First off the truck my father and I purchased was a brand new LT 1500 model with v6 engine and 4 wheel drive from Bill Defouw Chevrolet Lafayette, IN In 2020 I contacted the sheriff's department because the vehicle we had purchased had been stolen and switched out with another truck that had a non matching stamped vin on the frame underneath and nothing else matched with photos of proof did not match either. I gave the photos to the authorities to observe and they handed them back to me and laughed at me. The truck that was left with me that the thieves tried to make me believe was my truck was a salvage flood vehicle with the strong smell of mold and mildew and tires that didn't match and other areas on the truck that did not match our brand new truck we purchased that had never been altered except for adding a bed liner. I have tons of photos showing the unmatched stamped vin and photos throughout the years of ownership that I've been trying to get help with before someone gets hurt. When they wouldn't help me and continuously told me it was my truck in my possession even though I showed the proof I literally was brainwashed into believing what they were saying and I traded the truck in. When I finally realized that my gut instinct and proof was enough I contacted the dealership and took photos in where we purchased the truck to show them the differences and they agreed with me and told me to contact the police again. So I did and got the same results. Therefore there are two trucks out there possibly more that have been vin swapped and vehicle swapped from victims driveways, or work, or garage etc. I can submit my photos of proof immediately. They got my other vehicles too including my motorcycle I never got to ride because I noticed it a couple days after purchase. This crime is heavy and victims don't even know it's happened due to cloning.

Vehicle stabilitrak light comes on and engine dies. Headlights flicker and completely cut off at night. When starting vehicle the dash says to roll the driver window down and then up to continue. Tonight August 12th 2025, the air quit completely and headlights cut off. Engine dies while in gear. When I put truck in reverse engine will die. Sometimes turning the wheel will cause the engine to cut off or lights to go out. I have taken to the dealership multiple times for this issue and it has yet to be resolved. This has been going on for around 7-8 months. I bought the truck in December and it’s been in the shop 4 times now.

I remote started my vehicle about 5 minutes prior to getting in. After I got in and placed the key in the ignition, I started to smell smoke. I see in my rear view mirror the entire cab of my truck started to fill with smoke. When I turned my head around the interior of my rear window was on fire and my entire truck cab filled with smoke. I get out of the vehicle and immediately try and look for help as the fire was inside of my vehicle and the smoke smell was overwhelming. The fire then died out and the driver’s side pane on the rear window then shattered. I am now left with a shattered window and a vehicle that is left with unknown damage from a fire inside the pane. After going back and forth with a dealer that contacted Chevy for me, they determined there was no recall for the vehicle. Further research showed that this incident happened one other time in March of 2020 and was repaired once and the original recall was cleared. Chevy states that they have already repaired it once and are not liable to fix it a second time. This is a huge safety hazard and I am left questioning the integrity of my vehicle and the safety after what unknown damage has been done.

My radio changes channels on its own. It disconnects my Bluetooth connection for no reason. The display screen changes from one option to another randomly. This has been happening for over a year now. My research on the internet shows many customers had their radios replaced. Soon thereafter the issue starts all over again.

Used the remote start feature to warm up my truck (automatically turns on rear defrost). Upon entering the vehicle I could smell smoke. While driving I turned around and noticed smoke pouring from rear window. I turned off the rear defrost and the window exploded! I contacted the dealer and they claimed the recall had already been completed and they could not assist me.

While going through an S curve the dash lights went dark and engine quit while pulling a trailer. Had no power steering or brakes. Put it in neutral and was able to get engine started again before hitting a car coming from the other direction. On initial start up, there was a message "action required, open then close driver window". All dash settings for radio, information and media had to be reset. This is dangerous, vehicle shutting down randomly, as it could cause accident and injury or even death.

A 2015 Chevrolet Silverado seemed to be running rougher after an oil change. When inspected by dealership, Litha Chevrolet located 200 East Cypress Ave in Redding CA, they identified lower end knocking and lifter ticking noise. Also identified was PO300 was randomly missing and PO324 Knock Sensor performance. The dealership recommended total engine replacement, after reviewing the report. The 2015 Silverado is currently out of commission. It is not roadway safe. The Silverado has been serviced regularly as recommended and has not been in any collisions in the past. The truck has had one owner previously, my father, who left me the truck when he perished. I relied on the truck for daily and extended transportation for myself and my children. I have maintained excellent care of the 2015 Silverado with regular maintenance and services. There is no explanation of this issue other than it was caused by faulty equipment from the manufacturer. While driving on the highway, I came to stop in traffic. Power shut off in truck. I had AC on and radio on and everything turned off.Dashboard went blank as well. Power restored and service stabiltrack notification came on. This happened multiple times while on road. Got off as soon as possible and took to dealership. Dealership has yet to get back to us. I believe this is related to the two recalls that I had completed. At no point should I lose power in the vehicle and not be able to control the car. This could have been a tragedy if driving at full speed and for vehicle to shut down.

“Service trailer brake system” this message randomly appears with no trailer connected at all, i recently bought a brand new trailer and im scared to tow it since there is no current fix for this error message on the display, it comes on randomly and will not stop popping up and dinging it is a huge distraction as it repeatedly does it over and over, also when it does this you lose trailer brakes which is very unsafe especially in the mountains. This has been a known issue for years that is why i don’t understand why there is only a fix for the 22-23 models. Gm needs to address this issue as there are tons and tons of complaints, it is never safe to lose trailer brakes especially with all that weight you could burn up the truck brakes and cause an accident or if the trailer starts swaying you can not correct it with the breaks

Recently purchased a 2015 Chevy. The truck in is excellent condition , garage kept. problem is the horn. It stops working after it rains, or after we wash . We have almost had several wrecks due to the horn not working. The water runs down the seam of the hood and drips in the switch. That in return keeps the horn from working. I feel unsafe in the vehicle. At anytime people pull out in front of us or anything from around us. We have no way to warn nor get their attention. I own a 2015 Chevy Silverado LD. There was a recall that included (among other vehicles) the 2014 Silverado LD and the 2015 Silverado HD but not the 2015 LD. It is for the base radio audio output not working causing audible safety warnings to not work as well. I have this problem on my truck. I took the truck to a local dealership but they claimed to have no knowledge of this faulty condition.

My 2015 Silverado frame has rusted through badly. It's available for inspection. I currently have 74,000 miles on it. My GM dealer said the rust is so bad that I shouldn't pull anything and if I had an accident the frame would fold like an accordion. It is unsafe to drive. If the frame were to break when I'm driving, it could cause an accident with someone else. No one else has inspected it. I purchased it December 2014. I noticed a rust problem soon after. I took it to my GM dealer, and they said there is a bulletin No. P10564K, to fix it. I also attached the service invoice. The fix didn't last a year and I was back at the dealer. They did it again and for several years, until they couldn't because of lack of workers, due to covid. They said they would call when available, but never did. I took it in for service last month and that's when the dealer said I needed a new frame because it had rusted through, and it was rusted bad elsewhere. There is actually a hole rusted through. I've attached photos. The dealer said he has never seen it so bad in my year truck. I contacted GM and they said it was due to road salt and not covered. I've owned around eight GM trucks and cars, and I've never had a problem like this to a frame. There are many complaints about this online. One person said "The Chevy Silverado frame recall was issued due to the frame missing an anti-rust component in the metal that should have been included when the vehicle was made. The frames on them are known to rust excessively and can cause damage to the other components and make the frames weaker." I think GM should be forced to issue a recall on these frames. I can't afford to buy another truck and it's the only vehicle I have. Thank you.

I was about 1.5 miles from my house with the rear defrost on, when I heard a pop. I then noticed the driver side rear window was shattered. Not the middle or passenger side, just the driver side. I did a ton of research and noticed that 2014 through 2019 Canadian Chevrolet Silverado’s have been recalled but none in the US.

This is a 2015 Chevy Silverado, I continuously get a message reading "Service: Trailer Brake System". This error message would continuously chime every 5 seconds, no matter if I cleared the message with the check button on the steering wheel or left it on. This chime would override the radio, phone calls, turn signal chime and any other noises put out by the vehicle in addition to covering the digital speedometer readout. I have yet to take it to a dealership as today was the first repetitive issue lasting over 30 minutes. I first noticed this at random over the last 2 months, but these messages would stop after 2-5 minutes worth of chimes. I plan to take this to a dealer for inspection, but wanted to check for recalls/ report the issue before doing so.

Trailer brake system I have owned this Chevy Silverado 2015 since 2018 when I purchased it certified from a used car dealership in upstate New York. About one year into owning the vehicle I started to experience an alarm that was flash trailer brake system. This alarm would beep and flash in my center consul restricting me from sight distracting me from driving and is almost impossible to drive the car without distraction. I checked YouTube I called the manufacture I did so much to figure out what was going on and why this was happening considering I do not show any thing I did not understand why the trailer brake would cause such a problem considering I never told anything.After about three months of driving the car this trailer brake system alarm stopped. Now recently 2022 the trailer break system alarm is back and flashes nonstop and is relentless. I cannot listen to music I cannot hear my own self think the alarm is so loud and so distracting I would rather walk to the store then drive the truck I am forced to drive this truck because of the fact that I need to get to work but the safety hazards that are now limiting me and I am afraid this is going to cause a major accident or loss of life. I recently discovered that this is a manufacturers wire harness malfunction due to faulty wiring and a low-grade wire harness system. Before this gets any worse I need some sort of help. 2015 CHEVROLET SILVERADO. CONSUMER WRITES IN REGARD TO PARTS BEING UNAVAILABLE TO PERFORM SAFETY RECALL. THE CONSUMER STATED THE DEALERSHIP DID NOT HONOR THE APPOINTMENT TIME. THE CONSUMER WAS UNABLE TO LEAVE THE VEHICLE AT THE DEALERSHIP PAST THE APPOINMENT TIME THEREFORE,THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. Passenger side brake/tail light stay on constantly even when vehicle is shut off and key is out of ignition. Driver side brake/tail light works fine, customer had to disconnect harness to prevent battery from going dead. UNKNOWN issue. For this vehicle at speeds in excess of 60 MPH the truck begins to shake. The shaking increases in violence as speed increases. This issue can be replicated without fault by a dealership or other auto-shop whenever necessary. The issue has not been specifically looked at by a dealership. There are currently no warning lights or indications. Mileage when started is 10400 +/- 50 mi.

Upper right hand corner of display screen can be unresponsive or, more frequently, select items on its own. It will select different radio stations, rearrange apps, and call or put calls on hold. Steering wheel display changes to radio tab on its own. This puts my safety at risk because I have to fight with the radio to keep it on a single station and take my eyes off the road to constantly take phone calls off hold. Problem occurred in presence of dealer mechanic and I have videos of the problem. I have taken this to the dealer and they were unable to solve the problem. No warning lamps to indicate anything wrong or preceded the incident. The problem began in July 2021.

THE AIR CONDITIONING CONDENSER LEAKS AT ONE OF THE SIDE WELDS. THIS CAUSES LOSS OF AIR CONDITIONING BUT ALSO THE DEFROSTER FUNCTION SO THE INTERIOR WINDOWS FOG OVER AND IT IS DIFFICULT TO SEE. THIS IS A KNOWN ISSUE (GM CHANGED THE CONDENSER DESIGN IN LATER YEARS BUT DID NOT ISSUE A TSB). THE COST TO HAVE THIS CORRECTED IS ANYWHERE FROM $880-$1200 DOLLARS DEPENDING ON THE DEALER. IT IS ALSO SUCH A WIDESPREAD PROBLEM THAT THE REPLACEMENT OEM CONDENSER IS ON BACKORDER FOR SEVERAL MONTHS.

LAST FALL OCT 2019 IT WAS NOT BLOWING COLD AIR, IN FEBRUARY 15 2920 WHILE DRIVING THE AIR SEEMED TO GET WARMER, COULD NOT KEEP THE CAB COOL. AFTER REVIEWING RECALL INFORMATION AND OTHER REVIEWS OF ISSUES I SEE THAT THE $1,100 OR MORE FOR REPLACEMENT OF CERTAIN EQUIPMENT, PLUS THE LONG DELAY BECAUSE GM/CHEVROLET HAS A SHORTAGE OF THE SPECIFIC PARTS (BACK ORDERED). MY CONDENSER FAILED ON THE DRIVERS SIDE FIRST 3 TUBES BELOW THE TRANSMISSION OIL COOLER AS DID MY FRIENDS 2016 SIERRA AND ANOTHER FRIEND'S 2016 TEXAS EDITION SIERRA. SAME FAILURE SAME LOCATION AND BETWEEN 60 & 75K. REPAIRED MINE MYSELF & MY WARRANTY PAID ME BACK FOR NEW CONDENSER ($219) BUT NOT THE FREON OR MY LABOR. THERE'S MOST DEFINITELY AN ISSUE ON THIS PART AND SAW NO VISIBLE DIFFERENCE IN THE OLD/ NEW PIECE OTHER THAN A 6'X 6' SQUARE OF ALUMINUM TYPE FLEX PAD IN THE UPPER LEFT CORNER ON DRIVER'S SIDE. I AM REQUESTING ASSISTANCE WITH THE COST OF THE REPAIR. DUE TO MY ALLERGIES AND THIS TIME OF THE YEAR DRIVING WITH THE WINDOWS DOWN AND NO AC IS AFFECTING MY PHYSICALLY. SEVERAL MOMENTS LATER I HEARD A HISSING SOUND COMING FROM THE REAR INTERIOR OF THE PICKUP CAB AND THEN LOOKED INTO THE REAR VIEW MIRROR, AT WHICH TIME I SAW SMOKE EMITTING FORM THE LOWER CORNER OF THE PASSENGER SIDE FIXED WINDOW PANE (THIS IS 3 PIECE REAR WINDOW WHERE THE MIDDLE PAN OPENS VIA ELECTRICAL SWITCH). THE HISSING CONTINUED WITH THE SMOKE THAT WAS COMING FROM THE LOWER CORNER OF THE WINDOW NEAREST TO THE CENTRAL WINDOW PANEL. I IMMEDIATELY RECOGNIZED THE ODOR OF AN ELECTRICAL FIRE (BURNING INSULATION) AND THEN TURNED OFF THE REAR WINDOW DEFROSTER SWITCH. THE HISSING SOUND AND SMOKE CEASED. A FEW SECONDS LATER 8 HEARD A LOUD 'POP' SOUND COME FROM THE BACK WINDOW AND OBSERVED THAT THE ENTIRE REAR PASSENGER SIDE WINDOW HAD SHATTERED, IN PLACE WITH THE FRACTURE LINE EMANATING OUTWARD FROM HE AREA WHERE THE SMOKE WAS FIRST OBSERVED.

THEN SHE FINDS THAT THE STEERING WHEEL IS ALSO LOCKED AND CAN NOT BE TURNED. IT'S TAKING HER MAXIMUM EFFORT TO STOP THE TRUCK FROM ROLLING FORWARD AND TO VEER OFF THE ROAD TO AVOID OTHER VEHICLES. SHE IS FINALLY ABLE TO STOP THE VEHICLE AFTER ABOUT 100 YARDS OF EFFORT AND WAITS ABOUT 10 MINUTES, BEFORE THE BRAKES AND STEERING WHEEL WOULD FREE UP. NO ERROR MESSAGE WAS PRESENT THE ENTIRE TIME THESE FUNCTIONS WERE DISABLED AND AFTER THEY FREED UP, IT WAS LIKE IF NOTHING EVER HAPPENED. NO CHECK ENGINE LIGHT HAS EVER BEEN ON THIS VEHICLE. STRONG BELIEF THIS IS A MANUFACTURING DEFECT AND SHOULD HAVE A RECALL.

I IMMEDIATELY TOOK THE TRUCK IN TO THE DEALER TO HAVE IT DIAGNOSED AND FOUND OUT THAT MY CONDENSER HAD A LEAK. I THOUGHT THAT THIS WAS ODD DUE TO THE FACT THAT I BARELY DRIVE THE TRUCK, LITERALLY. IT ONLY HAS ABOUT 28,600MILES ON IT IN ABOUT 40 MONTHS. WITH THAT SAID, I PROCEEDED TO DO A LITTLE RESEARCH. MY FINDINGS WERE THAT THIS HAS BEEN AN ALL TO COMMON ISSUE WITH THESE TRUCKS SINCE THE 2014 DESIGN. IS THERE ANYWAY TO GET SOMEONE WITHIN GM TO TAKE A CLOSER LOOK AT WHAT IS OBVIOUSLY SOME TYPE OF FLAW OR DEFECT IN EQUIPMENT DUE TO POOR CRAFTSMANSHIP? YOU MAY SAY THAT I SHOULD'VE PURCHASED AN EXTENDED WARRANTY AND ALL BUT I FEEL LIKE A COMPONENT SUCH AS A CONDENSER SHOULDN'T BE DEFECTIVE SO SOON EITHER, ESPECIALLY ON A LOW MILEAGE VEHICLE THAT'S BARELY OUT OF WARRANTY. TRUCK SHAKES SEVERELY WHEN DRIVING AT SPEEDS ABOVE 70 MPH ON MANY DIFFERENT ROAD TYPES. THIS PROBLEM STARTED NOT TOO LONG AFTER I GOT MY TRUCK NEW. AFTER COMPLAINING ABOUT IT THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT SAID THIS IS "STANDARD 22 INCH WHEEL VIBRATION." AFTER I HAD ABOUT 35000 MILES ON IT THE VIBRATION GOT SO BAD I COULDN'T STAND TO DRIVE ON THE FREEWAY. TOOK IT BACK TO THE DEALER AND THEY SAID THE TIRES WERE WORE OUT EVEN THOUGH THERE WAS STILL PLENTY OF TREAD. HAD ANOTHER SHOP LOOK AT IT AND THEY FOUND ONE OF THE WHEELS WAS EVER SO SLIGHTLY BENT. TOOK IT BACK TO THE DEALER TO CONFIRM. THEY SOLD ME A NEW WHEEL, THE PROBLEM DIDN'T GO AWAY OR CHANGE IN ANY WAY. I BOUGHT NEW TIRES AS THEY RECOMMENDED, PROBLEM WAS STILL THERE BUT NOT SO SEVERE UNTIL AFTER DRIVING A FEW THOUSAND MILES. THE MORE MILES I PUT ON THE TIRES THE WORSE THE VIBRATION GETS. TOOK IT BACK INTO THE DEALER AGAIN RECENTLY, THEY KEEP TELLING ME IT'S STANDARD VIBRATION FOR 22 INCH WHEELS. I KNOW THIS IS BOGUS BECAUSE I KNOW A FEW PEOPLE WITH THE EXACT SAME WHEELS AND TIRES THAT DON'T HAVE THE SHAKING PROBLEM, THEY CAN DRIVE AS FAST AS THEY WANT AND IT'S SMOOTH. THE PART CRACKS, BREAKS, DISINTEGRATES, SIMPLY BY OPENING OR CLOSING THE TRUCK TAILGATE OVER A SHORT PERIOD OF TIME. THE BUSING WAS DESIGNED TO ASSIST THE TAILGATE BY REDUCING THE WEIGHT OR MUSCLE NEEDED TO REST THE TAILGATE WITHOUT SLAMMING. WHEN THE BUSING CRACKS OR BREAKS THEN THE TAILGATE SLAMS DOWN. THIS IS A SAFETY ISSUE SINCE THE OWNER BECOMES ACCUSTOMED TO THE TAILGATE LOWERING WITH EASE, AND UPON THE FIRST TIME OPENING TAILGATE AFTER THE BUSHING HAS BEEN COMPROMISED, IT SLAMS DOWN, RISKING INJURY TO YOUR ARMS, POSSIBLY YOUR BACK OR ANYONE LIKE CHILDREN, A CHILD'S HEAD UNDERNEATH OR BELOW THE OWNERS WAIST. I JOIN A LONG LIST OF CHEVROLET TRUCK OWNERS EXPERIENCING AC FAILURE FAR TOO SOON IN THE VEHICLE'S LIFE. MY 2015 SILVERADO 1500 4X4 Z71 WITH 42,000 MILES HAD THE AC COMPLETELY STOP WORKING OVER THE WEEKEND UNDER NORMAL DRIVING CONDITIONS. THE TEMPERATURE WAS 82F. UPON INSPECTION AT THE DEALERSHIP, IT WAS DETERMINED THAT THE CONDENSER HAD A LEAK ON THE TOP RIGHT SIDE AND THAT IT WOULD NEED TO BE REPLACED. WHEN I ASKED ABOUT THE WARRANTY CLAIM, THE SERVICE MANAGER EXPLAINED THAT HE HAS SUBMITTED THE CLAIM AND THAT HE, " ... HAD VERY LITTLE DOUBT THAT IT WOULD BE APPROVED." " WE SEE THIS A LOT," HE EXPLAINED. THIS IS A WIDELY KNOWN ISSUE AND SEVERAL OWNERS ARE PAYING OUT OF POCKET FOR FAULTY EQUIPMENT THAT SHOULD HAVE NEVER BEEN INSTALLED ON SUCH AN EXPENSIVE VEHICLE. GM'S "MOST DEPENDABLE TRUCK" SLOGAN IS WORTHY OF DEBATE.

AFTER OWNING MY TRUCK FOR JUST OVER 2 YEARS AND 30K MILES, THE AC STOPPED BLOWING COLD AIR. WHEN PURCHASED NEW AND FOR THE NEXT COUPLE OF YEARS DRIVING IT, THE AC WORKED PERFECTLY, THIS HAPPENED FROM ONE DAY TO THE NEXT. AFTER SEARCHING ONLINE FOR A RESOLUTION, I CAME ACROSS MULTIPLE OTHER CHEVROLET OWNERS WITH THE SAME ISSUE. THE CULPRIT CAME TO BE KNOWN AS THE AC CONDENSER. IT IS KNOWN THAT THE CONDENSERS USED BY GM FOR THIS MODEL TRUCK HAVE WEAK WELDS AND THIS IS WHERE THE CONDENSER FAILS PRODUCING A SMALL LEAK. AS IT TURNS OUT, GM IS AWARE OF THE ISSUE WITH THE AC CONDENSERS ON THESE VEHICLES AND REFUSES TO COVER THEM UNDER WARRANTY AND WANTS TO CHARGE UPWARDS OF $1K DOLLARS TO REPLACE. I AM COMPLETELY UNSATISFIED WITH THIS CONSIDERING MY TRUCK IS ONLY 2 YEARS OLD WITH UNDER 35K MILES ON IT. THIS IS TOO NEW OF A VEHICLE FOR THE AC TO BE HAVING PROBLEMS THAT ARE NOT COVERED UNDER WARRANTY.

TRIED AGAIN THE FOLLOWING DAY, SAME THING. ONLY BEING 2 YEARS OLD, I FOUND IT INCREDIBLY ODD THAT THE FREON WOULD BE GONE ALREADY. UPON DOING MY RESEARCH ABOUT THE PROBLEM, I DISCOVERED THAT THIS IS A TREMENDOUSLY EGREGIOUS KNOWN ISSUE WITH GMC/CHEVY OWNERS AND A RECALL REGARDING THE PROBLEM HAS STILL NOT BEEN ISSUED TO CORRECT IT. GIVEN THE FACT MY VEHICLE HAS JUST FALLEN OUT WARRANTY AS WELL, IT'S INCREDIBLY INFURIATING THAT I'M NOW FORCED TO HAVE THESE REPAIRS COME OUT OF POCKET AND WAIT NEARLY A MONTH FOR THE PARTS TO COME IN. THE CURRENT "FEEL LIKE" TEMPERATURE IN FLORIDA IS 106 DEGREES FAHRENHEIT OUTSIDE. THAT WOULD BE A LONG TIME TO GO WITHOUT A/C WITHOUT A LOANER FROM THE DEALER, WHICH THE DEALER DID OFFER.

MY TIRES ARE STILL GOOD, BUT I WILL REPLACE BEFORE 60K MILES INTERNET SEARCHING REVEALED MUCH INFORMATION REGARDING "CHEVY SHAKE" ISSUE WITH GM FULL SIZE TRUCKS AND SUV'S. I BELIEVE MINE IS AFFECTED BY THE 'CHEVY SHAKE' MYSTERY PROBLEM. WILL BE TAKING TO DEALER FOR REGULAR SERVICE 7/21/17 AND ADVISING THEM OF THIS ISSUE. I BOUGHT WARRANTIES THAT SUPPOSEDLY COVER ALL OF THE TRUCK, EVEN THE STUFF DEALER HAD THE SPECIALTY SHOP PUT ON IT.

WHILE USING A SPARE KEY TO MY 2015 SILVERADO FOR THE ENTIRE DAY, AND DRIVING OVER 70 MILES, THE "ANTI-THEFT" WARNING LIGHT SUDDENLY CAME ON. I CONTINUED TO DRIVE APPROX. 10 MILES WITH THE LIGHT ON AND WHILE TURNING OFF A BUSY ROAD, ACROSS ON-COMING TRAFFIC, THE TRUCK COMPLETELY SHUT OFF. NO STEERING, NO FORWARD MOVEMENT, NOTHING. IT VIRTUALLY WENT DEAD! I WAS ABLE TO PUT THE TRUCK IN PARK AND TRY TO START IT AGAIN (THANK GOODNESS NO TRAFFIC COMING THROUGH AT THE TIME). AFTER SEVERAL ATTEMPTS IT STARTED AGAIN AND I BEGAN TO DRIVE AROUND THE CORNER TO MY HOME, WHERE IT COMPLETELY SHUT OFF AGAIN, IN FRONT OF MY DRIVEWAY. HAD IT TOWED, AS I WAS NERVOUS ABOUT DRIVING IT AGAIN. THE CHEVY DEALERSHIP SERVICE DEPARTMENT WAS UNABLE TO CONCLUDE WHAT HAPPENED. THEY TESTED IT WITH THE SPARE KEY, AND STILL NO SIGN OF ANY TROUBLE. I AM RELUCTANT TO DRIVE THIS TRUCK.

THE 2015 CHEVROLET SILVERADO K1500 HIGH COUNTRY VIBRATES AND MAKES A LOUD HUMMING NOISE AT VARIOUS SPEEDS BEGINNING AT 20 MPH UP TO APPROXIMATELY 60 MPH. THE VIBRATION CAN BE FELT THROUGH THE SEAT AND STEERING WHEEL. THE FREQUENCY AND SOUND LEVEL IS NOT DEPENDENT ON SPEED, LOAD OR ROAD CONDITIONS. IT'S ALWAYS THERE. I'M TAKING IT BACK TO THE CHEVROLET DEALER AGAIN TOMORROW FOR ANOTHER ROUND OF ATTEMPTED REPAIRS. AT FIRST THE DEALER SAID THE VIBRATION AND NOISE WAS NORMAL. AFTER SHOWING THEM A COPY OF THE GM SERVICE BULLETIN ' PI1354C, THEY NOW ADMIT TO A POTENTIAL ISSUE. STILL NOT SOLUTION.

AIR CONDITIONER STARTED BLOWING HOT AIR. TOOK TO DEALER THEY FOUND A WELD BROKEN LOOSE ON THE TOP LEFT CORNER OF THE CONDENSER CAUSING A LEAK. CURRENTLY GM CONDENSERS ARE ON BACK ORDER. DUE TO THE OVERWHELMING PROBLEM NATIONWIDE. THEY CHARGE ME TO REFILL THE SYSTEM WITH FREON (OR EQUIVALENT), 24 HOURS LATER IT HAS LEAKED OUT AND IS BLOWING HOT AIR AGAIN. DEALER GUESSED 3 TO 6 WEEKS BEFORE THEY WOULD GET THE REPLACEMENT PART IN. TRUCK HAS 68,000 MILES WITH COST GOING TO BE $1300.00. WE ALSO HAVE A 2015 CHEVROLET SUBURBAN WITH 74,000 MILES ON IT THAT HAD THE EXACT SAME PROBLEM. COST $1300.00 TO FIX.

TRUCK SHAKES WHILE TRAVELING ON THE HIGHWAY. IT ISN'T NOTICEABLE ON SIDE STREETS IN THE CITY BUT WHEN TRAVELING ON A MAJOR HIGHWAY THE ENTIRE TRUCK SHAKES SOMETIMES AT LOWER SPEEDS BUT ALWAYS ABOVE 70-75 MILES PER HOUR. IT SHAKES SO VIOLENTLY THAT A DRINK IN THE CONSOLE WILL SHAKE OUT OF IT'S CONTAINER. I'VE HAD IT IN THE SHOP 4 TIMES BUT THE CHEVROLET SERVICE CENTER CANNOT FIX IT. THEY HAVE BALANCED AND REPLACED TIRES BUT CANNOT FIX IT. I FEEL IT IS UNSAFE OR COULD LEAD TO DAMAGE RENDERING IT UNSAFE.

MY TRUCK HAD APPROXIMATELY 10 MILES WHEN I PURCHASED IT IN DEC 2014 AND HAS BEEN IN THE SHOP PRETTY MUCH EVER SINCE. IMMEDIATELY AFTER PURCHASING THE VEHICLE, I FELT A VERY SUBSTANTIAL VIBRATION AROUND 76+ MPH. INITIALLY, 2 TIRES WERE REPLACED AND BALANCED; THAT DID NOT CORRECT THE PROBLEM. THEN THE DEALERSHIP INDICATED THAT GM SAID I HAVE TO PUT 500LBS IN THE BACK OF THE TRUCK AND THE VIBRATION WILL STOP; THIS IS NOT EVEN REMOTELY PRACTICAL. SUBSEQUENTLY, THE TIRES HAVE BEEN ROTATED AND FORCE BALANCED SEVERAL TIMES THROUGHOUT THE PAST 2 YRS. IN JUNE 2016, THE DEALERSHIP STATED THE PROBLEM WAS THAT THE TIRES WERE MOUNTED ON THE RIMS INCORRECTLY AND REPLACED ALL FOUR TIRES AND BALANCED THEM; THE VIBRATION CONTINUED. AFTER TRYING TO SCHEDULE ANOTHER APPOINTMENT WITH THE DEALERSHIP OVER THE SAME ISSUE, THEY WILL NO LONGER CALL ME BACK. I HAVE ATTEMPTED TO SCHEDULE AN APPOINTMENT AT LEAST 8 TIMES WITHIN THE PAST MONTH TO NO AVAIL. SEVERAL PEOPLE HAVE INDICATED THE PROBLEM IS QUITE POSSIBLY THE DRIVE SHAFT B/C THE ENTIRE TRUCK VIBRATES WHILE DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD. THEREFORE, I TOOK MY VEHICLE TO ANOTHER DEALERSHIP WHERE THEY TOLD ME I NEED TO ROTATE AND BALANCE THE TIRES. AFTER DISCUSSING THE HISTORY OF THE TRUCK WITH THEM AND REQUESTED THE SERVICE DEPT. CHECK THE DRIVE SHAFT, THEY STATED THE SERVICE MANAGER SAID IT IS NOT THE DRIVE SHAFT (WHICH WAS NOT INSPECTED TO MY KNOWLEDGE) AND TOLD ME THE TIRES NEED TO BE FORCED BALANCED AND THEY COULD NOT HELP ME. THIS DEALERSHIP REFERRED ME TO ANOTHER DEALERSHIP FOR ASSISTANCE. I HAVE BEEN FIGHTING THIS ISSUE FOR ALMOST 2 YEARS NOW AND CANNOT GET HELP. FURTHER, NEITHER OF THE DEALERSHIPS HAVE MADE ME AWARE OF THE BULLETIN AND HAVE NOT TRIED ANYTHING PAST THE REPLACING & BALANCING THE TIRES. THE VIBRATION IS SO BAD OTHER THINGS IN MY TRUCK ARE STARTING TO COME LOOSE AND VIBRATE.

PURCHASED NEW 2015 CHEVROLET SILVERADO 1500 IN JANUARY OF 2016. EXPERIENCED A VIBRATION AT ALL SPEEDS FROM THE VERY BEGINNING OF PURCHASE. VIBRATION GETS WORSE AT HIGHER SPEEDS. VEHICLE CAME WITH STEEL WHEELS FROM THE FACTORY. VIBRATION CAN BE FELT IN THE SEAT AND SEEN IN THE CENTER CONSOLE. VIBRATION IS COMING FROM REAR OF VEHICLE. REPLACED WHEELS AND TIRES WITH AFTERMARKETS. THE AFTERMARKETS WERE BIGGER AND HEAVIER AND MADE VIBRATION EXTREMELY WORSE. AFTER ASSURING THAT I WASN'T DEALING WITH A PROBLEM WITH THE NEW WHEELS AND TIRES, I PUT THE FACTORIES BACK ON AND TOOK THE VEHICLE TO DEALERSHIP AND REPORTED THE PROBLEM. THE VEHICLE WAS IN THE SHOP FOR 3 1/2 MONTHS. THE VEHICLE FAILED PICO SCOPE TESTS. THEY PUT SEVERAL NEW TIRES ON THE VEHICLE, CHANGED BOTH REAR AXLES, AND CHANGED RING AND PINION IN REAR END. THESE STEPS HELPED REDUCE THE VIBRATION, BUT DID NOT TOTALLY RESOLVE THE ISSUE. THEY THEN DECIDED TO PUT ALUMINUM WHEELS ON THE TRUCK, WHICH HELPED REDUCE THE VIBRATION DOWN TO BARELY NOTICEABLE. MY CONCERN IS BY PUTTING THE LIGHTER WHEEL ON THE VEHICLE TO REDUCE THE VIBRATION, THEY ARE ONLY MASKING THE PROBLEM, SINCE THE HEAVIER THE WHEEL/TIRE ASSEMBLY, THE WORSE THE VIBRATION. THEY ARE TELLING ME THEY DO NOT HAVE TO DO ANYTHING ELSE TO THE VEHICLE. GENERAL MOTORS HAS TOLD ME THEY ARE NOT GOING TO PURSUE THE ISSUE ANY FURTHER. THEY TELL ME THEY KNOW THERE IS AN ISSUE BUT NOT SURE WHAT IT IS AND SINCE IT IS NOT A SAFETY ISSUE THEY HAVE HONORED THE WARRANTY. HOW DO THEY KNOW THAT IT'S NOT A SAFETY ISSUE IF THEY DON'T KNOW WHAT THE PROBLEM IS. I BELIEVE THEY KNOW EXACTLY WHAT THE PROBLEM IS AND THEY ARE PASSING IT ON TO THE CONSUMER. THERE WAS NO DISCLOSURE OF THE ISSUES WITH THESE TRUCKS UPON PURCHASE. I DO NOT FEEL SAFE IN THIS TRUCK AND FEAR FUTURE PROBLEMS WITH THE ISSUE. ALSO, THE TRUCK ON SEVERAL OCCASIONS HAS DOWN SHIFTED ABNORMALLY CAUSING RPMS TO RISE.

VEHICLE WAS IN FOUR WHEN DRIVE LOW STOPPED AND GOT OUT TO OPEN A GATE HEARD A LOU POP LOOKED BACK IT WAS ROLLING BACKWARDS WENT ABOUT 200 FEET WITH A TRAILER HOOKED TO IT THE TRAILER FLIPPED AROUND HIT THE SIDE OF THE TRUCK MADE ANOTHER LOUD SOUND AND IT STOPPED. WE ARE BEING TOLD NOTHING IS WRONG WITH IT. ANOTHER TIME HAD IT IN LOW FOUR WHEN DRIVE AND IT KEPT ROLLING IN PARK. THE VEHICLE WAS PARKED. AND WHEN WE GOT TO IT THE GEAR SHIFT WAS STILL IN PARK.

I AM CONCERNED ABOUT THE EXCESSIVE SHAKING/VIBRATION IN THIS 2015 CHEVY SILVERADO AND, THUS FAR, GM CUSTOMER SERVICE AND THE DEALERSHIP HAVE NO RESOLUTION IN SIGHT. THE PROBLEM HAS BEEN OCCURING AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS (MOST NOTABLE ABOVE 73 MPH) SINCE THE TRUCK WAS PURCHASED AUG 2015. AS THEY CAN'T IDENTIFY THE CAUSE OF THE PROBLEM, I CAN'T BE SURE THE ORIGIN IS OR IS NOT A SAFETY-REATED CONCERN. THE DEALERSHIP HAS BALANCED, RE-BALANCED, ROTATED, AND ROAD PRESSURE TESTED TIRES TO NO AVAIL. EVEN TRIED A NEW SET OF TIRES OFF OF A 2016 MODEL TO NO AVAIL. AS THIS MATTER CONTINUES AND DOESN'T APPEAR TO BE TIRE-RELATED, I'M WORRIED THAT THE ISSUE MAY BE IN THE SUSPENSION AND WILL, AT SOME POINT, CAUSE OR CREATE A CATASTROPHIC FAILURE.

TWO DIFFERENT DEALERS FELT ROADFORCE BALANCING THE TIRES WOULD HELP; IT HAS NOT. THE TRUCK ALSO MAKES A CHIRPING NOISE WHEN TRANSITIONING FROM 4 CYLINDERS BACK TO 8 CYLINDERS.

KIDS LOCKED IN MY TRUCK, IN MY DRIVEWAY AFTER REMOTE START. (REPRODUCIBLE) MY KIDS GOT LOCKED IN MY CAR A FEW WEEKS AGO WHERE THE UNLOCK BUTTON WASN'T WORKING, I THOUGHT IT WAS A FLUKE UNTIL IT HAPPENED TO ME AGAIN. I WAS GETTING READY TO TAKE MY 15 YEAR OLD SON TO SCHOOL. I UNLOCKED THE CAR SO HE COULD PUT HIS STUFF IN, AND SHORTLY AFTER I REMOTE STARTED THE CAR. MY OLDER SON WAS IN THE CAR AT THE TIME I REMOTE STARTED THE CAR, WHILE I CONTINUED TO GET MY YOUNGER 4 YEAR OLD READY IN THE HOUSE. WHEN I CAME BACK TO THE CAR WITH MY SON, MY HANDS WERE FULL AND I ASKED MY SON TO UNLOCK THE CAR. HE PRESSED THE UNLOCK BUTTON AND NOTHING HAPPENED, AND THE DOOR REMAINED LOCKED WITH HIM INSIDE. COMBO 4 PIN AND 7 PIN TRAILER CONNECTION IS UPSIDE DOWN. THIS MAY RESULT IN THE LOSS OF TRAILER LIGHTS AND BRAKES. WITH CONNECTION UPSIDE DOWN THE 7 PIN DOOR WILL NOT HOLD PLUG IN TIGHTLY AND CAUSE THE BRAKE AND GROUND PINS TO POSSIBLE DISCONNECT. LOOSING BRAKES WHILE PULLING A HEAVING LOAD IS A SERIOUS SAFETY ISSUE. PLUG NEEDS TO BE INVERTED TO ENSURE THE DOOR LATCH HOLDS THE PLUG AT THE HIGH POINT AND WEIGHT OF THE CORD HOLDS THE PLUG IN TIGHTLY DEALER IS AWARE OF THE ISSUE AND GM ENGINEER IS AWARE OF THE ISSUE..
