There was a recall in 2019 (NHTSA Recall No. 19V645000) on certain GM vehicles for vacuum pump failure, which could affect braking and engine performance. The fix usually involved reprogramming the ECM to improve how the brake assist system operates - not necessarily replacing the vacuum pump unless it had already failed. My local dealership did the reprogramming but in 2025 the vacuum pump totally failed and left my vehicle stranded on the interstate. I had to have towed to a mechanic shop and the inside of the pump had broken into 3 pieces. So I had to have the vacuum pump replaced. During this time my car did not have brakes and put me and surrounding vehicles in a very dangerous situation. The mechanic gave me the broken part to show the dealership. The dealership said there isn’t anything they can do for assistance as I am out of warranty. There was a message that came up that said to service the braking system right before they stopped working.
The contact owns a 2017 Chevrolet Tahoe. The contact stated that occasionally while driving at various speeds, the vehicle failed to accelerate as intended while the accelerator pedal was depressed, and the RPM was elevated. In addition, the contact stated that the vehicle would brake independently while the accelerator pedal was depressed. The check engine and Electronic Stability Control warning lights would occasionally illuminate. The contact stated that restarting the vehicle was a temporary repair; however, the failure persisted. The contact stated that the windshield wipers activated independently, and all four doors locked independently. The vehicle was taken to a local dealer where it was diagnosed with a fuel injector #6 failure; however, the part was replaced approximately one month prior to the failure reoccurring. The vehicle was not repaired due to the cost. The contact related the failure to NHTSA Campaign Number: 19V761000 (Service Brakes, Hydraulic, Service Brakes, Electronic Stability Control (ESC); however, the VIN was not included. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 95,000.

Urgent Attention Needed for Chevy 2017 Tahoe Safety Concern The Chevy 2017 Tahoe is presenting a critical safety issue with the recurring error message "Trailer Brake System" on the dashboard. This leads to a complete shutdown of the vehicle and loss of control at random intervals, posing a severe danger, especially on high-speed roads and highways. Despite attempting repairs, including replacing the controller module, plug adapter, and trailer brake switch, the issue persists. This widespread problem, affecting many users, indicates a potential manufactured defect demanding immediate attention and a recall. It is crucial to address this matter promptly due to its hazardous nature, even for those who do not use a trailer. The safety of vehicle occupants is at stake, and urgent action is required to rectify this concerning issue.
The contact owns a 2017 Chevrolet Tahoe. The contact stated that while driving at 75 MPH, several unknown warning lights flashed on the instrument panel, and the vehicle briefly shut off, then restarted while still in motion. Later, while driving at 45 MPH and attempting to complete a turn, the vehicle inadvertently lost motive power. The contact was unable to pull to the shoulder of the roadway, but the vehicle was able to restart. After restarting the vehicle, the vehicle returned to normal functionality, but the failure became a regular occurrence. The stability control warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic, who diagnosed failures with the alternator and transmission. The vehicle was repaired, but the failure reoccurred. After investigating the failure, the contact related the failure to NHTSA Campaign Number: 19V761000 (Service Brakes, Hydraulic, Service Brakes, Electronic Stability Control), but the VIN was not included. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was unknown.

2017 Chevrolet Tahoe Brake Booster Vacuum Pump failed and had to be replaced. Booster sensor as well at cost of $1,493.22. Our vehicle almost hit another car in line for pre-school with children around and almost hit our garage doors due to this issue. Full recall in Canada but not USA? Why? "The amount of vacuum created by the vacuum pump may decrease over time. As the vacuum level drops, the brake assist decreases, increasing braking effort, extending the distance required to stop the vehicle, thereby increasing the risk of a crash"
The brakes become very hard to engage while at a low speed, consistently in traffic and the car rider line at school. It has caused me to almost hit cars in front of me and people walking between cars. To me, it feels like the brakes are sticking and not releasing fully when I release the pedal to recoil and as if a line is going to be filled with pressurized air to work again and it is not able to do so. If i wait and let the cars go far ahead of me and the blast without using brakes, there isn’t a need to keep using the brake m, but this is not how to drive in traffic and it isn’t safe. It also is scary to not rely on the function of my brakes and it is putting people at risk every day I drop my kids off or kick them up from school. I have had the brakes evaluated for repair, but I am told there is no issue with the brake pads or roters. No warning lights. It resolved after having my brakes evaluated and tires replaced, but it has returned.
Braking system becomes inoperable when the brakes are applied at the same time the forward collision system is engaged by the vehicles computer.
First the brakes went out, then the AC, now the transmission. It has only 60,000 miles.
When going a low speed 15mph when hitting the brake car would not completely stop. When driving rpm will go high and would not go over 50mph
THE BRAKES ARE REALLY HARD WHEN PRESSING TAKES ALOT OF FORCE AND ALSO TAKES VERY LONG TO STOP NOW MY TRUCK PEDAL IS SOFT AND MY TRUCK IS STUTTERING FROM LOSS OF VACCUUM AND ALSO MADE ME FLY DOWN MY DRIVEWAY WITH NO WAY TO STOP
When pulling out of my driveway my gas pedal foot became stuck on the gas pedal. I could not remove my foot from the gas pedal. I immediately stepped on the brake pedal and then my Tahoe accelerated rapidly. I removed my foot from the brake pedal because any pressure on the brake just caused the car to accelerate faster. I then managed to wiggle my gas pedal foot from off of the gas pedal, it took a lot of effort. I was wearing normal men's shoes with no protrusions of any kind. I have recently seen in the news several similar occurrences including one that resulted in a fatality and others being injured as the car accelerated into an Apple store. In two of these cases that I've seen in the news the drivers have reported that their foot became stuck on the gas pedal and when they applied the brakes the car accelerated out of control. This is exactly what happened to me except i managed to get the car under control before I hit anything. My inspection of the Tahoe's pedals revealed that the two pedals are very close to each other and when applying the brakes the brake pedal comes down on the foot that is somehow stuck on the gas pedal. I believe the stuck accelerator foot was somehow trapped under the brake pedal. The pedals are too close together.
While driving in a parking lot to go thru a drive thru to pick food I was moving at a slow speed 10 to 15 mph and slowing to a stop my brake pedal became very hard to push and my Tahoe did not stop right away. I almost hit the car in front of me. I put the vehicle in park, turned it off, waited 30 to 45 seconds, turned the vehicle back on and put it in drive and slowly started moving in the drive thru line. When I stepped on the brakes to stop again the pedal got hard to push again and it did not stop right away. Brake Assist warning came on in the dashboard when I moved and tried to stop again. I drove home with extreme caution and as I was rolling into my driveway the same thing happened again that happened in the drive thru. I have parked my Tahoe and will have it towed to dealership.
HARD BRAKE PEDAL RESULTING IN LITTLE OR NO STOPPING POWER WHEN APPLYING THE BRAKES AT LOW SPEED. TO GET THE VEHICLE TO STOP, YOU MUST STOMP ON THE PEDAL AS HARD AS YOU CAN. THE SITUATION TYPICALLY OCCURS WHEN PARKING. THE BRAKE APPLICATION OR TWO ARE FINE, BUT AFTER THAT THE BRAKES FAIL. AND ALSO MAKE A VIBERATION IN THE BRAKE PEDAL WHILE SOUNDING ROUGH! WAS DRIVING TO WORK AND BRAKES PEDAL WENT TO THE FLOOR WITH NO PRESSURE AT THE PEDAL.
When driving at low speeds, the brakes are hard to engage which can result in crashing into objects/people without being able to safely stop. This happens in parking lots, stop and go traffic on the busy interstate and in drive-thrus. This can be dangerous for the driver/passengers and others outside the vehicle or objects. This is also a huge safety issue when driving down a steep incline at low speeds and having to pull out into traffic due to it not stopping appropriately. Vehicle has been inspected by a mechanic however there are no warning lamps illuminated. As stated before, brake issue happens only at low speeds. From my understanding there was a recall for this same issue for vehicles of certain years 2015-2018, specifically Tahoe being in the category.
Tahoe brake system failing, takes longer to stop. Brake pedal begins to feel solid on activation with little effect to slow or stop. Due to failure to stop, Almost in a few collisions and rolled down a hillside road. Tahoe is now parked. I read the 2014-2018 tahoes have a (brake) vacuum pump issue for recall. 19V645000 Recall number Called local dealership. Is not on recall list. Not submitted to dealership yet. No appointments until January 2023. I’m sure they can reproduce issue Tahoe not inspected by others No warning lights or other in vehicle advisals
Service brake assist system warning came on right after brakes malfunctioned.
I recently had my brakes and rotors replaced for this issue. Any time I’m backing my vehicle into and parking spot drive way garage etc it’s difficult to stop. I’m flooring the pedal to stop. I cracked my number because I couldn’t stop. I’ve seen an article for a recall on 2018 models that were made in 2017. My truck is a 2017 experiencing these same issues. No recalls are current for this isssue. Not sure if I’m the only one but it is happening.
The contact owns a 2017 Chevrolet Tahoe. The contact stated while driving and approaching a stop sign, the vehicle jerked as if the brake pedal was abruptly depressed. There was no warning light illuminated. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic however, no failure was found. The contact stated that the brake assist warning message was displayed. The dealer was contacted and stated that the VIN was not included in a recall. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was contacted and referred the contact to the NSHTA Hotline to file a complaint. The failure mileage was 62,000.

heard a slight noise from the front of the car, like a faint squeal of a fan belt type noise. Then I had no brakes! No warning.. then a message displayed "brake assist service" A little late. No notice and almost plowed into the car in front of me! carefully crawled home and called AAA to tow it to the Chevy dealer.
The brakes do not respond at low speeds/stop and go traffic. There is a grinding noise and the car continues to move forward even pressing down fully on break. I had it checked in Nov 2021 for this issue and the dealership said it was the rear brake pads and replaced them. It happened again today so not fixed. No warning lights come on but I am extremely nervous as I almost hit the car in front of me as we waited at a light.
The contact owns a 2017 Chevrolet Tahoe. The contact stated while the vehicle was at a standstill at a traffic light while depressing on the brake pedal, the vehicle began to shake. The contact stated no warning light was illuminated. The contact stated she continued driving and experienced the failure three times. The contact stated on the last incident she was able to park on the side of the road. The contact had another person drive the vehicle and experience the failure while parking the vehicle. The contact took the vehicle to the local dealer, where it was diagnosed with needing the vacuum pump to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. Upon investigation, the contact associated the failure with NHTSA Campaign Number: 19V761000 (Service Brakes, Hydraulic, Service Brakes, Electronic Stability Control) however, the VIN was not included. The manufacturer had not been informed of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 63,000.

Brake assist warning after brakes began to fail. Had trouble stopping in line at drive through. Strange sensation in break peddle and pressure changed from loose to real tight. Looked up recall, but said there are 0 recall services needed. Scary
At low speeds mainly backing up the abs will kick in on dry blacktop. Sometimes slowing down for a stop sign i can feel the brake pedal pulsing which leads me to believe its the abs kicking it when its not supposed to be. The tahoe has newer brakes and new tires.
Brakes fixed as part of recall. Transmission is recent problem and has since been fixed. Code p0741tcc pump , metal in pan, torque converter coming apart, valve stuff off. Our transmission failed and had to be replaced. When reviewing with staff, no surprises. They were aware that this transmission can be problematic.
1) "Service Brake Assist" sometimes appears on the dashboard when I start my vehicle. When this occurs, the brake pedal is extremely difficult to push, and increasing stopping distance is required because the vaccuum level drops. 2) Since the Electronic Brake Control Module resets within the vehicle's computer when the vehicle is turned off/back on again, the dealership cannot duplicate the problem; as it does not happen all the time. 3) There is an active recall no. 19V645000; Recall date: September 6, 2019; on the make and model year of my vehicle - 2017 Chevy Tahoe - for this exact issue; however, my specific VIN does not have any recalls tied to it. If you can please add my VIN to the same issue happening with recall no. 19V645000, I would appreciate it. 4) I contacted GM, and all they kept telling me is my vehicle does not have a recall tied to my specific VIN; however, my 2017 Chevy Tahoe is exihibiting the exact same symptoms as that which is listed in recall no. 19V645000. The solution is for the dealership to reset the Electronic Brake Control Module; however, they will not do so because they cannot replicate the issue and my VIN is not coming up on the recall list for my vehicle. 5) In the recall notice, it states that GM "has not yet provided a notification schedule", so if you can possibly let me know if my vehicle will be recalled for this issue, I would appreciate it since not having acceptable brakes to the vaccuum level drop is a safety issue. Thanks for your time! Please feel free to contact me with any questions.

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2017 CHEVROLET TAHOE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT AFTER DRIVING FOR 4 HOURS AT 55 MPH, THE BRAKE PEDAL WAS DEPRESSED TO THE FLOORBOARD WITH AN ABNORMAL GRINDING SOUND. THE SERVICE BRAKE ASSIST WARNING MESSAGE WAS DISPLAYED ON THE INSTRUMENT PANEL. THE CONTACT ENGAGED THE PARKING BRAKE TO STOP THE VEHICLE WHILE DRIVING UP AN INCLINE. THE NEXT DAY, THE BRAKES RESUMED NORMAL OPERATION ON THE DRIVE HOME. THE CONTACT STATED THAT SINCE THE FAILURE, HE HAD EXPERIENCED INTERMITTENT BRAKE FAILURE WHILE TRAVELING AT VARIOUS SPEEDS, WITH THE SAME WARNING LIGHT FLASHING ON THE INSTRUMENT PANEL. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO TITUS-WILL CHEVROLET BUICK GMC CADILLAC (2425 CARRIAGE LOOP SW, OLYMPIA, WA 98502) AND IT WAS CONFIRMED THAT THE FAILURE WAS CAUSED BY A DEFECTIVE VACUUM PUMP. THE VACUUM PUMP WAS REPLACED HOWEVER, THE FAILURE PERSISTED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN BACK TO THE SAME DEALER WHERE IT REMAINED IN THEIR POSSESSION UNREPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER HAD YET TO BE NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 75,300.

THE BRAKES ARE NOT ENGAGING IF UNDER 5 MPH ROLLING FOWARD (PHARMACY DRIVE THRU) HARD TO STOP VEHICLE USED 2 FEET TO PUSH THE BRAKE DOWN FINALLY WAS ABLE TO STOP AN ACCIDENT BY USING THE EMERGENCY BRAKE. THERE WAS A RECALL THAT WAS PERFORMED ON 9/26/2019 FOR SERVICE BRAKE ASSIST. ISSUE OCCURRED AGAIN 11/23/2020. I SPOKE TO GM AND THEY DECIDED TO REOPENED THE CASE. RECALL PROGRAMMING WAS REDONE FOR THE 2ND TIME 12/1/2020 FOR SERVICE BRAKE ASSIST. 12/2/2020 THE SAME SITUATION OCCURRED IN CAR PICK UP LINE AT SCHOOL. TOOK THE VEHICLE OUT OF PARK LET OF THE BRAKE ROLLED FOWARD 30 FEET WENT TO USE THE BRAKES AROUND 3-5 MPH AND PEDAL WAS STIFF AND WOULD NOT ENGAGE HOLDING TWO FEET ON THE PEDAL, USED EMERGENCY BRAKE TO AVOID HITTING THE CAR IN LINE IN FRONT OF ME. MY 2017 TAHOE GOING BACK TO THE CHEVY DEALERSHIP AGAIN. THIS IS A MAJOR LIABILITY SAFETY CONCERN!!!

I HAVE AN OPEN RECALL (N192268490) ON MY SUV THAT KNOWINGLY DOES HAVE ISSUES WHEN I AM DRIVING AND THE BREAKS WILL NOT STOP MY VEHICLE PROPERLY. AFTER SEVERAL ATTEMPTS TO THE LOCAL CERTIFIED CHEVROLET DEALERSHIP AND SERVICE DEPARTMENTS AND I OPENED A CASE NUMBER WITH CHEVROLET CUSTOMER SERVICE, THE ISSUE HAS NOT BEEN REMEDIED AND STILL REMAINS A DRIVING ISSUE AND SAFETY CONCERN. SINCE DECEMBER 2019, I HAVE TAKEN MY VEHICLE TO THE 2 LOCAL CERTIFIED CHEVROLET DEALERSHIPS AND SERVICE DEPARTMENTS ON 3 DIFFERENT OCCASIONS. BOTH LOCATIONS TOLD ME THE SOFTWARE IS NOT UPDATED PROPERLY THEREFORE MY VEHICLE WILL NOT EXCEPT RECALL. AFTER MY FIRST ATTEMPT TO GET THE RECALL FIXED AND THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT WAS UNSUCCESSFUL, I CONTACTED CHEVROLET DIRECTLY AND A CASE NUMBER WAS ISSUED (SERVICE REQUEST NUMBER: 9-5847462774). I COMMUNICATED FREQUENTLY WITH CHEVROLET ON RESOLVING THE RECALL ISSUE WITH MY VEHICLE. THE END RESULT, I WAS TOLD BY CHEVROLET CUSTOMER SERVICE THAT THE ISSUE IS UNABLE TO BE REPAIRED AND THE RECALL COULD NOT BE COMPLETED DUE TO A SOFTWARE UPDATE THAT CHEVROLET NEEDED AND THEY WERE UNCERTAIN IF/WHEN THE SOFTWARE UPDATE WOULD BE AVAILABLE. SINCE THE CASE WITH CHEVROLET HAS BEEN OPENED, I HAVE TAKEN MY SUV TO ANOTHER CERTIFIED CHEVROLET DEALERSHIP AND SERVICE DEPARTMENT ON 2 OTHER OCCASIONS AND THE RECALL HAS NOT BEEN RESOLVED. AFTER THE 3RD TIME I HAVE TAKEN MY SUV IN FOR THIS RECALL, I HAVE ATTEMPTED TO CONTACT CHEVROLET CUSTOMER SERVICE AGAIN VIA EMAIL AND I HAVE GOTTEN NO REPLY BACK OR RETURN PHONE CALL. IS THIS HOW A PERSON, WITH A FAMILY, THAT HAS A SAFETY ISSUE AND A RECALL ON A VEHICLE SHOULD BE TREATED? ESPECIALLY, WHEN THE VACUUM LINE FOR THE BRAKES IN MY CHEVROLET TAHOE KNOWINGLY DO NOT SEAL AND THE BRAKES DO NOT OPERATE AS INTENDED.

IN SEPTEMBER OF 2019, GMC ISSUED A RECALL FOR SEVERAL GMC VEHICLES REGARDING "SERVICE BRAKES, HYDRAULIC:POWER ASSIST:VACUUM". AS SUCH, THE VEHICLE WAS SERVICED AT THE DEALERSHIP PER THE INSTRUCTIONS ISSUED BY GMC. HOWEVER, SEVERAL MONTHS LATER, WHILE OPERATING THE VEHICLE IN REVERSE OUT OF A CROWED PARKING LOT, THE BRAKES FAILED TO STOP THE VEHICLE. PLACING THE GEAR IN NEUTRAL ALONG PLUS THE EMERGENCY BRAKE, WAS REQUIRED TO STOP THE VEHICLE. THE WAS AN EXTREMELY CLOSE CALL TO THE SAFETY OF THE SURROUNDING BYSTANDERS IN THE PARKING LOT. UPON DISCUSSIONS WITH BOTH THE DEALERSHIP AND GMC, IT WAS REPORTED THAT THE CURRENT RECALL ONLY REPROGRAMS THE COMPONENTS (REFERENCE THE LETTER ISSUED BY GMC AND THE NHTSA'S WEB SITE FOR THIS RECALL). IT WAS FURTHER COMMENTED BY BOTH THE SERVICE MANAGER AT THE DEALERSHIP AND CUSTOMER SERVICE AT GMC, THAT THIS WILL NOT ADDRESS ALL VEHICLES IDENTIFIED IN THIS RECALL, MEANING MORE ACTION MAY BE REQUIRED TO FIX THE UNDERLINING ISSUE. IN THIS CASE, SEVERAL COMPONENTS WERE NEEDED TO BE PHYSICAL REPLACED, NAMELY THE VACUUM PUMP. IN ADDITION, IT WAS ACKNOWLEDGED BY BOTH THE DEALERSHIP AND GMC THAT A CERTAIN PERCENTAGE OF THESE VEHICLES IDENTIFIED IN THE ORIGINAL RECALL WILL EXPERIENCE SIMILAR ISSUES (BRAKES FAILING TO STOP THE VEHICLE). DURING THE CALL TO GMC CUSTOMER ASSISTANCE (866.790.5600), THE SENIOR MANAGER REFUSED TO TAKE THE ADVICE TO INFORM ALL CUSTOMERS/CONSUMERS OF THIS DANGEROUS ONGOING RISK. EVEN THOUGH IT'S A KNOWN FAILURE, GMC HAS YET TO PROVIDE ADDITIONAL NOTIFICATION TO CONSUMERS THAT THE CURRENT RECALL MAY FAIL TO ADDRESS THE UNDERLINING SAFETY FAILURE TO THE BRAKING SYSTEM. GMC SHOULD ISSUE A NEW RECALL TO ADVICE THE REPLACEMENT OF THE PHYSICAL COMPONENTS OF THE VACUUM BRAKE ASSISTANCE SYSTEM BY ALL EFFECTED VEHICLES IMMEDIATELY. OTHERWISE, THEY WILL NOT REPLACE THE PARTS UNLESS THE CONSUMER EXPERIENCES AN ACTUAL FAILURE.

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2017 CHEVROLET TAHOE. THE CONTACT STATED WHILE PULLING INTO A PARKING SPOT, THE BRAKES HAD HARDENED AND WERE DIFFICULT TO DEPRESS WITHOUT WARNING. THE CONTACT THEN INSPECTED THE VEHICLE FOR ANY OBSTRUCTIONS THAT COULD HINDER HER BRAKING AND DISCOVERED NOTHING. AS SHE PROCEEDED TO PARK THE VEHICLE, THE BRAKES CONTINUED TO HARDEN; HOWEVER, THE BRAKES DID OPERATE AS NORMAL ONCE THE VEHICLE WAS RESTARTED. THE CONTACT'S HUSBAND TOOK THE VEHICLE TO CRAIN CHEVROLET 9911, I-30, LITTLE ROCK, AR 72209 WHERE THE VEHICLE WAS DIAGNOSED WITH A DEFECTIVE BRAKE BOOSTER. THE CONTACT'S REQUEST FOR A LOANER VEHICLE WAS DENIED. THE CONTACT HAD NOT REACHED OUT TO THE MANUFACTURER. THE VEHICLE HAD NOT BEEN REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 41,127.

DEPRESSING THE BRAKES, FAILED TO BRING THE VEHICLE TO A STOP. WHILE AT A LOW RATE OF SPEED, THE BRAKE PEDAL WOULD SINK TO THE FLOOR, AND THERE WOULD BE NO STOPPING POWER. THIS OCCURRED 3 TIMES IN A SINGLE DAY. WE ROLLED THROUGH THE END OF SEVERAL DRIVEWAYS, DIRECTLY INTO THE MIDDLE OF THE STREET. WE CONTACTED THE DEALERSHIP, AND THEY CONFIRMED THERE IS A SERVICE BULLETIN FOR THE ISSUE, AND THE VEHICLE SHOULD GET IMMEDIATE AND NECESSARY REPAIRS. IF IT HELPS, THE SERVICE NUMBER WITHIN CHEVROLET IS: #PIT5361D ATTACHED IS AN IMAGE OF THE EXACT DIAGNOSIS AND CONFIRMATION FROM THE CHEVROLET DEALERSHIP. WE WERE FORTUNATE NO OTHER TRAFFIC WAS APPROACHING US. OTHERS MAY NOT BE SO LUCKY!

DRIVING IN TRAFFIC SLOW SPEED, BRAKES WENT TO FLOOR, LOST POWER BRAKES, POSSIBLY VACUUM PRESSURE. VERY HARD TO STOP VEHICLE. BRAKES WORKED AFTER DRIVING AT A HIGHER SPEED WHILE ATTEMPTING TO EXIT THE ROAD. THIS IS A BRAKE BOOSTER/VACUUM LOSS ISSUE IN MY OPINION. THIS IS A 1 YEAR OLD VEHICLE. THIS SHOULD NOT BE HAPPENING. I HAVE VIDEO OF THIS HAPPENING.
