My pickup truck has a Duramax diesel engine with a CP4 diesel injection pump. That pump has not failed yet in my truck. However it has been known to fail in numerous other GM vehicles with Duramax engines and when it does fail the engine comes to a complete stop and cannot be restarted. This is a potentially hazardous even fatal situation. Repair if the pump fails is very expensive - $12,000 to $14,000 in some cases. I would like GM to replace the injection pump at my dealership to ensure this known failure does not occur. My pickup truck is otherwise in excellent condition.

IN NOVEMBER AROUND THE 20TH -BATTERY WENT DEAD-CHARGED BATTERY AND TOOK VEHICLE TO BROTHERS AND STARTED TO SHIFT FUNNY-BATTERY WENT DEAD AGAIN-CHARGED AND DROVE HOME -THEN WENT GOT NEW BATTERY -PUT IN AND IT WOULD NOT SHIFT RIGHT SO DROVE IT A LITTLE WHILE TO SEE IF IT WOULD STOP MADE NOISE AND TAKEN TO GARAGE IN SOUTH WAYNE-TOLD US SAID THE TRANSMISSION WAS SHOT-HE HAULED IT TO DUBUQUE IOWA TRANSMISSION SHOP-THEY TOOK IT OUT OF TRUCK AND OVERHAULED IT WITH HEAVY DUTY PARTS-COST OF 6,330.00=MILES AT TIME 51500 BACK MARCH 28 2025-WORKS BEAUTIFUL AS IT SHOULD-SCANED BILL AND ATTACHED-WE NEED REIMBURSEMENT FOR COST.

Steering great box replaced steering still not stable, electrical glitches such as stability trac service message, hill assist, breaking assist messages pop up and then disappear constantly, power steering pump, hydro boost and master cylinder replaced multiple times, no sound emitting for seat belt, door chime , turn signals with no accessory mode power when key is turned. Vehicle has been in and out of shop for repairs and noone can figure out the sound or electrical issues and keep replacing the steering and power steering components. When using driver side window switch all dashboard lights increase in brightness then dim back down

I was pulling a camper in in downtown Dallas Tx and the TCM failed was most ran I’m not sure how times trying to get clear of traffic to safe place on the side of the road.Dealership told me I was just she it out of luck cause there not making the part any more and that’s when I found out GM has known about this for a long time and has done nothing to fix it.

I was driving on Interstate 15 northbound on March 6th, 2023. I was driving 70 mph, my truck dash had a message come on that said Stabilitrak needs service. Once this came on the truck dropped down to 45 mph during rush hour traffic. My truck is currently at Young Chevrolet in Layton, Utah because this happened again last week on Monday April 3rd, 2023. The Stabilitrak message came on and then my PRNDML indicator disappeared. I could not get the truck to go into any gear besides neutral and drive. I had to shut the truck off, wait then restart it. This happened when I was trying to back the truck up into my driveway and I was almost hit by another vehicle. The technician at Young chevrolet said my TRANSMISSION CONTROL MODULE WAS BAD, from my own research of online forums and social media pages, there are numerous others with the same exact problem. Others have gone months to almost a year without their trucks back on the road and GMC and Chevrolet do not have a replacement part, nor can they make any repairs to this module. Some have been told by the end of april they will have replacements, others have been told July-October of this year. This affects model trucks 2500HD and 3500HD years 2009-2015. This HAS TO BE A RECALL AND GMC/CHEVROLET/ACDELCO NEED TO REMEDY THIS PROBLEM ASAP.

Driving 70 on interstate 15 and the stabilitrak message came on the dash, truck went into limp mode, the truck went from 70 mph to 45 mph really fast. This was during rush hour traffic and I could have gotten in a wreck. This is a transmission control module and GM and Chevrolet DO NOT HAVE THE REPLACEMENT PART. It’s on a nationwide back order

The contact owns a 2015 Chevrolet Silverado 2500. The contact stated while driving 50 MPH and shifting into the 2nd gear, the vehicle delayed while shifting, with the check engine warning light illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the dealer and the contact was informed that the torque converter needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired. The manufacturer was contacted but offered no assistance. The contact was informed that the warranty had expired. The failure mileage was 69,971.

Fuel pump cracked under normal wear and tear under 60,000 miles leaving me stranded for a week and costing $1600 to replace. Transmission is very unresponsive and soupy, sometimes it kicks in late, other times not at all. Ive read this is a known issue with my vehicle.

TRUCK HAS 120,000 MILES AND ON THE WAY HOME FROM SHOPPING ALL THE SUDDEN MY TRUCK WOULDN'T SHIFT PASS 3 RPM'S AND BARLEY MADE IT THE HILL. AFTER STOPPING TWICE TO LET THE TRUCK REST I MADE IT HOME. THE DTC CODE WAS P0796 PRESSURE CONTROL SOLENOID 'C' PERFORMANCE OR STUCK OFF OBD-II TROUBLE CODE. SEVERAL OTHER REPORTS ARE FOUND WITH THE SAME ISSUE SOME BELIEVE IT'S THE TORQUE CONVERTER. I REALLY USE TO STAND BEHIND GM BUT MY DISAPPOINTMENT ON THIS EXPENSIVE TRUCK HAS REALLY CHANGED MY OPINION.

WAS ON A TRIP AND THE ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON, WE STOPPED AND CHECKED EVERYTHING AND CAME UP WITH NOTHING. TOOK IT TO THE GARAGE AND WAS TOLD THEY PUT IT ON THE MACHINE AND IT CAME UP THE TRANSMISSION, THE GARAGE PULLED THE TRANSMISSION PAN AND SAID IT HAD METAL SHAVINGS IN THE PAN. IT HAS 64,000 ON IT AND THEY SAY THERE IS NO WARRANTY AND WE ARE PRETTY SURE WE BOUGHT AN EXTENDED WARRANTY BUT PAPERS ARE IN THE TRUCK WHICH WE DON'T HAVE ACCESS TO- EITHER WAY IT SHOULD BE COVERED WHETHER OR NOT WE HAVE A WARRANTY WHICH THEY SAY EXPIRED IN MARCH. THE TRUCK HAS NO SIGNS OF TRANSMISSION FAILURE. IT IS AT THE GARAGE GETTING A NEW TRANSMISSION IN IT WHICH IS 4600, WHICH I FEEL WE SHOULD GET SOME KIND OF REIMBURSEMENT SINCE IT SHOULD BE COVERED. THE GARAGE HAS THE TRUCK AND WE DON'T HAVE THE PAPERWORK YET-THIS IS ALSO THE DEALERSHIP WHERE WE PURCHASED THE TRUCK.

WHILE DRIVING ON CRUISE CONTROL AROUND 70 MPH MY CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON. ABOUT 20 SECONDS LATER AN ALARM SOUNDED AND A MESSAGE IN MY DASH SAYING TRANSMISSION FLUID HOT AND TO IDLE ENGINE IMMEDIATELY. I IMMEDIATELY PULLED OVER AND CALLED THE DEALERSHIP WHERE I PURCHASED IT AND HAD ALL SERVICES. ALTHOUGH THE SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE I SPOKE WITH SAID IT PROBABLY WAS JUST A SENSOR, I ELECTED TO HAVE THE VEHICLE TOWED TO THE DEALERSHIP FOR REPAIRS. THE NEXT DAY THE SAME SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE ADVISED ME THAT MY TORQUE CONVERTER WENT OUT CAUSING MY FRONT PUMP AND TRANSMISSION MODULE TO GO OUT AND I NEEDED A NEW TRANSMISSION ASSEMBLY. MY VEHICLE HAS 43,000 MILES AND I RARELY TOW A 3,000 LB BOAT. I WAS THEN TOLD MY 5 YEAR 60,000 MILE WARRANTY EXPIRED 26 DAYS PRIOR TO THIS ISSUE. AFTER RESEARCHING, I FOUND THAT THIS APPEARS TO BE A PROBLEM WITH THE 1500S. THE DEALERSHIP IS CHARGING $6,100 AND GM IS ONLY WILLING TO COVER $1,800.

MY TRUCK HAS BEEN SHIFTING INTO NEUTRAL WHEN I AM ACCELERATING AND THE ONLY WAY I HAVE BEEN ABLE TO GET IT OUT OF NEUTRAL IS TO MANUALLY SHIFT THE TRUCK INTO NEUTRAL AND THEN BACK INTO DRIVE. THIS CAN BE VERY DANGEROUS FOR ME BECAUSE I COULD BE EASILY REAR ENDED AT A STOPLIGHT. THIS HAS BEEN HAPPENING FOR A FEW DAYS NOW. I JUST BOUGHT THE TRUCK AND IT ONLY HAS 51000 MILES.

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE TRANSMISSION GEAR WOULD NOT CHANGE CORRECTLY. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 71,000.

THE HEAD LIGHTS ON A DARK RAINY NIGHT ARE SO POOR IT IS A HAZARD TO DRIVE, IF YOU MEET ANOTHER AUTOMOBILE JUST HOLD ON AND HOPE YOU DO NOT HIT EACH OTHER, AS YOU CAN'T TELL YOU ARE GOING TO. I HAVE HAD IT BACK FOR REPAIR BUT THEY TELL ME THERE IS NO FIX FOR A CHEVY, IF I HAD A GMC THERE IS A FIX. MY RADIO WILL NOT WORK WHEN ITS REALLY COLD OUT. MY TRANSMISSION SHIFTS HARSHLY AND ENGINE FLUTTERS BETWEEN GEARS. WHEN I SLOW DOWN COMING INTO TOWN I FEEL A HARD DOWN SHIFT, ALSO IF GOING SLOW AND CLIMBING A HILL THAT IS WHEN IT FEELS AS IF THE ENGINE HAS A SMALL SKIP BUT IT IS THE TRANSMISSION NOT SHIFTING INTO A LOWER GEAR. THERE IS ALSO NO FIX FOR POOR SHIFTING.

I BOUGHT THIS TRUCK BRAND NEW. I STARTED HAVING PROBLEMS ABOUT 2000 MI. THE TRUCK HAS A MISS AND JERKS UNDER LOAD. IT HAS BEEN TO THE DEALER TWICE AND THEY TELL ME THE COMPUTER DOESN'T SHOW ANY TROUBLE CODES SO THERE IS NOTHING THEY CAN DO. ALSO ON OCCASION THE IGNITION KEY IS HOT TO THE TOUCH. NOW I HAVE TO TAKE IT IN AGAIN BECAUSE THE BRAKE PETAL MIGHT FALL OFF. WHAT A GREAT PRODUCT...GM I THINK BUILDS A LOT OF THESE PROBLEMS IN TO SAVE MONEY WITHOUT A CARE FOR THE CUSTOMER. JUNE 24, 2015 SAFE CAR.GOV ON AUGUST 14, 2014, I PURCHASED A 2015 CHEVROLET SILVERADO 2500 (102449) ON JUNE 30, 2014 AT SELMAN CHEVROLET (1800 EAST CHAPMAN, ORANGE CALIFORNIA, 92867 (714-633-3521). APPROXIMATELY 3 MONTHS LATER, I NOTICED RUST ON THE PAINTED FRAME OF THE TRUCK. I HAVE PURCHASED 5 CHEVROLET'S SINCE 2001 AND HAVE NEVER HAD ANY RUST ISSUES. AS I BEGAN TO LOOK THROUGHOUT THE UNDERCARRIAGE OF THE TRUCK, I NOTICED RUST ON ALL EXPOSED METAL AS WELL AS ON THE PAINTED METAL. WHAT CONCERNED ME RIGHT A WAY WAS THE AMOUNT OF RUST ON THE DRIVE SHAFT AND ON THE TRANSMISSION? I CONTACTED MY SALE PERSON [XXX] AND EXPLAINED WHAT I HAD FOUND. I EXPLAINED TO HIM ABOUT THE RUST UNDERNEATH THE VEHICLE. HE LOOKED UNDER THE TRUCK AND STATED "THAT'S EXCESSIVE. LET ME GET A MANAGER TO TAKE A LOOK AT THIS."[XXX] LEFT AND RETURNED WITH [XXX], SERVICE MANAGER. BEFORE CHUCK EVEN LOOKED UNDER THE VEHICLE, HE EXPLAINED THAT RUST WAS VERY NORMAL. I EXPLAINED TO CHUCK THAT I HAD OWNED MULTIPLE CHEVROLET'S AND NONE HAD RUST ON THEM. I EXPLAINED MY CONCERN THAT RUST TAKES DOWN THE VALUE OF A VEHICLE GREATLY AND IN CALIFORNIA, WE DON'T HAVE WEATHER ASSOCIATED WITH RUST, ESPECIALLY ON BRAND NEW CARS.
