WHILE TRAVELING , THE CONSUMER NOTICED SMOKE COMING OUT OF THE EXHAUST. THE DEALER WAS NOTIFIED AND A TECHNICIAN STATED THE ENGINE HEADS WERE CRACKED. *AK THE DEALER WAS CONTACTED AND GOT A MECHANIC WHO STATED THIS YEAR TRUCK WAS ALWAYS HAVING THESE PROBLEMS WITH THE ENGINE. THE CONSUMER WAS CONCERNED BECAUSE THEY DID NOT HAVE THE FUNDS TO REPAIR THE VEHICLE. IT COST APPROXIMATELY $4300.00 FOR REPAIRS. *CB *JB

I HAVE MADE COMPLAINTS TO CHEVROLET CUSTOMER ASSISTANCE REGARDING THE ENGINE FAILURE ON OUR 3/4 TON DIESEL TRUCK AND UNTIL THE TRUCK IS IN ENGINE FAILURE THE MECHANIC CANNOT DETERMINE THE CAUSE. MEAN WHILE I WAS TOLD UNTIL THE COMPUTER CAN DETERMINE THE CAUSE, NOTHING CAN BE DONE. *JB

CONSUMER (WHO IS A MECHANIC) PERFORMED OIL CHANGE ON HIS VEHICLE AND USED A PENNZOIL OIL FILTER, WHILE DRIVING THE CONSUMER HEARD A NOISE AND THE VEHICLE SHUT DOWN, CONSUMER SAW SMOKE AND LOOKED UNDER THE VEHICLE AND NOTICED THAT THE OIL FILTER WAS MISSING/FELL OFF, THE ENGINE SUFFERED DAMAGE DUE TO THE OIL FILTER FALLING OFF.

TRUCK AT THE DEALERSHIP AT THIS TIME. *AK THE TRUCK HAS HAD NOT ONLY INJECTOR PUMP FAILURES. STARTER , ALTERNATOR, FUEL PUMP, CLUTCH, PRESSURE PLATE, UNIVERSAL JOINTS, MASTER CYLINDER AND SPEEDOMETER SENDER ALSO HAD FAILED. *YH
