TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 1995 CHEVROLET SILVERADO. THE VEHICLE WAS EQUIPPED WITH AL CARDONE BRAKE CALIBERS, MODEL# A118-4300, A118-4299. WHILE THE CONTACT WAS TRAVELING APPROXIMATELY 40 MPH, THE BRAKE PEDAL WAS ENGAGED WITH NO POWER RESPONSE. THE VEHICLE CRASHED INTO THE REAR END OF THE PROCEEDING VEHICLE. THERE WERE NO PRIOR WARNINGS. THE CONTACT AND THE DRIVER IN THE OTHER VEHICLE WERE INJURED. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED FOR THE INCIDENT. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A LOCAL COLLISION CENTER. THE CAUSE OF FAILURE WAS CONTRIBUTED TO THE FRONT RIGHT CALIBERS STUCK IN AN OPEN POSITION. THE VEHICLE IDENTIFICATION NUMBER WAS UNKNOWN. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS UNKNOWN. UPDATED 5/3/10 *CN
CONSTANT REPAIR OF CHEVY TRUCK, REPLACED TRANSMISSION, COMPUTER, BRAKES SEVERAL TIMES, WIPER MOTOR, INTERIOR LIGHTS FAILED, AIR CONDITIONING, CLICKING NOISE FOR RE-CIRCULATION AIR FAN, DOOR DO NOT OPEN OR THEY STICK. *JB
WHEN SLOWING DOWN, ANTI LOCK BRAKES WILL LOCK UP OR MAY NOT RESPOND TO PEDAL APPLICATION. *AKTHE BRAKES WILL GO INTO ANTI LOCK MODE UNTLL THE ABS LIGHT ILLUMINATES. ONCE THE LIGHT ILLUMINATES THE BRAKES OPERATE FINE. THE ABS LIGHT STAYS ILLUMINATED. *JG

BRAKE ROTORS KEEP GOING OUT, VEHICLE IS UNABLE TO STOP.*AK CONSUMER STATES FRONT ROTORS OVER HEATED CAUSING THE SHOES TO BURN OFF. ROTORS, CALIPERS AND BRAKE SHOES WERE REPLACED TWICE IN A YEAR. *YH
THIS VEHICLE HAS HAD A PROBLEM WITH THE BRAKING SYSTEM SINCE PURCHASED. RIGHT REAR LOCKS WHENVER WEATHER IS DAMP, ROAD WET OR SLIPPERY. WHEN IT DOES THE ABS DOES NOT SEEM TO WORK AT ALL. NUMEROUS ATTEMPTS TO REPAIR, NO PROBLEM FOUND.
ENGINE JUST FAILS WITHOUT WARNING. FUEL INJECTION PUMP WAS REPLACED LAST YEAR .PUMP WAS REPLACED LAST WEEK, AND AFTER 75 MILES IT FAILED AGAIN. TRUCK AT THE DEALERSHIP AT THIS TIME. *AK THE TRUCK HAS HAD NOT ONLY INJECTOR PUMP FAILURES. STARTER , ALTERNATOR, FUEL PUMP, CLUTCH, PRESSURE PLATE, UNIVERSAL JOINTS, MASTER CYLINDER AND SPEEDOMETER SENDER ALSO HAD FAILED. *YH
DRIVER SIDE DOOR LATCH BROKE TWICE, TAIL GATE LATCH BROKE TWICE, HAZZARD LIGHT DEFECTIVE, ABS BRAKE LIGHT SIGNAL KEPT COMING ON
AS IT TURNS OUT MY OTHER GMC CAR (OLDS ALERO) ABS IS ALSO INOPERATIVE AT 40K MILES. GMC MAY HAVE A BIGGER PROBLEM. *AK

THE BRAKES PADS FAILED AT 35,000 MILES, DEALER WOULD NOT REPLACE, WE DID AND HAVE NOT HAD TO AGAIN NOW AT 84,000 MILES, AIR CONDITIONER RELAY SENSOR SWITCH WENT BAD, WE PAID TO HAVE REPLACED, WINDSHIELD WIPERS DO NOT COME ON HALF THE TIME, NOR DOES THE HORN DOES NOT WORK HALF THE TIME.
INTERMITTENTLY WHEN BRAKES ARE APPLIED ON WET AND SLIPPERY SURFACES FRONT WHEELS LOCK UP, RESULTING IN EXTENDED STOPPING DISTANCE. *AK
ABS LIGHT ILLUMINATED, INSPECTION DID NOT SHOW ANY PROBLEMS, HOWEVER VEHICLE ACCIDENT OCCURRED WHEN ABS LOCKED UP. MJS

MASTER CYLINDER IS DEFECTIVE. MASTER CYLINDER CONTROLS BRAKES AT THIS TIME, AND IT LEAKING BRAKES FLUID, ALSO, THE SEAT FRAME IS BREAKING ON DRIVER'S SIDE,AND VOLTAGE GAUGE IS NOT WORKING. *AK
BRAKES MAKING NOISE IN REAR, AN AXLE ALSO REPLACED. NLM
WHEN APPLYING THE BRAKES REAR END OF THE VEHICLE JUMPS. DEALER HAS REPLACED REAR BRAKES 4 TIMES, AND THE FRONT BRAKES HAVE BEEN REPLACED TWICE A YEAR. DLR CAN'T FIND CAUSE OF THE PROBLEM. *AK
TRANSMISSION LOCKED UP IN SECOND GEAR AND WOULD NOT SHIFT OUT OF GEAR UP OR DOWN. ALSO, ABS BRAKE SYSTEM HAS A DEFECT IN THE SYSTEM, CAUSING EXTENDED STOPPING DISTANCE WHEN PEDAL IS PUSHED. IN ADDITION, A/C UNIT REPLACED THREE TIMES/ ELECTRIC SEAT WIRING IS DEFECTIVE/ DOOR HANDLES KEEP BENDING WHEN ATTEMPTING TO OPEN DOORS, AND REAR SEAL LEAKAGE. REPAIR WORK AND REPLACEMENTS DONE AT OWNER'S EXPENSE. PROBLEMS STILL OCCUR. PROVIDE FURTHER INFORMATION. *AK
VEHICLE IS DECELERATING WHEN PUT IN DRIVE. WHEN GOING AROUND A SHARP CURB AT 20 MPH THE VEHICLE WILL DIE OUT WITHOUT PRIOR WARNING. ALSO, POWER BRAKES WENT OUT, AND THE CONSUMER ALMOST HAD AN ACCIDENT. *AK

WHILE DRIVING AT ABOUT 40 MPH VEHICLE WAS INVOLVED IN AN ACCIDENT. THE AIRBAGS DID NOT DEPLOY, THE BRAKES AND THE STEERING WHEEL LOCKED UP , CAUSING THE VEHICLE TO SPIN OUT OF CONTROL. *AK
