The oil cooler line was un-lodged from the metal crimp that secures it while I was pulling away causing total loss of all engine oil in a matter of seconds. Not only does the car immediately tell you to turn your car off to avoid catastrophic engine failure, but this is also dangerous for other drivers as the oil may cause a hazard for controlling the vehicle going through the oil.
Unknown, ESC , traction control, service brake. The truck stop and those 2 codes shows and is on but doesn’t it move

My 2019 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 with the 5.3L engine developed a severe tick, misfire, and rough idle at only 93,000 miles. This was diagnosed as a collapsed AFM lifter on Cylinder 2. GM 5.3L AFM lifter failure is extremely common in these trucks and causes sudden loss of power, misfires, and unsafe driving conditions. This is a known widespread defect, yet GM has not issued a recall. The failure happened without warning and required major engine disassembly. This should be investigated as a safety and reliability issue.
Transmission-Has always shuddered and hesitates when shifting. Problem seems to get worse. Dealer had no answer except try flushing transmission. I read this is an inherent problem.
On 6/4/2025 while driving my truck, I noticed smoke coming out of vents of the front passenger side of vehicle. I got out of truck and went to open passenger door to investigate and the engine ignited. A neighbor called 911 and the local fire department responded. I contacted my insurance company. They had the truck towed so their investigators could examine it. The cause was classified as indeterminate and the truck was declared a total loss. The truck had approximately 51,000 miles at the time of the incident and was well maintained, with new tires and no known mechanical issues or warning lights prior to the fire. The fire occurred while driving on a road seven miles from my home.
2019 Chevrolet Silverado 1500, VIN [XXX] . Purchased in 2020 from McLarty Chevrolet Little Rock, AR. Dealer, Russell Chevrolet Sherwood, AR installed remanufactured engine 03/13/2025 at Russell Chevrolet (Service Order [XXX]). Since installation of engine and last time I got it out of the shop on 8/1/25, repeated safety-critical failures: check engine light comes on/loses power/shuts off at intersections, have to push to safe place on the side of interstate or exit, wait 30-45 minutes before start waiting. Most recent 5 Breakdowns while on vacation in Florida: [XXX] Pensacola, FL in the garage, [XXX] Perdido Keys at traffic light, Flowood MS, [XXX] at a major high light, Pine Bluff AR, [XXX], [XXX] , [XXX] at traffic light. Four+ dealer visits, problem persists, unsafe to operate, major business loss. Attached documentation shows repeated failed repairs and out-of-pocket costs paying $963.73 per month to Wells Fargo. GM refuses to cover catalytic converter recall 20V-005 despite matching VIN/build criteria. Failure occurred at 88k, but dealer refused service at the time. I'm now driving it at 108k. Private garage confirmed it's critically plugged.
I have a 2019 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 LT and I am having issues with the transmission bucking, hesitating, slipping. I am also having issues with the variable timing system. The variable timing system started acting up last year and when I took it to the dealer they replaced it and I was charged over $400 for it to be repaired. It happened again the beginning of this year and I took it back to the dealer. They told me the oil was dirty and suggested an oil change to fix the issue. I had the oil change done and now I am having the same problem again and have already had the oil changed. I need help since I am paying for a vehicle that is sitting in my driveway not being able to be used. There are 6 codes that have popped up including the variable timing system, cylinder 4 misfire, brake system, and I'm not exactly sure what the other ones are.
The transmission does not shift smoothly. It actually will lurch forward after a stop at a sign or traffic light. It hesitates upon acceleration. I find it unerving and possibly dangerous. It was fixed by the dealer on October 22, 2024 and was good for 6 months but has started to do the same thing again.
Sliding rear window leaks in 3 spots. Leak poses the safety risk of mold growth inside the vehicle along with the potential of water getting inside of electrical components and air bag device compartments. The problem was reproduced and confirmed at the dealership, to which the plastic seal at the top of the rear window was confirmed to have failed in 3 locations. Dealership recommended replacing the entire back window and assembly with what they believe to be the same window assembly that failed. The only inspection completed on the vehicle to date has been the dealership GM certified technicians. Musty smell after rain and observed staining on the headliner is when the issue was first identified.
Getting a Shift to park message on dash screen also getting radio to be unresponsive (like the screen is frozen) also puts a message of no information detected
It’s been draining the battery every couple of days, sometimes the screen won’t turn off it just stays on but black it won’t even play the radio the tailgate won’t open most of the time the dashboard is been over heating it gets extremely hot I tough it was just Texas weather but on winter days was hotter than normal when I put it in park it won’t it keeps beeping and showing a message to put packing on sometimes you can hear a very thin noise coming from the dashboard ..transmission vibrates over 50-60 mph
I was driving down the road and my oil lines from my engine to my oil cooler exploded and oil went everywhere. I turned off the truck immediately. I started looking around and there is a Bulletin (N192220080) addressing this issue with my make model and year vehicle but my VIN was not included. I called GM and they said since this was issued by NHTSA they have to be the ones to update the bulletin or issue a new one if this is happening on more vehicles.

Was at a red light after a very short drive, as soon as the light turned green I let off break hit gas and felt a huge kick that felt as if I was rear ended. I let off the gas and another big kick happened. Check engine light came on and dashboard read “Service ECS and Service parking break”. Truck would not accelerate and I was stuck in the middle of a very busy intersection. Turned truck off turned back on and it allowed me to at least accelerate and get out of the intersection but the truck was revving at high RPMs and not going faster than 20mph. I’m assuming truck went into limp mode. Got truck to mechanic where they said all the codes were TRANSMISSION CODES. Truck was then towed to Monterey transmissions in Stuart, FL where they stated it was confirmed a new transmission would be need. They explained that there is a recall for 462 thousand 2019 chevy Silverado 1500s. But my VIN is not associated with this claim. Why? When I have the same valve body that has been religiously failing on all other 2019 Chevy Silverado’s. All this occurred on [XXX]. Vehicle will be available for inspection as it is undriveable. I had known transmission problems resulting in $5974 repairs. I consider this an extreme safety issue. Had the transmission failed in heavy traffic, it would present a dangerous situation for both me and others near me. This is a known issue by GM, nothing is being done to correct this problem.
Pulling an enclosed trailer with my 2019 Chevy PU. Stopped at a gas station and discovered the tailgate had dropped down while driving. Making the turn into the gas station with the trailer in tow creased the tailgate considerably by the jack on the trailer. Thankfully nothing was noticed missing from the truck bed that was needed for our trip. Very unhappy for the faulty tailgate opening while traveling. Request contact for repair as I see there are recalls on this matter but not my truck when indeed it did happen.
The rear view camera mounted in the tailgate of my truck displays a distorted and fuzzy display on the video display, when in reverse gear. When I select reverse gear and it's at night, the light at the top center of the tailgate, intended to illuminate the tow hitch, is so bright that it bleaches any view from the screen. I'd suggest the light be on a separate switch to be used only for actually hitching to a trailer. The display shows the guiding marks where the truck will go and it is bleached from view also. This is a hazard because the view is so blurry, nothing of value is displayed. I mentioned this to the dealer's service manager, where I purchased this truck, used, and he said that the camera would have to be replace or at least removed from the tailgate and cleaned and resealed. I noticedd this imperfection upon delivery as a used truck and since it's out of the warranty period i will wait to have it repaired. Thank you..
IT'S BEEN 3 TIMES I HAVE HAD A RECALL ON THE BRAKES AND THEY CHARGED ME FOR THE DIAGNOSIS THAT RETURNED p25a2 AND THEY WANT TO CHARGE ME FOR FIXING SOMETHING THAT WENT WRONG SINCE MANUFACTURING MY TRUCK ONLY HAS 6,000 MILES IT SKIDS A LOUD SOUND IS HEARD DOWN AND WHEN I BRAKE FOR A LITTLE MORE AND I CRASH 3 TIMES
I have 2019 chevy silverado 1500 that only has 38000 miles and bought it at 34000 miles. I drive it 20 miles if that to work and back only and use my wifes cars another chevy on weekends family car. One morning i turned it on and it stated no oil pressure to turn car off. I did as it stated lifted the hood and can tell the oil cooler line/hose came off due to the latch bracket not holding. Thank God i wasnt on the highway in dfw traffic could have caused an accident. Low and behold many hundreds of complaints with the same vehicle and issue has been filed with Gm motors. While in alaska and canada the exact same issue is recalled but not the united states of America! Please help as i cannot replace an engine in this time today with a family over an issue many hundreds of chevy owners are having. Its an obvious recall and part thats not up to the law or standards.
Sliding Back window of 2019 and newer GMC pickups are experiencing issues with defects on the plastic connecting to the back window. They are cracking and allowing water to enter vehicle and down to carpet possibly creating mold. They have fixed mine one time already and the fix lasted for a little over 2 years. and just my truck was in the shop again for over a week and it’s the same issue . Advising they will not cover it under extended warranty . The is a health concern and GMC knows about it and will not do anything to rectify the problem
This 2019 Silverado pickup truck lurched forward on 2 different occasions. The first time it lurched forward, it was in a parking lot and no damage was done to the truck or any other vehicle. The second time our 2019 Silverado pickup truck lurched forward I was turning around at a farm. The truck hit a wooden building on the farm and did damage to it and our truck did damage the front end of the truck to the tune of $3,474.00. If someone was in front of the truck, they would have been killed or seriously injured. We have been very careful with the truck ever since. We could pull it into our garage and it could lurch forward and go through the garage wall.
Rear defrost is causing a loud hissing/arcing sound. After leaving the defrost on for a short period of time, I could see smoke forming near the bottom left corner of the window. This is concerning because defrost is turned on automatically when the truck is started and it is cold outside. I see that many other people have reported the same issue on their 2019 Silverado 1500 when reading in the GM forum. In many reported cases, it will either catch on fire or completely shatter the window. I was told by my dealer that since my truck is outside of warranty, they would not cover the repair. This should be a safety recall covered outside of warranty period. GM has yet to announce a safety recall on this issue.
My rear window was leaking and repaired by the dealer in 2020 . Then in November of 2023 I noticed the water again in the cab I noticed stains and mold in the cab the vehicle now had 42,000 miles the dealer said the truck was out of warranty so I would have to pay out of pocket or make an insurance claim . This is a health and safety concern if the window sealant can crack it can potentially pop out if the windows are open at higher speeds due to the pressure in the cab. Also General Motors does not want to acknowledge or accept full responsibility for the window or the mold and water damage!
Truck developed leak in rear window area, which will create mold in the vehicle, making it unsafe to be in. Took it into Chevrolet dealer and told it was third brake light leak a known issue with a TSB. First told will need window replaced also, but then they changed to the reseal window (see quote attached). They "repaired" the leak, then same day it was still leaking. I returned to dealer (same day); now told I need to replace window as per a TSB! Another $1K cost to me. GM knows about this problem but is placing the cost on the customer. These trucks are not safe to be in, if mold develops.
The rear sliding window structure is faulty and this is well documented through complaints. The structure surrounding the rear sliding window is not strong enough to stand normal wear and tear. This is documented in [XXX] . The supplier produced poor quality material. Was it the suppliers fault or GM's specifications? The water leakage can cause damage to the rear seat and floor board which can cause mold and mildew to form, causing a health issue. This happened to this vehicle. Because of this known problem which GM gets away with the consumer has to foot the bill. The dealership has to send this truck out to get fixed and the cost is around $900. Though the mold and mildew is not enough for a recall since it is not a safety issue. It does become a safety issue when the water interacts with the electrical system and causes it to short out and cause smoke. This happened to my son's 2019 Silverado Z71. The safety issue is when a child is strapped in their car seat in the back seat and this happens. Which happened in this instance. On Monday, [XXX] my husband was driving his 2019 Chevy Trail Boss (VIN [XXX] ) home from work and a warning light came on the dash indicating “low oil pressure, turn engine off.” He pulled off the road immediately to turn the truck off and then realized that there was oil pouring out from the truck and which had covered the entire underside and sides of the vehicle. After having the truck towed to the local dealership we were notified that the issue was related to the oil cooler lines detaching causing the oil leak. The recommended fix was replacement of the lines and fresh oil. We proceeded with the service and thankfully there was no apparent damage to the engine at this time. The dealership acknowledged that this was a common problem with this truck. We paid $1,307.13 for the completion of this work, completed by Urka Auto Center in Ludington, MI. Unfortunately, after doing some research it has come to our attention that the detachment of the oil cooler lines is a very common problem amongst 2019 Chevy and GMC trucks and have located service bulletin (GMC TSB [XXX]) that identifies this as an issue for a select group of vehicles. It is very concerning that this has never been identified as a recall and it’s obvious that this issue affects many more trucks than those identified in the service bulletin. Similar issues also noted in Customer Satisfaction Program documents ([XXX] and [XXX]). We live in Michigan and, as happens in Michigan during winter, we’ve been experiencing snow and cold temps. It seems that in our research the colder temps put these oil cooler lines at an even greater risk of failure. The detachment of the oil coolant lines seems to be much more wide-spread than what has been acknowledged in the referenced documents. This parts failure has potential to severely damage the vehicle's engine. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)
I was driving for an hour when the truck was dinging and it told me to turn off engine no pressure with oil coolant I pulled into a customer’s driveway and all the oil in the truck was all over the customer’s blacktop called Chevy they knew nothing about problem and said no recall and was not covered with 42000 miles on truck had it towed and repaired by my local mechanic who also questioned Chevy and got the same response
Back up camera fails, and a collision follows. The camera keeps flickering and going black all the time. I ask the dealer and was told that if the factory warranty expired, nothing they can do. Also the infotainment system is failing, turn off then on, or freeze if temperature is cold. Same answer from dealer
MY PURGE PUMP HAS GONE OUT 3 TIMES. I DO NOT OVERFILL MY TANK. THEY HAVE ALSO STATED IT IS DUE TO NO LID ON THE GAS TANK BUT THIS TRUCK IS DESIGNED WITHOUT A LID FOR THE TANK. THE CATALYTIC CONVERTER HAS NOW GONE BAD PER THE DEALERSHIP. THE TRUCK ONLY HAS 121000 MILES ON IT. I SHOULD NOT BE HAVING THESE KINDS OF PROBLEMS. I WANTED TO REPORT THESE SINCE THE TRUCK IS NOT THAT OLD SO THIS MAY BE AN ISSUE WITH OTHERS. SINCE I PURCHASED THE TRUCK IT HAS JUMPED AT TAKE OFF AND NO ONE CAN EXPLAIN THIS. THE DEALER SHIP ALSO GIVE DIFFERENT ANSWERS FOR THINGS AND DOES NOT SEEM TO KNOW WHAT COULD BE WRONG.
Not really a safety concern but the backup camera worked for about a year, then got foggy during wet weather and completely useless in winter here in Anchorage, it was still foggy the following summer and then it went completely off and the following message appeared on the screen: service rear vision system. Of course it’s out of warranty now. I just think they should last more than a year or two in fact I’m still paying for my truck and a good feature that is really unimpressive. Thanks for your time.
Truck does not recognize shifter position of park, will not turn off properly. No wat to tell if transmission is safely in park. Does this about 50 percent of the time. This has to be a safety issue. A dealer in Arizona says that on model of the Chevy Silverado it is a regular issue. I would think this should be a safety recall item.
Water leaking from the rear windshield into the vehicle. Large amounts of water into the housing for the rear seatbelts, which is concerning for damage to the seatbelts. There are concerns for mold and electrical issues as well. This is a known issue from Chevrolet and needs to be addressed.
The rear windows leak because of a faulty window seal. This is a widespread issue that some people don’t even notice until truck is out of warranty and dealers want $700-$1000 to fix. The issues causes water to enter the cab, mine had water going into seatbelt areas that could damage mechanisms inside and cause seatbelts to not operate properly in a crash. As well as cause mold and other issues inside the cab. The company knows of the issue and has made a bulletin for how to fix. This needs to be a recall as it is affecting most trucks. Customers should not have to pay for this fix. This is a factory defect in materials used. Whatever they used to seal the window, cracks and alloys water in. I don’t know how long this has been leaking but probably well before warranty ran out I just now noticed it because truck usually stayed dry. Only noticed because the headliner was wet and water was dripping from seatbelt area. I only have 26000 miles on a 2019
The touch screen controller is constantly going haywire. It’s very distracting while operating the vehicle. The screen will switch from maps that you are following by itself to the radio, home page or just freeze. The radio can’t be controlled, the Wi-Fi and satellite systems switch on and off at random. There’s many complaints listed on the internet about the issue. GM wants $675 to replace the system on a 4 year old vehicle.
2019 Chevy Silverado RST turbo. 46K miles. Truck would feel like it skipped a gear a few times for a few months; I chalked it up to needing a new air filter. Had that and the oil changed. Ran normal for about 3 weeks. Check engine light came on and began flashing, service esc and service parking brake lights came on. Truck would vibrate while at an idle. Truck would not get up and go and when it go to 30mph, it would violently shake and stutter. Changed the 4 spark plugs, with number 4 being the worst, then 1, then 2 and 3. Mind you, the truck only has 46K miles. Got them replaced, removed the negative battery terminal to reset the codes and now the heat isn't working.
In November of 2021, There was a water leak found inside the truck, on the passenger side rear cab. Chevy repaired in accordance with GM bulletin # 18-na-383. After six month, leak came back. They replaced the rear window, in accordance with GM bulletin # 18-na-383. All work was done under warranty. Now after a month since last repair, the leak is back and worse then it was. Returned to Chevy dealer and they want to replace both parts again. This time not under warranty. Further research of the internet, yielded thousands of people over many years having the same issue.
Changed my oil and filter and notice a oil leak from under my radiator area. Investigated and found that the oil cooler lines was leaking from crimp joints. Contacted GM and local dealer and they would not make repairs without charging me for the repair and service, told me that my vehicle was not included in the Customer Satisfaction Program Number N212326940 and that my truck was out of warranty at 36000 miles. Current miles 38700, I believe that this was leaking at or around 35000 miles but was in between oil changes. Didn't find it until I did a oil change.
Parked in parking on an attempt to crank and leave the power steering would not turn the vehicle and a message appeared stating power steering needs immediate attention and the anti skid light appeared as well as abs message. These messages may not be exact but my concern is if I attempt to drive and the power assist goes out and I cannot control my vehicle. I will say that I went back to where the vehicle was left parked attempt to drive after sitting 1-2 hours and the messages were gone and the power steering had returned.
This truck has about 35,000 miles on it and the frame is rusted severely. Doesn’t feel safe to drive. Have to because it’s my only vehicle.
the transmission at the time of putting the speed jumps by itself, and the stereo turns off completely by itself
Started truck had several warnings for Service ESC, Traction control, service 4wheel drive and parking brake would not release
Water leak on rear windshield creating damage on floor and headliner my safety is at risk because there are electrical cables on top of the head liner that can create a fire if get wet also the bad smell i notify chevrolet gm and the dealership all the silverado 2019 with the rear sliding window leak water and this is a factory problem they should recall my warranty expired last month they dont want to fix the issue and i have to spend money and time to fix something they build wrong
1) Temperature outside 25 degrees F 2) Used Remote Start to warm up the truck 3) Truck ran for 5-8 mins 4) After getting in the truck when I closed the driver side door the full rear window glass completely shattered and blew out. My understanding is that this was an issue in the past as per TSB 14815B and seems to be a known issue that others have experienced as I saw when researching the safety issue on the internet.
1st Time I was idling for 30+ minutes, truck was also making strange knocking noises, pulled on to a major highway and rear end locked up, cars were slamming on brakes, almost got killed. Took to shop left for 2 weeks, they said they could find no issues. I assumed they fixed problem, because there was no knocking any more. 3 weeks later, was idling for about 45minutes, pulled into traffic, dark, raining, rear en locked up. Almost got killed a second time. Took in for service and left truck. This needs to be investigated before someone gets killed!
The infotainment system on the 2019 Chevy Silverado fails when a passenger is using Carplay. While using Carplay for hands-free operation of a cellular device and or navigation the system will reboot continuously. Just prior to the system failures to begin the turn signals will begin to operate sporadically. They will either stay on solid, off, or blink at an uneven interval. These system reboots create a safety issue as this forces the driver to take their eyes off of the road and physically disconnect and reconnect the cellular device. By having to take my eyes off of the road to deal with the system rebooting this takes attention away and creates a safety issue for myself and all others on the road. One incident I had to slam on the brakes after looking back up and seeing that traffic had come to a sudden stop. The unit has been replaced by the dealership one time thus far and the BCM computer has been replaced once as well. This has not resolved the issues. This is also not limited to my specific vehicle. There are hundreds of other owners reporting the same issues. The problem was reproduced by one technician at the dealership but has not been reproduced by them since. (They all have Android devices minus the one tech. This is a Carplay issue.) This has occurred more than 100 separate times on this vehicle beginning in November of 2019.
Started to drive my truck this morning and it was driving very rough. Dashboard warning lights came on; SERVICE PARKING BRAKE, SERVICE ESC, CHECK ENGINE LIGHT, STABILITY CONTROL LIGHT, PARKING BRAKE ON INDICATOR. None of this was happening yesterday. It just happened this morning. This truck only has 7,100 miles on it.
Clarity of the back up camera is very cloudy or not clear at all
Vehicle was parked and not running. I got into the vehicle and started it. I proceeded to put the vehicle in reverse and backed my truck up out of a parking spot. I then put the vehicle in drive. The vehicle started to go in reverse when I began to accelerate. I then put the vehicle back in park and then back into drive. The truck again started to go in reverse when in the drive position and I tried to accelerate and go forward. At this point the truck's check engine light came on. I put the truck in park, turned the vehicle off for a moment. I then turned the truck back on and again shifted it to drive and the truck went forward. We took the vehicle into the shop to have the codes run but a braking system code was the only thing that came up. The dealership said they will begin looking into it and the vehicle will be serviced soon. Safety Concern: That if we were in a parking lot and placed our vehicle in drive and it actually goes in reverse, we could have harmed someone behind us or damaged someone's vehicle/home/etc. I also worry there may be other issues that arise that could pose a safety concern since we don't really know what is going on.

PURCHASED THIS VEHICLE IN NOV OF 2019. THE REARVIEW CAMERA DOES NOT FUNCTION PROPERLY AND GM DOES NOT WANT TO CHANGE MY CAMERA. THEY KEEP ON STATING THEY HAVEN'T FOUND A FIX AND ALWAYS LEAVE ME WITH NO NEW INFORMATION. I'VE OPENED TICKETS WITH THEM AND NOTHING. WAS READING ONLINE TODAY AND THEY STATE THAT THE ISSUE ONLY HAPPENS ON LOWER TRIM MODELS. MINE IS A CUSTOM TRIM MODEL. I WOULD LIKE THIS FIXED AS IT IS DANGEROUS, GOING REVERSE AND THE CAMERA GLITCHES OUT OR TURNS BLACK.
CAMERA IS REALLY FUZZY NOT CLEAR AND HORIZONTAL LINES RUN THROUGH IT IT MAKES IT VERY HARD TO SEE AT NIGHT WHEN YOU ARE BACKING UP

WHEN I HIT THE BRAKES WHILE MOVING IN REVERSE, MY BACKUP CAMERA GLITCHES OR GIVES AN ERROR TO SERVICE. THIS COULD PREVENT ME FROM SEEING SOMETHING BEHIND ME WHILE BACKING UP. THIS HAS BEEN A PROBLEM SINCE PURCHASING. CHEVY DEALER LOOKED AT IT BUT WAS UNABLE TO FIX.

PULLED OUT OF A CONSTRUCTION SITE AFTER A WORK DAY AND THE WHEELS ON MY TRUCK LOCKED UP RIGHT IN THE MIDDLE OF THE ROAD. IF I WAS PULLING INTO A HIGHWAY, I WOULD NOT BE WRITING THIS RIGHT NOW. THE TRUCK WAS IDLING FOR ABOUT 2 HOURS BEFORE I PULLED OUT INTO TRAFFIC. THE WAY THE WHEELS STOPPED, IT FELT LIKE THE PARKING BRAKE IS ENGAGING WHEN I DRIVE. MAYBE THIS IS SOME KIND OF LIMP MODE TO PREVENT DAMAGE. IF THAT IS THE CASE, IT IS A VERY DANGEROUS FAIL-SAFE TO IMPLEMENT ON A VEHICLE THAT PEOPLE DEPEND ON FOR WORK. I DO NOT THINK IT IS A COINCIDENCE THAT THIS IS THE FIRST SILVERADO MODEL WITH AN ELECTRONIC PARKING BRAKE. OH YAH, AND THIS JUST COINCIDENTALLY HAPPENED 1000 MILES AFTER MY BUMPER-TO-BUMPER WARRANTY EXPIRED. ALSO, GM CUSTOMER SERVICE IS JUST A CALL CENTER IN INDIA. DON'T BOTHER CALLING THEM.

FORWARD AUTOMATIC BRAKING SYSTEM HAS NOT EVER WORKED SINCE I PURCHASED THE TRUCK. I WAS TOLD THAT CHEVROLET WAS AWARE OF THIS AND WAS GOING TO ISSUE A RECALL. I DID RECEIVE A RECALL NOTICE #N192275630. TOKE IT TO THE DEALER AND THEY PERFORMED THIS RECALL AND 4 OTHER RECALLS AND ONE SERVICE BULLETIN. AFTER RECEIVING THE TRUCK BACK FROM THE DEALER I HAVE HAD SEVERAL INSTANCES WHERE THE FORWARD COLLISION ALERT SYSTEM HAS WARNED ME BUT STILL NO AUTOMATIC BRAKING FUNCTION. CONTACTED DEALER AND TOOK IT BACK TO THEM THEY RETESTED THE SYSTEM WITH NO ERRORS RECORDED. THEY SAID THEY DON'T NOW WHAT TO DO SINCE THE RECALL INVOLVED A SOFTWARE UPDATE ONLY AND THEY CAN'T TEST THE SOFTWARE OTHER THAN TO CONFIRM THAT IT DID GET UPDATED. CONTACTED CHEVY CUSTOMER CARE AND WAS TOLD THAT ONLY WAY TO CONFIRM THE SYSTEM WAS WORKING WAS TO CRASH THE TRUCK "THAT'S THEIR WORDS". I AM AN AUTOMOTIVE ENGINEER AND I KNOW THAT'S NOT TRUE. I KNOW THE SYSTEM IS NOT WORKING SINCE THE WARNING SYSTEM IS WORKING BUT NOT APPLYING THE BRAKES. IT APPEARS THE SOFTWARE UPDATE DID NOT WORK ON MY TRUCK.

I APPLIED HARD BRAKE PRESSURE(EASILY ENOUGH PRESSURE TO PROPERLY STOP) BUT PRESSING HARD THE TRUCK SLOWED DOWN BUT AT FULL HARD PUSH BRAKE PEDAL MY TRUCK A CHEVY SILVERADO 2020 JUST WOULDNT STOP CORRECTLY. THERE IS A CURRENT RECALL FOR THIS ISSUE I'M FINDING OUT NOW THAT IT HAS HAPPENED TO ME. MY TRUCK HAS BEEN TAKEN INTO SHOP BUT I NEED TO KNOW MY OPTIONS AND WHERE TO GO FROM HERE. I'VE ADVISED MY INSURANCE CO OF THIS RECALL DEFECT AND HAVE CONTACTED MY ATTORNEY TO SEEK DAMAGES.

AFTER PERFORMING THE LATEST RECALLS THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT ILLUMINATED WITH A P25A2 CODE. I DID NOT NOTICE ANY CHANGE IN THE VEHICLE HANDLING OR PERFORMANCE. AFTER I TOOK THE VEHICLE TO THE DEALERSHIP FOR SERVICE THEY TOLD ME THAT THEY COULDN'T FIND AN ERROR CODE, ONLY THE P25A2 CODE WHICH IS TO ILLUMINATE THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT. I BELIEVE IT WAS THE BRAKE SYSTEM THAT TRIGGERED THE LIGHT IF I RECALL WHAT THE SERVICE TECHNICIAN TOLD ME CORRECTLY. WHEN USING THE BACKUP CAMERA AT NIGHT, IT GOES INTO FULL BRIGHTNESS BLINDING MYSELF AND ALL PASSENGERS. I CANNOT USE THE MIRRORS TO BACK UP MY TRAILER BECAUSE IT IS EXTREMELY OVERWHELMING. I HAVE COVERED IT WITH A T-SHIRT SO THAT I CAN ACTUALLY SEE. THERE NEEDS TO BE A WAY TO TURN IT OFF BUT I CANNOT(LITERALLY TRIED EVERY SHORT OF REMOVING THE FUSE. HAPPENS EVERY TIME I DRIVE SO I AM PUTTING MY PURCHASE DATE. *TR

THE TRANSMISSION SHIFTING FROM 1ST TO SECOND GEAR HAS ABOUT A 5 SECOND DELAY AND THEN IS A ROUGH SHIFT INTO 2ND. ONLY HAPPENS WHEN THE VEHICLE IS COLD FROM SITTING FOR A LONG PERIOD LIKE OVER NIGHT. AFTER THE ONE HARD SHIFT IT DOESN'T DO IT THE REST OF THE DAY. DONE IT SINCE PURCHASING IT IN SEPT 2019. IT'S LIKE IT LAGS AFTER YOU WAKE IT UP AND HASN'T HAD ITS COFFEE YET. DOES NOT MATTER IF I BACK DOWN MY DRIVEWAY FIRST AND THEN INTO DRIVE. THE FIRST SHIFT OF 1ST TO 2ND HAS A LAG AND ITS ROUGH INTO 2ND. *TR

REAR BACK UP CAMERA QUIT WORKING. THE CENTER MONITOR READ "SERVICE REAR VIEW CAMERA". TRIED TURNING THE MOTOR OFF AND ON NUMEROUS TIMES BUT STILL WOULD NOT WORK. PARKED THE TRUCK IN THE GARAGE THAT NIGHT AND WHEN I TRIED IT THE NEXT DAY IT WAS WORKING AGAIN. CALLED THE DEALER AND INFORMED THEM BUT WAS TOLD THEY HADN'T HEARD OF THE PROBLEM. HAPPENED IN A PARKING LOT INITIALLY.

I GET INTO THE VEHICLE WHILE AT MY STORAGE UNIT FACILITY AND WITHIN SECONDS TURN THE VEHICLE ON BY PRESSING THE BUTTON ON THE DASHBOARD. I IMMEDIATELY PUT THE CAR IN REVERSE. THREE SECONDS AFTER I AM MOVING IN REVERSE INSTRUMENT PANEL STARTS FLASHING WARNING MESSAGES SUCH AS NO SPEED OVER 62 MPH, ELECTRONIC BRAKE SYSTEMS SOMETHING, SERVICE ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON AND STAYED ON, AND ONCE AGAIN I WAS WITHOUT BRAKES! I WAS NOT GOING FAST, NOR IN TRAFFIC, BUT THE FACT REMAINS I HAD NO BRAKES, AGAIN! THIS ISSUE WAS 'FIXED' TWO MONTHS EARLIER IN ANOTHER RECALL FOR THE BRAKES. THIS IS NOT THE FIRST TIME I LOST THE ABILITY TO BRAKE, BUT THIS WILL BE THE LAST TIME. THIS VEHICLE NEEDS TO BE RECALLED IN ITS ENTIRETY, I MEAN TAKEN OFF THE STREETS. IT'S NOT JUST THE DRIVERS OF THE TRUCK WHO ARE IN DANGER, OTHER DRIVERS, PEDESTRIANS, BICYCLISTS ARE ALSO IN DANGER. A FATALITY IS IMMINENT BUT I ASK THE NHTSA HOW MANY FATALITIES BEFORE THIS DANGEROUS VEHICLE IS TAKEN OFF THE ROAD? EVERY SAFETY DEVICE ON THIS VEHICLE HAS BEEN RECALLED: AIRBAGS, SEATBELT, AND BRAKE SYSTEMS. THIS VEHICLE IS NOT SAFE. THE NUMBER OF PEOPLE WHO HAVE LOST THE ABILITY TO BRAKE ARE FAR GREATER THAN WHAT IS REPORTED HERE. PLEASE DON'T EXPECT GM TO FIX THIS ISSUE WHEN THEY DON'T EVEN KNOW THE CAUSE BEHIND THE PROBLEM TO BEGIN WITH! FIRST IT WAS ONSTAR, NOW IT IS THE COMPANY THEY HIRED TO CREATE THEIR COMPUTERIZED BRAKES. COMPUTERS HAVING SO MUCH CONTROL OVER VEHICLES, I'M LEARNING, IS NOT SAFE. PLEASE CONTACT ME FOR MORE INFORMATION. I'M MORE THAN HAPPY TO SHARE MY TERRIFYING EXPERIENCES WITH ANYONE WHO CAN HELP MY FELLOW AMERICANS AND MYSELF!

I BOUGHT A NEW 2019 CHEVY SILVERADO AT THE END OF 2019. THE BACKUP CAMERA FLICKERS AND CUTS OUT. I TOOK IT TO THE DEALERSHIP AND WAS TOLD THERE IS NO SOLUTION FOR IT. THIS CANNOT BE THE RIGHT ANSWER. I HAVE SMALL CHILDREN AND WITH A LARGE TRUCK I DEPEND ON THE CAMERA WORKING. ALSO WITH PARKING I HAVE COME CLOSE TO DAMAGING THE TRUCK.
AN INTERMITTENT ELECTRICAL CONNECTION BETWEEN THE B+ BATTERY CABLE AND THE ALTERNATOR COULD CAUSE THE VEHICLE TO STALL. THE INTERMITTENT CONNECTION COULD ALSO LEAD TO ARCING, WHICH COULD GENERATE SUFFICIENT HEAT TO DAMAGE SURROUNDING MATERIAL AND INCREASE THE RISK OF A FIRE. GM RECALL #: N192273510. THE PROBLEM IS EVEN THOUGH THEY CLAIMED THEY FIX IT. RECORD SHOWS THAT THE RECALL STILL INCOMPLETE. IF THE DRIVER IS UNAWARE THAT ESC AND ABS ARE NOT FUNCTIONING, THERE MAY BE INCREASED RISK OF A CRASH. GM RECALL #: N192268090 NHTSA RECALL 19V889 INVOLVED A SOFTWARE ERROR THAT COULD CAUSE THE VEHICLE'S ESC AND ABS TELLTALE LAMPS TO FAIL TO ILLUMINATE IN CERTAIN CIRCUMSTANCES. IF A DRIVER WERE UNAWARE THAT ESC AND ABS WERE NOT FUNCTIONING, THERE MAY BE INCREASED RISK OF A CRASH. GM RECALL #: N192268091. AS I MENTIONED IT, THE RECORD SHOWS THESE RECALLS ARE INCOMPLETE. THEY GAVE ME THE TRUCK BACK ON 02/21/2020 AFTER ABOUT A MONTH THEY CLAIMED THEY REPAIRED IT.*DT*JB *DT *JS
MY BACKUP CAMERA DOES NOT SHOW A CLEAR IMAGE WHEN BACKING UP AT NIGHT.

BACKUP CAMERA SO BURRY AT NIGHT CAN'T SEE OR TELL WHATS BEHIND THE TRUCK. NEVER HAD ONE LIKE THIS, DEALERSHIP SAID THERE'S THEY CAN DO ABOUT IT. A $50,000.00 TRUCK SHOULD HAVE A WORKING CAMERA. THIS HAPPENS WHEN IN REVERSE.

BACK WINDOW ON TRUCK IS LEAKING WATER. HEADLINER IS DISCOLORED AND ITS VERY CLOSE TO AN AIRBAG. I'M HOPING ITS FIXED BEFORE THE WATER SETS OFF THE AIR BAG ACCIDENTALLY. FIRST DEALER FIX RESULTED IN A BIGGER LEAK THAN ORIGINAL.

PRESENT ON A 2019 CHEVY RST Z71 IN NIGHTTIME CONDITIONS, WHEN THE REAR BACKUP CAMERA IS ENGAGED THE QUALITY OF THE CAMERA IS EXTREMELY POOR WITH GRAINY / PIXELATED IMAGE AND MAY CUT OUT ENTIRELY WHILE THE VEHICLE IS STATIONARY AND IN MOTION. THIS CONDITION POSSE A DANGER TO THE SAFETY OF ANY ONE OR ANY THING THE DRIVER MAY NOT SEE AS A RESULT OF THIS CONDITION
Mileage: 176
BACK UP CAMERA IS FUZZY AT NIGHT AND IS VERY DANGEROUS TO USE WHEN BACKING UP. USING IT AT NIGHT HAS RESULTED IN ALMOST BEING IN AN ACCIDENT ON TWO OCCASIONS. I TOOK IT TO THE CHEVROLET DEALER TODAY AND THEY SAID IT NEEDED NO REPAIR AT THIS TIME AND IT MET GM SPECS. IT HAS BEEN THIS WAY SINCE I BOUGHT THE TRUCK AND DOES IT EVERY TIME YOU BACK UP AT NIGHT.
Mileage: 40
WHEN BACKING THE VEHICLE AT NIGHT THE CAMERA SCREEN IS SO BRIGHT IT BLINDS THE DRIVER AND CHEVY HAS NO WAY OF ADJUSTING THE SCREEN BRIGHTNESS.AS OF 1-27-2020 CHEVROLET IS FAILING TO ADDRESS THE PROBLEM AND IT WILL CAUSE A ACCIDENT

SERVICE REAR VISION SYSTEM AND BLUE SCREEN FOR BACKUP CAMERA AND CAMERA SYSTEM ON TRUCK HAS BEEN INTERMITTENTLY NOT WORKING SINCE PURCHASED ON 5/18/19. HAVE HAD THE TRUCK TO THE DEALER TWICE TO FIX. FIRST TIME REPLACED REAR CAMERA. ISSUE RETURNED NEXT DAY. SECOND TIME, DEALER POINTED TO A TSP THAT INDICATED THE SYSTEM WAS BUSY WHEN FIRST STARTING THE VEHICLE AND TO ALLOW FOR EXTRA TIME TO PLACE VEHICLE IN REVERSE. ISSUE IS NOT RELATED TO PLACING THE CAR IN GEAR, IT ONLY SHOWS THE ISSUE. ISSUE APPEARS TO BE A SOFTWARE ISSUE IN WHICH THE SYSTEM DOESN'T GET BOOTED UP IN A TIMELY MANNER. AFTER SOME TIME, HAS BEEN RANDOM FROM 2-3 MINUTES TO OVER 30 MINUTES, THE SYSTEM WILL EVENTUALLY COME ONLINE AND WORK PROPERLY. THE ISSUE I HAVE IS MANY OF MY TRIPS ARE JUST A FEW MINUTES UP THE ROAD TO MY FIREHOUSE I VOLUNTEER AT. THE TRUCK DOESN'T HAVE ENOUGH TIME TO COMPLETELY BOOT UP THE CAMERA SYSTEM AND I'M LEFT WITH A BLUE SCREEN WITH NO WAY TO RESET IT OR USE THE CAMERAS. I'VE CONTACTED THE DEALERSHIP SERVICE MANAGER AND CHEVROLET AND CHEVROLET INITIALLY CALLED BACK WANTING ME TO CONTACT THE DEALERSHIP. THE SERVICE MANAGER SAID HE WOULD INVESTIGATE THE ISSUE AND CALL ME BACK TO SCHEDULE A FIX. NO WORD IN OVER 1 MONTH NOW. I SEE ON SEVERAL FORUMS OTHER USERS STRUGGLING WITH THE SAME ISSUE AND SO FAR THERE SEEMS TO BE NO FIX. I'M NOT SURE GM KNOWS WHAT THE ISSUE IS AT THIS POINT. THERE SEEMS TO BE NO WAY TO ALERT THEM AND GET THE RIGHT PEOPLE WORKING ON THE ISSUE. HOPING THIS VENUE WILL BE ABLE TO WAKE SOMEONE UP AT GM. ISSUE IS CONSISTENTLY RANDOM. SOMETIMES IT LOADS QUICKER THAN OTHER TIMES, BUT IS CONSISTENT IN NOT WANTING TO WORK WHEN NEEDED.

REAR BACKUP CAMERA SCREEN GETS FUZZY WITH SEVERAL WHITE LINES ACROSS MAINLY DURING NIGHT DRIVING. VERY POOR VISIBILITY FOR A BRAND NEW TRUCK/CAMERA. GOOD VISIBILITY IS CRITICAL FOR BACKING UP IN A CROWDED PARKING LOT AT NIGHT. CRITICAL SAFETY ISSUE!! TOOK IT TO MY LOCAL DEALER 12/30/19 DURING THE DAY, AND WAS TOLD THEY COULD NOT GET IT TO REPLICATE THE ISSUE, HOWEVER DID KNOW ABOUT THE ISSUE WITH OTHER VEHICLES. NO RESOLUTION WAS GIVEN, SAID TO COME BACK WHEN IT DID IT AGAIN.
Mileage: 800
THE BACK UP CAMERA AT NIGHT IS BLINDING DUE TO BRIGHTNESS AND IS NON-ADJUSTABLE TO DIM. BRIGHTNESS OF SCREEN MAKES IT DIFFICULT TO ADJUST VISION LOOKING AWAY FROM IT TO USE SIDE MIRRORS. SAFETY ISSUE WITH A MOVING VEHICLE.

REPEATED ATTEMPTS BY JONES CHEVY, SUMTER SC, THEY HAVE NOT IDENTIFIED THE VIBRATION PROBLEMS WITH MY NEW VEHICLE. 22+ DAYS IN REPAIR, MULTIPLE VISITS, AND GM CLASSIFIES HARSH VIBRATION AS "NORMAL CHARACTERISTIC" AND CLOSED THE CASE, SAYING ITS FINAL. I HAVE CONTACTED GM CEO WITH CERTIFIED LETTER, DISCUSSED WITH EXEC. CUSTOMER SUPPORT TEAM, AND POSTED ON SOCIAL MEDIA TO FIND ANY SOLUTION. GM CUSTOMER SERVICE IS THE WORSE I HAVE EVER EXPERIENCED. SO FAR DEALER HAS CONDUCTED TRANSMISSION DRAIN AND FLUSH PER A TSB, CHANGED TORQUE CONVERTER, EVALUATED VIBRATION WITH PICO SCOPE, AND PROBLEM STILL EXISTS AND PERSIST. NOW TODAY IT'S BACK AT DEALER FOR A PROP SHAFT SWAP, FROM A NEW TRUCK. MY VEHICLE NOW HAS 6K MILES, AND PROBLEM STARTED AT 5K AFTER THE DRAIN AND FLUSH. GM SAYS THE VIBRATION IS NORMAL BECAUSE OF THE DFM, DYNAMIC FUEL MGMT. SYSTEM. I SAY BS. THEY ARE WRONG, AND NO VEHICLE SHOULD VIBRATE AT LOW OR HIGH SPEED TO THE POINT YOU FEEL IT THROUGH THE SEAT, STEERING COLUMN, STEERING WHEEL AND HARMONIC DISTORTION IN THE CAB. GM KNOWS WHAT THE PROBLEM IS, THEY JUST DON'T WANT TO ADMIT. NEXT STEP, ARBRITRATION? ANY FEEDBACK IS MUCH APPRECIATED TO SOLVE THIS VIBRATION ISSUE. GM - DO THE RIGHT THING AND ISSUE A RECALL BEFORE SOMEONE GETS HURT. REMEMBER THE IGNITION PROBLEM? THIS PROBLEM ISN'T GOING AWAY.

HAVE TAKEN VEH,IN TWICE FOR RECALL FIXES,GETTING NOTICES ON PH ,SAYING VEH HAS NOT BEEN FIXED
REAR VIEW CAMERA CUTS OUT INTERMITTENTLY WHEN BRAKES ARE APPLIED WHILE BACKING UP. REAR VIEW CAMERA IS VERY FUZZY AT NIGHT AND IS DIFFICULT TO SEE. THIS IS A SAFETY CONCERN DUE TO VISIBILITY.
ONGOING COMMUNICATION BETWEEN LOCAL DEALER AND CHEVY/GM EXECUTIVE SUPPORT TEAM TO FIX SHUDDER/VIBRATION IS NOT RESOLVED. CHEVY STATES "NORMAL CHARACTERISTIC" FOR THIS MODEL VEHICLE, 2019 SILVERADO 5.3, 8 SPEED. I VEHEMENTLY DISAGREE. GM APPROVED TORQUE CONVERTS SWAP AND THEN PROBLEM GOT MUCH WORSE. THEY NOW SAY, RESOLUTION IS FINAL, THIS IN NORMAL! PLEADED WITH DEALERSHIP GENERAL MGR, TO CONTACT DISTRICT SUPERVISORS TO RE-EVALUATE. NOW THEY ARE GOING TO RUN PICO TEST AND COMPARATIVE ANALYSIS AGAINST 2 NEW TRUCK ON THEIR LOT. MY TRUCK ONLY HAS 6K MILES AND SHOULD SHAKE AND VIBRATE, BUT IT DOES AND GETTING WORSE. HARMONIC DISTORTION WITHIN CAB GETTING WORSE. SEEMS THE MORE MILES I PUT ON IT, THE WORSE IT GETS. AFTER DRAIN AND FLUSH OF TRANSMISSION, PER TSB, NOW ALSO HAD DELAYED SHIFTING, AND HAVING TO BRAKE HARD WHEN DOWNSHIFTING BECAUSE IT WANTS TO LURCH FORWARD. FRUSTRATING AT BEST, BUT SAFETY AND RISK OF INJURY ARE MY IMMEDIATE CONCERN. NEED HELP!
BRAND NEW TRUCK AN THE BACK UP CAMERA FLASHES FLICKERS, IS TERRIBLE TO SEE, BACKING UP.GM SAYS ITS NORMAL. NOT NORMAL ESPECIALLY WHEN THE CATALOG SAYS CAMERA IS HD 7", NEVER SEEN A BACK UP CAMERA BE ABLE TO FLASH AND FLICKER WHEN THE LIGHTS ARE ACTUATED BRAKES ARE ON. MEANS THERE IS A DRAW IN THE SYSTEM. THERE IS TINTERFERENCE WITH IT AND THE ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. I ALSO HAVE THE TRACTION CONTROL RELAY CLICKING EVERYTIME THE TRACTION CONTROL COMES ON. HAVE HAD THREE VEHICLES AND NEVER HEARD THAT TO BE NORMAL. HEAD LIGHTS ARE SO DIM THE CARS BEHIND ME BRIGHTEN THE ROAD . THESE LIGHTS DONT EVEN LIGHT THE REFELCTORS ON THE ROAD. BUT APPARENTLY NORMAL YOU CAN PUT LED IN , BUT HAVE TO PAY FOR IT. JUST KEEP DRIVING AND CANT SEE WHERE YOUR GOING UNTIL YOU GET HURT. ALSO ADD LED AND VOID YOUR WARRANTY.

THE REAR BACKUP CAMERA IS FAULTY. RANDOMLY WILL GET A BLUE SCREEN (BACKUP CAMERA BEING INOPERABLE) THAT SAYS TO "SERVICE REAR VISION SYSTEM". RESEARCH ONLINE, SAYS THERE IS NO CURRENT FIX FOR THIS ISSUE. I ONLY HAVE 600 MILES ON A BRAND NEW TRUCK.

BACKUP CAMERA AT NIGHT BLURRY AND SHINES EYE VERY HARD TO SEE TO BACKUP
Mileage: 1,000
THE BACKUP CAMERA SCREEN IS AT FULL BRIGHTNESS AT NIGHT IN THE PITCH DARK MAKING FOR THIS ISSUE. IF YOU ARE LOOKING IN YOUR SIDE REAR VIEW MIRRORS TO BACKUP AND LOOK TO THE RIGHT ONE, PASSING THE SCREEN, YOU ARE BLINDED BY THE BRIGHTNESS OF THE SCREEN. THIS, IN MY OPINION, IS VERY DANGEROUS. THIS ISSUE IS ALSO PRESENT IN OTHER 2019 TRUCKS.
Mileage: 10
THE BACKUP CAMERA SYSTEM IS ESSENTIALLY UNUSABLE AT NIGHT WHEN REVERSING. THE IMAGE QUALITY IS FUZZY AT BEST AND CUTS IN AND OUT WITH HORIZONTAL LINES FLASHING THROUGH IT. ON TOP OF THE FACT THAT IT IS A FUZZY IMAGE, IT IS SO BRIGHT, IT IS UNBEARABLE TO LOOK AT, IT'S BASICALLY WHITE-WASHED.
Mileage: 280
THE REAR VIEW CAMERA IS ABSOLUTELY BLINDING IN LOW LIGHT CONDITIONS /AT NIGHT. ALSO THE SCREEN IS GLITCHY AT BEST. THE SCREEN CONSTANTLY CUTS OUT AND THE PICTURE DISTORTS WHEN APPLYING THE BRAKES. COMPARED TO CAMERAS AND SCREENS ON OTHER VEHICLE OF LESSER QUALITY AND LESS MONEY THIS CAMERA IS ABSOLUTELY UNACCEPTABLE. A $52K TRUCK SHOULD HAVE A CAMERA /INFOTAINMENT SCREEN OF BETTER QUALITY THAN THIS. THIS TECHNOLOGY HAS BEEN OUT LONG ENOUGH TO HAVE HD QUALITY AS A STANDARD FEATURE. GM SHOULD MAKE THIS RIGHT OR I'M SURE THERE WILL BE A LOT OF NEW FORD CUSTOMERS IN THE COMING YEARS.
Mileage: 600
THE BACKUP CAMERA IS USELESS AT NIGHT, I ALREADY TOOK IT TO THE DEALER AND THEY TOLD ME THAT IT WAS NORMAL FOR THE TRIM OF THE TRUCK
2019 CHEVY 1500 TRAIL BOSS DOUBLE CAB: THE BACKUP CAMERA CUTS IN AND OUT WHEN YOU APPLY PRESSURE TO THE BRAKES. THIS COULD CAUSE ISSUES WHEN YOU RELY ON THIS AND THEN THE CAMERA CUTS OFF AND BOOM... YOU HIT SOMETHING/SOMEONE BECAUSE THE BACKUP CAMERA CUTS OFF.
Mileage: 315
AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION AND BRAKE PRESSURE PROBLEMS. THE AUTOMATION TRANSMISSION JERKS WHEN ACCELERATING FROM ZERO MILES PER HOUR OR AT LOW SPEEDS. IT CAN DRAMATICALLY INCREASE THE RATE OF AN INCIDENT DUE TO THE POWERFUL MOVEMENT THAT THE MOVEMENT DOES TO THE WHOLE TRUCK. YOU CAN THEN FEEL THE WHOLE TRUCK SWAY BACK AND FOURTH DUE TO THE IMPACT. THIS "JERKING" FROM THE START CAN INCREASE THE RISK OF HITTING ANYTHING IN FRONT OF YOU BECAUSE OF IT NOT BEING CONTROLLED PROPERLY WHEN MOVING IN CLOSE PROXIMITY AREAS SUCH AS HIGH VOLUME TRAFFIC AREAS, HIGH COUNTS OF PEDESTRIANS WALKING ACROSS THE STREET, PARALLEL PARKING, AND PARKING CLOSE TO ANOTHER CAR IN FRONT OF YOU OR ANY OTHER TYPE OF OBJECT IN FRONT OF YOU. THE BRAKE APPLICATIONS TAKE AN EXTREME AMOUNT OF PRESSURE TO STOP THE VEHICLE AT ALL GIVEN TIMES. MY TRUCK IS BRAND NEW AND PURCHASED ON 9/18/2019.
Mileage: 280
WITH ONLY 500 MILES ON THE TRUCK/ENGINE OIL PRESSURE HAS BEEN DROPPING DRASTICALLY WHILE GOING FROM DRIVE TO IDLE. IT DROPS FRIM 60 TO UNDER 30. ALSO BATTERY POWER GAUGE DROPS WELL BELOW 14 WHEN ORIGINALLY WAS OVER 14. THIS ALSO BEGAN AT THE SAME TIME OIL PRESSURE ISSUES BEGAN.

I WAS DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY FOR APPROXIMATELY 1 HOUR/75 MILES. I PULLED OVER TO CLEAN OUT MY TRUCK. I PARKED IN A VACANT PARKING LOT. THE TRUCK'S ENGINE WAS RUNNING, THE VEHICLE WAS IN PARK. IT WAS PARKED AT THE TOP OF A HILL. I GOT OUT OF THE DRIVERS COMPARTMENT, AND WALKED AROUND BEHIND TO THE PASSENGER'S SIDE, AND CLEANED OUT SOME TRASH. I THEN WALKED BACK AROUND TO THE REAR DRIVERS SIDE DOOR, AND REMOVED MORE TRASH. I WALKED ABOUT 15-25 FEET AWAY, TO PUT THE TRASH IN THE GARBAGE CAN. THE TRUCK MADE A WEIRD 'CHIRP-CHIRP-CHIRP' ALARM/ELECTRICAL TYPE NOISE, AND THEN DROVE BACKWARDS. THE REVERSE LIGHTS WERE ON. I RAN AFTER THE TRUCK, THE DRIVERS DOOR WAS LOCKED. I PUSHED THE UNLOCK BUTTON ON THE DOOR AND HOPPED UP ON THE RUNNING BOARD. I OPENED THE DRIVERS DOOR AND JUMPED IN, AND SLAMMED ON THE BRAKES. I STOPPED THE TRUCK, LITERALLY ONE FOOT FROM GOING OVER AN 8 FOOT CONCRETE EMBANKMENT. I AM REALLY TERRIFIED BY WHAT HAPPENED. IT WAS IN PARK. IT HAS THAT NEW SYSTEM WHERE THE KEYS STAY IN YOUR POCKET AND EVERYTHING IS PUSH BUTTON (START, UNLOCK) THE VEHICLE'S COLUMN SHIFTER WAS STILL IN PARK WHEN I STOPPED THE TRUCK. PHOTOS: 1.) THIS IS THE HILL, AND SPACE I WAS PARKED IN. 2.) THESE ARE MY TIRE TRACKS, MY TRUCKS TIRES HIT THAT SHEET METAL, AND YOU CAN SEE THE APPROXIMATE 8 FOOT DROP WITH THE DUMPSTERS. 3.) THIS SHOWS THE CONCRETE SPEED BUMP THING THAT MY TRUCK BACKED OVER WHEN IT WAS ROLLING OUT OF CONTROL THIS SHOULD NOT HAVE BEEN MECHANICALLY POSSIBLE. IF IT WAS IN PARK IT CAN'T HAPPEN (THEORETICALLY) IF IT WAS IN REVERSE, IT WOULD HAVE BACKED UP IMMEDIATELY AFTER LETTING MY FOOT OFF THE BRAKE. IF IT HAD BEEN IN NEUTRAL, IT WOULD HAVE DRIFTED BACKWARDS IMMEDIATELY DUE TO THE GRADE OF THE HILL. IF IT HAD BEEN IN DRIVE OR LOW, IT WOULD HAVE MOVED FORWARD, OR STAYED STILL.

THE CHROME SURROUNDING THE AIR VENTS CAN REFLECT THE SUN IN A MANNER THAT BLINDS THE DRIVER. THIS HAS HAPPENED TO ME ON MULTIPLE OCCASIONS WHEN DRIVING NORTH IN THE AFTERNOON. IT FORCES ME TO LOOK AWAY FROM THE ROAD, AND CAUSES IMPRINTING IN MY VISION, WHICH REDUCES MY ABILITY TO SEE WHEN DRIVING.
THIS VEHICLE IS A BRAND NEW 2019 CHEVROLET SILVERADO 1500 TRAIL BOSS. THIS TRUCK HAS THE 4.3L V6. THE FIRST TIME BACKING UP IN MY DRIVEWAY I NOTICED THE BACKUP CAMERA FLICKERED EVERYTIME I TOUCHED THE BRAKE PEDAL. I REPEATED BACKING UP SEVERAL TIMES AND AT ONE POINT THE BACKUP CAMERA FLICKERED AND WENT OFF (SCREEN WENT BLANK/BLACK WITH A MESSAGE "SERVICE REAR VISION SYSTEM". WHEN THE BACKUP CAMERA CAME BACK ON THE GUIDELINES FOR BACKING UP HAD DISAPPEARED. I WAS UNABLE TO GET THE GUIDELINES BACK ON THE SCREEN UNTIL I CHANGED THE SHIFTER TO DRIVE OR PARK THEN BACK INTO REVERSE. THIS HAS HAPPENED MULTIPLE TIMES. THE BACKUP CAMERA SCREEN REPEATEDLY FLICKERS AND INTERMITTENTLY WILL GO BLANK WITH A LOSS OF GUIDELINES. I CONTACTED CHEVROLET AND BROUGHT THE VEHICLE BACK TO THE DEALER SERVICE DEPARTMENT ON 4/1/19. THEIR REPORT WAS THAT THE SYSTEM DID IN FACT FLICKER AND THE SCREEN SHUT OFF MOMENTARILY HOWEVER STATED IT IS "NORMAL" FOR THESE VEHICLE. THEY GAVE ME A 2019 SILVERADO LOANER WITH THE SAME ACCESSORY PACKAGE AND THAT CAMERA DID THE SAME THING. THE DEALER NOTED THAT THEY TESTED MULTIPLE SIMILAR MODEL VEHICLES AND THEY ALL PERFORMED THE SAME WAY. THE DEALER MENTIONED IT OCCURRING ON THE MODEL WITH THE SMALLER DISPLAY SCREEN AND THAT THIS ISSUE WAS NOT OCCURRING WITH THE LARGER DISPLAY SCREEN. MY CONCERN IS HAVING CHILDREN IF BACKING UP AND THE SCREEN MOMENTARILY BLANKS OUT I LOSE REAR BACKUP CAMERA VISION CAUSING A POTENTIALLY FATAL CATASTROPHE. THE DEALER SAID THEY ARE UNABLE TO RESOLVE THE ISSUE AT THIS TIME. THE VEHICLE STARTED DOING THIS WITH LESS THAN 20MILES ON IT AND NOW WITH APPROXIMATELY 300 MILES ON IT THE ISSUE CONTINUES. I AM CONCERNED THAT A FATAL ACCIDENT COULD OCCUR. I RESPECTFULLY REQUEST THIS ISSUE BE RESOLVED AND ADVOCATE ON BEHALF OF THE CONSUMER FOR GM TO FIX THIS ISSUE. THANK YOU VERY MUCH!
