY WERE REPLACING THE NEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE THOUGH BUT WOULD NOT SAY WHY THEY WERE REPLACING IT.

AT THIS TIME THE WIFE FREAKED OUT & ASKED TO PARK, SCARED FOR HER SAFETY & MY OWN. PULLED FORWARD TO PARALLEL PARK, WENT TO PUT THE VEHICLE IN REVERSE. BEFORE REVERSE WAS INITIATED THE TRUCK THREW MULTIPLE WARNING LIGHTS (SERVICE STABLITRAK, ASSISTED STEERING, ETC). THE DASHBOARD LIT UP LIKE A CHRISTMAS TREE. THE STEERING WHEEL VIOLENTLY JERKED & LOCKED UP. THEN THE ENGINE CUT OFF. PUT THE TRUCK IN PARK, TURNED KEY & STARTED RIGHT BACK UP WITH NO WARNING LIGHTS, NO LOW VOLTAGE INDICATION AND NO PROBLEMS. GMC DEALERSHIP COULD NOT REPLICATE THE PROBLEM & RETURNED THE VEHICLE TO ME WITHIN 2 DAYS. THIS HAPPENED AGAIN ON 07/05/2016. THIS TIME IT WAS SENT TO CHEVROLET. THEY REPROGRAMMED THE STEERING WHEEL POSITION SENSOR & CHECKED THE SECURITY OF THE WIRE HARNESS. 07/11/2016 THE VEHICLE LOCKED UP & SHUT OFF AGAIN IN A STARBUCKS DRIVE THROUGH. THIS TIME LOCKING MYSELF & MY FAMILY IN THE TRUCK FOR 3 MINUTES. WHEN IGNITION WAS TURNED, TRUCK WOULD NOT START, NO LIGHTS WOULD COME ON EITHER. THE TRUCK ACTED DEAD. THIS TIME CHEVROLET REPLACED GAS PEDAL. 10/31/16 THE TRUCK SHUTOFF & LOCKED UP AGAIN. THIS TIME I TOOK VIDEO TO PROVE MY CASE IN HOPES IT WOULD HELP THE DEALERSHIP. NOW HERE WE ARE A MONTH LATER I'M DRIVING DOWN THE INTERSTATE AND TAKE MY EXIT FOR WORK. WHILE DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY YESTERDAY NIGHT. I NOTICED MY HEADLIGHTS KEPT GOING DIM THEN BRIGHT. WHILE IN CRUISE CONTROL GOING 75MPH I MOVED LEFT TO PASS A VEHICLE, WHEN I TURNED RIGHT SIGNAL ON TO COME BACK TO LANE MY CRUISE DISENGAGED. THIS HAPPEND 5 TIMES. BEFORE ONE OF THE OCCURRENCES WHILE IN CRUISE I TAPPED THE BRAKE TO SLOW DOWN, AND MY VOLT GAUGE DROPPED TO 10 OR SO AND THE HEADLIGHTS ALMLST SHUT OFF AND ALL LIGHTS IN CAB FLIKERED ON AND OFF. I WAS ABLE TO SHIFT THE TRUCK TO NEUTRAL TO START THE TRUCK AND CONTINUE TO THE NEXT EXIT. WHEN SLOWING DOWN THE TRUCK STARTED TO SPUTTER OUT ALMOST TO A STALL AND QUICKLY FLASHING A STABILITRAK MESSAGE AND THE DASH BLINKING OFF, UNTIL I RELEASED MY FOOT OFF THE BRAKE. I CALLED TO HAVE A FAMILY MEMBER COME PICK MY CHILD UP AS I HAD SERIOUS SAFETY CONCERNS OF MY CHILD BEING IN THE VEHICLE. I CONTINUED TO MY APPOINTMENT WHICH INVOLVED ACCESSING THE TURNPIKE THROUGH TOLL BOOTHS. WHILE SLOWING DOWN TO ENTER THE TOLL PLAZA THE TRUCK DID THE SAME THING RADIO BLINKED OFF, DASH DISPLAYS BLINKED OFF, SPUTTERING THE STEERING WHEEL AT THIS POINT RIPPED OUT OF MY HAND ALMOST CAUSING A COLLISION, STABILITRAK MESSAGE APPEARING. ONCE I GOT TO MY DESTINATION THE TRUCK SAT FOR APPROX 2 HOURS. MY RETURN TRIP WAS NORMAL AND DID NOT HAVE ANY ISSUES. THIS TRUCK IS A DEATH TRAP WITH THIS PROBLEM OCCURRING.

IN ALL CASES, TURNING OFF THE VEHICLE AND RESTARTING SEEMS TO RETURN TO NORMAL UNTIL IT HAPPENS AGAIN. 9/6/15: WHILE MAKING A TURN, RECEIVED A "STABILITRAK OFF" AND "POWER STEERING ASSIST REDUCES DRIVE WITH CARE" 9/8/15; RECEIVED THE ABOVE TWO MESSAGES PLUS "SERVICE 4WD" - 9/10/15 DEALER REPLACED THE TRANSFER CASE ACTUATOR PER TSB 9/14/15: RECEIVED STABILITRAK AND PWR STEERING MESSAGES WHEN ATTEMPTING TO PARK THE TRUCK -- DEALER STATED LOVE VOLTAGE CODES PRESENT, SO THEY CHARGED THE BATTER AND RETURNED THE TRUCK TO ME. 9/16/15: HAD THE STEERING WHEEL THRASHING WHEN BACKING INTO MY DRIVEWAY, BUT NO MESSAGES 9/24/15: WHILE ON THE HIGHWAY (LUCKY TRAFFIC WAS SLOW) RECEIVED THE STABILITRAK (TWICE) AND PWR STEERING MESSAGES, SO I EXITED TO TAKE SIDE STREETS HOME. WHEN MAKING A LEFT TURN RECEIVED THE STABILITRAK AND PWR STEERING MESSAGE, THE LOW POWER MODE AND THRASHING STEERING. THIS OCCURRENCE WAS IN TRAFFIC AND DANGEROUS. CURRENTLY AT DEALER, THEY STATE THEY ARE REPLACING BOTH POSITIVE AND NEGATIVE CABLES AND REROUTED A WIRE THAT MAY HAVE BEEN RUBBING THE FRAME. SINCE DAY ONE I NOTICED THAT THE VOICE COMMANDS WERE NOT ACKNOWLEDGING PROPER VOICE COMMANDS. I TOOK IT TO THE DEALER 2/20/14 THEY SAID IT WAS MY PHONE.IT TAKES ME A GOOD SOLID 3-5 MINUTES TO GET A PHONE CALL OUT BECAUSE OF THE VOICE RECOGNITION DOESN'T WORK . I WOULD ALSO NOTICE THAT ON PANDORA IT WOULD SAY ACQUIRING NET WORK SERVICE. THEN FROM THAT, ONTO IT SAYING NETWORK ERROR.THAT HAPPENS NO MATTER WHAT EVERY TIME I TRY TO USE IT I HAVE TO TURN BLUE TOOTH OFF AND TURN IT BACK ON AND THEN CONNECT IT ALL OVER AGAIN. SOMETIMES I CAN HEAR PEOPLE AND THEY CANT HERE ME. ON 4/08/14 AGAIN I TOOK IT IN THE DEALER FOR THE BLUETOOTH PROBLEM. MY FRONT HEADLAMPS GET MOISTURE IN THEM WHEN I WASH MY TRUCK ON. 3/13/14 THEY REPLACED MY LEFT HEADLAMP, STILL THE MOISTURE HAPPENS.WHEN TURNING ON THE TRUCK FROM PARK AND ENGAGING ON DRIVE A LOUD CLUNK AND A TOUGH MOVEMENT MAKES THE TRUCK FEEL LIKE ITS SWINGING FROM N TO S. AGAIN I TOOK IT TO THE DEALER 2/20/14 AND THEY SAID NOTHING WAS WRONG. JANUARY OF 2014 - APRIL 2014 THERE WERE 20 TIMES THAT MY TRUCK WENT INTO THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT 4 TIMES FOR RECALLS THATS 24 TIMES IN 4 MONTHS FOR A NEW TRUCK I GOT IN AN ACCIDENT ON 4/20/2014 AND 50 PARTS WERE PUT INTO THE TRUCK TO REPAIR IT. IT TOOK THE DEALER SELMAN 3 MONTHS BEFORE I HAD TO CALL AND ASK WHAT WAS GOING ON WITH MY TRUCK EVERYONE SEEMS TO BE CLUELESS. ON TOP OF ALL THAT I HAD TO DENIED THE TRUCK 8 TIMES BECAUSE OF WRONG PARTS THAT WERE PUT ON. THEY CHANGED MY WHOLE FRONT END . THE LIGHTS TURN ON WHEN THEY WANT, IT SOUND LIKE LOSE PARTS IN SIDE THE DASH.THE TRUCK SHAKES ON FREEWAY GOING 40-60MPH I HAVE THAT ON VIDEO. I FEEL UNSAFE DRIVING THE TRUCK. I FEEL THAT I AM BEING DISCRIMINATED AT SELMAN SINCE THEY TREAT ME DIFFERENT.
