AS PER GM THIS TYPE OF CRASH WOULD NOT HAVE CREATED A DEPLOYMENT OF THE AIRBAG HOWEVER; MY SON CRACKED THE FRONT WINDSHIELD WHEN HIS HEAD HIT IT AT IMPACT WITH THE TRUCK AND AGAIN, THE ENTIRE FRONT END OF THE VEHICLE WAS SMASHED. IF THIS TYPE OF IMPACT DOESN'T CREATE AN AIRBAG DEPLOYMENT I AM NOT QUITE SURE WHAT DOES? *KB
