Upon reversing the vehicle and apply the brake, as if in a parking lot or driveway, if pushing the brake pedal more than twice the pedal becomes hard and the vehicle becomes hard to stop without and excessive amount of force being applied to the brake pedal. If depressing the brake pedal more than 3 times, it is almost impossible to stop the vehicle with it coasting several feet. Checked for a recall, there is no recall, but there is a service bulletin that pertains to this issue concerning the brake assist vacuum pump booster, N182202780-01 and N192268490, for the 2014-2018 Chevy Silverado. An update to the electronic brake control module was completed on 2019-09-23, but such calibration seems to not be enough to resolve the issue.

I experienced issues with braking including shuddering brakes. I took the vehicle to a repair shop who looked into any active recalls and there were none, I had the electronic brake control module recall completed in 2019. The shop replaced the front brakes and resurfaced the back which did not fix the issue. They then replaced the vacuum pump which did fix the issue I was responsible for all costs. I recently noticed my vehicle is covered under special coverage N182202780 through 2027 which covers the cost of the vacuum pump replacement. Chevy is refusing to reimburse for the costs because the work was not done at their dealership despite not having a recall that States that. I would like the issue addressed theough a formal recall and reimbursement of repair costs as Chevy is obviously aware there is a safety issue related to braking due to failing components.

I have lost my brakes when reversing, however I have good brakes when driving forward. The transmission is also slipping and the torque converter in the transmission is becoming very worn ALREADY. I do not tow anything with this vehicle, and I only have 73,411 miles on this truck.

The contact owns a 2017 Chevrolet Silverado 1500. The contact stated that the vehicle was pulling to the right and the sensor light was illuminated while purchasing the vehicle. The contact stated that the failures were temporary. The contact stated that while driving at undisclosed speeds and depressing the brake pedal, the vehicle pulled to the right and the rear end of the vehicle felt as though the rear was dragging. The contact stated that there was a metal dragging sound coming from underneath the vehicle. The contact pulled over and inspected the vehicle but found no visible failures. The contact stated that the TPMS warning light was illuminated. The contact stated that smoke was coming from the passenger’s side front wheel. The vehicle was taken to a certified mechanic who diagnosed that the brake caliper had seized, and the brake line had collapsed. The contact was informed that the caliper and three sensors on the wheels needed to be replaced. Additionally, there was also a leak in the oil line. The vehicle was not repaired. The dealer was contacted and confirmed that the repair was not covered under warranty. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was unknown. The VIN was not available.

We were on vacation driving to Florida by the time we arrived 1500 miles later I had no brakes. This happened on a Friday. We called our mechanic in Oklahoma to explain it to him. He had us check a few things to see if it was a number of thing. He said it was the brakes vacuum pump. He had one in the shop for the same thing. You can't get in to a Chevrolet dealer to have it fixed in the time that we had. My husband did fix it but was extremely scared to drive in South Florida with limited to no brakes. My truck only had under 80 thousand miles on it. We live in a rural area so it's not like constant braking.

We were heading on vacation to Florida on the evening of [XXX].While driving [XXX] towards Athens, Alabama we heard a squealing noise from our engine that lasted a minute then it stopped. We got off at the closest exit and realized that we had “No Brakes “. I prayed for our safety. Our truck ran through two stoplights that were red at the time. I downshifted the vehicle and stood on the brakes (hard pedal) and jumped over two concrete curbs before it finally came to a stop. We had it towed to Champion Chevrolet dealership in Athens Alabama. They diagnosed the problem as a brake vacuum pump that locked up and broke the belt too leaving us with no brakes at all. Champion Chevrolet worked us in and replaced the vacuum pump and belt.And got us back on the road for our vacation. We had to pay for a tow truck $100. An overnight stay at a hotel $150. I’m concerned about the tires, rims, alignment and suspension being damaged by jumping over the concrete curbs. I’m requesting a free inspection at a local Chevrolet dealership to thoroughly inspect and repair any damaged parts and a realignment. I also am out of pocket $250 for the tow and hotel room. I feel I’m being fair to ask for reimbursement and repairs. The dealership didn’t charge me for the repairs of the vacuum pump and drive belt as it was covered by a special recall (N182202780). Please direct me for escalation of reimbursement ,complimentary inspection and repair of my 2017 Silverado suspension or damages involved in this incident. excessive squealing noise coming from rear brakes from both sides of truck. I am original owner, and truck has less then 15,571 miles on it. Drove it to Chevrolet dealer in Kingsland Ga to evaluate. Before I arrived, about a 15-minute drive the Brake towing warning light came on. I was told by the dealership that both Brake Calipers had to be replaced as well as the brake pads that were damaged due to Brake Calipers locking up. The brake Rotors were fine and needed nothing. Repairs cost me around $1000 dollars. I think this is an unusual event due to the low milage, truck has always been garaged and dealership maintain. It's in brand new condition. Pulling a camper or trailer or even normal driving without towing could potentially cause an incident, fire or wreck. My truck is gasoline not diesel not included in the current safety bulletin. Truck was kept for 2 days for repairs.

This is a complaint in regards to the trailer breaking system in my certified pre-owned 2017 Chevy Silverado that I purchased in April of this year, 2024. I purchased this truck in particular for its high ratings in safety and towing capabilities. (April- May 2024) While towing a 22ft trailer from Virginia to Washington state, there were several moments where the “service trailer braking system” alert would appear on the dash. Driving on the interstate for days on end is twice as stressful when you have to wonder if your trailer brakes are reliable. If the trailer brakes were to suddenly stop working it would be dangerous for me and my passengers, as well as those around me on the road. (Sept- Oct 2024) We aren’t towing a trailer anymore, but the “service trailer braking system” light has been going off every couple minutes.

I noticed clicking noise from engine as I slowly drove home. Truck taken to Chevrolet dealer by wrecker service. Brake Assist warning light came on after the brake failed. Waiting on dealers evaluation and inspection.

Lost brakes 11/20/23 and GM replaced vacuum pump per policy n182202780. Vehicle had 143522 miles on it. Lost brakes again on [XXX] and vehicle needed another vacuum pump. This is just six months after first repair and vehicle now has 152987 miles. GM denied repair because truck had gone past 150000 miles. Brakes failed. The brake assist pump disintegrated, sending metal fragments into the Motor's oil circulation system. I was able to stop the truck using both feet and applying extreme force to the pedal. The dealer identified the problem. The "Brake Assist" warning light came on during the episode.

Remedy was to cut wire and run new wire from front to back and recut at plug. worked for one year. happened again this year. have not had repaired again.

We Bought a Chevy Silverado 1500 truck used in Nov 2021for purpose of towing RV trailer. In having axel bearings packed on trailer March [XXX], 2024, the RV mechanic noticed no wear or brake dust. He checked and determined RV brakes had never engaged and found no power to the RV brakes in the plug in port on back of truck. Took to dealer, Chesrown in Delaware Ohio, on [XXX], 2024. After having truck all day they said issue was brake modulator which they reprogrammed. We hooked up RV trailer and brakes still do not work. Hand brake controller on dash will engage the trailer brakes , but not the foot brake. In researching online, there is a great deal of discussion about GM knowing about and not addressing the issue. There’s a known defect in a wiring harness between two of the body control modules. This part is known for broken wires and for connective issues. We reached out to GM Customer service at 800-222-1020, who took our information and said they would contact the dealer. We took truck in today and explained again what the issue was and what we had learned from our research. There are currently several recalls on 2022 and 2023 Silverados for the same trailer brake issues. GM needs to take responsibility for this critical service issue!! We CAN NOT tow a RV trailer WITHOUT BRAKES! When we asked the service manager why the tow package was not part of the inspection process when they took the vehicle in and placed it for sale as a used vehicle, he said they don’t do that. Seems to us, that when a dealer sells a vehicle, all parts should be in working order. Especially with a factory installed tow package. PLEASE research and contact GM and have them issue a RECALL on ALL of their vehicles with factory tow packages to ensure the safety of all of those driving them! You will find numerous forums online where the biggest complaint is the trailer brake system not working and people very frustrated with the lack of response from not only GM but the dealers. In reverse my brakes dont work, its like they are grinding, ive changed the rear brakes hoping to fix the issue, i have no codes. It has almost made me wreck due to failure to stop with my kids in the truck, also the afm system is defective in order to keep my engine as safe as possible i had to put a afm deactivate plug into the obd port. Ive tried to figure out the brakes but no one can explain. Spending 34 thousand dollars i expect to have my vehicle safe for my children. I have been strictly chevy my whole life but this is unacceptable. Where we live in alaska id expect the vehicle to be in order and it does it mainly at steep hills and it hasnt done it when ive had people look at it.

I had our pick up inspected today and the mechanic asked about our brakes being hard to push. I explained It has been that way for some time. He informed me that GM had a recall for this safety issue but as of this moment it doesn’t cover our specific pick up. The recall reference number is: 19V645000. Vehicle only has 86,000 miles. Brake vacuum pump issue has failed and almost caused an accident or even death. I took my tuck at an easy trail in Big Sur CA. Brakes wasn’t working properly. I feared it would completely fail and cause us to fall off the cliff. Fortunately we got off that trail, but as we continued to drive on highway 1 the brakes would not stop the vehicle as it should. The truck would still move forward or even in reverse with the brakes pressed down. Brake pedal was hard to press and would get stuck. There were no warning lamps on to alert me. This issue has been going on for about a year and has finally given out. The vehicle has been inspected and brake vacuum pump replaced by Smith Chevrolet in Turlock CA. I was told by the service person that Chevy has a 150,000 mile warranty on the brake vacuum pump part only so mine was covered. After inspection I was told that the brake vacuum pump had no fluids at all. Vacuum pump is defective.

2017 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 5.3 litre V8 1. Low speed brake failure. Problem seems more prevalent while vehichle is in reverse. 2. Had to use emergency brake to stop the vehicle. 3. Not yet but research show safety recall for 2014-2018 vehicles. When I searched on my VIN it did not show up and I never received any recall notice. 4. No 5. No - Problem has occurred intermittently several times.

Engine has always “ticked” since new took it multiple times to dealer they said it’s normal. Took it to shop they say its pushrods. Brakes front they wear unevenly even after being replaced by shop it always feels like truck is braking feels like it takes extra effort on gas pedal Transmission its a 6L80 only 85,000 miles and already there is metal shavings in pan and transmission is shifting hard and slipping.

1: BRAKES CONCERNS: I feel unsafe driving my truck. Brake pedals gets stuck, seems like a brake vacuum pump issue. Vehicle keeps slowly rolling forward or backwards even when brakes are applied. Even worse when on an inclined road, the truck will not brake properly as it should. It is very dangerous to my safety and others. It comes and goes, but it seems to be getting worse now. I have made an appointment to Chevy so that they can inspect it. But I am sure they wont help me since my truck is slightly over the manufacturers warranty. As always I know they will try to sell me an extended warranty. I fear this issue will get me in an accident. I have also looked online and have read a few articles about 2017 Chevy Silverado owners who are having the same issue.

In slow driving the braking system is requires significant effort and requires increased distance to stop. service braking system message comes across the dash and goes away after a restart of the vehicle. GM has a recall for this issue but will not perform the programming required a second time despite it being a known manufactures defect.

I was traveling approximately 20MPH on a side street that was snow covered when I came to an uncontrolled intersection where there was another vehicle approaching from my right and when I began to break the abs stabilitrak lights came on and my vehicle began to slide all over the roadway.ABS light Stabilitrak and Service trailer brakes come on causing the vehicle to slide on icy roadways. Bought the car brand new and has 45k miles. The diagnostic pulls up right rear speed sensor, so I replaced it and it still comes on with warning lights and sounds. It is difficult to brake at low speeds; I have to press very hard for it to brake. I took my 2017 Chevrolet Silverado in to a shop in reference to a safety recall, they said they followed the procedures for that recall, but I have the same issue. I believe the proposed solution is not fixing the problem. This has been on going for at least three years. To be clear, this happens when there is REPETITIVE braking at low speeds. Typically after three times braking at low speeds (0-5 mph). What component or system failed or malfunctioned, and is it available for inspection upon request? Brake How was your safety or the safety of others put at risk? It is difficult to brake anytime there is repetitive braking at low speeds, including but not limited to parking lots, drive thru, or heavy traffic. Has the problem been reproduced or confirmed by a dealer or independent service center? Yes, per the safety recall message. Has the vehicle or component been inspected by the manufacturer, police, insurance representatives or others? Yes. Were there any warning lamps, messages or other symptoms of the problem prior to the failure, and when did they first appear? Sometimes there is a "Brake Assist Warning" message.

I have notice from OnStar for issues with Antilock braking and on the vehicle dash notice for brake assist problems. I have experienced pedal pressure changes at very slow speed where I had to push very hard to stop the vehicle. Search and info from Consumer Reports indicates this is a problem for this model year, however I have not been notified of a recall and none is listed on this web site. I have scheduled service, but I believe this vehicle should be added to the recall.

I had to press the brakes exceptionally hard to stop at low speed. This occurred after having the recall reprogramming the electronic brake control module. I believe the pump needs to be replaced!

The " service trailer brake system" light has been coming on for about 3 yrs in my truck. I have asked the dealer about this, and all I hear is it will cost me about $200 just to find out what is causing this. I was also told I could clear this just by pressing the dismiss button, which I have been doing. I don't feel this is the way to fix the problem. Since I do a lot of towing, I feel this is putting both mine and other lives in danger, since I don't know if my brakes are going to work or fail. I have recently discovered that this is a very common defect in this vehicle and is due to a faulty wire harness, which could fail at any time and cause a brake failure. I am truly afraid to operate this vehicle, and feel ALL 2017 silverado's should be recalled, and this faulty wire harness replaced, before people die.

I was driving north on Hwy 60 just south of the Hwy 73 turnoff in Arizona. It was a windy mountain road. I was approaching a vehicle from behind and took my foot off the gas and hit the brakes. Nothing - Nothing. I started pumping the brakes to the floor - still nothing. I was able to adjust my position on the road and travel between the two lanes of traffic - one northbound and the other southbound. I did slightly clip another vehicle. My truck rolled into a stop several miles later. When I was almost at a complete stop - the brakes finally engaged and the vehicle stopped. From where I stopped - it was a flat drive into Showlow, AZ and there was no cell service where I was. I drove at appx 40-45 mph with my emergency flashers along the right side of the road. The truck is sitting on my lot in Lakeside, AZ and has not yet been taken to the dealer for service. Several things to note: I have no recollection of the incident after the initial brakes failed and I took corrective action. My next memory was rolling to a stop on the side of the road. Right after the incident, which driving into town, I suffered a stroke and drove to the hospital. I was released 24 hours later and have since returned to Phoenix. The truck is still in Lakeside awaiting repair.

My brakes weren’t working very good. And when I backed out my driveway I had no brakes at all and almost hit a vehicle. I took my truck to Smith Chevrolet where I bought it in Turlock Ca 95380. Upon arrival they checked it in an provided me a loaner vehicle. I purchased the vehicle with every extended warranty available.. I was within my warranties. I’m still in my warranty limit. I received a call and was told they need the loaner vehicle back for other customers. I asked if they fixed the issue. The service tech manager and service tech said there was no issue with the brakes. I asked if they got in the vehicle and tested it. They said yes. Problem is I knew they were lying. I arrived to the dealership and I met with [XXX] the general manager cause I had conflict with service manager and service tech. I asked a 30+ year mechanic named [XXX] landers to jump in the truck to test the brake. He said there’s no reason the brake boosters are defected and should be replaced. But I insisted he still test the vehicle. When tested the vehicle had severe break issues. I was still left with no loaner vehicle and given my truck to take home with brake issues. Come to find out the service manager and service tech were fired. But [XXX] the general manager was the one that let me leave with my truck and no loaner vehicle. It has been a nightmare for a couple years now. I think outside of this I will seek a serious lawsuit against Smith Chevrolet and [XXX]. The brake booster is still not fixed. 1. I lost power steering, power breaks, all dash lights/power and I believe air bags. The truck is available for inspection. 2. The first time I was traveling at 65mph in moderate traffic, it was very difficult to pull over to safety. The second time I was traveling at 50mph on a very windy road with heavy traffic. I almost hit another vehicle head on with several vehicles traveling in both lanes. The last time I was backing into my carport and almost bumped I to my house. 3. No, I called onstar the first time, they did a system check and said everything was good. I called a dealership the Second time and they confirmed I had no open recalls and explained it would be difficult to troubleshoot because it was intermittent. 4. I will be calling back to the dealership in the morning to make an appointment. 5. I got the audible chime, the airbag light came on and the "trailer break" message came on the info center. But everything goes back to normal.

My Service Trailer Brake System light comes on. This is the 2nd time that I have had to take my truck in for this issue. The first time it was fixed it lasted for about a year. I am not sure what the issue is, but there seems to be a lot of people with this same issue that is very concerning especially when you are pulling a heavy load and the trailer brakes stopped working.

Also when going 75mph on cruise control the "Stabilitrak" message comes up and kicks off my cruise and completely blanks out my screens. When driving at low speeds and trying to brake, my vehicle's brake pedal fades and fails to stop properly requiring increased stopping distance. This happens when pulling into parking lots, stopping at a traffic device, or in a drive through. There is a current recall for this exact problem that I am experiencing within my model year, however my VIN number does not have the recall. The campaign numbers for this recall are 19V645 and 20V603. I want me vehicle added to the list so I can have it repaired by the dealer before an accicdent occurs. This event has occurred multiple times in my vehicle over the past 18 months/30,000 miles.

I am the owner of a 2017 Chevy Silverado with a little under 50000 miles. I have had an issue with the computer system occasionally re-booting while driving. Also, on occasion, I will get a warning on my display for "trailer braking system" for a fraction of a second. I have mentioned this a several service appointments and inspections, but the dealership was never able to pinpoint the problem. On the morning of Monday, February 28th, I dropped my children off at school, pulled up to the edge of the building and the "trailer braking system" warning flashed for a split second on my display. I proceeded to the stop sign. As I was making the turn into traffic, the computer seemed to have re-booted several times in the period of a few seconds. However, this time, my steering locked in place while making the turn, putting the front of my vehicle just over the double yellow line into oncoming traffic. The doors locked and unlocked several times, several chimes went off, the display flashed a few times, and then, after a couple of seconds, I was able to steer and pull back into my lane. I promptly called Chevy support to report the issue, as I believed this to be an important safety issue that Chevy would be extremely concerned with. I was disappointed to find that the operator was not interested in taking my information, she suggested that I contact the dealership for service, which I already was in the process of doing. I explained that I was calling to report a safety issue to Chevy, not to merely complain, and offered my VIN number. She reluctantly checked the last 8 digits of my VIN number for known recalls and again suggested I call for service. Dealership said that my power steering module needed calibration updates. But, they are not sure that this will solve my issue. I see many complaints like this online and Chevy is not proactively scanning for this computer issue even though it could be deadly in traffic, especially on the highway.

I was in a drive thru yesterday and couldn’t stop. I was traveling less than 5 mph, and the brake pedal was extremely stiff, I had to pump the brakes several times in order to stop the truck. At one point I had to place the truck in park in order to keep the truck from moving because the brake pedal wouldn’t hold the truck still. I PICKED UP MY TRUCK FROM THE DEALERSHIP AFTER REPAIRS DUE TO AN IMPACT WITH A DEER. THE VEHICLE WAS AT THE DEALERSHIP FOR THREE WEEKS. AFTER TRAVELING LESS THAN THREE (3) MILES, FROM THE DEALERSHIP, THE BRAKES DID NOT WORK PROPERLY/ISSUE WITH THE BRAKE PEDAL AND STOPPING. I WAS ABLE TO AVOID AN ACCIDENT BUT HAD TO PARK THE TRUCK AND HAVE IT TOWED BACK TO THE DEALERSHIP. UPON INSPECTION, THE DEALERSHIP ADVISED THAT THE VACUUM PUMP NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. I KNOW THERE IS A RECALL FOR THIS PART FOR THE CHEVY SILVERADO BUT MY VIN SHOWS NO RECALL SO I AM REPORTING THIS ISSUE FOR MY VIN AND HOPEFULLY THIS INFORMATION CAN HELP ANOTHER TRUCK OWNER AVOID AN ACCIDENT OR INJURY. IN THE EVENT THE RECALL IS EXPANDED TO OUR SILVERADO MODEL WE WOULD REQUEST REIMBURSEMENT FOR THE EXPENSE TO REPLACE THE DEFECTIVE PART. on or around august 13, 2021 this vehicle was brought to triangle chevrolet in defuniak springs fl. for a recall on a loss of power assist braking. in the last 3 weeks or so i have had a loss of power braking at low speed drastically increasing stopping distance while also putting a tremendous amount of effort on the brake pedal, 2 times while going through fast food drive through, 1 time while manuvering around a gas pump to get gas. it acts like there is a loss of vacuum assist, and sometimes there is some vibration in the brake pedal as it the antilock brake system is activating. did triangle chevrolet actually perform the recall? if so, did they do it correctly? , if they did , what is the remedy for this

Brake pedal is stiff when braking at highway speeds. At low speeds, brake feels as if the anti lock braking system is activated (grinding/slight vibration). In reverse, brake will go to the floor and not immediately stop vehicle. The pedal grinds like the ABS is activated, however, no pulsing action. In addition, a trailer braking warning light registered.. I do not tow with this vehicle!! This vehicle has not been to an authorized dealer for maintenance as of this message. Vehicle has 40k miles registered.

I purchased a certified pre-owned 2017 Chevy Silverado on February 1st of this year, and over the last 4 months have put only 5,000 miles on it. On June 20th, on my way back from a 10-hour trip, where I was towing a trailer with a car on it, my trailer brakes suddenly stopped functioning (about 4 hours from home). Not only did the trailer brakes stop functioning, but a warning message popped up on the dashboard "service trailer brake system". But this warning message didn't pop up just one time, it kept coming again and again and again and again and again, relentlessly chiming and distracting me from driving, it covered my speedometer readout, it prevented me from receiving or making voice commands, prevented me from hearing phone calls, and prevented me from listening to music. The service warning chime also prevented the turn signal chime from functioning. So for a full 4 hours, I was constantly reminded with a service trailer brake system chime, was unable to hear my turn signal chime, was unable to listen to music or make a phone call, and was unable to see the digital readout of my speed. The vehicle had been rendered completely undrivable, and I absolutely will not hesitate to say that the vehicle was not safe to drive in that condition. Especially if you consider that I was towing 5,000 lbs with no working trailer brakes. GM's defective wire harness endangered my life. Consumer stated wire harness has not been replaced and manufacture refused to honor CPO warranty.

...Decreased service brake: intermittent vehicle vibration throughout vehicle and decreased brake performance with brake pedal application. Vehicle has approximately 21,400 miles, purchased new, operates in the rochester ny rust belt area. Inquired at dealer of problem, was informed GM does not cover brake "maintenance" items. Upon inspection, considerable deterioration, due to rust, was noted on said vehicles 4 brake rotors along with loss of inner brake pad surface area of rotors. Upon completion of 4 wheel brake pad, rotor and hardware replacement, at the cost to myself, to date, brake performance is back to "as new" with no noticeable vibration at this time....vjd....(pics available, upon request, of rotors)

On 10/26/2019, the 2017 Chevrolet Silverado was being driven in heavy traffic on the 134/210 Freeway area of Glendale, California. The truck was going 10 mph, and when the driver went to stop, the brake petal pressed to the floor, resulting in a rear end collision with the car in front of it. The driver of the first car appeared uninjured, but filed a claim later that he had ongoing lower back issues. The brake light only went on after the incident. The truck was driven to a local Chevrolet dealer and the brakes were serviced a few days later. The vacuum pump was the reason why the truck did not stop. It is notated on paperwork and confirmed when speaking to the Service Manager on Friday, November 1st at 4:30 pm. The service manager also reported there was now a recall to fix the problem, so it would be fixed and a new vacuum pump would be put in (Vacuum Pump Replacement Special Coverage N182198000). A claim was filed with GMC to pay for the damage and take over the insurance claim made by the owner of the truck, as well as the car in front of it. GMC came out to the Chevrolet dealer during that time, and GMC reported to the owner that they would not help with fixing the vehicle or the insurance claims. The owner requested the final report three times and there was no response. The truck had been reported to multiple service providers that there were issues with the stopping of the brakes in 2019. It was requested by the owner that the brakes were inspected so that they could be replaced if needed. There was also an incident in July 2019 where front and rear brakes were interchanged on the paperwork and the owner of the truck was told that it was just a paperwork mix up because they "fixed the brakes that were bad."

The truck started giving me problems one day in a parking lot the breaks went straight to the floor and the truck shook and it was weird and the truck barley stopped and I put it in park. I started to drive again and at fast speeds the brakes seemed fine .. but then it’s happened multiple times for me now in traffic and in parking lots and it’s not safe at all I’ve bought new rotors all new brakes pads and even changed the brake booster and main cylinder all through Midas and it still has done it to me again.

IF YOU GO FROM PARK TO DRIVE AND JUST LIFT YOUR FOOT OFF THE BRAKE PEDAL WITHOUT APPLYING GAS AND VEHICLE STARTS ROLLING, THEN YOU APPLY THE BRAKES, IT WILL KEEP ROLLING A FEW FEET BEFORE COMING TO A COMPLETE STOP AND AS MENTIONED PREVIOUSLY THE BRAKE PEDAL IS HARD TO PUSH DOWN AND ONLY GOES DOWN ABOUT A COUPLE INCHES. WHILE PARKING THE TRUCK I LOSS ALL BRAKE PRESSURE. THE PEDAL WENT TO THE FLOOR AND I HAD TO STAND ON THE BRAKES TO GET THE TRUCK STOPPED. ONCE STOPPED AND PARKED I REPEATEDLY PUMPED THE PEDAL WITH NO CHANGES. I HAD THE TRUCK TOWED TO A MECHANIC WHO FOUND NO ISSUES WITH THE FLUID OR SYSTEM IN GENERAL. IN MARCH 2020, I NOTICED THAT AT LOW SPEEDS AND MAINLY WHEN BACKING, THE BRAKES BEGAN TO LOSE PRESSURE AND WHAT SOUNDED LIKE AND FELT LIKE THE ANTILOCK BRAKE SYSTEM WAS ENGAGING, AND VERY HARD PRESSURE WAS NEEDED TO STOP THE TRUCK WITH LONGER THAN EXPECTED BRAKING OCCURRING. THE PROBLEM HAS DEFINITELY WORSENED AND OCCURS NEARLY EVERY TIME BRAKING AT LOW SPEEDS IN REVERSE WITH ANY TYPE OF INCLINE. WHILE BACKING MY BOAT INTO A DRIVEWAY, THIS ISSUE OCCURRED AND NEARLY SENT THE BOAT INTO THE GARAGE DOOR. THERE WAS A RECALL FOR THIS ISSUE WITH THE ABS, BUT I HAVE TO PAY THE DEALER OUT OF POCKET. THEY ARE CURRENTLY DOING THE DIAGNOSIS ON IT TO SEE WHAT THE ISSUE IS. IF THE ISSUE MATCHES THE SAME ABS ISSUE AS THE RECALLS FOR 2014-2018 MODELS ON THE SILVERADO, WOULD THERE BE A WAY TO FIGHT THE CHARGES? THE WARNING NOTIFICATION AND ICON WOULD LIGHT UP WHEN EITHER STATIONARY OR MOVING AT ANY SPEED. 48 HOURS AGO IT WOULD ONLY DO IT WHEN TURNING AT ALMOST FULL ROTATION, OR DRIVING OVER SOME CRACKS ON THE ROAD. NOW IT JUST DOES IT RANDOMLY AND VERY OFTEN TO WHERE THE BRAKES WOULD SHAKE WHEN APPLIED. POWER ALSO GOES DOWN A BIT, AND THE WHEEL WOULD JERK. PRETTY MUCH EXACTLY AS HOW ALL THE PRIOR COMPLAINTS ABOUT IT BEFORE THE RECALL WHEN IT REACHED YOUTUBE. I PUSHED THE PEDAL AS HARD AS I COULD AND STOPPED JUST BEFORE HITTING ANOTHER CAMPER. PUT THE TRUCK IN PARK AND TRIED THE BRAKES AGAIN AND THE PEDAL PRESSURE WAS BACK. FUEL INJECTOR OR FUEL PUMP DOES NOT WORK PROPERLY. ON TWO (2) DIFFERENT OCCASIONS, MONTHS APART, MY ENGINE HAS LOST POWER AND THE VEHICLE STALLED. BOTH TIMES AT LOW SPEEDS 10 - 15 MPH AND LOW RPMS. THIS HAS NEARLY CAUSED ME TO CRASH INTO ONE VEHICLE AND FOR ANOTHER TO ALMOST HIT ME FROM BEHIND AS MY CAR DIED WHILE MAKING A RIGHT HAND TURN OFF A BUSY ROAD. I HAVE HAD THE VEHICLE TOWED IN TWICE, BUT THE DEALERSHIP AND GM BOTH SAY UNLESS THEY CAN DUPLICATE THE ISSUE THEY WILL NOT FIX OR REPLACE ANYTHING. THIS VEHICLE IS UNSAFE AND NEEDS TO BE RECALLED/REVIEWED. ON TOP OF THIS, THEY HAD TO REPLACE THE VACUUM PUMP FOR THE BRAKES AND DO A SOFTWARE PATCH UPDATE BECAUSE THE BACKUP CAMERA WAS DANGEROUSLY BRIGHT, ESPECIALLY AT NIGHT. THE CAMERA ISSUE TOOK 2 VISITS TO 2 DIFFERENT DEALERSHIPS TO GET RESOLVED. GM IS PLAYING THE NUMBERS GAME OF HOPING FOR A FINE INSTEAD OF PAYING TO REPLACE ANY PARTS. ESPECIALLY SINCE THEY ARE DEALING WITH A PR BATTLE ABOUT MAKING CARS OUTSIDE OF THE USA. THEY TOOK THE BAILOUT MONEY AND SCREWED AMERICANS.

BACKING UP MY TRUCK, AT SLOW SPEED DOWN A BOAT RAMP, MY BRAKE PEDAL AUTHORITY WENT TO ZERO. I HAD NO BRAKES DURING BACKING MY BOAT IN GULF OF MEXICO. I HAD TO STAND ON PEDAL WITH ALL OF MY WEIGHT JUST TO SLOW IT LONG ENOUGH SO I COULD PUT ON PARKING BRAKE. I WAS ABLE TO STOP THE VEHICLE BEFORE IT ENTERED THE WATER, BUT IT TOOK CONSIDERABLE FORCE ON THE BRAKE PEDAL. I ALERTED THE DEALERSHIP, KOLAR CHEVROLET DULUTH, OF THIS SAFETY ISSUE TWICE IN 2018 AND AGAIN MOST RECENTLY ON MAY 23, 2019. THE DEALERSHIP WAS UNABLE TO DUPLICATE THE PROBLEM AND STATED THEY WOULD NOT TAKE FURTHER ACTION UNLESS THEY WERE ABLE TO DUPLICATE THE ISSUE.
