BEEN HAVING PROBLEMS SLOWLY WITH THE BATTERY RUNNING OUT BECAUSE SOMETHING IS STILL RUNNING IN THE VEHICLE BUT EVERYTHING IS OFF. THE GAS GAUGE GEAR CONTROL LIGHTING ON THE PANEL DOOR ON THE PASSENGER SIDE WILL NOT LOCK SPEEDOMETER IS NOT WORKING GAS GAUGE IS NOT WORKING WAS CHECKED BY A MECHANIC AND HE ADDRESS THAT SOMETHING IS NOT CONSTANT RUNNING EVEN THOUGH EVERYTHING IS TURNED OFF THAT CAUSE THE BATTERY TO RUN DOWN WHEN IT IS OFF. ALSO THE LIGHTS DON'T LIGHT ON THE RIGHT SIDE STAYS ON AND NEVER GOES OFF WHEN RUNNING THE VEHICLE. I NOTICED THIS ON A LOT OF 2500 CHEVY TRUCKS. WE HAVE TAKEN THIS VEHICLE IN TO BE CHECK. THE ISSUE I'M REPORTING TOOK PLACE IN MY 2003 CHEVY SILVERADO 2500HD VIN: [XXX] BUT THE VEHICLE ITSELF WAS NOT AT FAULT. THE PROBLEM WAS FROM A EVERSTART MAXX BATTERY SERIAL# JCH1600480782 MANUFACTURED BY JOHNSON CONTROLS INC, SOLD BY WALMART. I NOTICED A PROBLEM ON 7/25/2017 AFTER DRIVING MY VEHICLE ON THE HIGHWAY WHEN NEEDING TO USE THE WINDSHIELD WASHER TO CLEAN INSECTS OFF TO IMPROVE VISIBILITY. WHEN I USED THE CONTROL TO ACTIVATE THE WINDSHIELD WASHER NOTHING HAPPENED. AFTER ARRIVING HOME I ATTEMPTED TO FILL THE WASHER FLUID BUT IT WAS ALREADY HALF FULL. I LOOKED UNDERNEATH THE TRUCK AND NOTICED LEAKING WASHER FLUID. I THOUGHT MAYBE THERE WAS A LEAK SOMEWHERE SO I INVESTIGATED IT. TO GET TO THE WASHER BOTTLE THE BATTERY MUST BE REMOVED AND WHEN REMOVED IT WAS EVIDENT THAT THE BATTERY WAS LEAKING ACID EVERYWHERE. SOME ACID DID GET ON MY CLOTHING AND ATE THROUGH IT BUT THANKFULLY NONE MADE CONTACT WITH MY SKIN. THE BATTERY SITS ABOVE THE WASHER BOTTLE, PUMP, LINES, AND BATTERY TRAY - ALL OF THESE COMPONENTS WERE DESTROYED BY LEAKING ACID. I HAVE BEEN IN CONTACT WITH JOHNSON CONTROLS INC, THE MAKER OF THE BATTERY AND THEY SEEM DISINTERESTED IN WHAT HAPPENED. I HAVE SAVED ALL DAMAGED PARTS, RECEIPTS, AND CORRESPONDENCE SO FAR. IN THE FOLLOWING PICTURES YOU WILL SEE THE WHITE CORROSION FROM THE ACID LEAK AND THE PARTS THAT WERE DESTROYED LEAVING THE WINDSHIELD WASHER INOPERABLE WHILE DRIVING AND REDUCING VISIBILITY. I'LL ALSO INCLUDE A PICTURE OF THE SHIRT THAT CAME INTO CONTACT WITH ACID WHEN LIFTING THE BATTERY OUT AND THE HOLES IT ATE THROUGH THE FABRIC. THE SPEEDOMETER AND TACHOMETER WERE ACTING ERRATICALLY, SPEEDOMETER WOULD READ 110 MPH AT NORMAL HIGHWAY SPEED, THE TACHOMETER WOULD READ 0- 1000 RPM AT NORMAL HIGHWAY SPEEDS, HAD TO SEND CLUSTER FOR REPAIR. MAIN GROUNDING STRAP WAS BROKEN DUE TO EXCESSIVE CORROSION AND REPLACED AFTER BEING TOWED TO DEALER. AIR BAG SERVICE LIGHT IS ON INTERMITTENTLY WHILE DRIVING, PROBLEM TO BE RESOLVED.

GROUNDING CABLE TO THE ENGINE BLOCK NEEDED TO BE REPLACED DUE TO EXCESSIVE CORROSION. EXHAUST SYSTEM FROM ENGINE BLOCK TO TAIL PIPE HAS BEEN REPLACED, INCLUDING BOTH MANIFOLDS, DUE TO RUST. THE FRONT AND REAR BUMPERS ARE RUSTING THROUGH. NONE OF THESE DEFECTS HAVE RESULTED IN ANY ACCIDENTS.

THE MORE I PRESS THE ACCELERATOR IT WOULD DO NOTHING BUT ALMOST COST MY WIFE A HEART ATTACK FROM THE BIG TRUCKS BLOWING THERE HORN AND FEARING THE DAY LIGHTS OUT OF MY FAMILY. AT FREEWAY SPEEDS I NOTICED THE OIL PRESSURE HAD DROPPED TO ALMOST 2 OUT OF 10 ON THE PRESSURE GAUGE. I STOPPED AS SOON AS POSSIBLE AND LET THE ENGINE COOL FOR 20 MINUTES. I CHECKED THE OIL LEVEL AND COLOR. IT WAS OK IN BOTH RESPECTS. AFTER ANOTHER 30 MINUTES I RESTARTED THE ENGINE AND CONTINUED HOME. I WATCHED THE PRESSURE GAGE FOR ANOTHER HOUR AND SAW THE PRESSURE READING CONTINUE TO FALL TO A DANGEROUS LEVEL BUT THERE WAS NOTHING I COULD DO. THE NEXT DAY I TOOK THE TRUCK TO THE CHEVY DEALER IN EL CENTRO, CA 92243 FOR THEIR ANALYSIS. THEY SAID IT WAS ONLY POOR OIL AND NEEDED CHANGING. I LET THEM SERVICE THE TRUCK AS THEY WISHED. THEY ALSO SCANNED (SWEPT) THE GAUGES AND CHANGED THE OIL AND SENT ME ON MY WAY. THE NEXT DAY IT DID THE SAME THING. I DID NOT RETURN TO THE DEALER AS I WAS NOT PREPARED FOR AN ARGUMENT. *TR

WE WERE EXTREMELY LUCKY NOT TO HAVE BEEN KILLED. I RESEARCHED THIS AND FOUND THAT MANY OWNERS OF THE 2003 CHEVY SILVERADO 2500HD HAD THE SAME PROBLEM. WE SPENT A LOT OF MONEY AT PENSKE CHEVROLET, AND ACCORDING TO THEM, THEY DON'T KNOW HOW TO FIX IT. WE BOUGHT THE TRUCK IN 8/2013, WITHOUT ANY WARRANTY AND THIS PROBLEM WAS NOT DISCLOSED TO US. SINCE 12/2013, THE PROBLEM HAS BECOME MORE FREQUENT AND NOW WE DON'T DRIVE THE VEHICLE BECAUSE IT IS JUST TOO DANGEROUS. WHILE RETURNING HOME FROM A 2 WEEK VACATION (30 MILES FROM HOME) SLOWED DOWN TO MAKE A RIGHT TURN ON A CITY STREET IN WOODLAND, CA, THE TRUCK JUST SHUT DOWN, NO STEERING, NO BRAKES, NO ENGINE, TOTAL ELECTRICAL SHUTDOWN. IT WAS EVERYTHING I COULD DO TO MAKE THE TURN AND PULL TO THE RIGHT. AT THE TIME I WAS PULLING MY 2009 BIGHORN FIFTH WHEEL TRAILER. IT WAS A SCARY TIME. I FINALLY STOPPED, LUCKY THERE WAS NO CARS PARKED ON THE RIGHT NEAR THE CURB. I PUT THE TRANSMISSION IN NEUTRAL AND RESTARTED THE ENGINE. THEN WE CONTINUED THE TRIP HOME TO WINTERS, CA. I TOOK THE TRUCK TO IMLER DIESEL IN SACRAMENTO TO CHECK THE ENGINE OUT. THEY REPLACED THE INJECTORS WHICH WE HAD AGREED TO DO PRIOR TO MAKING THE TWO WEEK TRIP. THE NEXT TRIP WAS TO BODEGA BAY ON JANUARY 14, 2014. WE TRAVELED ABOUT 100 MILES. AGAIN WE WERE PULLING OUR FIFTH WHEEL TRAILER. SLOWING DOWN FROM 55 MPH TO 15 MPH, PREPARING TO MAKE A LEFT TURN IN DORAN BEACH PARK AT BODEGA BAY, THE TRUCK SHUT DOWN AGAIN.I CAME SO CLOSE TO HITTING A TREE. ONCOMING TRAFFIC STOPPED JUST IN TIME AS THE SPEED LIMIT AT 55 MPH SEEMED TO SEE WHAT WAS HAPPENING GIVING ME TIME TO RESTART AND MOVE OFF THE HIGHWAY. MY WIFE AND I WERE BOTH SHAKEN UP A BIT, BUT ALSO FEELING VERY LUCKY NOT HAVING A CRASH. WE CONTINUED HOME 4 DAYS LATER. WE PARKED THE TRUCK.THE MILEAGE WAS 143579 AT THE START OF THE TRIP AND 143819 AT END. I HAVE NOT USED THE TRUCK SINCE. I DO NOT FEEL IT IS SAFE TO DRIVE. A FRIEND WAS DRIVING MY TRUCK IN A RESIDENTIAL NEIGHBORHOOD. HE WAS ONLY GOING 20 MPH WHEN THE GAS LIGHT CAME ON BUT THE NEEDLE SAID IT HAD HALF A TANK. ALL OF A SUDDEN THE RADIO LOCKED UP AND ALL THE NEEDLES ON THE DASH STARTED GOING CRAZY ALL THE EMBLEMS ON THE DASH LITE UP. WE PARKED AND TURNED OFF THE TRUCK. AS SOON AS WE WENT TO TURN BACK WE HAD JUST STARTED IT NOT EVEN 3 MINUTES LATER ALL OF THE GAUGES AND LIGHTS ON THE TRUCK IT STARTED FREAKING OUT AGAIN AND NOW THE DRIVER SIDE MIRROR AND WINDOW CONTROL WOULD NO LONGER WORK. I BOUGHT THE TRUCK IN NOVEMBER IN 2007, I HAD THE TRUCK APPROXIMATELY A MONTH AND THE SPEEDOMETER STARTED BOUNCING AROUND AND IN ABOUT A WEEK LATER IT STUCK AT 117 MPH AND HAS NOT MOVED SINCE. THEN AT ABOUT 110,000 MILES THE ENTIRE INSTRUMENT PANEL WOULD GO OUT, ALL THE GAUGES AND THE ODOMETER, THE SIGNAL LIGHTS AND THE BACK LIGHTING STILL WORKS, BUT NOTHING ELSE THE FUEL GAUGE, OIL GAUGE, TRANSMISSION TEMP GAUGE, TACHOMETER NONE OF THESE WILL WORK NOW. I WOULD JUST LIKE TO KNOW HOW IT IS THAT THIS IS A HUGE OVER ALL PROBLEM OF THE VEHICLES IN THE CERTAIN YEAR, AND MODEL. BUT THE VEHICLE DOES NOT HAVE LESS THAN 70,000 MILES THE MANUFACTURER WILL NOT STAND UP TO THE MISTAKE AND FIX IT, I UNDERSTAND THAT I BOUGHT IT USED BUT ITS AND ON GOING PROBLEM IN THE CLUSTER FOR HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS OF VEHICLES, I THINK IT SHOULD BE HANDLED BY GMC. I HAVE OWNED 8 GMC VEHICLES AND USE TO THINK I WOULD NOT BY ANYTHING ELSE, BUT MY MIND IS ABOUT TO CHANGE OVER THIS ISSUE. I HAVE A CHEVY SILVERADO 03, 2500HD AND I BELIEVE THERE IS A DEFECT IN THE HEATER BLOWER MOTOR RESISTOR AND WIRE HARNESS THAT CONNECTS TO IT. I RECENTLY CHANGED A BLOWER MOTOR RESISTER BACK IN SEPTEMBER, NOW HERE IS DECEMBER AND THE SAME RESISTOR HAD BLOWN AGAIN. SO I REPLACED WITH NEW ONE, AND NOW THE WIRE HARNESS THAT CONNECTS TO IT IS HEATING UP TO APPOINT THAT YOU CAN SMELL BURNING WIRES. I HAD CALLED MY LOCAL DEALERSHIP AND THEY TELL ME THAT THEY SEEN THIS PROBLEM ON A LOT OF GM VEHICLES AND WANT TO CHARGE ME $160 TO CHANGE THE BAD WIRE HARNESS AND BLOWER MOTOR RESISTOR. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. A PASSENGER IN THE OTHER VEHICLE WAS INJURED. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO AN INDEPENDENT REPAIR SHOP WHERE THE BODY DAMAGES WERE REPAIRED BUT THE FAILURE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED. THE CONTACT ALSO STATED THAT THE FUEL GAUGE AND THE SPEEDOMETER INTERMITTENTLY DISPLAYED AN IMPROPER READING. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 90,000 AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 104,000. DROVE VEHICLE AND NOTICED FAN BLOWER WAS NOT WORKING, LOCATED FUSE FOR BLOWER, PULLED AND VERIFIED FUSE IS OK. PUT FUSE BACK IN CHECKED BLOWER AND FAN WAS WORKING. THE NEXT DAY MY HUSBAND DROVE THE VEHICLE FOR APPROX.10 MIN AND SMOKE STARTED BILLOWING OUT FROM UNDER THE DASH (PASS. SIDE). HE TURNED AROUND, CAME HOME AND WE USED A FIRE EXTINGUISHER TO PUT OUT THE FIRE UNDER THE GLOVE BOX AND ALSO COVERED BY A PLASTIC COVERING NOT QUICKLY ABLE TO BE REMOVED. DISCONNECTED THE BATTERIES AND REMOVED THE COVER EXPOSING THE WIRING. WE CAN SEE THE WIRING AND RELAY THAT HAVE MELTED. CALLED GM (11/3, 9 - 10 BUS. MY TRUCK HAD 118,735 MILES ON IT SO ESINGER WOULD NOT COVER IT UNDER THE RECALL PROGRAM. I TOOK THE VEHICLE FOR A FUEL SYSTEM SERVICING TO A GM DEALER IN SAN ANTONIO TX AND ASKED THEM TO CHECK THE OIL PRESSURE PROBLEM. THE SERVICE MANAGER STATED THE PROBLEM WAS A PRESSURE SWITCH. I ASKED IT TO BE REPAIRED ALONG WITH THE FUEL SYSTEM SERVICING. AT THE TIME MY VEHICLE HAD APPROXIMATELY 65,000 MILES. THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT FAILED TO ATTEMPT A REPAIR ON THE OIL PRESSURE GAGE EVEN THOUGH THE OTHER ITEMS WERE REPAIRED. I ELECTED NOT TO LET THEM KEEP MY VEHICLE LONGER TO AFFECT THE REPAIR. IT WOULD COST APPROXIMATELY $700 TO REPLACE. I ELECTED NOT TO HAVE IT REPLACED DUE TO THE COST. AT THIS TIME MY VEHICLE HAD 71,000 MILES. IN THE SUMMER OF 2007 MY SPEEDOMETER STARTED TO MALFUNCTION BY DISPLAYING THE WRONG SPEED OR STICKING AT ZERO. I AGAIN TOOK THE VEHICLE TO THE DEALER WHO AGAIN SAID IT WAS THE INSTRUMENT CLUSTER. SHORTLY AFTER, I RECEIVED A LETTER FROM GM STATING THIS WAS A KNOWN ISSUE AND IT WOULD REPLACE OR REPAIR THE MALFUNCTION FREE OF CHARGE ON ANY VEHICLE WITH LESS THAN 70,000 MILES. I CONTACTED MY LOCAL GM DEALER TO SEE IF MY VEHICLE COULD BE REPAIRED UNDER THIS SINCE IT ORIGINALLY MALFUNCTIONED WHEN THERE WAS LESS THAN 70,000 MILES ON THE VEHICLE. THIS IS A WELL KNOWN AND A WELL DOCUMENTED PROBLEM, AND I BELIEVE IT TO BE A SEVERE NATIONWIDE SAFETY ISSUE WHICH NEEDS TO BE ADDRESSED TO AVOID POSSIBLE INJURY OR DEATH. GM SERVICE REQUEST: 71-482347989 SILVERADO SAFETY HAZARD - A PROBLEM I AM EXPERIENCING WITH MY WIFE'S 2003 SILVERADO 2500 HD IS EXTENSIVE AND DANGEROUS. THE SPEEDOMETER IS OFTEN STUCK AT RANDOM SPEEDS WHEN AT REST, AND WHEN IN MOTION IS UNRELIABLE. INFORMATION THAT I HAVE REVIEWED ON SEVERAL SITES INDICATES THAT THERE IS A KNOWN PROBLEM WITH THE STEPPER MOTORS IN THE INSTRUMENT CLUSTER THAT HANDLE ALL GAUGES ON THIS VEHICLE, AND THAT THERE ARE SEVERAL TSBS THAT ARE RELATED TO THIS PROBLEM IN SEVERAL GM VEHICLES. NHTSA ALSO HAS SEVERAL DOZEN, IF NOT HUNDREDS OF REPORTS OF THIS PROBLEM. THERE ARE ALSO SEVERAL PETITIONS IN PROGRESS TO DEMAND RECALLS AND / OR MEDIA INVESTIGATIONS. ALTHOUGH MY VEHICLE IS OUT OF WARRANTY, THIS APPEARS TO BE A DEFECT WORTHY OF A RECALL. WE SPECIFICALLY TRADED UP TO THIS VEHICLE BECAUSE WIFE HAULS A HORSE TRAILER WITH TWO OR THREE HORSES THROUGH MOUNTAINOUS TERRAIN TO HORSE EVENTS FOR HER, MY DAUGHTER, AND MY DAUGHTER'S FRIENDS. DURING NORMAL HIGHWAY AND OR CITY DRIVING, THE SPEEDOMETER WILL REGISTER A RATE OF SPEED HIGHER THEN ACTUAL. THIS SPEED HAS BEEN RECORDED AS ANYWHERE FROM 5 TO 50 MPH HIGH. WHEN THE SPEEDOMETER IS READING HIGH, UPON STOPPING, THE SPEEDOMETER WILL REMAIN AT THE AMOUNT OF SPEED THAT IT IS REGISTERING HIGH. FOR EXAMPLE, IF TRAVELING AT 30 MPH AND THE SPEEDOMETER READS 50 MPH, WHEN THE VEHICLE IS STOPPED, THE SPEEDOMETER WILL STILL READ 20 MPH. ONCE THIS PROBLEM STARTS, IT IS VERY CONSISTENT ON ITS REGULARITY. A SIMPLE SOLUTION IS TO REPEATEDLY TURN THE VEHICLE OFF AND RESTART IT. THE SPEEDOMETER WILL DROP 5 MPH WITH EACH CYCLE UNTIL IT REACHES 0 MPH. HOWEVER, THE PROBLEM WILL LIKELY REOCCUR ON THE TRIP THAT I AM ABOUT TO MAKE. MY COWORKER IS HAVING THE EXACT SAME PROBLEM IN A VERY SIMILAR VEHICLE. UPON CONTACTING THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT AT MY LOCAL DEALERSHIP, I WAS TOLD THIS PROBLEM HAD BEEN SEEN ON OTHER OCCASIONS AND THE SOLUTION IS TO REPLACE THE INSTRUMENT CLUSTER AT AN APPROXIMATE COST OF $600.00. *JB

ERRATIC SPEEDOMETER READINGS. DRIVING ON THE INTERSTATE AT 55 MPH WITH CRUISE CONTROL ENGAGED. POSTED SPEED LIMIT INCREASED TO 65. USED THE CRUISE CONTROL TO INCREMENT MY SPEED. SPEED INCREASED, SPEEDOMETER READING DID NOT INCREASE, BUT KEPT GETTING LOWER. STAYED WITH SPEED OF TRAFFIC BUT SPEEDOMETER READING SLOWLY FELL TO 35 MPH. STOPPED, SHUT OFF THE VEHICLE AND WAITED 5 MINUTES. UPON RESTART, SPEEDOMETER APPEARED TO BE FUNCTIONING CORRECTLY. GOT BACK ON THE INTERSTATE AND UP TO 65 MPH. WHEN I DECELERATED WHILE EXITING THE INTERSTATE, THE SPEEDOMETER REMAINED AT 65 MPH. PARKED IN MY DRIVEWAY, THE SPEEDOMETER READS 65 MPH. WHEN DRIVEN, SPEEDOMETER INCREASES IMMEDIATELY FROM 65 MPH AND HIGHER. *NM

ON RARE OCCASIONS THE SPEEDOMETER WILL REGISTER A LESSER SPEED FOR A SHORT PERIOD OF TIME BUT THE NORMAL SPEED SHOWN IS 120 MPH OR HIGHER. THE ODOMETER WORKS WITHOUT A PROBLEM AS WELL AS ALL OTHER ELECTRICAL FUNCTIONS OF THE SPEEDOMETER OTHER THAN ACTUAL SPEED. PER MY MOST RECENT CONTACT WITH A GENERAL MOTORS DEALER SERVICE DEPARTMENT (MR. GOODWRENCH) THAT DEALER IS SEEING AN AVERAGE OF ONE SIMILAR VEHICLE PER DAY WITH THE SAME PROBLEM. NOT KNOWING THE ACTUAL TRAVELING SPEED OF THE VEHICLE WILL CERTAINLY LEAD TO TRAFFIC ACCIDENTS AND INJURIES IF THIS HAS NOT ALREADY HAPPENED. I'VE NOW HAD TWO ESTIMATES TO REPAIR THE SPEEDOMETER. THE FIRST ESTIMATE WAS IN 12/2004 AND THE ESTIMATE WAS $1,000.00+ AND APPROXIMATELY 6 WEEKS IN THE SHOP. THE 2ND ESTIMATE WAS IN 12/2006 BY AN OUT OF STATE DEALER (WHO SAYS HE GETS ONE NEW REPAIR DAILY) AND THE COST WAS APPROXIMATELY $500 BUT IT WOULD TAKE SEVERAL DAYS TO DETERMINE WHAT COMPONENT PART WAS NEEDED AND SINCE I WAS TRAVELING INTERSTATE ON A YEAR END VACATION I COULDN'T WAIT FOR THE REPAIR. THIS DEALER SUGGESTED SOMEONE SHOULD CONTACT YOUR OFFICE BECAUSE THEY FELT A NON-OPERATIONAL SPEEDOMETER WAS A MAJOR SAFETY PROBLEM WITH THE POTENTIAL FOR SEVERE INJURY OR DEATH. *JB

CONSUMER COMPLAINT CONCERNING TRANSMISSION FAILURES ON 2003 SILVERADO. *TS THE TRANSMISSION FLUID WAS BURNT, THE REVERSE GEAR WAS INOPERABLE AND THE TRANSMISSION SHIFTER WAS LOOSE. THE POWER STEERING FLUID WAS LOW. FLUID WAS LEAKING FROM THE GEAR BOX. THE FRONT SEAL ON THE POWER STEERING PUMP WAS WORN AND LEAKING, AS WELL AS THE LOWER HOSE. THE WATER PUMP GASKET AND LOWER RADIATOR HOSE WAS LEAKING. THE BATTERY WAS REPLACED BECAUSE IT WOULD NOT HOLD A CHARGE. THE A/C WOULD ONLY BLOW OUT AIR FROM THE DEFROST VENTS. THE A/C HEATER MODE DOOR ACTUATOR WAS WORN. THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT ILLUMINATED. THE FUEL FILTER WAS REPLACED. THE PANEL ON THE DRIVERS SEAT WAS WARPED. THE TIRES WERE REPLACED, HOWEVER MONTHS LATER ONE OF THE TIRES DEVELOPED A SLOW LEAK, DUE TO A PIN HOLE LOCATED IN THE SIDEWALL. THE REAR PADS AND ROTORS WERE REPLACED. THE FRONT AND REAR SHOCKS WERE REPLACED. THE TAIL GATE SUPPORT CABLES WERE REPLACED. THE REAR TIRE BLEW OUT WHILE DRIVING. THE SECOND ROW SEAT BELT WAS INOPERATIVE. *JB

THE VEHICLE HAS BEEN IN THE DEALERSHIP 5 TIMES FOR THE ENGINE POWER FAILURE. THE DEALER REPLACED THREE TIMES THE WIRING HARNESS TO THE THROTTLE POSITION SENSOR, THROTTLE BODY, POWER TRAIN CONTROL MODULE, THROTTLE ACTUATOR, CONTROL MODULE, ALSO, THE IGNITION SWITCH WAS REPLACED AND THE ENGINE WAS STILL LOSING POWER. THE MANUFACTURER HAS BEEN CONTACTED, AND THE CUSTOMER SERVICE DEPARTMENT WAS VERY UNWILLING TO HELP OR PROVIDE THE ADDRESS TO THE REGIONAL OFFICE. THE CUSTOMER SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE WAS VERY RUDE AND REFUSED TO TRANSFER THE CALL TO HIS SUPERVISOR UPON REQUEST OF THE CONSUMER. *AK

THIS WAS ELECTRIC AND COMPUTERIZED AND SOME SORT OF SIGNAL WENT THROUGH THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL AND CAUSED THIS FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WILL IDLE, BUT LOST POWER.
