I own a 2019 Chevrolet Silverado 1500. While driving 35 MPH entering the flow of traffic, the vehicle lost power with the engine misfiring. The messages "Service Parking Brake" and "Service ESC" were displayed. The check engine warning light was also illuminated. I drove to the nearest dealership the vehicle was diagnosed that cylinder #5 lifters had collapsed. The dealer informed me that the cylinder lifters needed to be replaced. Additionally, the camshaft would be replaced as necessary. The vehicle was being repaired. The manufacturer will be notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 88,000. and I was informed that my service contract had expired less than 2 months ago

As I was driving the vehicle it seems to be hesitating or jerking and when I tried to start it,it would say put your foot on the brakes to start,but my foot was on the pedal and it was slow starting.Days later the engine light came on,took it to the dealership and they told me it was a problem with the brake system.I bought the vehicle brand new,only 41,000 miles,on it now,warranty went out in June of this year.I very rarely drives it and now they saying its a 4,000 job to get it fixed.

My truck for several months now has been having an issue with power steering, gets a service vision system where at time I get no back up camera and a server trailer brake system. While doing research I've found dozens of posts and videos of issues with 2 ground straps on the vehicle thaylt have affected all 3 or these issues I am dealing with. The ground straps are under the truck near the right wheel well and are basically out in the open not protected wires. I live up north in New York and these wires will corroded overtime especially dealing with salt, snow etc. It is a known issue that a TSB has been put out. I called GM to speak with them of this issue and was told that I haven't bring it to a dealership to look at where I would have to pay a diagnostic fee. I would also possibly be responsible for the repair itself. This issie with the ground straps should be a safety recall especially due to the fact it affects power steering. This has caused my vehicle to at times be unsafe to drive when hard to turn. Thos can cause a serious accidents. The fix is so easy and is a huge engineering flaw with where these wires were placed and not protected. Im asking you to put out a recall so individuals like me can get this issie fixed with no costs to the customer. Not fair for us to foot the bill for a known SAFETY issue. This issue happens everyday. Not sure of exact start date that this is making me choose.

The back windshield on my Silverado leaks water every time it rains causing the back window to smell of smoke like electrical burning. It also creates a visibility issue out the back window when I've called three different dealerships in the area and each one of them say it is a known issue with this vehicle and it's going to cost almost $3,000 to fix. I have contacted GMC only for them to say that I needed to contact this department I feel like this is a safety issue that GMC should have to help their customers with not just be like oh well your truck may or may not be on fire while it rains

When attempting to park the truck and shut the engine off, a message appears on the dash stating that I should "shift to park". I have already made the shift to park but the system will not allow the electrical system to shut down. A loud beeping begins, door locks remain open and inoperable, the vehicle is then unsecurable and the ignition remains open/on which in time will run the battery down. Disconnection from the battery will stop the drain on the battery for this particular event but will not cure the problem nor erase data that has sometime worked on complex computer controlled devices. I refuse to allow my wife to take the vehicle to park at any location for fear of her safety to secure or lock the vehicle and, in the event she would have to vacate the vehicle it would increase the possibility of theft of the truck. GM has recalled other makes of their products for the same problems which I understand was also reported to NHTSA and has also suffered litigation in the form of class action suits which was won by consumers in the states of Tennessee and Ohio. After consulting the dealership with the complaint, I was instructed that GM has not issued a recall for these trucks which experience the same problem as those they were required to recall and repair. The costs for such repair by the consumer is unreasonable and unwarranted by reasons that this is a manufacturing AND certainly a SAFETY problem for the consumer. Their disregard for safety and quality control has been demonstrated continually as research in this matter and other complaints of GM problems are and continue to be numerous. This vehicle is IS out of the normal warranty range. However, just as the problem with the brakes that suddenly failed just after the warranty expired on this vehicle which was also a major safety problem, extensive testing of GM safety performance is not a priority but rather they ship it out the door to consumers and just see what happens. The contact owns a 2019 Chevrolet Silverado 1500. The contact stated while driving 55 MPH, the power steering and brakes failed to operate as needed. The contact turned off and restarted the vehicle and continued driving; however, the failure persisted. During the failure, the power steering, brakes, and coolant sensors all failed to operate simultaneously. The contact inspected the vehicle and became aware that the braided ground strap to the sub frame was corroded and needed to be replaced. The contact replaced the ground strap twice. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, who also determined that the ground strap was corroded and needed to be replaced. The dealer replaced the part once, but the failure persisted. The manufacturer was informed of the failure. The manufacturer referred the contact to the NHTSA Hotline to report the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 30,000.

What component or system failed or malfunctioned, and is it available for inspection upon request? The ECU/Power train failed/ Yes the vehicle is available for inspection. The vehicle's check engine light & traction light came on & the dash displayed multiple warning messages including reduced engine power & service ECS. How was your safety or the safety of others put at risk? I was traveling on the Interstate at 65 MPH in traffic in the far left passing lane. Engine power was reduced & I had to safely navigate the vehicle through traffic & multiple lanes to safely get the vehicle to the shoulder of the interstate & avoid causing any accidents. Has the problem been reproduced or confirmed by a dealer or independent service center? Yes, the problem was confirmed by my local Chevrolet dealer. Has the vehicle or component been inspected by the manufacturer, police, insurance representatives or others? It was inspected by my local Chevrolet dealer. Were there any warning lamps, messages or other symptoms of the problem prior to the failure, and when did they first appear? No there was not. The issue was attributed to a known manufacturing flaw on my vehicle. The wiring harness to the ECU was chaffed caused by rubbing on the frame, ECU bracket and/or A arm which in turn caused the issue. GM published a repair bulletin on this issue as well as the NHTSA.

I have a 2019 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 LTZ. 5.3 Ecotrac 8 transmission with 89,000 miles. I bought it used and have had it 12 months, but only drove it 9 before it malfunctioned causing severe electrical & mechanical problems. I was driving the truck when the EPB, service engine, stabilitrac, ECBM warning lights came on, also driving over 43 miles an hour could cause a crash due brake failure This caused the emissions. transmission, & throttle to shut down Truck would not shift out of low gear. It would shift to park but did not recognize it was in park which kept the accessory on running down the battery, the tail gate would not open, and the information system shut down. I got sick and was in the hospital for 5 weeks, the truck was vandalized. The body repair shop took it to the chevrolet dealership in long beach to have it inspected. I did not tell them the vehicle had malfunctioned, throwing code U0101 and another code. I wanted the dealer to find the problem, the truck had not been driven since it was parked from the malfunction. All they came back with was I had a burnt cylinder and would be 9000 to fix due to maintenance, we maintained this truck changing the oil every 3000 miles with Castoroil synthetic oil, regularly checking and maintaining transmission, brake , all-fluids. Supposedly they ran a diagnostic, if they did they would have found these warnings and that main code U0101 would have showed up. When it happened Onstar ran the diagnostic and told me to take it immediately to a dealership. That dash should have lit up like a christmas tree that’s how many light were going off. The dealership never said a thing about these lights. Now i’ve read where Chevy had a problem with the EPB and only put them on this model from 2019 to 2022 because of this. I found on other sites recalls that included what happened to my truck, but not in your web sight. There was major design and manufacturing flaw with this model and year. I’ve read complaints on this.

It’s been draining the battery every couple of days,sometimes the screen won’t turn off it just stays on but black it won’t even play the radio the tailgate won’t open most of the time the dashboard is been over heating it gets extremely hot I tough it was just Texas weather but on winter days was hotter than normal when I put it in park it won’t it keeps beeping and showing a message to put packing on sometimes you can hear a very thin noise coming from the dashboard ..transmission vibrates over 50-60 mph

I bought a this car and the car started giving me issues, Engine wasn’t working properly, brakes were not working well, they gave me problem even I thought maybe the need to be changed, the suspension was off in a way that I feel uncomfortable driving the car and besides that, has electrical problems sometimes the radio and the panel went off out of nowhere and the car just have 40,000 miles.

In 2024, I had the transmission replaced due it leaking transmission fluid. The transmission is sealed and there is no way to add fluid. This created an internal problem for the transmission. In January 2025, the engine made a loud pop noise and began performing horribly. My wife and I were on the interstate in a major city and surrounded by traffic. I drove it to the side of the interstate, immediately, and turned it off. I had to call someone to tow me back home(2 hours away) and my wife missed a very important doctor's appointment. Upon inspection, I found failed valve lifters, camshaft, pushrod and valve lifter tray. I managed to get everything replaced and the truck ran fine. March 2025, as I was driving on the highway, the truck stopped running. A message came on the dash screen saying, "Shift to Neutral and restart". I did and nothing happened. I had it towed to a shop. They told me it was a fuse block that was blown and the starter blew so they replaced them. It had struggled to start a couple of times and since I knew it had a new battery, a starter and fuse block made sense. I picked the truck up and in less than 24 hours, it happened again. It stopped running as I was driving and would not restart. The shop has checked GM tech forums and found where someone said to check if the motor would turn over manually. They have tried and failed. They, then, took the oil filter off and found metal shavings in the oil. Their diagnosis is that the engine bearing has seized and is causing the problems. My main issue is safety. My wife and I could have been seriously injured or killed and could have injured or killed someone else when the incident happened on the interstate. The same could've happened with just me in the vehicle or with our children. There were no warning lamps, messages or any symptoms whatsoever before January 2025 for the engine. The truck doesn't even have 100,000 miles on it and I have kept up all of the maintenance.

I have been reading numerous other reviews online that they are experiencing the same issue. 2nd problem is when I bought the vehicle I noticed numerous oil spots on the tailgate, I asked a GM representative & they said it was road grime, but I noticed the rear pinon is leaking, so it's been leaking since I bought the truck & the dealership either doesn't know it's a known issue or they didn't want to come out & say it.

My DIC showed a message of Shift to Park. This has prevented me from turning my truck off. I have been stranded on a couple of occasions until finally I was able to push the Stop/Start button to turn my truck off. Also has prevented me from locking my truck at times. The fact that I can't turn my truck is a real safety problem and also creates the possibility of it rolling down hill. Being stranded is the worst part and if I can't turn my truck off at some point the battery is going to go dead. There are several bulletins out on at least 5-6 GM cars with this problem - #19-NA-206 and 04-00-89-053 from engineering. I finally to feel safe I had to go to my local Chevy store and get it fixed costing me 563.24 plus tax. I need to be reimbursed for this as GM has been aware of this problem since 2018.

I purchased this vehicle after my first 2019 chevrolet silverado trail boss's BCM dealined the vehicle after owning it 32 days. The vehicle with VIN [XXX] has had multiple engine failures causing the vehicle to be deadlined at the dealership for in excess of sixty days. The transmission is now failing as well. I am on my 2nd engine failure issue and the dealership refuses to acknowledge the problem. While under engine failure my vehicle would misfire causing the engine to stall and buck around like a wild horse. The electrical system on this vehicle is a complete catastrophe. The windows refuse to roll up once in the down position more often than not, the tailgate intermittently drops and closes on its own, the notifications on the dash always indicate the tailgate is down even when it is in the upright position, the lane change assist and parking detection intermittently work causing faulty detection when backing in/out of parking and changing lanes on the highway endangering the public, and all while these issues persist the "check engine" light never illuminates. Even when my truck had to be towed into the dealership the check engine light never came on. I have had this vehicle sine 43000 miles and now have 115000 miles and every oil change i have done(I am a shop owner and technician) has had metal shavings in the drained oil that has got past the filter due to the IMPROPER engine repair done by BEAVER CHEVROLET when my engine failed the last time. It is best practice to drain all the oil, remove engine from vehicle and replace the oil pump and pickup after cleaning the engine internally while disassembled to ensure no metal contaminants are inside the engine. Chevrolet simply replaces the broken components and doesn't do the proper procedure when an internal component fails, call any machine shop in any city across america and ask what the procedure is when a camshaft or bearing fails in a motor is. I own a 2019 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 LT Trail Boss that exhibits strange and persistent issues. A recurring engine code appears P0499, clears itself, and then reappears without consistent resolution. This affects the remote starter as the engine light will be engaged. Additionally, several service warnings flash momentarily and disappear, including: •Service Trailer Brake System •Brake System Failure – Top Speed Limited to 62 or 43 MPH •Parking Sensor Unavailable These warnings occur without warning and vanish too quickly to document fully. Despite multiple visits to the dealership, technicians have been unable to replicate or resolve the problem. This unpredictable behavior creates safety concerns, particularly regarding brake system reliability and sensor functionality. Wires were improperly installed during assembly, on truck and rubs on a frame which chafes, which causes the protective covering to get rubbed off causing a short circuit on my wiring harness which causes the "check engine light" to stay on constantly. This is a factory mistake yet they want to charge me for the fix. I also have come to know this is getting too common on Chevy Silverado 1500 and GMC Sierras. GM needs to correct their factory defect for free. This chafing can happen in three different areas on the trucks. These shorted wires can cause failure of the fuel pumps and leave you on the road when the engine shuts down. GM knows about these problems but has not acted on this problem. they never mentioned or noted the wiring problem on my repair summary, Oct. 23, 24, when they were replacing the torque converter. They showed it to me, but never made note of it. They are going to work on it Monday 12/9/24, I will talk of, who's going to cover the cost of this after it's repaired.

Twice the vehicle has malfunction at high rates of speed no brakes no steering and almost caused serious injury to myself and young son the second occurrence I record the last 15 seconds safely to have proof of exactly the speed of disengaged control. For this very reason. Vehicle has been at dealership since 10/28 I’ve had to rent a car 1700.00 and more than 30+ days no diagnostic or response to purchase this defective vehicle with number of same occurrence of brake electric emissions and transmission malfunction.

The contact's husband was able to drive to the residence by using physical strength to maneuver the steering wheel. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, where the tailgate motor was replaced; however, the failure recurred. The vehicle was taken back to the dealer where the contact was informed that the tailgate motor needed to be lubricated. The motor was lubricated; however, the failure persisted. The electrical system: truck will make clicking noises after I turn it off and the keys are out of ignition. Radio won’t go off when it’s supposed to. I have fan on in my truck for the heat/ac and it blows out of the wrong vent or if I have dial on high there is nothing coming out. When I’m walking away from the truck it will start making noises. Head lights are dim inside lights are dim. I can smell gas in my truck. Transmission jerks no power at all driving up a hill. I had a 2006 Chevy Silverado. I fell in love with it the first time I seen it. She had a v8 vortex motor in it. I don’t know why a person would put come up with a v6 to pull an 8000 lb truck!!! It takes forever to speed up! I was told to save gas, I seriously don’t think so!!! I put transmissions and engines together for 15 years at Toyota. I have a lot of respect for the Japanese people because they care about what they build. Chevy needs to hire some people from Toyota to help straighten them out. Can’t really give dates to many!

Hello, I purchased a 2019 Chevrolet Trailboss LT from a Chevrolet dealership on April 23 2024. I noticed a few days later and after the first rain, the back window was leaking water inside. There is a service bulletin regarding this issue, I called General Motors and was told that they recommend me getting this repaired at my expense. Ironically my mother whom was with me at the time of purchase was coughing on our way home from the dealership and said she’s very sensitive to black mold and felt the truck had mold somewhere in it. I do have pictures of large water stains on the headliner along with water running down the back window onto the carpet. I do not feel comfortable putting my family in this vehicle with possible black mold. At time of purchase, i mentioned to the sales lady that my mother suffers from a chronic lung infection and the leaking back window service bulletin was never disclosed with me. I feel that General Motors should be held accountable to make these repairs at their expense due to black mold, water around electrical and seatbelts. Thank you for any help

When I put the vehicle in reverse the camera goes fuzzy then cuts out completely. Then goes on/off repeatedly. Also having transmission issues, I put the vehicle in drive and doesn’t move until about 7 seconds after I let off the brake. Does a bad jerk! Shifting issue throughout the whole time I’m driving! I talked to a guy about his truck that has the same issues I’m having and he said the dealer needs to change the transmission soon. Really concerns me bc I feel like one day it will leave me stranded and the truck only has 48,000 miles

This 2019 Silverado pickup truck lurched forward on 2 different occasions. The first time it lurched forward, it was in a parking lot and no damage was done to the truck or any other vehicle. The second time our 2019 Silverado pickup truck lurched forward I was turning around at a farm. The truck hit a wooden building on the farm and did damage to it and our truck did damage the front end of the truck to the tune of $3,474.00. If someone was in front of the truck, they would have been killed or seriously injured. We have been very careful with the truck ever since. We could pull it into our garage and it could lurch forward and go through the garage wall.

the truck is constantly running a shift to park message. It takes continuous attempts by pressing the brake and wiggling or changing gears to reverse, to drive back to park in order to shut off. Sometimes, it takes up to 10 minutes to stop erroring before I can exit the vehicle. this has started a couple years ago there has been no resolution by Chevrolet as to the reason or an option to fix it the truck will not allow me to leave and lock it while this is occuring so i have no option but to keep to shifting gears to make it stop.

The rear electric sliding window sealant fails in the there trucks allowing for water to get into the cab at times soaking the headliner. When this happens it can cause possible mold in the headliner leading to possible harm to any child seated in a car seat in the back seat. This should be a recall and fix by GM on these vehicles but they currently do not cover the fix.

It feels like you are going over rumble strips. Also the screen flickers bad making it difficult to see the backup camera. I started vehicle. Everything seemed fine. Drove 2 blocks and all eletricals started acting up. Lights flashing all warning lights went off. Service brakes, Service parking brake, service ECM, etc. Motor started to bog down and major knocking from engine. Took to GMC dealership. They found issues with lifters and had to replace all lifters and camshaft. Also replaced faulty brake sensor. Get truck back and oil cooler hose or line came off and was leaking oil. 1 week after repairs. Take back to dealership for repairs. 2 weeks later went to start truck all electronics went haywire, lights flashing, all warning lights start going off again. Truck will not start. Let sit for 15 mins. Try starting and no electrical power at all. Truck will not shift out of park. Major issue. Sounds to be a common issue with 2019 Trail Boss. Only has 40,000 miles.

When I shift the vehicle to “Park” and shut off the engine, a “Shift to Park” message comes on the dash and the electric components won’t turn off and the vehicle chimes until it will randomly stop. Sometimes it does not stop and will drain the battery completely. This happened once at a wedding venue in the middle of nowhere and I was left stranded. No matter how many times I restart the vehicle and shift to different gears, the message continuously comes up and only way to avoid battery draining is to disconnect it, which is a major inconvenience.

At a major intersection of several lanes north/south & east/west silverado stalled while waiting for the red light to change. Engine cutoff, would not restart, and situation was high traffic time at a high traffic intersection. Car was towed, problem diagnosed as the electronic sensor would not allow electricty to the starter motor. required part is not available, it turns out that this is reportedly a common problem. The truck is a Silverado 2019 with 36,811 miles. Reportedly out of warranty but this appears to be a common problem and certainly is the kind of problem that would be many years down the road

I've had continued issues with components that are electrical . The interior electrical items go wonky, radio touch screen will blink back and forth between two screens for several minutes. Sometimes the sir and radio will just turn on with no key, this is random. It will also turn on off then on again after removing key. The ac has begun to randomly stop working(, blowing cold or at sufficient correct speed) all these occurrences are random, have been checked, unable to duplicate or correct. Bigger more serious issues . The steering and loss of power and hesitation in transmission. My steering went horribly bad. It was replaced and it's still bad and the power module in new unit is bad.. again waiting for s new tech and pinion. (It's been ridiculous with the strike) the steering for several months has been extremely sloppy causing the truck to wander and it's very unsafe. Over the last couple months there's a hesitation when stepping on the gas. As well as a loss in power while driving and far too much gas is required to get it going. The truck purrs when idling but it's losing power. I've stayed on top of the maintenance.. I've had everything checked. These electrical issues have become more than annoying. They are now unsafe, becoming very expensive and have resulted in my having to rent a vehicle. I see there have been many complaints over steering, transmission and electrical. It's time to do something about these unsafe issues

I first noticed jerking in my steering two days later the power assist failed. It was almost impossible to steer the vehicle. Luckily I was just leaving my drive. Next time I was in the vehicle the power assist for the steering worked fine, went online and found a video that makes the repair was a body to frame ground strap. This braided copper ground strap from frame to body is located right behind the passengers front wheel. It is subject to salt and corrosion. My vehicle only has 40,000 miles on it and I do have a picture of the failure cost me $10 to repair it shame on GM for putting this critical ground just behind the front tire exposed to salt and corrosion

There is a vibration that is randomly felt. Over the last year I have replaced struts shocks control arm control arm bushings sway bar link sway bar link bushings tires twice and the vibration just keeps increasing to the point it's doing it now when I turn or take bends in the highway. There is now a flat spot in a tire feel when going it slower speeds to be added to the vibration that happens later on obviously related. This is either from my understanding going to be axle or driveshaft it's going to get looked at today since there's nothing left underneath to repair. This has ruined a pair tires I bought last year for $1,500 in September and probably well on its way to ruining the tires that I've just put on last week for $2,400. There is a hesitation a lack of response and a vibration. As far as the electrical goes it makes this very weird buzzing sound very randomly it's only happened about four times it's loud and it can't be explained. Also sometimes the radio and the AC just turns on and there's no key in the car and I've had the door open for a few minutes. Sometimes after turning it off he'll turn everything off but turn it all back on again no key in. Sometimes I can turn the stereo off and it makes a whistling buzzing sound and it's not even on. As far as any light indicators on the dash for any of this no never had a one. I have completely taken care of this vehicle with the transmission flush and will changes and everything that it's supposed to have and I put a lot of money in it since I've had it in a year but I shouldn't have to on 2019 and it's still experiencing the same problems and I have plenty of documentation. Trailer brake service indication comes on constantly and cannot see speed use the radio or make a call. Already have changed the switch that they say is the problem, did not fix issues. Other mechanics on the internet are saying it's a wire harness between the switch and the module this needs to be replaced due to poor quality. We'll have a professional mechanic assess this but it looks like it's a common problem across the board. Please get GM to issue a recall on this because it becomes a safety issue, distraction and not able to read speed. Thanks

Rear Window Defroster Thermal Events. Using the rear windows defroster you can hear arching and smell electrical parting making bad or lose contact. I have found other truck from the same year, doing the same thing. NHTSA has a letter from the other truck and suvs in that range. But some how this truck is not on the list for recall.

So far it hasn't happened with Auto-Stop off, so it's an assumption that this is part of the issue. We come to a stop, the engine powers down (Auto-Stop) but all battery-powered features remain on. When we go to accelerate, everything completely loses power. It has taken up to 5 minutes to power back up. When this occurs, all we can do is open the door if it's unlocked - there is zero power to any part of the vehicle and there are no noises coming from anywhere. The vehicle is available for inspection on request. > How was your safety or the safety of others put at risk? - The vehicle loses all power. We cannot turn on hazard lights, brake lights to alert others in traffic that we're unable to move or start the vehicle. If there was a need to move the vehicle quickly, we would not be able to do so. Has the problem been reproduced or confirmed by a dealer or independent service center? - No, they're never able to reproduce the issue despite reporting it at least twice on service visits. Has the vehicle or component been inspected by the manufacturer, police, insurance representatives or others? - It has been inspected by the dealer. Were there any warning lamps, messages or other symptoms of the problem prior to the failure, and when did they first appear? - Not before it happens, but after the vehicle finally starts up, the dashboard message indicates we should roll the driver's window down and back up again. The touch screen controller is constantly going haywire. It’s very distracting while operating the vehicle. The screen will switch from maps that you are following by itself to the radio, home page or just freeze. The radio can’t be controlled, the Wi-Fi and satellite systems switch on and off at random. 2019 Chevy Silverado RST turbo. 46K miles. Truck would feel like it skipped a gear a few times for a few months; I chalked it up to needing a new air filter. Had that and the oil changed. Ran normal for about 3 weeks. Check engine light came on and began flashing, service esc and service parking brake lights came on. Truck would vibrate while at an idle. Truck would not get up and go and when it go to 30mph, it would violently shake and stutter. Changed the 4 spark plugs, with number 4 being the worst, then 1, then 2 and 3. Mind you, the truck only has 46K miles. Got them replaced, removed the negative battery terminal to reset the codes and now the heat isn't working.

Lost all power steering and brake pedal did not work properly. Could not steer vehicle at all even using both hands on steering wheel. I shut off the truck, turned it back on and "service power steering" light came on the dashboard. Steering did not work at all so I shut it off. Called dealer to report problem and left a message to call me back.( I did not hear back from the dealer.) After a short period of time, I restarted the truck and the service light was still on, but the steering and brakes were working so I drove it home. I took it to the dealership on Sept 5th to explain what happened. They pulled up 8 codes from the truck and made me an appt for sept 8th. They informed me that there was a wire chafing problem with this particular truck, but upon inspection on the 8th, they said they could not find a bad wire. They told me to drive it until it happens again! Not being able to steer or brake are DEFINITELY SAFETY issues !

I have a 2019 Chevy Silverado 1500 that has been well taken care of. I got into my truck and went to start it and a bunch of warning lights appeared stating brake system failure, service ESC, traction control off and 4WD off. The check engine light also came on with multiple other warning lights. I had a family member jump my truck and I was able to make it home. I hooked it up to my code reader and it showed- P25A2 Brake System Control Module 1. This has been a known issue and has been recalled twice for about 550,000 of the 2019 Silverado 1500, but my VIN isn’t included, even though it’s clearly having the same issue. The fix is to have the brake system reprogrammed by the dealership. Since my VIN isn’t listed I’m not getting any help with the issue.

On multiple occasions while using an Apple phone that is connected to the vehicle via the USB port. While on a phone call, the call will drop, and the radio will turn up to full volume and will not shut off until the entire vehicle is pulled over and completely powered off. During the most recent event the radio did not shutoff even after vehicle was parked and powered down. It eventually shut off after the autotimer shut down all of the accessories power after the timeout time. The volume blast has happened twice in heavy metro Detroit, rush hour traffic. The volume level is extraordinarily distracting & when on the expressway, its nearly impossible to find a safe or practical place to power down the vehicle to reset the radio. The vehicle has been taken to the dealer to "flash" the radio, however it has not repaired the problem.

I bought the truck in Oct. of 2019 with 5000 miles on it. I have taken it to several service shops since then. I have told every one of those shops fro 2019 to present that there was something wrong with the truck. There has always been a hard clanking noise in the rear end. It always feels like it's in 4 wheel drive. It has never shifted right. When pulling a load it fells like it jumps in and out of gear. And when shifting from reverse to drive it clanks in the rear end. It feels like there is a brake dragging because when I let off the grass it will practically stop itself and it sound like a wheel cylinder is going out. Sometimes I have to push the start/stop engine button 2 to 3 times before the truck will shut off. The screen of the radio goes black sometimes. The rear tires don't turn when in 4 low. The tail gate doesn't lift like it's supposed to. The heater isn't right when you turn the defrost on it blows out at you feet. And when it remote started the heater doesn't always come on. All the reportes can be seen through the Chevrolet dealerships or OnStar. It has been taken to several different dealerships since 2019 when I bought it.

I have had several check engine codes on my truck. From what what the dealership tech put in his notes there is a bulletin on this. So, gm recognizes this is an issue. The dealership had to replace several wires on my ECM wiring harness due to damage from rubbing against the harness bracket. I feel that gm should issue a recall to fix the rubbing on the harness and I feel gm should have to replace the whole harness not just the damaged wires. I feel this is a hazard for these vehicles do to being on the internet state. I feel it will cause catastrophic injuries to the occupant as well as other drivers. It's hard to guess what that would cause the truck to do especially since everything is connected to the ECM.

There were no warning lights illuminated. The contact stated that while reversing, the brake pedal was depressed but went all the way to the floorboard and hesitated to respond. Service Trailer Brake System - warning code is displayed every time the vehicle is started and must be dismissed. This does not allow for safe towing and braking. Social media has displayed numerous other Chevy Trucks with this problem and have stated "cheap wire harness." This needs to be replaced by the manufacture for using cheap materials.

ABS Brake Assist Module failed. Warning lights and indicators alerted the problem and the vehicle lost power assist braking. I was able to drive the vehicle to the local dealership as the warning message on the dash indicated the vehicle could not exceed 40 MPH with manual braking. Service tech diagnosed the module had failed, stated they are beginning to see this issue in more and more 2019 vehicles.

History I-- Prior to July 2021, never heard this noise. Beginning in mid-July 2021 with a mileage of approximately 3400 miles, the radio would blare full volume upon starting the vehicle. This occurred sporadically at first, but the event would happen more often as time went by. The protocol used for shutting down the vehicle is as follows: a.Place gear shifter in Park. b.Engage electronic brakes. c.Completely turn off Climate system. dCompletely turn off Entertainment Console (Audio, et cetera). c.Turn off exterior lights. f.Turn off engine. g.Remove FOB with person. h.Exit vehicle and shut door(s). i.Engage locking and alarm systems twice with FOB. The Settings for the Vehicle Sounds is zero volume and no button feedback. Therefore, the radio should NOT activate except when engaged manually, and certainly not when the vehicle is starting and certainly not at full volume. I looked at the dash, no warning lights, gauges still working, transmission in drive, I stood on the brake pedal, no effect, I put the transmission in park, no effect, I engaged the parking brake, no effect other than the parking brake warning light came on. We had rolled back approximately 50 feet. I looked in my rearview mirror and observed a car approaching. Luckily he/she saw my problem and stopped. Things suddenly started coming back to life and came to a gentle stop. When I looked in my mirror I was so close to the car behind me all I could see was his windshield, no hood. I moved the transmission from park to drive and we continued on. I have contacted the dealer and they are attempting to determine what happened. However, I am afraid this will happen to someone else who may not be as lucky as I was or that it may happen to me again. I pull a 5th wheel trailer with this truck.

The infotainment system on the 2019 Chevy Silverado fails when a passenger is using Carplay. While using Carplay for hands-free operation of a cellular device and or navigation the system will reboot continuously. Just prior to the system failures to begin the turn signals will begin to operate sporadically. They will either stay on solid, off, or blink at an uneven interval. These system reboots create a safety issue as this forces the driver to take their eyes off of the road and physically disconnect and reconnect the cellular device. By having to take my eyes off of the road to deal with the system rebooting this takes attention away and creates a safety issue for myself and all others on the road. One incident I had to slam on the brakes after looking back up and seeing that traffic had come to a sudden stop. The unit has been replaced by the dealership one time thus far and the BCM computer has been replaced once as well. This has not resolved the issues. This is also not limited to my specific vehicle. There are hundreds of other owners reporting the same issues. The problem was reproduced by one technician at the dealership but has not been reproduced by them since. (They all have Android devices minus the one tech. This is a Carplay issue.) This has occurred more than 100 separate times on this vehicle beginning in November of 2019.

The contact owns a 2019 Chevrolet Silverado 1500. The contact stated that the first day she drove the vehicle after it was delivered to her from Hawaii, the brake pedal was depressed and made abnormal ticking sounds. There were no warning lights illuminated. The vehicle was not diagnosed nor repaired by an independent mechanic or dealer. The contact stated that the failure recurred and the message "Check the Brake Pad" appeared on the instrument panel. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 19V814000 (Seat Belts), 19V888000 (Electrical System), 20V792000 (Seat Belts) and 19V889000 (Service Brakes, Hydraulic, Service Brakes, Electronic Stability Control) however, there were no dealers in American Samoa to perform the recall repairs. The dealer in Hawaii was made aware of the failure and referred the contact to the manufacturer. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure but provided no assistance. The vehicle was not repaired. The approximate failure mileage was 70.

Stanley Chevy in Mccordsville looked at it this morning and said they have to order a bunch of parts for it, including new leaf springs for a truck that is less than 2 years old…never have heard of such a thing.

Approximately 1 minute after startup, on a 85* plus day, with the vehicle sitting in the sun, the following failure alarms are displayed on the dash StabiliTrack failure Trailer Braking System failure Steering assist is reduced, caution should be used while driving. Sitting in Park, the steering wheel jerks - untouched Reduced Engine Power warning is displayed All analog gauges go to 0 and bounce on and off Check Engine Light illuminates StabiliTrak warning light illuminated AC disabled If this occurs while driving The engine runs rough, especially just off idle. Putting the transmission in L5 to eliminate AFM, does not help. While driving the truck has experienced Loss of engine power, almost stalled Total loss of power assist steering Near zero manual steering capability. StabiliTrak warning light will often go off after ~ 30 minutes The Check Engine light will remain on after failure but will go out when the vehicle sits overnight" Failure not imminent when the truck has been in the shade

I was given a 2019 Chevy Silverado and when I turned the truck off the shift to park light would stay on and in February the brakes froze with the bad freeze when it thawed the brakes just started locking up by them selves I could not get over 5-6 mph so I made an app with dealership took it in told them what it was doing they had it a week they replaced shifter handle and bolt and reset codes I get the truck back did not have it 24 hrs I was leaving where I was fishing that morning I was going maybe 40 mph when the abs and other lights came on on dash and the brakes locked up again sending me sliding about 60 yards when I ended up in a ditch I tried to get out and the truck would not move so I get out and look to see my front passenger tire completely broke off folding up under truck. No one else was involved I automatically called dealership told them what happen filed a crash report and tow truck took truck back to dealership I contacted GM snd they sent an investigator to look at it but denied my claim said it was not a Manufactur defect.. so no one is wanting to fix my truck now it’s still under warranty with less than 19000 miles on it... and if I was to pay out my pocket to fix it I feel that it will happen again cause the freeze did something to the electrical brake system.. the truck is a year and 4 mts old. Paid cash for it and not I can’t even drive it..

Brake sensor went off,lights stayed on inside cab,radio screen and lights inside went out,tailgate went down while being driven and tools etc were lost. Radio came on and changed channels non stop for almost an hour even after shutting vehicle off 4 timea. After 8 hrs it was back to normal.

THIS ISSUE HAS HAPPENED AGAIN AND MY VEHICLE IS BACK AT THE DEALERSHIP ONCE AGAIN ON 3/29. IT WAS STATED THAT GM WILL HAVE TO ADVISE THE TECH ON WHAT TO DO FOR A PERMANENT FIX. CAR CAN BE DRIVEN BUT THERE IS NO ABILITY TO USE RADIO, HANDS FREE PHONE, MAPS FROM PHONE OR BACK UP CAMERA. ONLY FIX IS TO RUN THE VEHICLE FOR AT LEAST FIVE MINUTES, REMOVE THE KEY AND OPEN AND CLOSE THE DOOR. AFTER ABOUT A MINUTE THE INSTRUMENTS SHUT DOWN. OPENING AND CLOSING THE DOOR WILL RESET THE DISPLAY AND AGAIN IT WILL FUNCTION NORMALLY. 2 BACKUP CAMERA SHUTS OFF WHILE BACKING UP. 3 ENTIRE DISPLAY SHUTS DOWN AND RESTARTS WHILE VEHICLE IS MOVING. SCREEN FREQUENTLY WENT BLANK AND WOULD ALSO GIVE 'SERVICE REAR VISION SYSTEM' ERROR. 01/09/20 BACKUP CAMERA SYSTEM CONTINUES TO FLASH, GO BLANK, AND GIVE ERROR MESSAGE. DEALERSHIP STATED CAMERA WAS TESTED AND FUNCTIONING AS INTENDED. 10/22/20 SAME ISSUES PERSIST WITH BACKUP CAMERA SYSTEM. DEALERSHIP VERIFIED PROBLEM AND REPLACED CAMERA ASSEMBLY ON 12/14/20. 01/27/21 SAME PROBLEMS PERSIST. DEALERSHIP UPDATED SYSTEM AND CLAIMED NOT TO BE ABLE TO REPRODUCE PROBLEM. WHILE PICKING UP VEHICLE FLASHING OCCURRED BEFORE I EVEN LEFT THE LOT. DEALERSHIP REQUESTED I REMOVE AMP (INSTALLED LONG AFTER PROBLEMS STARTED OCCURRING; HAVE DOCUMENTATION) BEFORE FURTHER DIAGNOSTICS COULD BE PERFORMED. 02/26/21 DEALERSHIP SAID THEY CHECKED OTHER TRUCKS IN THEIR LOT WHICH HAVE THE SAME ISSUE. SAYS A VOLTAGE DROP IN THE ELECTRICAL SYSTEM IS WHAT'S CAUSING THE ISSUE AND STATED THERE IS NO FIX BECAUSE THIS IS A NORMAL OPERATION. 03/05/21 PROBLEMS PERSIST. DEALERSHIP BUILT A NEW ELECTRICAL HARNESS AND REPLACED RADIO SYSTEM. PROBLEM STILL CONTINUES. 03/09/21 TALKED TO GM CUSTOMER CARE. THEY STATE THE SAFETY ISSUE WITH THE BACKUP CAMERA FLASHING AND GOING BLANK IS 'OPERATING AS DESIGNED.' 03/11/21 CUSTOMER CARE STATED VEHICLE IS PERFORMING PROPERLY AND AS EXPECTED EVEN THOUGH BACK UP CAMERA SYSTEM STILL HAVING PROBLEMS. SAYS THERE'S NOTHING ELSE THEY WILL DO FOR ME TO FIX THE ISSUE AT THIS TIME.

WHILE DRIVING TO SCHOOL WHICH IS APPROX 70 MILES FROM MY HOUSE, I WAS APPROX 10 MILES FROM MY END LOCATION AND HAD BEEN DRIVING FOR 1 HOUR AND 15 MINUTES WITHOUT ISSUES. I WAS DRIVING ON I-70 AT 75 MPH WHEN THE TRUCK COMPLETELY SHUT DOWN. THE ENGINE SHUT OFF, BRAKES WENT OUT, STEERING LOCKED, ALL ELECTRICAL SHUT OFF. THE TRUCK WAS DEAD FOR APPROX 4 SECONDS WHEN IT KICKED BACK ON ON ITS OWN. THE TRUCK CONTINUED DOWN THE ROAD LIKE NOTHING HAD HAPPENED. THE TRUCK DID THE SAME THING ABOUT 3 MILES AFTER THE FIRST TIME THE TRUCK DIED. THERE WERE NO MORE INCIDENTS DURING THAT TRIP. LATER THAT SAME DAY I WAS PULLING INTO KROGER PARKING LOT TURNING INTO A PARKING SPOT AT ABOUT 5 MPH WHEN THE TRUCK COMPLETELY SHUT DOWN AGAIN. THE TRUCK WAS DEAD FOR APPROX 3-5 SECONDS EACH TIME WITH COMPLETELY SHUTDOWN BEFORE COMPLETELY RESTARTING ON ITS OWN AND CONTINUING LIKE NOTHING HAPPENED.

THE FIRE MARSHAL DID AN INSPECTION AND INDICATED IT WAS LIKELY AN ELECTRICAL FIRE NEAR THE TAILGATE/HITCH/LICENSE PLATE.

ELECTRICAL ISSUE: POWER MIRRORS; WHEN POWER MIRRORS ARE FOLDING INWARD MIRRORS DO NOT CLOSE AT THE SAME TIME, STARTED THE DAY I DROVE OFF THE LOT. AS TIME HAS PASSED IT NOW HAS BECOME AN EVEN LARGER ISSUE, THE POWER MOTOR IN MIRROR RUNS CONTINUALLY AFTER IT HAS BEEN OPEN OR CLOSED AS WELL AS MIRROR TILTING WHEN IN REVERSE. VERY DISTRACTING. 3. COLLISION CENSOR: ISSUE STARTED WITHIN LAST 90 DAYS; I CAN BE DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD/ HIGHWAY AT ANY TIME WITH NO OTHER OBSTACLES IN MY AREA, NOTHING AROUND MY TRUCK ON ANY OF THE FOUR SIDES,TRUCK WILL SOUND WARNING ALARM AS WELL AS THE DISPLAY IN THE DASH. I MAKE SURE ALL CENSORS ARE ALL CLEAN OF ANY DIRT-ICE-SNOW, VERY TROUBLING WHEN DRIVING AS IT MAKES ONE THINK THERE IS ON COMING OBSTACLES.

ONE WEEK AFTER BUYING THE TRUCK IN OCTOBER 2019 AN ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON REGARDING THE BREAK SYSTEM, TOO THE TRUCK IN AND IN A FEW DAYS I HAD IT BACK AFTER REPROGRAMING THE COMPUTER. 27 JAN 2021 AFTER LEAVING WORK THE BREAKS FELT STRANGE BUT WITH NO ALERT I WENT ON HOME. COMING UP TO A TRAFFIC LIGHT I TRIED TO STOP THE TRUCK BUT HAD NO BREAKS, I PROCEEDED THROUGH ANOTHER RED LIGHT WITH NO BREAKS PUMPING THE BREAK PEDDLE I FINALLY HAD A LITTLE BREAK AND GOT THE TRUCK PULLED OVER. I TURNED OFF THE TRUCK AND CALLED THE DEALERSHIP WITH NO ANSWER. I CALLED AND HAD MY WIFE TO COME PICK ME UP, SHE ARRIVED AND WE DECIDED TO TRY AND START THE TRUCK AND SEE IF THE BREAKS WOULD HOLD. WE DID MAKE IT TO THE DEALERSHIP AND THEY HAVE HAD THE TRUCK FOR TWO DAYS WITH NO REAL ANSWER AS TO WHAT IS GOING ON! I CALLED SEVEN TIMES 28 JAN AND FINALLY HAD TO GO SEE WHAT WAS GOING ON ALL I GOT WAS WE ARE WORKING ON IT. CALLED THREE TIMES JAN 29 WITH NO REPLY AND HAD TO STOP BY AND I THEY WOULD TELL ME WAS THAT IS WAS A MODULE AND CODING ISSUE. I ASKED FOR A LOAN VEHICLE AND THEY SAID THEY WOULD LOOK INTO IT AND RESPOND IN THE AFTERNOON...WE SHALL SEE VERY VERY FRUSTRATING.

THE TRUCK HAS HAD THE BATTERY DIE A FEW TIMES OVER THE PAST COUPLE WEEKS FOR NO APPARENT REASON. THEN WE LET IT SIT FOR A WEEK AND GO TO START IT AND ALL OF OUR WARNING LIGHTS COME ON AND LOTS OF WARNINGS START FLASHING ACROSS THE SCREEN STATING REDUCED ENGINE OUTPUT, ETC. THE TRUCK WON'T START. WE HOOK IT UP TO MY HUSBANDS WORK VAN TO CHARGE THE BATTERY (PER THE REQUEST OF THE DEALER) AND IT FINALLY STARTS, BUT WHEN IT STARTS, THE ENTIRE INSTRUMENT CLUSTER WAS OUT. WE COULDN'T SEE ANYTHING. WE LET IT SIT OVERNIGHT AND STARTED IT AGAIN THE NEXT DAY AND STILL NOTHING ON THE INSTRUMENT CLUSTER. THE DEALER SENT A TOW TO PICK IT UP. THE LOOK IT OVER AND CAN'T FIND ANYTHING WRONG WITH IT. THEY DISCONNECT THE BATTERY, RECONNECT THE BATTERY AND NOW SAY IT'S FINE. AN ISSUE HAS BEEN DETECTED IN THE ENGINE ELECTRICAL SYSTEM, INCLUDING THE CHARGING AND STARTING SYSTEM THAT MONITORS AND CONTROLS THE ENGINE STARTING SYSTEM AND 12V BATTERY CHARGING SYSTEM. IF THE CHARGE SYSTEM LIGHT STAYS ON, OR COMES ON WHILE DRIVING, THERE MAY BE A PROBLEM WITH THE ELECTRICAL CHARGING SYSTEM. DRIVING WHILE THIS LIGHT IS ON COULD DRAIN THE BATTERY. SEVERAL OTHER LIGHTS CAME ON AS WELL, TC, BREAK TOWING ECT. A MESSAGE STATING USE CAUTION, DO NOT DRIVE OVER 62 MPH ALSO CAME ON. FINALLY WITH EVERYTHING I HAD I GOT IT TO STOP. I HAD TO GET THE VEHICLE HOME CAUSE IT WAS SUNDAY SO I PUT ON MY FLASHERS DROVE LESS THAN 30MPH AND GOT IT HOME THANK GOODNESS WITHOUT CAUSING A WRECK. HAD IT TOWED BACK TO ANOTHER DEALER AND YOU KNOW THIS DEALER BLAMED THE OTHER DEALER SAID THEY DIDNT DO SOMETHING RIGHT AND THEY JUST RESET THE SYSTEM. THE CONTACT STATED THAT A NEW ACTUATOR WAS INSTALLED HOWEVER, THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE CONTACT ALSO STATED THAT THE DEFOGGER ACTIVATED INDEPENDENTLY ON SEVERAL OCCASIONS. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND INFORMED THE CONTACT THAT THE VEHICLE PERFORMED AS DESIGNED. A CASE WAS FILED WITH THE MANUFACTURER. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 18,000.

I BELIEVE THIS IS A EXTREMELY DANGEROUS SAFETY ISSUE CONSIDERING CHILDREN ARE OFTEN RIDING BIKES OR PLAYING ON THE SIDEWALK I'M BACKING ACROSS THE ENTER MY DRIVEWAY. A $52K TRUCK SHOULD HAVE A CAMERA /INFOTAINMENT SCREEN OF BETTER QUALITY THAN THIS. THIS TECHNOLOGY HAS BEEN OUT LONG ENOUGH TO HAVE HD QUALITY AS A STANDARD FEATURE. GM SHOULD MAKE THIS RIGHT OR I'M SURE THERE WILL BE A LOT OF NEW FORD CUSTOMERS IN THE COMING YEARS.

SO BRIGHT YOU CAN'T SEE OUT BACK WINDOW AND THE PASSENGERS SIDE MIRROR IT'S LIKE THE INTERIOR LIGHTS ARE ON, THERE IS NO BRIGHTNESS ADJUSTMENT FOR CAMERA DEFAULTS TO FULL BRIGHT, YOU CAN'T EVEN TURN IT OFF (PROBABLY A STUPID RULE SOMEONE MADE THINKING ABOUT SAFETY BUT IT'S ACTUALLY UNSAFE IF YOU CAN'T SEE, IT'S VERY ANNOYING BUT MOST OF ALL UNSAFE BECAUSE YOU CAN'T SEE, I'VE BEEN DIVING FOR 35 YEARS AND THIS IS REDICULOUS MY OTHER VEHICLE 2016 HAS COMPLETE CONTROL OVER THE CAMERA AND BRIGHTNESS IT'S NOT A GM PRODUCT. GM SAYS THIS IS HOW IT IS, I AND MANY OTHER OWNERS AGREE THAT THIS IS A MAJOR SAFETY ISSUE IF YOU CAN'T SEE THE SIDES OF THE VEHICLE GM REALLY NEEDS TO ADD A BRIGHTNESS CONTROL FOR THE CAMERA THEY USED TO HAVE IT BUT IT'S BEEN REMOVED THIS LEADS ME TO BELIEVE THAT SOME AGENCY HAS DETERMINED OR CAME UP WITH RULES THAT DOESN'T ALLOW YOU TO TURN OFF BACKUP CAMERA OR CHANGE BRIGHTNESS IF THIS IS THE CASE THEY HAVE CREATED A SAFETY HAZARD IT'S UNREASONABLE TO NOT HAVE A CHOICE.

THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE AND PROVIDED CASE NUMBER: 9-5563675162. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 100.

ON JUNE 16TH 2019 I DROVE DOWN TO ATLANTA, GA FOR A BASEBALL GAME. MIDWAY I STOPPED FOR GAS. WHEN I TURNED BACK ON THE TRUCK, I REALIZED THAT I HAD LOST A AND IF I GET AN AMOUNT OF MY BRAKING ABILITY. HOWEVER, I HAD NO LIGHTS ON MU DASH TO INDICATE A FAILURE TO THE BRAKING SYSTEM. I READ ON A GM FORUM THAT OTHER OWNERS EXPERIENCED THE PROBLEM, TURNED OFF THE VEHICLE FOR 30 MINS, TURNED BACK ON THE VEHICLE AND THE BRAKES WORKED AGAIN. THEY, HOWEVER, HAD LIGHTS INDICATING A BRAKE FAILURE. I FOLLOWED THE FORUMS SUGGESTIONS AND AFTER 30 MINS WITH MY TRUCK OFF, I DROVE THE TRUCK AGAIN AND HAD NO FURTHER ISSUES. I TOOK THE VEHICLE INTO THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT, BUT AS I EXPECTED THEY COULD NOT REPLICATE THE ISSUE. I WANTED TO START A PAPER TRAIL THOUGH INCASE THE ISSUE REOCCURRED. ON JULY 10TH THE SAME BRAKING ISSUE OCCURRED AGAIN. THIS TIME I WAS NEAR MY DEALERSHIP IN GREENVILLE, SC. I TOOK THE VEHICLE TO THE DEALERSHIP AND THEY WERE ABLE TO CONFIRM A LOSS OF OVER 50% OF BRAKING BUT NO LIGHTS OR CHECK ENGINE CODE (PAST OR PRESENT) INDICATING A BRAKE FAILURE. I AM VERY CONCERNED AND BELIEVE THIS TRUCK IS UNSAFE BECAUSE OF THE BRAKING ISSUES AND LACK OF CONFIRMATION OF SERVICE LIGHTS ON THE TRUCK DASH. IT IS A DEATH TRAP. THEY ARE NOT ABLE TO CONFIRM A FIX EITHER DUE TO NOT HAVING A SERVICE ERROR CODE TO FIX AND TURN OFF. VEHICLE WAS IN MOTION WHEN ISSUES OCCURRED BOTH TIMES. ON BOTH OCCASION AS, SERIOUS CAR ACCIDENTS ALMOST HAPPENED DUE TO LACK OF BRAKING ABILITY.

THIS HAS HAPPENED THREE TIMES SINCE BUYING THE VEHICLE NEW I HAD NOT HAD THE VEHICLE FOR A MONTH WHEN ALL THE ISSUE STARTED TO HAPPEN. WHEN I LOOSE THE POWER STEERING THE POWER FOR BRAKES GO OUT AS WELL I HAVE ALMOST BEEN IN AN ACCIDENT BECAUSE OF THIS IT'S A VERY SCARY SITUATION WHEN IT HAPPENS. AFTER ALL THE WARNING LIGHTS WOULD COME ON, POWER RUNNING BOARDS WOULD ALSO CYCLE UP AND DOWN ON THERE OWN, THE ONLY LIGHT THAT WOULD STAY ON WAS: SERVICE TRAILER BRAKE SYSTEM.

PULLING OUT OF A GAS STATION ONTO A HIGHWAY MY DASH DISPLAY SHOWED "SERVICE POWER STEERING DRIVE WITH CARE" I NOTICED I HAD NO POWER ASSIST TO MY STEERING AND THE STEERING WAS EXTREMELY HARD TO STEER AT BEST. I ALSO RECEIVED THE MESSAGE "SERVICE ECS" AT THIS POINT I HAD LITTLE CONTROL OF THE DIRECTION THE VEHICLE WAS GOING AND MANAGED TO PULL OVER. I ALSO NOTICED THE FOLLOWING FUNCTIONS STOPPED WORKING, CRUISE CONTROL, TRACTION CONTROL, LANE ASSIST, AUTO STOP, ETC. I LET THE VEHICLE SIT ABOUT 20 MINUTES AND RESTARTED. NO ERRORS REMAINED AND I WENT ON MY WAY. SCARY SITUATION TO BE IN ON A HIGHWAY.

EACH TIME THEY FLASH ON THEY CAUSE ME TO LOOK DOWN AT THE INSTRUMENT PANEL. I AM CONCERNED THIS DISTRACTION WILL CAUSE ME TO GET IN AN ACCIDENT. THERE IS NOTHING I CAN DO TO TURN THEM OFF. THESE WARNINGS RANDOMLY APPEAR WHENEVER THE VEHICLE IS RUNNING, BE IT STATIONARY, IN MOTION, ON A CITY STREET OR A HIGHWAY, TURNING, BRAKING, PULLING A TRAILER, NOT PULLING A TRAILER. THIS SAFETY RISK HAS BEEN ONGOING EVER SINCE I PURCHASED THE VEHICLE NEW ONE MONTH AGO. I LIVE IN MINNESOTA. I HAVE BROUGHT THE VEHICLE TO A DEALERSHIP FOR REPAIRS TWICE, BUT THE PROBLEM PERSISTS. I HAVE BEEN TOLD THAT GM HAS BEEN AWARE OF THE ISSUE SINCE LAST FALL, BUT HAS FAILED TO RESOLVE THE PROBLEM.
