TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 1999 CHEVROLET SILVERADO. THE CONTACT STATED THAT UPON INSPECTION, IT WAS FOUND THAT THE ROTORS WERE SEVERELY FRACTURED AND THE WHEEL WELLS AS WELL AS THE ROCKER PANEL WAS CORRODED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHO PERFORMED UNKNOWN REPAIRS. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT CONTACTED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 7,000.

ON MY WAY HOME FROM A BOY SCOUT MEETING, I HEARD WHAT SOUNDED LIKE AN ELECTRIC MOTOR OR PUMP RUNNING CONTINUOUSLY AND THE CHECK ABS LIGHT WAS ON ON MY DASH BOARD OF MY 1999 CHEVROLET SILVERADO 2500 HD EXTENDED CAB 4X4. THE NEXT MORNING I TOOK IT TO A BRAKE SHOP AND THEY TESTED IT ON THE COMPUTER AND CONFIRMED THAT THE ABS SYSTEM HAD FAILED. IF GENERAL MOTORS PUT OUT A RECALL FOR THIS PART, I WAS NEVER NOTIFIED AND NEVER RECEIVED ANY RECALL NOTICE. I HAVE SINCE FOUND OUT THAT THE ABS SYSTEMS FAILURE IS A COMMON OCCURRENCE. A RECALL WAS ISSUED RE: UNWANTED LOW SPEED ACTIVATION OF THE ABS. PRIOR TO THE RECALL I HAD ALREADY HAD THE PROBLEM FIXED AND REQUESTED REIMBURSEMENT AFTER THE RECALL WAS ISSUED. I WAS ADVISED THAT MY TRUCK WAS NOT INCLUDED IN THE RECALL BASED SOLELY ON THE FACT THAT IT IS CURRENTLY REGISTERED IN MARYLAND AND NOT REGISTERED IN THE SPECIFIC STATES LISTED. THIS TRUCK WAS PURCHASED BRAND NEW IN PA AND WAS REGISTERED IN PA, THEN OH EXCLUSIVELY UNTIL FEB. 04 WHEN THE TRUCK WAS REGISTERED IN MARYLAND AS A RESULT OF A RELOCATION FROM OHIO. ABS MOTOR CONTINUED TO RUN AND WOULD NOT SHUT OFF. HAD TO DISCONNECT THE 60 AMP FUSE TO PREVENT BATTERY FROM RUNNING DOWN. MY FATHER FATHER-IN-LAW IS A CERTIFIED MECHANIC AND WAS DOING SOME WORK ON MY 1999 SILVERADO AND NOTICED THAT THE ABS MOTOR WAS CONTINUALLY RUNNING. TO STOP THIS HE HAD TO PULL THE FUSE. I RECENTLY DROVE MY TRUCK FROM MINNESOTA TO CALIFORNIA AND ON NUMBEROUS OCASSIONS I HAD TROUBLE STOPPING. I HAD TO PUSH THE BRAKES ALL THE WAY TO THE FLOOR AND THE TRUCK STILL WAS SLOW TO REACT. MOST OF THE TIME THERE WAS NO ONE IN FRONT OF ME, BUT THERE WERE A COUPLE TIMES WHEN I ALMOST REAR ENDED SOMEONE. I HAVEN'T DONE ANYTHING TO CORRECT THE PROBLEM BECAUSE I LIVE IN OVERSEAS. THE TRUCK IS LEFT IN MINNESOTA AND I DRIVE IT WHENEVER I AM HOME FOR VACATION. ONCE I MOVE HOME NEXT YEAR I WILL HAVE TO DO SOMETHING TO FIX THIS PROBLEM IF CHEVY HASN'T SENT OUT A RECALL. I BOUGHT THIS TRUCK IN OHIO FOR MY WIFE [XXX], SHE REPORTED THAT THE ABS BRAKE WOULD SIMPLY NOT WORK ON ACCASION AND THE PEDAL WOULD GO STRAIGHT TO THE FLOOR .WE TOOK THE VEHICLE IN TO THE DEALER BUT HE COULD NOT FIND THE PROBLEM . AT LOWS SPEEDS I WAS ABLE TO REPRODUCE THE PROBLEM. DEALERS DOWN HERE SAY THE SENSOR IS BAD. WE PULLED THE FUSE TO DISABLE THE BRAKES WHEN THE VEHICLE WAS NEW BECAUSE A DELPHI ENGINEER TOLD ME THAT WOULD AT LEAST KEEP THE BRAKES WORKING . I HAVE 58000 MILES ON MY TRUCK AND WE HAVE REPLACED THE CALIPERS THE ROTORS AND EVEN SOME OF THE BRAKE LINES HAVE RUSTED RUPTURING AND CAUSING A LOSS OF BRAKES. THE POWER STEERING HOSE LINE RUSTED AT THE COOLER RADIATOR. . YESTERDAY THE CHEVY DEALER IN GAINSEVILLE CALLED ME TO THE SHOP TO SEE HOW THE FRAME IS BEING EATEN AWAY , I BELIEVE THE VEHICLE EITHER WASN'T PROBERLY PREPARED WHEN BUILT OR THE PROTECTIVE PAINTS AND COATING WERE DEFFECTIVE. THE RECORDS AT JIM DOUGLAS CHEVOLET EVIDENCE THE EXPENSES WE HAVE INCUURED TO KEEP THE TRUCK OPERATIONAL. THE ABS MODULE AND THE LOSS OF BREAK LINES SEEM TO RELFLECT EXTEMELY POOR METAL COOROSION RESISTANCE , EVEN BOTH MY TAILGATE CABLE RUSTED AND BROKE .EACH TIME I HAVE TAKEN IN TO THE CHEVY DEALER FOR REPAIR THEY ARE AMAZED AT THE CORROSION PROBLEMS. EVEN THE TIRE JACK IN THE PASSENGER COMPARTMENT WAS RUSTED AND IT WAS NEVER USED. THE SCREWS INSIDE THE CENTER CONSOLE WERE RUSTED. I SPENT BETWEEN 2500.00 AND 3000.00 IN JUST THE BRAKE PROBLEM AND THAT IS WITHOUT TRYING TO FIX THE DEFECTIVE SENSOR MODULE. I ASSURE ABSENT A FORCED RECALL I SUSPECT GM WILL NOT FIX THIS PROBLEM. I HAVE CHECKED WITH E OTHERS WHO ALSO OWN THIS YEAR TRUCK SILVERADO AND THEY ALSO HAVE HAD PROBLEM. SOME HAVE HAD IT FIXES AND OTHERS NOT. THE ABS BRAKES WOULD COME ON IF I WENT OVER BUMPS OR RAILROAD TRACKS, AND THEN I WOULD HAVE TO PUMP MY BRAKES TO GET THEM BACK (OR THE TRUCK WOULDN'T STOP). FINALLY, AT 40,000 MILES MY ABS LIGHT CAME ON, MY ABS PUMP CAME ON AND WOULD NOT TURN OFF, AND THE CHEVY DEALERSHIP TOLD ME MY ABS MODULE BLEW. I WAS QUOTED $1,200 TO REPLACE IT. INSTEAD, I PULLED MY ABS FUSE AND OPERATE THE VEHICLE WITHOUT ABS BRAKES AS I REFUSE TO PAY FOR WHAT I BELIEVE IS A DEFECTIVE ABS SYSTEM. IT IS MY HUMBLE OPINION THAT CHEVY SHOULD RECALL AND REPLACE THIS DEFECT.

GM 1999 SILVERADO ANIT LOCK BRAKE UNIT WOULD NOT SHUT OFF EVEN WHEN TRUCK WAS SHUT OFF. I TRIED TO DISCONNECT BATTERY AND BURNED FINGERS. TO CORRECT THE FAILURE PULLED THE FUSE, BUT BRAKES DO NOT STOP GOOD I HAVE TO PRESS REAL HARD TO STOP. THE PROBLEM WITH THE ABS BRAKE IS THAT THE PUMP MOTOR IS PRODUCING VOLTAGE SPIKES AND THE AMPLIFIER SHORTS AND WON'T SHUT OFF DRAWING HIGH CURRENT AND ANTI LOCK BRAKE FAILURE AND OVER HEATING OF BATTERY TERMINALS CAUSING BURNS WHEN TOUCHED. THIS WAS SO HOT THAT THE POST CAME OUT OF THE BATTERY. TO CORRECT THE PROBLEM GM NEEDS TO CHANGE THE AMPLIFIER TO ORIGINAL FAILED 75 AMP PUMP MOTOR POWER AMPLIFIER WITH A DOUBLE DUTY RATED 104 AMP (360 AMP SURGE) DEVICE. ADD A 600 WATT HIGH SPEED VOLTAGE SUPPRESSOR TO PROTECT THE EBCM AND THE NEW AMPLIFIER SET FROM VOLTAGE SPIKES CREATED BY THE PUMP MOTOR AND JUMP STARTS. I HAVE NOT HAD THIS FIXED ON MY TRUCK BECAUSE I HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR A RECALL. WHEN ARE YOU GOING TO MAKE THEM FIX THIS. YOU HAVE MANY LISTING OF THIS FAILURE ON YOUR SITE. LISTED AS BRAKE LIGHTS ON, ABS ETC. EBAY NOW HAS PEOPLE WHO FIX THESE MODULES ONE HAS OVER 400 SATISFIED CUSTOMERS. I THIS THIS MAY EFFECT MILLION OF TRUCKS. I AM LOOKING AT UPWARDS OF $1200 TO HAVE THIS MODULE ON THE ABS PUMP FIXED, AND THAT MIGHT NOT SOLVE THE PROBLEM LONG TERM. IT COULD HAPPEN AGAIN RIGHT AWAY. WHILE DRIVING MY 1999 CHEVY SILVERADO, THE ABS LIGHT CAME ON AND STAYED ON. A LITTLE SEARCHING BROUGHT ME TO THE ABS MODULE ON THE FRAME UNDER THE LEFT SIDE OF THE PASSENGER COMPARTMENT. IT WAS RUNNING, EVEN AFTER THE VEHICLE WAS TURNED OFF AND THE KEY REMOVED, IT CONTINUED TO RUN. I DISCONNECTED THE POWER TO THE UNIT AND TAPPED THE WIRE UP SO AS NOT TO LET IT GET WET,(OBVIOUSLY,IT'S CARRYING A LOT OF JUCE.) WHEN I TOOK THE TRUCK TO THE DEALER WHERE I HAD PURCHASED IT THE SERVICE MANAGER TOLD ME THAT THE ENTIRE MODULE WAS BAD AND IT WOULD COST NEARLY 1000 DOLLARS TO FIX. HE SAID THAT THE MODULE ITSELF WAS GOING TO COST 761 DOLLARS. IT'S MY OPINION THAT NOTHING MORE THAN AN INTERNAL RELAY HAS GONE BAD AND I KNOW FOR A FACT IT HAS HAPPENED TO OTHERS TOO. MY TRUCK HAS ONLY 35,000 MILES ON IT AND SHOULDN'T BE PRESENTING COSTLY REPAIRS LIKE THIS WHILE I'M STILL MAKING PAYMENTS ON IT AND HAVE BABIED IT IN THE 13 MONTHS THAT I'VE OWNED IT. WITH UNDER 60,000 MILES THE ABS FAILED ALLOWING THE MODULE MOTOR TO RUN CONSTANTLY. CHEVY MECHANIC ADVIDSED PULLING THE 60 AMP FUSE AS THE COST FOR THE MODULE WAS OVER $500. ALOS TOLD TO BE CAREFUL DRIVNG ON WET PAVEMENT AS THE BRAKING WOULD NOT BE AS SAFE W/O THE ABS SYTEM WORKING. CONTACTED CHEVY AND NEGOTIATED THE REPLACEMENT OF THE ABS MODULE, HOWEVER UPON AGREEING TO PAY FOR 1/2 THE COST THE CHEVY FOLKS RAISE THE INITIAL $500 DEALER QUOTE TO $899 WHICH WOULD NOT INCLUDE THE LABOR. AS THE SAFETY IS LESS WHEN ON WET PAYMENT I AM L;OOKING FOR A RECALL OF THIS ABS SYSTEM. THE CHEVY MECHAINC SAY IT IS A COMMON PROBLEM WIHT THE USSUAL COURSE OF ACTION BEING TO PULL THE FUSE AND RUN WITH THE BRAKE WARNING LIGHT ON. I OWN A 1999 CHEVY SIVLERADO. ON 12/27/02 I STARTED MY VEHICLE AFTER LEAVING WORK AND NOTICED THAT THE ABS LIGHT WENT ON. AFTER I GOT HOME AND SHUT THE TRUCK OFF THERE WAS A NOISE COMING FROM UNDER THE TRUCK (SOUNDED LIKE AN ELECTRIC MOTOR RUNNING). I DROVE THE TRUCK OVER TO MY LOCAL CHEVY DEALERSHIP AND ONE OF THE TECH'S LISTENED TO THE TRUCK AND DIAGNOSED IT AS THE ABS MODULE. I TOLD THE SERVICE MANAGER TO CALL ME WITH A QUOTE FOR REPAIR. HE CALLED ABOUT AN HOUR LATER AND SAID THAT IT WAS THE ABS MODULE, AND IT WOULD COST AROUND $1000 TO REPAIR. I DECLINED REPAIR AS I WAS TOLD THAT THE BRAKES WOULD FUNCTION FINE BY JUST PULLING THE ABS FUSE (THE ABS WOULDN'T WORK, BUT THE BRAKES WOULD WORK FINE). TRYING TO NEGOTIATE WITH DEALER AND/OR GM ON REPAIR COST. TRUCK HAS 60000 MILES, SO THEY ARE SAYING "OUT OF WARRANTY". I SAID "STAND BEHIND YOUR PRODUCT!" SAW THESE OTHER INSTANCES OF THE SAME PROBLEM ON THIS WEB SITE, SO I THOUGHT I WOULD ADD MINE. LOOKS LIKE THEY HAVE A PROBLEM WITH THE ABS ON THIS VEHICLE AND THEY ARE NOT TAKING CARE OF IT.

WE HAVE BEEN HAVING PROBLEMS WITH OUR ABS SINCE WE PURCHASED THE VEHICLE. AT TIMES THE ABS WOULD SUDDENLY ENGAGE WHEN IT WASN'T WARRANTED (I.E., IN THE MIDDLE OF SUMMER ON A DRY ROAD, SLOWLY APPROACHING A STOP). THEN SUDDENLY, BACKING OUT OF THE DRIVEWAY THE ABS LIGHT CAME ON, ALONG WITH THE BUZZING NOISE. THE ONLY WAY TO STOP THE NOISE WAS TO PULL OUT THE FUSE TO THE ABS SYSTEM. UPON RESEARCHING THE PROBLEM ON THE INTERNET, I'VE NOTICED THAT THIS IS A VERY COMMON PROBLEM AMONG OTHER 1999 CHEVY SILVERADO OWNERS. SOMETHING IS OBVIOUSLY WRONG WITH THE ABS SYSTEM IN THESE MODELS. GENERAL MOTORS WON'T DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT. THE UNIT COSTS $1000 TO FIX, WHICH BY THE TIME THE DEFECT USUALLY SHOWS UP, WARRANTIES DON'T COVER. ABS BRAKES SEVERLY RESIST THE OPERATORS ATTEMPTS TO BRING THE VEHICLE TO A STOP AT SLOW SPEED. THE BRAKE PEDAL VIBRATES BUT INCREASED PRESSURE BY THE OPERATOR WILL NOT BEING THE VEHICLE TO A STOP. YOU HAVE TO TAKE YOUR FOOT OFF OF THE PEDAL COMPLETELY, THEN SLAM IT DOWN WITH FORCE TO GET THE TRUCK TO JERK TO A STOP MANY FEET PAST WHERE IT WOULD NORMALLY STOP. THIS FREQUENTLY CAUSES A LOSS OF CONTROL AT SLOW SPEED SUCH AS PULLING UP TO A GAS PUMP OR STOPPING AT AN INTERSECTION. ON NUMEROUS OCCASIONS, THE VEHICLE FAILED TO STOP UNTIL IT WAS WELL INTO AN INTERSECTION. DEALER WOULD NOT REPAIR UNLESS "THE ABS LIGHT CAME ON" WHICH IT NEVER DID. THE FAILURE OF THE ABS ECU AND PUMP ARE DUE TO THE LOCATION OF THE UNIT WHICH IS LOCATED UNDER THE VEHICLE BELOW THE DRIVERS SEAT. THE ABS UNIT IS IN THE DIRECT SPASH PATH OF THE FRONT LEFT TIRE. I DONT THINK THE ENGINEERS THAT DESIGNED THIS UNIT TOOK INTO CONSIDERATION THAT THE ABS ECU AND PUMP GET A PRESURE WASH EVERTIME IT RAINS. WHEN THE UNIT FAILED I WENT TO THE DEALER IN NORMAN, OK (MARK HEITZ) AND TALKED TO THE SERVICE MANAGER ABOUT IT. HE TOLD ME THAT THEY REPLACE THESE UNITS QUITE OFTEN BECAUSE THEY GET WATER IN THEM AND SHORT OUT. NOT BEING FAMILIAR WITH THE UNIT I ASKED MORE QUESTION. THE ECU IS SEALED TO THE PUMP AND WHEN WATER ENTERS THROUGH THE SEAL IT SHORTS OUT THE ECU AND STARTS RUSTING OUT THE PUMP. THE RUST IN THE PUMP CONCERNS ME BECAUSE IT CAN POTENTIALY CONTAMINATE THE BRAKE FLUID AND CAUSE BRAKE FAILURE. TOM-THE SERVICE MANAGER AT MARK HEITZ EXACT WORDS "THE PUMP HAD WATER IN IT AND IT WAS FULL OF RUST" MARK HEITZ PHONE NUMBER IS 405-321-7021. THE OTHER FAILURE IS THE PARKING BREAK. I DONT THINK IT EVER WORKED THE DAY IT CAME OFF THE DEALER LOT. THE FIRST TIME I TRIED TOUSED THE PARKING BRAKE WAS AT BEAVER LAKE IN ARKANSAS ON A CAMPING TRIP. THIS WAS LAST SUMMER -SUMMER OF 2000-. I PARKED ON A STEEP HILL AND APPLIED THE PARKING BREAK . THE PEDAL WENT TO THE FLOOR RATER EASILY AND I THOUGHT NOTHING OF IT, THAT WAS UNITLL I GOT IN THE TRUCK AND TRIED TO PUT IT IN DRIVE, I HAD A HARD TIME GETTING IT OUT OF PARK. THE NUT ON THE TENSIONER SHAFT TO THE PARKING BRAKE SYSTEM UNDER THE TRUCK IS COMPLETELY TIGHTENED. THE CABLE BRANCES OFF TO EACH REAR CALIPER AND IS EACH ATTACHED TO A LEVER ON THE CALIPERS. I'VE OBSERVED THE LEVERS MOVE AND STILL NO PARKING BRAKE. THE LEVERS LOOK TO BE FULLY ENGAGED, THAT IS THE LEVERS ARE PULLED AS FAR FORWARD AS POSSIBLE BY THE CABLES. WHEN STOPPING ON ROUGH ROAD THE BRAKES RELEASED AND THEN LOCKED UP. I TALKED TO THE DEALER AND THEY ADVISED THEY HAVEN'T RECEIVED ANY COMPLAINTS ON THE BRAKE SYSTEMS. PROBLEM WAS NOT RESOVED.

THE ABS SYSTEM/PUMP MADE A TERRIBLE SOUND AND THE WARNING LIGHT CAME ON INSIDE THE VEHICLE. I CONTACTED THE DEALER WHO STATED JUST TO UNPLUG THE ABS POWER SUPPLY BUT THE BRAKES WERE FINE. ANOTHER FRIEND, JULIAN SCAFF, HAS THE SAME MAKE/MODEL/YEAR TRUCK AND HAS HAD THE EXACT ABS FAILURE. BOTH WERE AT APPROX. 45,000 MILES. I HAVE ALSO HAD PROBLEMS WITH THE REAR BRAKES LOCKING UP AND NOT UNLOCKING FOR A FEW MINUTES. THIS HAS CAUSED UNTOLD WEAR AND REDUCED FUEL MILAGE CONSIDERABLY. THESE ARE SERIOUS SAFETY ISSUES.

ABS FAILED ON WET SURFACE,SPUN 450 DEG,AFTER SPIN FAILED TO STOP VEHICLE. HISTORY: APPOXIMATELY 4-6 TIMES OVER A NINE MONTH PERIOD, WHEN THE BRAKES WERE FIRST APPLIED THEY DID NOT APPEAR TO WORK. UPON RELEASING THE BRAKE AND REAPPLYING, THE BRAKES THEN WORKED. THEN OVER THREE MONTH PERIOD THE BRAKES BEGAN TO FEEL CHOPPY WHEN STOPPING. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER AND ALL FOUR ROTORS NEEDED TO BE TURNED (ONLY 10000 MILES ON VEHICLE). TWO DAYS LATER ON A WET SURFACE, GOING 16-20 MPH ON A RIGHT TURN WITH A SLIGHT UPHILL GRADE, WHEN THE BRAKES WERE APPLIED THE BACK END OF THE TRUCK CAME SPINNING AROUND IN A CLOCKWISE DIRECTION. AT 90 DEGREES THE BRAKE WAS RELEASED. THE TRUCK SPUN A TOTAL OF 450 DEGREES. THEN THE BRAKES WERE APPLIED HARD, YOU COULD HEAR THE SOUND OF THE ABS BUT THE TRUCK DID NOT RESPOND AT ALL, THERE WAS NO BRAKING ACTION. THE VEHICLE CRASHED HEAD ON INTO A GUARD RAIL. THE ENTIRE FRONT BUMPER NEEDS REPLACING. FORTUNATELY NO ONE WAS INJURED.

THE BRAKES GET HARD AND WON'T WORK, THEN THEY SUDDENLY LOCK UP. THIS HAS HAPPENED TO US SEVERAL TIMES, AND TO THE SERVICE GUY ONCE. THE FIRST TWO TIMES IT WAS IN FOR SERVICE, THEY COULDN'T DUPLICATE THE PROBLEM. AFTER THEY WENT OUT ON THE SERVICE GUY, THEY REPLACED THE BRAKE BOOSTER. THEY WENT OUT AGAIN, AND THEY REPLACED THE MASTER CYLINDER. THEY JUST WENT OUT AGAIN, AT AN INTERSECTION, AND WE ALMOST HAD AN ACCIDENT. IT IS BACK AT THE CHEVY DEALER, BUT THEY DON'T KNOW, AND CHEVY DOESN'T KNOW WHAT TO DO WITH IT. THIS IS A DANGEROUS SITUATION. IS ANYONE ELSE REPORTING PROBLEMS WITH THESE TRUCKS?

ABS: WHILE BRAKING OVER SEMI-ROUGH/ROUGH SURFACE, BRAKES SEEM TO SLIP OR DISENGAGE, CAUSING EXTREME VIBRATION. TRANSMISSION: WHILE PULLING TRAILER OR ACCELERATING UPHILL, EXCESSIVE VIBRATION OCCURS. STEERING: WHILE SPEEDS 45 MPH+, MODERATE VIBRATION IN FRONT-END AND STERRING COLUMN. SUSPENSION: WHILE TIURNING WHEELS MAXIMUM LEFT OR RIGHT, OR DRIVING OVER UNEVEN SURFACES, HEAR A CLICKING NOISE IN FRONT-END. REAR WINDOW: LATCH DOES NOT SECURELY TIGHTEN WINDOW CAUSING EXCESSIVE WIND NOISE.

SINCE DATE OF PURCHASE, TRANSMISSION HAS BEEN VIBRATING AND CAUSING ENGINE TO FEEL LIKE IT IS UNDER STRESS/HEAVY LOAD. CONTACTED DEALER AND ANOTHER CHEV. SERV. BOTH ADVISE CHEV. KNOWS OF PROBLEM BUT DOES NOT KNOW WHAT IT IS OR HOW TO CORRECT IT. CONTACTED CHEV. CUST.SERV. TOTAL WASTE OF TIME. THEY DO NOT CARE. SIMPLY STATE IF CHEV. TAC SAYS THEY ARE WORKING ON PROBLEM WHAT DO I CARE. THEY WILL FIX IT EVENTUALLY. PROBLEM IS IF THEY DONT KNOW WHAT THE PROBLEM IS HOW CAN CHEV. CLAIM IT IS NOT A SAFETY ISSUE. SECOND PROBLEM- ABS BRAKES ARE ACTIVATING ON DRY HARD SURFACE AT SPEEDS UNDER 40 MPH. DEALER SYAYS PROBLEM DOES NOT EXIST. STATED THEY CALLED CHEV. TAC KNOW NOTHING ABOUT BREAK PROBLEMS SO THERE MUST NOT BE ONE. TRIED TO SAY THAT I DONT KNOW HOW ABS WORKS. HAVE HAD ABS FOR 15 YEARS KNOW IT PRETTY WELL. IT IS DEFINITELY ACTIVATING WHEN IS SHOULD NOT. IT SEEMS THAT CHEV. IS NOT CONCERNED BECASUE TRUCK WAS BOUGHT AND PAID FOR.
